The classroom looked a mess. But that was exactly how Isabelle wanted it. Rubbish was the whole point of this lesson today, and plenty of it was spread all over the room. Several bags were placed along the floor in front of her desk, filled with bits of newspaper, card boxes, plastic bottles - everything except the yucky food stuffs you'd find in a bin. And the rest was covering the children's desks and seats. Hehe.
Fiddling with the pile of plastic carrier bags on her desk, Issy piled them as neatly as they would go. That was for later. Clearing her throat, she walked around the back of her desk and slipped into her seat. Flicking her wand to unlock the door, she folded her fingers together and waited for the kids to arrive.
OOC: I'll be starting the lesson around 6pm GMT, so for now you can just post your character entering. Please don't chat too much though, Isabelle is in the room.
"I'll just go jump in the lake if that happens," Jake shrugged, giving a little smiled and then full on GIGGLING at the way Neptune looked. He couldn't help it... it was... hilarious.
He focused though, after a bit of effort, and thought about the SPELL. The movement was a little like the swish and flick thing, and that was easy. So this would be as well, right?
"Okay. Uhm..." Jake looked around for SOMETHING... finding a bottle nearby that was a weird funny shape and had an orange label on it. Who drank orange drinks from bottles? "Co-vah-dium!" he cast at the bottle, which was down on the floor.
Nothing really changed, but the label was gone and in Jake's opinion it was... different.
"Now, you see... what I did there was change the rubbish bottle into a new bottle. It's all very scientific."
In a very non-scientific way.
...
"Your turn."
"I jumped in the lake once," Neptune recalled aloud, well before THINKING what she was saying. Her whole face flushed and she ducked down to hide MORE. Giggle.
...where was The Champion, anyway?
She watched Jake change the bottle.... to a bottle. "Oh BRAVO, Jacob." Teensy bit of affectionate sarcasm. "You can SO do better than that. I thought you'd make your trash into something for me." Giggle.
Well. She had. She had thought that. Just saying. Maybe he needed a little help.
Miss Bott decisively swished her wand to the left, spoke the magic word, "Covadium!", and changed her bottle into a flower vase. GIGGLE. She was positively DELIGHTED with it. "Now it's YOUUUURRR turn, Jake." Hint hint.
"I'm afraid not, no. Good idea though. This is more how to do something with it, rather than leaving it." Had she just given the game away? But Riley got a smile for trying. "Aha! Luin, Chloe, Hugo, Mister Bennett and Mister De Simpson you are all correct, or at least the closest to what I was looking for." Isabelle clapped her hands and flicked her wand at the blackboard. The name of the spell appeared along with the words - changes an item into whatever you want."I'd like to add, that's within reason," Issy chuckled as she turned around to face the kids again. "Yes, Covadium changes an everyday object, whatever you like...in our case rubbish," she said, gesturing to the bags by her desk. "into something else of use. Something that means we could reuse the rubbish. A version of recycling if you will."
Picking up one of the bags, she moved around the classroom placing two pieces of rubbish on each desk - a plastic bottle and a chocolate frog box. An empty one. Boo. "You all know the incantation, and in a moment I will show you the wand movement. But first I would like you to look at the items I have given you, and decide what you want it to become. Bearing in mind that it is easier to transfigure objects that are similar - so don't try and be too complicated on your first go."
Moving back to her desk, Issy picked her own bottle up and placed it back in a position they could all see. "Now watch closely... you need to do a swish to the left, then gently tap the item, while saying the spell...Co- vah- dium" Isabelle did just that, saying the spell and completing the wand movement. With a little poof her bottle became a fancy carved plastic glass, ready for her to put her firewhiskey into. Although not in class.
Beaming, she looked up at them. "First please recite the spell on it's own, then practice the wand movement without the spell, then by all means try everything together. Just be careful. And concentrate hard. I have more bottles and boxes for you to use for now as well, until we move onto the reversion spell, so just come get another to keep practising."
OOC: I'll be going to bed soon, which is why I've speeded it up a bit. xD Just make sure your charrie doesn't go overboard with anything. Isabelle is still watching!
Riley was disappointed he didn't get the question right but he still did get a smile which was pretty good in his book. His idea would make a good spell. *mental note* After listening to her talk about the spell and show them the correct movements, the Gryffindor began to look around the floor for items he could transfigure.
He allowed the sleave of his robes to cover his hand and he reached for an old tin can. There was no wrapper on it now and it could have been the container for anything really but it was going to be something new now! Riley layed it on his desk and rubbed his hands together, excitedly. Pointing at his wand, after visualizing his new item, he said the incantation, "Covadium!" and then he swayed his wand over it just as Professor Magnus had showed them. And after a second the tin can became a dining fork.
"I jumped in the lake once," Neptune recalled aloud, well before THINKING what she was saying. Her whole face flushed and she ducked down to hide MORE. Giggle.

"Me too... wait... what... why?" Jake looked at Neptune with pure surprise on his face. Neptune BOTT? Jumping into the LAKE?!
Nowaii.
Jake smiled at first when Neptune said 'bravo' and all that, but immediately realised that she didn't really MEAN it as soon as she spoke on. He went kind of quiet as he watched her cast her spell, and bit his lip.
That had been MEAN. Well... Jake only saw it like that so YEAH. He scoured the floor for a moment or two before levitating an empty candy wrapper onto the desk (he was NOT touching it. Jake Morgan had STANDARDS) aand cleared his throat.
He had an idea!
"Co-VAH-dium!" Jake cast, intense concentration on his face as he swished his wand to the left and tapped the candy wrapper with it... turning it into a fake/plastic flower. A ROSE to be exact. With a self-satisfied smile, Jake dropped it into the vase. "How's that?"

"Awesome!" Patroclus grinned, as he took up the instruments and gave them a shake, dancing in his seat as he did!
Kurumi was just about to cast Covadium on her plastic bottle to turn it into a tea pot when a rather festival sound caught her attention. Turning her head around, Kurumi saw Patroclus dancing in his seat shaking some Marakas. Giggling, Kurumi returned her attention to her bottle and came up with a very different idea - she could make her tea pot after.
"Covadium!" she commanded repeating the wand motion at her bottle. The bottle melted instantly, but thankfully didn't stay a gooey mess on her desk for long. Soon, a new shape began to form until a small pair of bongo drums sat on her desk.
SPOILER!!: Kurumi's third object
super cute bongo drums! Ta da!
Picking them up and giving them a quick tap to test their sound, Kurumi turned around fully in her seat and began trying to match the Prefect's shaking rhythm. This would be so much easier on piano...

Neptune mumbled something about the lake being a fish loo and something else about The Champion with cupcakes. The details just weren't important. Probably.
....giggle.
Weeeeeeeell well. And who said Hufflepuffy's were thick? Her Hufflepuff caught right on and performed admirably! "I'd smell it," you know, for show even though it was fake and all, "but it used to be trash." So, she'd just show her appreciation from afar. Or, giggle, maybe not sooooo far. She leaned over and rubbed at his arm, her hand still hidden in the robe, but still. It was something. "Thank you, Jacob."
Now it was Miss Bott's turn to try again. Like Jake, she summoned a bit of rubbish from the floor (double ew), a piece of old newspaper this time. She concentrated double-hard, attempting something pretty and not so plain. It WAS for Jake after all. "Covadium!"
Neptune frowned at the finished product, a newspaper turned apron. It wasn't NEARLY as pretty as she had hoped. "Suppose it's ... both our House colors." She had so been trying for pink though. Pink with polkadots. Ah well. Jake would put it on though? RIGHT?

It was so SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tempting not to say 'I'd wear it... but it used to be trash' to Neptune.
But he kept with thinking it. Because he was nice. "I will treasure it always."
Thing was, he probably would as well. After... you know... washing it.
He levitated an old hate (o.O) onto the desk. A green one. It was hideous... no wonder the old owner had discarded it. He swished and flicked swooped his wand left and tapped the hat, going a little overboard and casting Covadium non-verbally.
Kyle was listening the entire time, a swish to the left, and tap the item and it will become something else. She grabbed a large empty carboard box and thought of something that could come in handy right then and there.
Finally she came up with what she wanted to make. Swish to the left, tap "Covadium" she called out. It worked. And her edible large-thing, blanket was there. It was a large gummybear blanket-rug sculpture with all the bears stuck together with edible glue.
Photos!: thing

Simon smiled as the professor seemed pleased with his answer along with the rest of the small group who answered similarily. He looked to the board as she clapped, writing down what was given as the correct wording before looking back at Professor Magnus as she continued to speak. As she walked around depositing the two items of trash, the captain tried to invision what each could become, his attention on the box first.
"Swish to the left...tap...Covahdium," he spoke aloud abeit quietly, only getting louder at the end at the actual spell work. The sixth year repeated it a few times as he practiced first wand movement and then wording. With a final swish and a tap on the box, he concentrated on the change. "Covadium!" Simon cast, the piece of trash shifting until it took the form of a star-shaped item.
Hmm interesting...might have to see about keeping it for Kurumi, he mused to himself when he registered it was a cookie cutter.

Kyle couldn't help but smile as she saw the star cookie cutter, she'd seen them all the time as a kid being half-wizard-half muggleborn. "My mum had one of those," she pointed at the cookie cutter, flashing Simon a quick smile even though she didn't even know him.
She glared at the gummybear - thing infront of her. It was useless. She must not have been concentrating enough.
Again swish to the left, and tap "Covadium" she spoke, softly her mind clear of all other thoughts. And out of the small plastic scrap infront of her a truly magnificent thing came forth well it reshaped into it really. But it was useful for those witches and wizards obsessed with their looks.

This spell was so cool! It could totally help the environment, like the teacher had said. "Co-vah-dium" she repeated to herself "Covadium"
She next moved her wand like the teacher had shown. A swish to the left, then a tap on the item. Now to actually get one!
She looked around the floor for some rubbish she could transfigure. It wasn't hard!
She picked up an old newspaper and brought it back to her desk. "Covadium" she cried while she made the swish to the left and tapped the newspaper. It turned into a door mat!
Quite a nice mat in her opinion. And she had done it first time!
Now for something harder...
Sorry guys. Couldn't figure out the linking thing.

Rowan listened as the professor explained what the spell did and how to do it, paying close attention to her wand movement. Okay, she thought to herself. Let's do this. She bent down and picked up an aluminum can that had been particularly bothering her and placed it on the desk. She whispered the spell a couple of times to make sure that she pronounced it correctly. Then moving her wand exactly as the professor had she said "Co-vah-dium!" To her surprise the can actually turned into a wonderful teddy bear in Slytherin colors. Perfect, she thought. I know exactly who to give this to. She couldn't contain the grin that spread across her face. It was the first time she had succeeded with a transfiguration.

So, there would be no seaweed, eh?
Ah well. Destiny didn't like the beach anyway. That annoying feeling of sand under her feet and when there are those little pieces of seashells laying around and she steps on them. Or how when she went swimming in the water with Grandmum Tole and the woman holds onto her like she is some type of buoy that can hold her up.
Stupid oceans.
But, enough about that, Destiny was ready to LEARN!
Unholstering her wand, she placed on her desk as the Professor placed an empty bottle on her desk and a chocolate frog wrapper. Well PFFFT! Way to tease us, Professor Magnus.
Frowning, she moved her finger in the snazzy wand movement used for casting the spell as she pronounced the spell itself. "Co-vah-dium. Co-vah-dium."Swish to the left and tap, swish to the left and tap!
Quite satisfied at her pronunciation skills, she picked up her wand and her bottle.
SPOILER!!: Patroclus!

Patroclus' was the exact opposite, he was rather a tidy person.....when he wanted to be.
Smiling at the She-Snake regardless, Patroclus paid attention to the Professor, so they were going to Renew, Reuse and Recycle! At least the lesson wasn't about muggles, however Patroclus had swore he had heard something about the Environment in Gevrik speech.....hmmmmmm
Pushing his spidey senses to the side, the young prefect, picked up his bottle, and tapped it against Destiny's "Cheers Big Ears.....but you don't have big ears.......there just perfect....." he added, as his face reddened.
Turing his mind back to the lesson, Patroclus spoke the incantation, "Covadium!" Seemed simple enough! And so too did the wand movement, Swish left and tap!
Ready to put it all together, Patroclus swishes his wand and tapped his bottled and spoke the spell, "Covadium!" With POOF noise, the bottle was replaced with a set of colourful Marakas!
"Awesome!" Patroclus grinned, as he took up the instruments and gave them a shake, dancing in his seat as he did!
They probably should have used gloves before touching this trash. Merlin knows who it belonged to, but some of the stuff looked oddly familiar. Mostly the chocolate frog wrappers..hehe.
Grinning as she tapped her bottle against Patroclus', she felt her face heat up at his comment and she had to turn away from him. It was probably not a good idea to sit next to him. He was distracting her!
Ahem.
Clearing her throat, she concentrated on Patroclus transfiguring the bottle into a cup. A cup. A normal, CLEAN cup. "Covadium." she said, swishing her wand to the left and then giving the bottle a tap. She wasn't surprised when the plastic bottle was no more, but she was surprised at what now sat on her desk. Sure, it was a cup but..
Pushing the cup as far away from her as she could, she hoped Patroclus did not see it and she moved the chocolate frog box closer to herself. No distractions this time. She was fully focused on the EMPTY frog box.
Clearing her throat once more, she moved her wand in the snazzy swish to the left and tap movement, while concentrating on transfiguring the box into a bowl. A bowl that would hold MANY chocolate frogs inside. "Covadium!"
Super Slytherin Buddy | | ⅓ She-Snake Trio | | a normal girl with normal knees
No burning things. Well that almost completely lost her interest in the spell. Especially considering the fact that they would be using it on rubbish.
Hmph.
Staring down at the...GASP...chocolate frog box and plastic bottle on her table, Evelyn stared at the frog box for a moment longer before...looking to see if it held the chocolate frog card still. Nope, no card. Pfft, not that she was actually hoping for one.
Letting out a long breath, she flicked the chocolate frog box before staring at the plastic bottle. Who in Merlin's name would want to use something that was made from rubbish? Imagine the germs! This whole room was unsanitary at the moment. It was making the Slytherin girl cringe just thinking about it. "Covadium." she muttered, randomly swishing her wand wherever since she was too busy concentrating on all the trash and wondering if the professor would get angry if she burned all of it.
"Covadium."....Covadium...swish swish swish tap swish...Covadium...
SPOILER!!: Destiny *giggle*

Tapping her finger on her desk as she continued with the pronunciation and wand movement practice, moving her attention from the trash to trying to figure out what to turn this bottle into, the Slytherin glanced to the side to where Destiny sat. Hmmm, what was her friend doing?
...
...
Whaaa?!
Raising a brow as she saw the...unique cups...her friend had created, Evelyn barely registered what she herself was doing when she did the spell. "Covadium." Swish to the leeeeft and tap. Plastic bottle? Pfft, no way. It was a genius made...plastic...goblet like cup.
Not even looking at what she created, her full attention was on her friend and the girl's creation. Or creations...now. *giggle*
"Feeling alright, Destiny?" she whispered, a smirk appearing on her lips.
Kurumi nearly fell out of her chair when she saw the chocolate frog box. She was still trying to remove the chocolate smell from her robes from Charms. Peeking inside it and realizing that there was no chocolate frog, strangely colored or not, Kurumi breathed a rather large sigh of relief and sat up straight in her seat.
Something glittery was still in her box, so she picked it up and turned it upside down. A Chocolate Frog card fell out and she immediately turned it over to see none other than Godric Gryffindor. Kurumi didn't have any of these cards yet, seeing as she had now been permanently put off chocolate frogs, so this was a pleasant surprise. "Professor, can I keep this?" she asked timidly holding up the card she had found in her rubbish.
Now, back to the task at hand. Kurumi looked at her chocolate frog wrapper and it's flat shape. Kurumi thought hard about what she needed at the moment, and quickly came up with an idea to take advantage of the box's container aspect. What to transfigure the bottle into didn't even need serious thought seeing as Walnut had shattered her favorite tea pot beyond repair the other day. Casting Reparo had only made matters worse.
After practicing the spell a few times and making sure that she had the wand movement down, Kurumi set the empty chocolate frog box in front of her. A gently swish to the left, tap the item and, "Covadium!"
Kurumi watched as the box first turned a pink color and then the cardboard became very stiff and shinny. It glowed a bit, and then its form began to change until the chocolate frog had become this:
SPOILER!!: Kurumi first object
a soap container! Ta da!
Kurumi picked up her soap container and smiled. Now she wouldn't have to worry about her soap falling on the floor or someone stealing it whenever she took a shower. She did want some more soap...so she quickly went up to the Professor's desk and took another chocolate frog box before returning to her seat.
Concentrating even harder this time, Kurumi repeated the steps. "Covadium!" This time the box ripped into two pieces and nearly caused Kurumi to fall off the back of her chair. The pieces shrunk a little and then turned a sort of waxy texture that lasted until the transformation was complete.
SPOILER!!: Kurumi's second object
cookie soap! Ta da!
Picking up her soap, Kurumi held it up to her nose and breathed in deeply. Ah, vanilla smelled much better than chocolate.
Now, to turn her attention to her bottle...
Working her way around the room, Isabelle found herself at the desk of young Kurumi Hollingbury. One of the bright little students - and someone obviously interested in the cards from the chocolate frog boxes. Heh. "Of course you can," she smiled, placing a hand on the girls shoulder. "Who did you get?" Cos, you know, that was important. Not that she'd realised before there were any still in the boxes. She knew where the chocolate had gone though.... *whistle*
Isabelle watched as the Gryffindor went about practising the spell. She was really rather good at it. And hygienic, too. Or maybe it was a statement about the current place she found herself in. Either way, Issy smiled and gave Kurumi a nod and a "Well done" before moving off.

Well now - there appeared to be alot of flirting going on. At east that's what Isabelle saw it as. First Patroclus and Destiny with their bottles and heart shaped things, then Jake and Neptune and their...robe sharing. So far nothing she would have to warn them over, and as long as they were concentrating on practise she would let it slide. For now. But she'd be keeping an eye on them.
....An eye that was now distracted by bright, and loud, maracas. "Very nice, Patroclus. A musical person are you? Perhaps you can make something else and we can form a band later in the lesson." That would actually be kinda fun. And when Kurumi joined in by making bongo's well... "It would appear we're half way there already." Issy let out a chuckle.

He levitated an old hate (o.O) onto the desk. A green one. It was hideous... no wonder the old owner had discarded it. He swished and flicked swooped his wand left and tapped the hat, going a little overboard and casting Covadium non-verbally.
Having kept an eye on the duo from a distance, Isabelle now moved over to where Jake and Neptune were sitting. They were an interesting pair, and she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the attire Miss Bott was wearing. "Neptune, dear..." Issy started, standing by the side of the girl's desk. "You should know that all the plastics, and cans, were cleaned before I placed them in here. And the papers are ones I have collected for the sole purpose of use in this lesson. You're not going to catch anything by sitting among it." Although she seemed to be getting on with her work alright, if the apron and vase were anything to go by.
But then her attention was suddenly taken by Jake and something that sprang up right in front of her face. "Ohh my!" Flailing arms slightly, Issy stepped back so her nose wasn't completely touching it. She hadn't realised the boy had cast the spell, and was now dumbstruck to be looking at....an inflatable palm tree?
O_________o
"Still thinking about an island, were we, Jake?" she laughed, moving it to the side and looking around at him. "Maybe Kurumi and Patroclus could use it as a backdrop for the band they've got going on over there." That was a helpful suggestion, right? Their instruments did have an exotic feel to them.
Smoothing out her robes, Issy eyed the couple once more before moving over to where Destiny and Evelyn were. Heart shaped things, eh? Sticking her tongue in the side of her cheek, Isabelle smirked at the redness on the Slytherin's face, and her obvious annoyance at getting these items. "Perhaps you are distracted by something, Destiny," she offered. Giving her a wink, she moved towards the front of class.
Spying a cookie cutter, welcome mat and several other lovely things, Isabelle smiled. "You're all doing so well. Some of the things you have created are very imaginative." Yes, I'm looking at you, maracas boy. "We'll move onto the reversion spell soon, if you wish to revert anything you've changed that is. You are more than welcome to keep what you want, and try the spell on something you don't. But for now, I'll let you keep practising as you are."
OOC: We'll go onto the next one later, but for now, HAVE FUN! And form that band if you want to, Isabelle won't mind much. Just remember that classroom, and SS, rules apply at all times.

Emily looked at the two objects, she had transfigured, on her desk. A cute little black and blue note book... and a coaster... "HHhhhmmm this will not do", she said to herself. She had decided she would soon reverse the spell on the coaster... because it was lame. For the time being however she was going to continue pracicing.
Emily picked up what looked like a deflated balloon and plopped it on her desk.
Swishing her wand to the left ad jabbing the object she said, "Covadium"...
it shivered and morphed into a cute amber murano glass rimmed photoframe. It glinted in the light, casting a warm glow onto the table in front of her.
Emily decided she would keep this one.
"One more", said Emily as she picked up an old tin can.
Concentrating on her item Emily performed the spell once more. "Covadium", she said, jabbing the item with her wand.
The old tin can tranformed into a rubiks cube. "This will be fun"... said Emily as she was suddenly distracted with the cube of jumbled colours.... problem solving puzzles... her favourite!
Elle watched intently as her Professor demonstrated the spell they would be learning today. She was amazed at how perfectly she maneuvered her wrist with her wand in it.
Covadium, Covadium,, she repeated in her mind.
She practiced the hand movement several times before attempting to make her first real move on the spell.
The redhead took a deep breath and muttered, "This is it.. Let's do it!"
She eyed the frog box, imagining it as a small jewelry box after she had transformed it. "Covadium!" With the flick of her wand, the box turned into what she had imagined.
"YES! SUCCESS!" She exclaimed in joy. Yes, it was a small piece of thing but she did it, in her first try.
Now, the plastic bottle. What would she do with it? Hm... Maybe an empty bottle of wine? Nah. A water jug? Maybe.. Or a fancy glass? There were just so many options to choose from!
Finally, Elizabeth thought of one. "Covadium!"
She watched with awe as her plastic bottle transformed into a pair of shades. She squealed with delight.
Elle wore her new pair of shades and looked at her reflection in using her also new jewelry box. Beautiful!, she thought. She marveled at her own talent, but decided it was best not to show off.
She slowly and reluctantly took her sunglasses off and shut her "treasure chest".
"Professor, may I have some other garbage? I want to practice more," she smiled earnestly.

That was Salander just moving his foot.
He peered down at he trashbag that fell on the floor and spilled all its recyclables out. Ok his old room back in the States may have resembled this place a bit but this doesnt make him any more comfortable. His trash was his trash-- he could live with that. Trash of the entire school-- not really.
He looked about at Kurumi and Patroclus jammin the Jamaican and had to grin. That was a nifty idea wasnt it? He picked up a mac n' cheese box and lay it on his desk. Focusing on exactly what he wanted, he flicked his wrist and uttered "Covadium!" the box whirled in place and was transformed into a ukelele. Salander snickered and strum a few strings on the mini guitar. It works too!
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

Sierra was starting to think that she was such a slacker when it came to class. Either that, or she was always incredibly late with speaking up and starting the practicals. She'd been sitting quietly in the back of the room for quite some time, listening carefully to the discussion around her. She only really started paying attention when a plastic bottle and an empty chocolate frog box appeared on her desk.
Great. Garbage.
She made a face at it and then reached for her wand. She was supposed to just practice the incantation first, thought, right? Hmm... "Co-vah-dium," she tested, saying it just like the professor had. "Covadium!" Reaching for her wand, she swished it to the left and then tapped nothing in particular. The spell didn't seem too hard, but then again, she hadn't exactly tried everything altogether yet either.
Raising her wand again--this time toward the bottle--Sierra swished it to the left, tapped the bottle, and said, "Covadium!"
The bottle made a noise like a balloon that had been popped and then grew more and more narrow--and more and more blue in color. Wild-looking...hair?...grew out the top of it, too, which caused Sierra to sort of scoot back in her chair.
She hadn't conjured a creature, had she?!
A second later, she got her answer...
Text Cut: Monkey Pen!
...okay. It could have at least been a quill or something. *eye roll*
Jaina repeated "Covadium." until she was sure she had it perfect. Perfection was what she wanted for her favorite class. Then she practiced the wand movement silently over and over....swish to the left and tap the trash. Once that was perfected to, she began to think about what to turn the stuff into. Perhaps some nice things for her friends! And maybe even soemthing special for Ben!
She thought about Charley first looking at the chocolate frog box....something Ravenclaw.... "Covadium!" she said with a swish to the left and tap......she created a nice bracelet suitable for the witty Ravenclaw. One down, 3 more to go!
Now, something for Belle....definately Hufflepuff, but what..... "Covadium!" she said again with a swish and flick....a nice pair of earrings for her fellow Hufflepuff!
Jaina grabbed another bottle and a small box....she had 2 more people after all! Hmmmm, Alice would need something nice too..... "Covadium!" she repeated for the 3rd time with a swish to the left and tap....this time a necklace for her first Hufflepuff she met at Hogwarts!
Jaina thought hard about what to make for Ben...then she had it! Something that would be a reminder of the sleigh ride that they went on..... "Covadium!" she said with a swish to the left and a tap on the trash box. A perfect hot cocoa mug for Benjamin!
Benjamin saw the pieces of trash on his desk. "Alright. I can do this. I can do this." With a circle and tap, he said "Covadium" and the bottle was instantly transformed anto a lightning bolt athame. he quickly pulled the athame from out of his desk and slid it into hisbelt. This could be useful later. He pulled over the chocolate frog box did the same movement and said "Covadium" and it turned into a leather sheath for the athame. "Great. Just what I needed a bloody sheath. Oh well. Atleast I got something to hold this with." he slid the athame into the multi colored sheath and placed it gently into his lap.
Really, he had no idea what to transfigure into what in the first place, but he had to admit that Kurumi's idea had been a very good one...except, he wasn't joining any wand, unless someone had a microphone around. Treyen was not making a plastic bottle become a microphone either, he wouldn't want that near his mouth. But if Magnus had a microphone laying around (not between all the rubbish) then he was all good.
But he only grabbed a few old Daily Prophet editions, and placed them on whatever little space his desk had. Considering this was Transfiguration, then he'd better start of with something relatively simple, no? Perhaps a couple cushions for the band to sit, or for the audience to do so, yes?
Then he recited the incantation first, "Co-vah-dium" and it sounded just about right, he had no problems with it, his problem relied on the 'focusing' part. But he remembered what Kingsley said and simply tried to clear his mind first, while taking hold of his wand. Swish left and then tap, right? Okay, he got that.
Picturing a cushion, a comfortable one, had been an easy task, but now off to the transfiguration part. He swished his wand left and then tapped the newspapers. "Covadium!" he said, with eyes wide open, as Kingsley had suggested. And then...he was looking at a cushion! GRIN. He did it.
And it seemed to be fairly comfortable, considering it had been newspapers before.
Selina brushed a strand of her red hair behind her ear. She had been trying to keep the red mess of hair out of her face by means of a headband for the last few weeks. But her hair, like the person, was not one for cooperating. When met with a challenge the stubborn streak prevaled.
As she listened to the Professor her phoenix feather quill went to work writing out every instruction and note the Professor had thus far made. When she gave the directions and demonstration Selina was captivated. Her mother had always seemed to never have rubbish in the house, instead there always seemed to be new things. Maybe this was how that came about, it was a nifty little spell.
Selina practiced the incantation and the wand movement. Once she was ready she began to concetrate very hard. It was time to be focused. If she even lost it for a moment the spell would not work. Pointing her wand at the paper bag in front of her Selina said, "Covadium!"
The paper bag began to morph and everything seemed to become demented for a moment. Finally it took shape into a flute. Selina took a good look at the flute. Had she really transfigured it into that? She had been thinking hard about transfiguring a coffie cup. But she had to admit lately the flute had been on her mind. So many people at Hogwarts played intruments. She had played flute once upon a time, but gave it up for Quidditch. Now with all of the music talk she had wished that she had kept up her old habit. Her mind had obviously wanted her to.
SPOILER!!: flute
She then turned to her next paper bag and said, "Covadium!" Once again the bag began to morph and change. This time much faster leaving the awkward inbewteen phase of the bag to new object on a much shorter span.
When she admired her work it was an instrument case for her flute. She looked around the room hoping no one was watching her. She wanted to keep her return to music on the down-low for the moment. When she was ready to tell all of her musically inclined friends that she was picking up her flute again she would.
SPOILER!!: case
She looked at her last bag and concentrated harder than ever before. This last item would be difficult. It held information and information she did not attain. "Covadium!" Over the span of about four minutes the bag folded over itself and morphed into the new object. Once she was done she opened her eyes to see it had worked. She had made a flute book to practice from.
As soon as she had all three items she shuffed them under her desk. She was embarssed at her sudden revival in music, but Kurumi and Adam had made her remember how much she loved it.
SPOILER!!: book

Change an object into anything?
Sabel blinked at the two items that had been placed on his desk, listening with half an ear as he stared them down. Both seemed to be staring back at him, tempting him to find that recycling bin and take all the 'trash' and put the pieces within the containers.
It was with that thought that he drew out his wand, flicking it to the left in a constant repetition of the wand motion, even if it was a little absent. "Covadium...Covadium...Covadium...Covadium...Covad ium...Covadium...Covadium..."
It was on his seventh pass that his wand tapped the side of the bottle, his mind still on that big, blue recycling container. That and the incantation had the bottle bludge, wobble and grow on his desk. The transformation startled him, setting him to jump back a little in his seat and stare at the slowly changing bottle. A slight grin touched the corners of his lips as he realized what exactly was happening.
Shifting forward in his seat once again, he tapped his wand to the side of the bottle a few more times, repeating the incantation several times, watching as the bottle grew. The opening spread out, the ridges evened and the color became a deep blue with a white design.

When it was finished, he sat back with a grin, folding his arms across his chest and craning his head up a little to look at his work. It seemed fitting. Ironic, but fitting.

Isabelle watched as the Gryffindor went about practising the spell. She was really rather good at it. And hygienic, too. Or maybe it was a statement about the current place she found herself in. Either way, Issy smiled and gave Kurumi a nod and a "Well done" before moving off.
"I found it in my box, Professor," Kurumi explained turning the shiny card over in her hand with a huge smile on her face that she could keep it. She began to think that perhaps she would start collecting these cards but was quickly reminded of just how much she did not want to see one of those enchanted chocolates ever again. Perhaps this would be her first and last chocolate frog card.
"Thank you, Professor," Kurumi said bowing her head.

Kurumi giggled at the Professor's suggestion. It reminded her of Adam and his great plan to form a band here at Hogwarts only....only time was running out. A frown quickly spread across Kurumi's face realizing that she only had a few months left before he left and, perhaps, never returned.

But, it did not seem like she could keep that frown for too long as more music filled the air. Kurumi turned her head to the left to see Salander playing on a ukelele - which she now knew what that was thanks to a certain Ravenclaw boy. "Fanastic," Kurumi smiled nodding at Salander. "I didn't know you knew how to play an instrument!"

"Well in that case, it would only have been thrown away or transfigured, so by all means, do keep it." Isabelle smiled broadly at Kurumi as she watched the girl turn the card over in her hand. "And you're welcome."
They now had, what? Bongos, maracas, a flute and a ukulele. Isabelle could feel a musical moment coming on....Maybe at the end of the lesson, when they'd done everything she had planned. No reason they couldn't have a little fun. Heh.
But one thing did catch her attention, and Issy felt the need to address it....

"Benjamin," she said, walking over to stand at the side of his desk. "This isn't potions class, you don't need that for this lesson," Issy gestured to the athame in his belt. "So please remove that knife from your person and store it safely away in your bag. And please, try and stick to transfiguring non-dangerous objects for the rest of the lesson." Her voice was calm, but clear. She was glad he'd managed to turn the item into something more useful, but it certainly wasn't something she wanted him to be wearing outside of the potions classroom. Giving him a nod, she moved back to the front.
Clapping her hands together to get their attention, Issy cleared her throat ready to speak. "I like the fact some of you have come up with instruments. Perhaps you can give us a rendition of something at the end of class?" She smiled, a glint in her eye as she scanned the kids that she was talking to. "But right now it's time to move on to the reversion spell. It's good to know this one in case you use Covadium on something you may want back at the end of the day - not this rubbish, obviously," Issy laughed, raising her eyebrows at the piles.
Moving the glass she had transfigured to a place on her desk where they could all see it, Isabelle got her wand ready. "Okay, to revert your object back to it's original form, the incantation is 'Balterius', and the wand movement is simply two gentle taps on the item - like so..." Tapping the glass twice, and saying the spell, Issy stepped back to reveal that it was now back to being a plastic bottle. "Go ahead and practise this now, using anything you don't wish to keep. You can also do the spells alternately, if you wish."
OOC: I'm off to bed soon, so just keep practising both spells. I'll move on tomorrow. Remember Isabelle is watching at all times, so please keep within all rules!
