A little field trip was in order for the kids today. Literally really, considering they were on a field. The Playing Field, that Chad had very kindly let Isabelle have the use of for this lesson. It was just the right size....
Walking down the first thing you will notice is a GIANT curtain in the middle of the pitch, surrounding what, you may well think....All in good time. A long table is off to the side, with 4 wicker baskets, each with the name of a house on the front, and a large wooden box. A padlock is keeping the box firmly shut. Placed in neat rows on the floor are cushions, grouped by colour: Yellow, Red, Green and Blue - each with a stuffed toy perched on top. To the side is the blackboard from the classroom, bearing the following message:

Kyle had been silently sitting on the blue couch practicing the Incarcolvo incantation. Ooh rabbit catching? She thought looking up eyebrow raising.
Kyle walked over to the "Incarcolvo" she called out trapping a rabbit and pulling off the key. 59. Wow, lucky catch. She thought, smirking, taking the key off the rabbit and placing the fuzzball in the empty pen.
"Good, thiny," she called. Petting its head. It tried to bit her. She glared evil. Evil rabbit. Then dropped the key in the little jar and left the pen. Someone else needed a chance.

Really? Kurumi was still having nightmares about chocolate frogs and now she was going to have to deal with rabbits? She actually wished that Walnut was around to perhaps turn a few of them into chew toys...make life easier on them all...until she realized just how horrible that notion was and covered her mouth in shock - despite not having said anything.
Spotting a rabbit hoping by...and hoping that she didn't turn it into a puddle of goo...Kurumi cast her spell and....OMG! The rabbit was fine and in a cage hoping around and looking confused with its floppy ears!
Skipping over to the cage, Kurumi pulled out the key. Lucky....100?

Isabelle was beginning to get a little irritated with Simon's non-class related questions. Taking a deep breath, she turned to face him and forced a smile on her face. "Simon, the toy whale is over there," she said, pointing to her left. "And your wand is not ill. It's not damaged either, by the looks of it, so please keep trying." Tuck it up in bed? Where did he get these ideas?
This Professor was not nice until now Simon had thought she was cool, but that had gone when he saw that she was forcing a smile on her face, that was not cool at all, Simon was thinking about saying so too the Professor but he didn't want to get into trouble, and even though she said that wands couldn't get ill didn't mean they couldn't, he would ask his head of house next time he saw her.
Simon looked at the professor and then nearly fainted. "Professor you haven't hurt the rabbits by making them wear keys have you?" He could report her to that what was it call RCPAS or something like that anyway, the poor bunny rabbits couldn't defend themselves.
Wandering over as a question was asked of her, Issy watched the girl give it another go, and she nodded her head. "Conjuring is not easy, Belle. You're not really doing anything wrong, it's just you need to spend some time perfectly your concentration, and your magic will follow." Taking out her own wand, Isabelle aimed it towards the girl's animal and said the spell, jabbing the wand forwards in one smooth motion. The net erupted and engulfed the animal, before springing up into a cage shape. "See what I did? The wand needs to jab forwards, but not in a jerky movement, nice and smooth. Have another go."
"Alright everyone, I was hoping to move on to the next part of the lesson - as Emily asked, it is with live animals, as opposed to the stuffed ones. It was also going to be in the form of a game...." Isabelle turned around to face them all, once she'd walked up to the front. "But if you wish to spend a bit longer practising, you may. Which would you all prefer?" Because, you know, real animals moved about a bit. Heh.
Belle had another go, and jabbed at object with one smooth motion and she did it! the net errupted! "Oh my god i did it!" Belle said happily and grinning. She practiced a little more to stay on the safe side.

"There are one hundred and fifty rabbits in this pen," she said, gesturing towards them. "They are small like the stuffed animals you have been practising on. The aim is to use the spell you have learnt to capture them, remove the numbered key from around their necks - you only need the numbered ones, place that key in the basket that corresponds to your house, and place the rabbit in the empty pen right here."
She eyed them up and down while she paused for breath. Were they going to understand all this? Mind you, it was fairly simple. "One hundred of the keys have numbers on, the other fifty do not. One of them will open this box..." Strolling over, she placed her hand on top of it and smiled. "The team with the winning key will get whatever is in here, plus 15 extra points for their house." Flicking her wand at the board, a grid appeared with numbers all in a row above it...
SPOILER!!: THE BOARD
"Each time you capture a rabbit with a numbered key, please come over here and strike off that number from the board, adding it next to the name of your house. To make it fair, you can have no more than twenty five keys per house, and no more than one house member in the pen at any one time - so four in all." Folding her hands in front of her, Isabelle sighed. "Are there any questions?"
OOC: Okay, here's how this will work: Not all keys have numbers, so it stands to reason that you won't get one every time you capture a rabbit. When you do get one, please place the number you have - anything between 1 & 100 - in the title of your post, and COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING LIST, STRIKING OUT THE NUMBER YOU GOT. This way we won't get duplicate numbers, and it will be easier to tell who has the winning number - which was picked the other day at random....by my dad. xD
Belle found a rabbit with her favorite number, she found the rabbit with the number 17, she used her wand movement she had been practicing and the fluid motion and she got the rabbit! She jumped up and down and got the rabbit into the pen. "Hello you little trouble maker you." she said and placed the rabbit into the pen. She took of the key and kept it in her pocket.
#11 - don't forget to use the updated list guys :D

Kurumi spotted another rabbit hopping by and immediately took out her wand. "Incarcolvo!" she chirped as her spell erupted from her wand.
Only...instead of making a proper cage, Kurumi had conjured a limp net that the rabbit caught its back legs in and fell forward onto its furry little nose.
Squeaking loudly in surprise, Kurumi rushed over to the rabbit and attempted to get it's foot untangled from the net. "I'm so sorry," she sniffled as the rabbit kicked at her hands with its little hind legs.
After a few more moments, Kurumi was able to release the rabbit from the net and it went hopping away. Kurumi looked down at the limp net, picked it up, and put it in her pocket. No need for someone else to trip on it, right?
The rabbit she had just rescued stopped a few feet in front of her and sat their looking at her. "Are you giving me permission to try again?" she asked rather amused by the animal's behavior. The rabbit sniffed the air showing little interest in her.
Taking her wand out again, Kurumi once again cast the spell and managed to conjure a proper cage this time with a key. She went over to the cage, pulled out the key and checked the number on it before putting it into her pocket.

Nika looked around the pen. Rabbits. "AWWWW! They are adorable!" Nika stopped herself from going and trying to hug one. She brought her mind back to transfiguration and took a deep breath. "Concentrate" She cast the spell and looked to see which rabbit she got. She ran up to and took off the little tag. "I got 9!"

Reason: Fixing number list
Kyle noticed no one was working. For Ravencalaw, typical. She thought jumping back into the pen, attempting to trap a rabbit - first one got away.
"Incarcolvo" she called out pointing the spell at one small white rabbit. It hit, the rabbit was trapped - score, picking it up she pulled off the key. "You are adorable" she spoke to it, petting its nose. "I Got Number" she looked at the key, "1" she smiled. Yay 1!
Selina watched carefully as the other students scrambled to catch the rabbits. Finally after many minutes of looking from rabbit to rabbit she spotted one that seemed to be hiding from the chaos. It's tail was shaking from fear and although Selina knew she shouldn't prey on the weak one it was nature's way. So Selina said, "Incarcolvo." And placed the rabbit in the pen. Before she put it down she checked the number, 69. She ran up to the board and struck out the number.
Pointing her wand at a rabbit, blank...greeat she complained. "Blank." She put the rabbit back down in the correct pen. "Good rabbit, go munch on something."

Charley practised next to Jaina for a few more minutes, then went into the pen as she'd noticed that only one girl had caught any rabbits for Ravenclaw whereas the other houses were participating more.
She saw a small rabbit who was not moving much a few metres from the gate, and chose it as her primary target.
"Incarcolvo," she said forcefully as she performed the wand movements towards the rabbit, and a cage formed around the animal. She grabbed the key and found the number 7. After moving the rabbit to the other pen she ran to the board and wrote it down.

Selina was enjoying this small exercise. The cute bunnies also helped in the enjoyment of this game. To prepare herself for another catch Selina looked for another bunny. At the edge of the playing field Selina saw a small bunny chewing on a glade of grass. It was not expecting anyone to go for it, so Selina did, "Incarcolvo!"
Once she had the bunny in her grasp she checked for the number. It read 33 so Selina went to the board and crossed out the number. From there she placed the bunny in the pen but not before kissing the top of it's head.
Kyle pointed her wand at a little one, Incarcolvo she called, out grabbing it. She found it was a lovely one with a lovely number on it.
"99" she called out putting the bunny in the previously empty pen, and the key in the bowl. Walking to the board she ticked off number 99 and marked it in the ravenclaw slot.

Live animals certainly provided a challenge to catch especially ones who liked to hope around. After several failed attempts, Simon decided to try to focus on a familiar target, pretending the rabbits were opposite team members and the net around them was like hitting them with a bludger. "Incarcolvo!" he finally cast once his focus was in place on one particular animal. As usual the net shot from his wand and solidified, but this time it had a captive.
"Yes!" he exclaimed with a content sigh before moving to retrieve his quarry. Picking up the rabbit, he slipped the key from around its neck before setting it down into the pen. "50...right smack in the middle," he mused, moving to the house boxes and dropping it into Gryffindors.

Emily aimed her wand at a random rabbit, she could she the light reflect off its tag... "Incarcolvo!" she chanted as she jabbed her wand in the direction of the rabbit.
The large mesh escaped her wand and captured the rabbit.
Hurrying over she picked it up and checked the tag, "Lucky number three" she said to herself.
She placed the rabbit in the pen and the tag in the ravenclaw box.
Spotting a fluffy white rabbit, Kurumi cast her spell and manged a half decent cage that was drooping a bit to the side, but at least there was a key in it. After taking the key and scratching the number off the board, Kurumi returned her gaze to the rabbit who...due to her poor casting...had managed to break the cage by kicking it.
Now it looked like a limp noodle in the middle of the pitch.
"Um...Professor," Kurumi said holding up her key and looking at their professor. "Does it still count if the rabbit escapes?"
Please say yes...

Selina tried really hard to locate another rabbit. But every time she went to cast her charm the rabbit seemed to run and hide in a pack of rabbits. Darn her morality.
Finally after several minutes Selina caught another one with her swift cast of "Incarcolvo!" The rabbit before being disposed into the pen was identified as number 13. Poor thirteen wasn't such good luck after all.

Moving between students and rabbits Emily searched for her next target.
She found a particularly cute fluffy one.
Aiming her wand at it, careful to make sure she wouldn't hit anyone else. "Inarcolvo", she said capturing it in seconds.
"Your just too cute", she said as she removed the tag.
83
She took the rabbit over to the pen so it could be reunited with its friends and then dropped the tag in the ravenclaw box.
Kyle looked up, "Inarcolvo" she called out, one down running over and pulling the tag. Number 8, "eight" she called out. Holding the key she placed it in the bowl, marked one the board and put the little guy in the other pen.

"Incarcolvo!" said Emily aiming at another rabbit....
the mesh flew out of her wand, but missed the target, landing on the floor- capturing... nothing. Fail!
"Concentrate", Emily said to herself. "Incarcolvo!" she said aiming at another rabbit, jabbing her wand at it more gracefully this time.
Success!
Running to pick it up Emily examined the tag, 70. She didn't like that number but over looking it she ran over and dropped the tag into the ravenclaw box before placing the rabbit in the pen- gently. Lovely rabbit.

She put the rabbit into the other pen and then looked at the tag. Number 10. She went and marked it off the board.

Drifting between students- trying not to get captured or bumped around she chased after a rabbit!... stopping she planted her feet and aimed her wand- jabbing it at the rabbit. "Incarcolvo!" said Emily.
The mesh flew out of her wand, capturing the innocent rabbit.
Running to pick it up Emily took off the tag, 27. She hurried over and placed it in the ravenclaw box/bowl thingo before placing the rabbit in the pen with the other captured ones.
Treyen hoped that Kaitlynn's rabbit was not in there with the other bunch, because, well, that wouldn't be good, right? The rabbit could get confused AND...he actually had no idea if it was a white one or not, so, yeah, never mind.
Okay. Let's see if he got it right. So, they were supposed to...sort of...capture one of the white fluffy things and each of those was a HOLDER for an AWESOME key? Got it.
The boy nodded at Magnus' instructions and was getting ready to aim at whatever white spot he saw hoping up and down when he was reminded not to close his eyes, wouldn't want a classmate stuck in a cage, right? Actually, good question, "Professor Magnus," dearly Professor Magnus, "Does the spell work on us, too?" Not that he was considering any idea of the sort, he was merely curious.
Aha! We spotted YOU, white thing! The boy kept the little rabbit on his sight and then aimed at it, "Incarcolvo!" and then the jab, and then the cage, and then...did it have a KEY? A numbered one? Aha! Number 23! Bahahahaha!

"Incarcolvo!" said Emily, capturing yet again another rabbit... aawww no tag... poor rabbit. Emily walked it over and placed it in the pen, stroking its fluffy ears.
Then headed back to find one with a tag.
"Incarcolvo", she said capturing a rabbit mid hop.
Yay! tag!.... 77!
Emily added it to the Ravenclaw stash, then took the rabbit to the pen.

"Incarcolvo!" Charley trapped another rabbit.
"Let's see what your number is," she murmured as she bent down towards the rabbit. "21 it is." She put the rabbit gently in the other pen and crossed 21 off the board, then added the tag to the Ravenclaw collection.
(going to take them off the list because it's hard for me to keep them all straight otherwise)
