Transfiguration Lesson III [On the Playing Field] A little field trip was in order for the kids today. Literally really, considering they were on a field. The Playing Field, that Chad had very kindly let Isabelle have the use of for this lesson. It was just the right size.... Walking down the first thing you will notice is a GIANT curtain in the middle of the pitch, surrounding what, you may well think....All in good time. A long table is off to the side, with 4 wicker baskets, each with the name of a house on the front, and a large wooden box. A padlock is keeping the box firmly shut. Placed in neat rows on the floor are cushions, grouped by colour: Yellow, Red, Green and Blue - each with a stuffed toy perched on top. To the side is the blackboard from the classroom, bearing the following message: Quote:
OOC: LESSON HAS STARTED. Please don't have your character arriving late, or points will be taken. Just have them act as if they were there the whole time. Thanks. |
Melenie walked quietly and sat on a blue cushion looking at the teacher, swirling her hair around a bit, "Hello Miss." she stated before leaving her hair alone and waiting for other pupils to join. |
Helena strolled to the playing field for the next Transfiguration lesson. What were they going to do there? "Hello, professor," she said, smiling, then quickly looked over at the blackboard. Groups? For what? Okaaay. She scanned the... not-exactly-classroom for the green cushions and sat down on the nearest one. |
Luin walked onto the field looking around at all of the items that had been set up. Hmm, another inter-house thing? This should be interesting. Although all of the Transfiguration classes have been pretty interesting so far. She smiled and waved at professor magnus as she walked by her, "Hello Professor." she then went and found a seat on a blue cushion. It was quite comfy too. |
Emily walked onto the field, looking forward to another transfiguration lesson. Imeediately Emily's excitement was heitened by the scene of coloured cusions, the curtain, and baskets... What did Professor Magnus have in store for them? Emily could feel her heart begin to beat rapidly as she saw the note on the black board... house colours... house teams... competition. Surely it would be a competition. Brilliant. "Hello Professor", she greeted cheerfully as she went to take a seat on a bright blue cushion. |
Chloe was rather glad a lot of her classes were out of the stuffy classrooms and out in the great outdoors. She made her way out to the grounds once more to the playing fields for transfiguration. All she knew was that they would been working with animals which sounded fun. As she got to there feild she saw 4 different colored cushions. She saw the professor and only a couple of students had arrived thus far.Though sadly no Gryffindors yet. "Good day professor", Chloe said as passed and took a seat on a red cushion as instructed. How hum. |
Harper entered the playing field and looked around suspiciously. Hmm. A curtain. Baskets for their houses. Oh great was this some kind of Easter maze? "Hello, Professor Magnus," she smiled, taking a seat on a cushion, but jumping up when she realized there was a stuffed animal on it. "Oooh!!" she grabbed at it and set it in her lap as she sat back down again. This might be fun. |
Lucy arrived at the field, she was ver excited about it. As she came littel closer she saw something written on the board, hmm, what is it she kept thinking untill, she read it. what? Sit according to houses? Wasn't quidditch enough, that they started it in classes too, professor is really out of her mind. saying that she looked around, only one gryffindor? Where are the others? Selina walked onto the playing field. She loved Transfiguration and was curious why all of the Professors as of late had been having class outside the classroom. No matter. She sat down on the red cushion and waited. |
They had another lesson outside? It wasn't that Hyun minded, he loved the fresh air. Following the group of Arriving at the playing field, Hyun immediately noticed a GIANT! curtain in the middle that made him stop jogging. What was it for? and why was it here?! He also saw a few baskets with the house names that made him wonder what the lesson would be about. He grabbed a green cushion from the pile and placed it on the ground while sitting on it and saying a "Haai, professor!" |
Well now, here was a lesson she was looking forward to. A class outside...and it wasn't nighttime! Regardless that it was a subject she somewhat didn't like, the Slytherin was going to really enjoy this fresh air. Fresh air was GOOD for people. Making her way down to the grounds, taking her time since she had left somewhat early to do just that, Evelyn took a deep breath before looking towards the are the lesson would be. Sure, she had noticed it before, but she wanted to...not look at it until the last moment. Just to enjoy the natuuuuure. "Good day Professor Magnus." she smiled before moving over to a green cushion. Meep? Stuffed animal. Moooooove! |
Iris wandered down to the Playing Field, wondering why on earth the Transfiguration lesson was being held there. Seeing the curtain, she frowned. It didn't look reassuring or promising. Cushions? They had to sit in ROWS, on CUSHIONS?! What was this, primary school? Smiling at the professor, Iris waved to her, "Hullo, Professor Magnus!" before going at sitting down on one of the cushions. Now... what could possibly be in those baskets? |
Emily walked onto the field and smiled as she saw the board. They were gonna be working in groups? Excellent! "Hello Professor!" she said happily as she sat on a red pillow. This was gonna be good! |
Simon made his way down to the playin field, an area he had to admit he hadn't spent much time with seeing as the pitch occupied his field of play. It was easy to see something was up by the extremely large curtain surrounding a mystery of unknown discription. Guess we'll learn about it all in good time, he mused to himself taking everything else in and listening to the instructions. "Good day professor," the captain greeted before following her instructions and joining Chloe, Selina and Lucy on one of the cushions in a sea of red. |
General greeting to alllll of you. <3 Isabelle grinned as the first lot of students began to arrive. At least they had read the notice boards properly, and weren't waiting outside the classroom for it to open. "Good day everyone," she greeted, just as cheerfully as they had towards her. "Please make sure you sit on the right cushions, I've provided them more for your comfort than anything." Right now anyway. One Hufflepuff. Hopefully more would arrive before she really began. "You might want to place your bags over here out the way. Unless you wish to use them for practise instead of your stuffed animals?" As long as they used something, she didn't mind. Although an animal would be more suited, considering what they'd be doing later. OOC: I'll wait a bit so a few more people can arrive. ; ) |
Harper glanced down at the stuffed animal in her lap. She was going to have to practice on it? Aww...but but but...could she keep it after? She gave it a squeeze. Well of course they would practice on them, why else would Professor Magnus care to give them to them? She levitated her bag out of the way to the sidelines while she stayed seated. May as well take advantage of precious laziness! :D |
Hugo hopped on the playing field. YAYY TRANSFIGURATION! He threw his bag on the pile and took a seat on a blue cushion. "Hello, professor," he said, cheerily. Oooh, stuffed animals. Hugo loved them. He took it on his lap and stroked it. It looked like an otter. Lovely! |

And... stuffed animals? Helena didn't even notice them. She quickly stood up and placed her bag away, where professor Magnus told them to, then walked back to her green cushion. But the curiosity was still there. |
"Heyy Professor," Ellie greeted as she arrived at the playing field. She was very uncertain about this, not having the fainest idea why they would be here. Or what was behind the curtain. Or what was up with the baskets. Or why they had stuffed animals. Or why they had cushions to sit on. But, she took a seat on a blue cushion anyway and turned the stuffed animal around in her hands. Maybe...she should put her camera down with her bag? |
*YAWNNNN* Alex was super sleepy as he entered the area where transfiguration would be held today and sincerely hoped he'd be able to keep his eyes open during the lesson. But, since it was outside, he wasn't sure he'd be able to hold out. He'd never fallen asleep in class, not once since he got here, but when he looked at the ground and saw a bunch of pillows on the ground, his eyes widened. He took a seat on a big, puffy yellow cushion, picking up the stuffed animal and looking at it in interest. They couldn't possibly be doing what he thought they might be doing...could they? "Professor, what is this...are we going to have nap time?" he asked. OH PLEASE SAY YES! That'd get rid of all his worries about falling asleep in class because...well, they'd all be sleeping in class! |
Simon nearly laughed when someone said are we going to have a nap time but he manage to stop himself and he decided to ask the Professor something. "Professor how old do you think I am? He ask as the professor said something about a stuffed animals, he hadn't had one of those since he was about 8 and he was also trying to figure out what a stuffed animal had to do with Transfiguration, then he suddenly smiled maybe the Professor was going to allow them to destroy them. |
LESSON HAS BEGUN! No posting coming in late, please! OOC: Sorry for lateness, was busy. >_< Quote:

And now onto business. "Welcome everyone to our third lesson. As you can see you all have a stuffed animal to assist you with today's spell, a conjuration one - which will be a little harder for the youngsters among you, but I'm sure you'll give it a good go." Clearing her throat, Isabelle walked over towards the board and wiped off the message she had put there at the beginning of class. It was ready for other things now. "Would anyone like to hazard a guess at to what we'll be doing?" |
Leaning back on her hands...and then her elbows since she wanted to look up at the sky, the Slytherin stayed rather silent before her attention moved to the Professor once the lesson started. Hmmm, yes. The stuffed animal. It bugged her. Narrowing her eyes at the thing, Evelyn thought for a moment before raising her hand. "Are we shooting arrows at them?" she asked, a little |
Alex sighed and looked at his stuffed animal. Darn. He really wanted to take a nap. Still, a lesson involving stuffed animals...had to be fun, right? Hmmm, what were they doing with them, though? He raised his hand and answered with the only logical conclusion he could come to. "Are we transfiguring them into REAL animals?" he asked. Cause, you know...it was Transfiguration. That was what you did. |
Kurumi was reminded of their first lesson when they were asked about what spells they would like to learn. "Professor, are we going to learn how to conjure a cage or perhaps duplicate our stuffed animal?" Both seemed like they would be very difficult forms of magic. |
