Simon wondered if his parents had already sent him his owl. He wasn't too enthused to see the bird because he was evil but he knew well that his mother would have sent a letter for him and would want a reply back. So he walked up to the Owlery and hoped that the bird wasn't there, yet.

Once he stepped in he felt goosebumps on his spine and suddenly felt feathers on his face. Great, Dunkan had spotted him. "Ouch...Dunk...stop." Simon said, trying to pry the bird from him. That owl was going to be the death of him. Finally, the bird stopped and decided to sit on a new spot and perched himself on top of Simon's head. "I'm glad you missed me." the boy said, sarcastically. Damn bird.

Dunkan gave a satisfied hoot and dropped the parchment he was holding. The boy could pick it up from the ground if he wanted to. Dunkan didn't care one bit. Hoot!

Derian shook his head at the curious way Eino put things together, "No, I mean my name is Derian. If you thought I was talking about my owl, though, his name is Enki." He took the other boy's hand and shook it warmly. "I am a first year Gryffindor. And its nice to meet you. You're the first Ravenclaw I've met, and so far its been a fun acquaintance." He grinned. While definitely a little bonkers, this Eino seemed to be a very interesting kind of person; and Derian found himself wanting to get to know the other better... he would just have to work on communicating clearly.

"Oh, I see. It is very nice to meet you, Derian." Eino said still shaking the boy's hand. Derian's owl, Enki, was very nice looking and ought to make a very handsome hat some day, he though. Eino was also distracted for a second by how similar his name was to the owl's. They shared three letters, only they were placed differently. "If you ever find yourself with spare time, and you happen to like creatures of all kinds, you should like to join my club Y.W.H.O." In spite of not having any plans for now, Eino thought he should recruit more people for his club, and begin making preparations for the summer. "We hunt to help." That was a nice and catchy line, but probably very vague. "We try to capture creatures who are in danger or endangering humans and return them to their home." That was much better. "All my friends are in it." Yes, all eight of them, how sad. Unless he could Faustus as a member and a friend, then it would be nine.

Derian nodded, "Sure, I'll join your club! I do happen to have an affinity for animals, and seeing other animal lovers in action is nice. And that gives you another friend that has joined up." When the handshake was completed, he stuffed his hands in his pockets and shrugged to wake Enki up, "So, since you're a second year, do you have any info on any of the professors? Like... which ones should I avoid and the like?" He tilted his head as he waited for the answer.

"Great" Eino exclaimed happily! How exciting it was to have yet another member to help them, but most importantly another friend. Eino was very relieved to hear Derian was also a creature lover, and was willing to help benevolently. As for the professors, well yes, and seeing as Derian liked animals, "Professor Maya Saylen, the Care of Magical Creatures is very nice and intelligent. You should like her, she loves all creatures too." Let's see, who else? Eino dared not mention Professor Di, good thing she had left, too, not because he disliked her but after last years incident he would never be able to look at her again, let alone attend another one of her classes. "Professor Lafay, you see," He lowered his voice "many of the students dislike her, but I find her very delightful." Well, she was harsh but only if provoked, at least she had never been rude to Eino. "As long as you don't disrespect her, or speak to her, or look her in the eye, or breathe her air, you will be okay." He gave the boy a last piece of advice, hoping he wouldn't be too intimidated by her. "Oh, she's the potions Professor, and great at it, too."

Raven didn't forget his Aguiluz, he came here almost every other day to give Aguiluz the owl a tonic and a pellet.

Raven viewed the owlery interesting, maybe he can rest here a bit, watching who will emerged from the staircase

No, no, no. When Charisa asked her mum and papa for a pet, she was fully expecting a frog. Yep, definitely a frog. Why? Because she loved frogs, of course. But instead she got, drum roll please, an OWL. And that was most definitely not a frog.

For the first time since arriving at Hogwarts, Charisa had climbed up to the owlery in search of Sova. Her initial sort of bitterness at getting the tawny owl instead of a nicely amphibious creature had faded, and she was beginning to feel all sorts of guilt for not coming there sooner with a nice treat or two.

She should be thankful. Yes, thankful that she had a pet at all. Calling for Sova, Charisa held out an Eeylops owl treat in her palm and let her peck it away. She wasn't so bad. She didn't bite like a lot of the other owls around. And Charisa thought for a moment that she could see a Portuguese painted frog in her future.

Erm. Charisa noticed for the first time a boy, a Gryffindor boy, standing there alone. Was he just watching for someone to enter the owlery? She gave him a half a wave of greeting. "Hello, there." She wasn't staring was she? Well, he was doing it first.

"ohh, Hello there" he replied. here is a look like Ravenclaw --Blue robes --yes, she is Ravenclaw. His waiting is sooner he find --he think an owl lover like him. His Aguiluz is wooting in the upper part of the owlery. "I'm Raven" he immediately reached his hand to the lady

"Hi, Raven," Charisa said, taking the hand he had offered to her and shaking firmly. "I'm Charisa." She let a light smile slid onto her face. He had been nice and introduced himself, so that was the least she could do. Obviously, he was a Gryffindor, as indicated by his robes. "You've got a handsome owl. That is your owl, right?" she said, pointing up toward the owl that was hooting at the moment.

Alcemee walked into the Owlery to get her two Barn owls, Snowy and Ember. There was no way she was going to let them be in the Owlery, all by themselves. Well, of course they would be with many other owls, but Ember and Snowy did not really like other owls much. They preferred to be with Alcemee. She saw them perched in one of the highest places and called them down; she then brought them out of the Owlery.

"Yeah, that is Aguiluz, he always like that, when I allowed him to with them" *saying about other owl*
"I came here to give him some pellet and tonic, he didn't stop hooting after a fed him" he says.
Raven paused he didn't want the claw be irritated, she must be answer first.

Charisa nodded as Raven spoke about his owl. "What kind of owl is he?" she asked curiously. She was a Ravvie. She liked knowing things. In the meantime, she called for Sova again, who had flown off in apparent boredom at two humans conversing. The owl landed on a on a post next to her. Charisa stroked her gently.

"you have too, very beautiful owl" Raven exclaim "Aguiluz is an Eagle Owl, don't know why the reason being 'eagle owl', his name Aguiluz is derived from eagle" he added. Raven saw the interest in Charisa's eyes, Raven think 'No wonder she is a Claw, interested in all aspect of learning'

"Thank you." Charisa beamed at her owl, and then back at Raven. She scrutinized the eagle owl, who she'd just learned was called "Aguiluz," and nodded here and there at the explanation the Gryffindor boy was giving. "That's fascinating," she said when he was done. "My owl's name has a meaning too. But it's a lot less sophisticated." She grinned as she gestured at the tawny owl on the post beside her. "Her name is Sova, and that means 'owl' in Russian." Charisa gave her owl another stroke, but this time it was met with a sharp nip to her left index finger. "OWW." Sova had broken the skin and left her bleeding. Bad owl!

Raven immediately react on the bleeding finger. "try to suppress it by pressure, hold tight the wound" he suggest, whew, Raven such an over reacted about wound, always his muggle mother do to his.
"Seem all owl like to peck their masters, Aguiluz do that to me all the time when he is annoyed or bored" he say
Raven lock a mental note , Sova = Owl, in Philippines language its "Kuwago"

Emmy clambered up into the Owlery tower, and stood for a moment, breathing in the musty, heady scent of the owls. Gazing around the perches, she searched for her barn owl, Dapple.

"Come on, girl, where are you? Dapple!" she called softly over the constant rustle of feathers, and impatient flap of thousands of wings as the birds shuffled to get into better position.

Mr and Mrs Hudson would be returning to London today, and seeing as though Patroclus had left them in Cairo, the young Lion had thought it would be a good idea to send them a letter.

Having attached the letter to the School Owl, Patroclus took the bird to the window and launched it into the blue sky surrounding the tower, when he heard a familiar voice over his shoulder.

"Emmy!" The boy cried, turning around and cross the room to where his huffie friend was dealing with owls, "How are you!?"

Emmy heard a footstep behind her, then a wonderfully familiar voice called her name. Spinning round, she saw her Lion bestie and squealed, "PATROCLUS!!! I'm fine thank you, how are you? How was your Christmas?"
Slight overreaction there Emmy - don't scare the poor kid!! she silently berated herself.

Patroclus could help but laugh at the reception he recieved from Emmy, "Great to see you too," and it was, Patroclus hadn't seen Emmy since last term, "My Christmas was great, thanks for asking!" the boy beamed.

"Have a nice summer?" the lion smiled, "get up to anything exciting?"

Emmy laughed, saying, "Well, I forgot to ask last year, cos I was so busy!!"
She considered everything that had happened over the summer hols...

"Actually, yeah it was a really good summer! My mum brought the house down every night in her new opera, and I landed the lead in a short new musical which was fab! And I met up with an old Muggle friend in that show too!"

"So, what have you been up to?"

Patroclus smiled, it did feel like it had been since December that they had seen each other, or at least had a good chat.

"Wow. It sounds like I should be asking for you autograph" the Lion stated wide-eyed, "But seriously that sounds incredible, I am so happy for you!" Patroclus was standing in the presence of greatness.

"I traveled to Egypt in my holidays, with Dad, then with the whole family. So I was there twice in the summer, but other than that I just had a lazy summer at home." It had been a nice holiday.

"Sending a letter?" Patroclus asked of his Badger pal, it was what one usually did in the Owlery, but he had to be sure.

Emmy blushed. "Oh come on! It only ran for two weeks - it was a youth theatre thing... But thank you!" She paused to digest this next information.

"EGYPT!!!!! Whoa!!!! What was it like? Apart from hot...!"
She looked up for Dapple, who she could make out fluttering high above.

"Yeah, I was... My owl's not playing ball though. I wanted to write to my parents, cos my dad wasn't too well over the summer unfortunately, but no-one would tell us what was wrong..."

Charisa bit back on revealing the sting of the air against the cut. Turning her finger around, she inspected it, hoping that it would be alright. She looked up at Sova, who had flown off after biting her and landed on a rafter nearby. "Bad owl! Bad!" she said, pointing accusingly at the tawny, unable to get a grip on the fact that, after all, Sova was only an owl.

Turning her attention back to Raven, Charisa nodded and pinched her bitten finger with her other hand. The pressure would help, but she could have done with a Band-Aid at the moment. "Really? They always do that?" she said, fascination mingling with annoyance in her voice. "I was hoping I had a good owl. The kind that didn't bite their masters." She let a short laugh tumble from her mouth at that. But it dripped with sarcasm.

"Simon, what a surprise to find you here!" Damian shouted over Simon's shoulder. She wanted to move closer to take a look at his owl but Reaper landed on her, overexcited to see his master.
"Reaper, STOP IT!" Damian shouted while choking on Reaper's feathers, trying to stand up and get Reaper's claws out of her hair at the same time.
Grey, black and silvered feather blasted off into the air.

Jaina sat on the steps to the owlery near the entrance door. Oona sat on her knee looking at her and hooting. She pet her feathers lining her stomach. "Hey, Oona. How's it going up here? Do you like it?" She hoped that she was having fun. She was hoping to see more of Oona, but it didn't seem like she was getting the chance to. "Oona, do you feel like stretching your wings? I have this letter here I need you to take to Joshua at his school back home in Ireland. Also, here's one for mum and dad. I know they don't care whether or not they get one, but I at least want them to know that I'm here safe and sound. Oh, and for Joshua's letter, make sure it's night time and that everyone's asleep, but him. He's always been a night owl...ha ha..that's kinda funny." She tied the letters to Oona's feet and sent her away. She sat for a moment with tears starting to well up in her eyes.
