Raven back at practicing the incantation again, he withdraw his wand back to holster before. "Com-LET-e-AH, Comletia" Raven say weakly.

now for the wand movement again, he practice his arm moving imagining there is a wand in his arm, he make a small cross shape, followed by a small circle shape, and lastly a jab, Cross, circle, jab. the incantation "comleta, err, comletea, err comletia" Raven said aloud. Try again, Raven imagining his wand in his hand, he move it, making a cross, circle in succession then a snap jab with incantation "COMLETIA" he say.

now Raven drew his wand, he must practice it in real wand, Raven feels his wand, he momentary imagining a compass, he know it very much, having one of his own, given by Mom, he look directly into the wrist watch, with the intention of making it a compass, Raven move his hand pointing his wand into the watch, he make a cross, a circle, then jab "Comletia" he said loudly, nothing happen, the watch is still a watch, "Gah, nothing happen even a bit" he exclaim

Emily picked up her wand and began practising the wand movement. It seemed simple enough, a cross top to bottom, left to right, into a circle then a jab. Emily practised a few more times just in case.
Emily looked down at the ornate silver pocket watch that sat on her desk, it was very pretty... reminded her of the one her grandfather owned.
After a moment of just staring at the watch, she focused her attention back to performing the spell.
"Comletia" she said as she performed the wand movement.

The pocket watch didn't change, rather it just vibrated a little on the desk.
"Hhhhmmm... try again." Emily muttered to herself.
After clearing her throat... "Comletia", she repeated, performing the wand movement once more.
This time the pocket watch changed shape slightly, and the clocks face disappeared, now there was a compass, it was currently pointing in the North-West direction. Emily smiled, she had been successful.

She returned the compass to its original form and kept practising.

Selina looked balnkly at the watch sitting before her on the desk. Transiguration was interesting and all, but she was unsure if it really worked. She grew up around her parents who were not big fans of Transfiguration. They would rather just go and get the supply instead of turning one thing into another. But Selina would be opened minded.

Taking out her wand she made a small cross shape - top to bottom, left to right. Then she carried it through to a small circle shape and finished with gentle jab at the watch. "Comletia!" Selina exclaimed and was shocked when the watch transformed into a compass. She could not believe her eyes... this was amazing!

Calmletea? Sounded French. Calm le tea.

Wait no. Comletia.

Ohhh okay. Got it. Well, not the hardest spell in the world right? There was much more tongue twisting spells in the world then...Comletia.

Writing the spell down in her notebook as well as what it did, her little anger flare about using magic to help muggles seemed to subside for the moment as she muttered the incantation under breath, drawing random objects and pictures on the side lines of her notebook page; of course, almost completely oblivious to the pocket watch that sat on her desk. That is, before the Professor started to speak up again.

Could they have made that wand movement any harder?

Just...really...

Blinking in utter amazement, she tilted her head to the side as she watched the example, before looking back down to her notebook- MEEP! Watch on her desk! It reminded her greatly of the class she had with Professor Kingsley. Turning...something...into something, but that wasn't the point. The point was, there was a watch involved.

Taking out her wand, she mimicked the professor's example, trying the wand movement first with the cross, and then the circle, and then the jab...and that was totally pathetic...

Eh.

Sighing, the Slytherin sat up straight before trying again, trying to get it look at least like she knew what she was doing without looking like an idiot either who, had no idea...what she was doing. Which she was! Of course.

But that wasn't the real big reason that she was practicing the wand movement over and over again. The spell required concentration on what you wanted the object to turn into. Sure, she could turn an object into a watch, because she knew exactly what a watch looked like. On the other hand, even from where she sat and seeing the example the professor did, she still had no clue what the heck a compass looked like.

It was round, yes, but...what did it look like!? Darn all those times she never saw one.

Perhaps the Professor hadn't heard her initial question, but she also didn't seem in the mood to be answering too many questions at the moment.

Frowning a bit, Kurumi returned her gaze to her pocket watch and then looked back up at Professor Magnus as they demonstrated the wand movement. Well, that wasn't too complicated now, was it. Kurumi blinked several times trying to take in everything. So, first you make a small cross right to left, top to bottm...wait, that didn't seem right. Was it left to right, top to bottom? Kurumi held her hand in her right hand as she just stared at her wand for several moments. No, the movement had been top to bottom first and then left to right. Kurumi did that first with her index finger before thinking about the next step. Tracing invisible lines in the air, Kurumi made a small circle with her finger and then poked the center.

Okay, I think I've got this.

Picking up her wand this time, Kurumi repeated the same movements with her wand hand before saying the spell with, perhaps a little too much enthusiasm. There was a loud POP and smoke emerged from her pocket watch. When the smoke had cleared, Kurumi looked down to see that half of it had melted and was now dripping off the able.

"Oops..." Kurumi whispered as she pulled out her handkerchief from her pocket. She held it against the edge of her desk so as not to let the liquid metal drip on to the floor.

Saying the incantation a few times to get used to it, K-Lee picked up her wand. Quickly trying the spell, K-Lee frowned when her watch still was the same. Transfiguration really wasn't her best subject.

"Comletia." K-Lee tried again, a slight change of the watch happening, all the clock hands pointing to where K-Lee assumed as north.

K-Lee tried another several times, minimal changes happening. She had to concentrate.

Taking a deep breath, she put all her focus on transfiguring the watch into a compass completely. "Comletia." She said calmly, doing the wand movement.

K-Lee nervously looked at it, gasping as she saw it had completely changed, the black watch now a black compass. Smiling, K-Lee looked over the finished product some more.

Alice sighed and took her wand out of her pocket. She stared at the watch for a good 2 minutes then did a "swish and flick" motion with her wand and said the word Comletia in a mild tone while pointing at the watch. Nothing happened. Alice frowned at the disappointment, "If Father or Mother was here they would be disappointed...very.." she thought to herself in her head. She shook her head to clear the thoughts and tried once again, doing the same motion and repeating the word.

Soon enough the watch had turned into a compass and with a smile on Alice's face she turned to face Jaina who was practicing the Comletia spell. "Slytherin...I don't want to bother with them too much. Making friends is fine...but starting a fight wouldn't be too amusing" she smiled sheepishly then looked around the room. A majority of the class were Slytherins, maybe Alice should be quiet and go back to the Comletia spell. She gave Jaina a quick smile and turned around to face the watch which was now a compass.

Alice stared at the compass once again then closed her eyes. "What can I change it to this time?" she thought to herself as she pictured different appearances a compass could change into and wasn't too much for her to handle.

Awesome... The compass. He took his watch and made the cross-sign a few times. Top to bottom, left to right... Tap the object... he thought to himself over and over. When he heard popping noises from other students, he decided to put himself to the test. He wished after a few times it would be more authentic looking. He did the cross sign, and tapped the object. "Comletia," he spoke very clearly to the object. Immeadiatly it popped into a compass, but the needle started growing up, to the sky. The glass broke, and the needle started growing bigger and bigger. Hugo looked in amazement while the compass needle grew almost to his neck. When he looked around and started to think this was getting weird he incantated: "Immobulus!" and the needle stopped growing. Phew. What did he do wrong? Didn't he concentrate hard enough? Did he tap it too hard? He walked over to the professor's desk.

"Umm, professor?" he asked the teacher, holding his compass with a three feet tall needle sticking out. "If you don't mind, can you teach me how to turn it back to a watch? I would like to learn it." he said. "If it isn't too complicated." That wasn't bad, right? A Ravenclaw just wanted to learn stuff, not have it done for them.

Kurumi looked down the table where she saw Hugo with, wow, a very large needle sticking up. Well, at least he would be able to see what direction it was pointing in, right? "Pssst, Hugo," Kurumi said calling down the table. "Try casting Reverto."

Which is something she needed to do with her half melted pocket watch.

Eino examined his watch very closely and decided it should be a watch, and not a compass, because he would rather arrive somewhere early than to reach his destination late. After all, a compass didn't do more than point into four directions, or eight, while a watch could tell many more times than a compass could tell directions. A watch could tell twenty four hours, one thousand four hundred and forty minutes, eighty six thousand and four hundred seconds per day. That is a total of eighty seven thousand eight hundred and sixty four times, which was eighty seven thousand eight hundred and fifty six more things than the compass could. Plus, it had a scratch on its back that resembled a bear with wings and Eino thought that to be very neat. He thought that it would be a waste to silence an object that could speak so much. "Mr. Watch, you strike ten and twenty two minutes presently, with some few seconds I cannot keep count of before it moves to the next. If only you should wait for me to count for it is awfully rude that you speak continuously and give me no other else a turn." Very rude indeed. For it spoke for the same amount of times it told (which was eighty seven thousand eight hundred and sixty four times) and would never be quiet, or stopped. Eino crossed his arms and contemplated silencing the rude watch, but only if the scratch on its back on also show on the compass.

Hugo turned around from the professor to Kurumi. "Thanks, Kurumi," he said appreciatively and turned around once more, looking for the professor's approval, but he really didn't need it. He would do it anyway. "Reverto," he said and the 'compass' turned back into a pocketwatch. "I don't think I need your help anymore, professor," Hugo said politely and returned to his seat.

There, he tried the spell again. He concentrated better this time. Up, down, left, right, tap, "Comletia!" and the watch popped into a decent compass. "Oh awesome," he let out a bit louder than expected. Now for the fun part... Making it look cool. "Reverto."


Hugo spotted someone having trouble in the corner of his eye. "Hi there," he said to the first year. "I believe we met in Ottery St Catchpole over the summer?" he said. The boy probably didn't remember him. "I'm Hugo. Try making the wand movements a little more subtle, and speaking more clearly," he said, and he took his own pocket watch. "Like this." He made the sign and tapped the watch lightly. "Comletia." He spoke very clearly, and it turned into a compass, a little bit prettier than his last try. "Reverto." he said and the compass turned back to a watch. "See? Just concentrate more and don't tap the watch too hard, but not too light." he told the boy. He hoped it did help him.

Helena took out her wand and pointed it to the watch. No, I'll try the wand movement first, she thought, remembering it was a little complicated. "Small cross shape, top to bottom, left to right, circle and a gentle jab," she muttered, moving her wand the way professor Magnus did.

Okay, incantation now, she thought, pointing her wand again to the watch. Cross shape, top to bottom, left to right, circle, a gentle jab... "Comletia!"

Nothing happened.

She sighed, then tried again. Still nothing.

Come on, I can do this. Helena repeated the wand movement, then murmured "Comletia!" Hey, it worked! Her watch turned into a bronze compass.

Raven turned his face to the boy, he seem familiar, yeah, I remember, you're the guy in the river with Kurumi back then. "Hello Hugo, I'm Raven, you're a Ravvie, nice to meet you" Raven back the greetings.

Raven do the advice, he think on watch to be a compass, moving wand, tracing a cross, top-bottom, left-right, and a quick jab "Comletia" Raven said loudly, there is pop, and smoke, and the writhast watch became a compass. hehe. he did it, "thanks for the help Hugo" Raven say, let him teach you the reverto spell "err, could you teach me the reverto too, please" Raven add.

no contest, Hugo is Ravenclaws and a indeed friend of cookie sister Kurumi. Raven glanced at Kurumi's location, grinning.

YAY! She'd had a good idea. Inside Sakura was dancing, outside she was looking at the edge of the desk and noticing that she hadn't filled in the card that she was meant to. While the professor spoke she scribbled the information needed, onto the card.

Sakura Takenouchi, Slytherin Seventh Year.

Right, now what was the professah talking about? Oh incantation. Finally the fun part of the lesson had started. Sakura loved practical work. She didn't much like Transfiguration but that was besides the point really. She just had to be good enough to get by and pass her NEWTs after which she'd never attend a lecture on the subject ever again. Right now though she needed to practice her pronunciation of the spell.

"Comletia," Sakura murmured. She repeated the word over and over again until she was satisfied that she had gotten the pronunciation correct. That was the hardest part of spells for her that were in latin or anything resembling English. With her accent she found it hard to get all the syllables sounding how they should. Now she just needed to add wand movements to it. Joy.

Looking back up at the professor as the wand movement was shown Sakura copied it as she saw it. She needed to make a cross and then a circle before jabbing gently. She also needed to get a feel for the watch she was casting on. She practiced the wand movement with her wand hand while getting the feel of the watch with her left. She was pretty confident with putting the spell together now but she hesitated just a few moments to make sure. Ugh.

"Comletia," Sakura said while performing the wand movement, gratified when after her careful moments of contemplation and practice, the spell worked perfectly. The watch was only a basic compass at the moment but that was good for her first try.

Reverting the object back into a pocket watch Sakura performed the spell again, this time the compass was more intricate looking, something that Sakura would actually consider using. This wasn't too bad actually.

Isabelle had been stood by her desk, observing the children as they practised, when she heard a voice directed at her. "Hmm? Oh no, thank you Michael, that won't be necessary. I'll be fine." With the fresh air now coming in anyway.

Frowning, Isabelle looked over towards one of the Slytherin girls that was in class. She seemed not to be doing anything past the wand movement stage. Clearing her throat, she walked over to the girls desk and smiled at her. "Something wrong, Evelyn? Anything I can help with?" She was there to help.

Well now, that didn't look good did it? Biting her lip to avoid a giggle - the girl was young after all, couldn't expect her to get it right first time - Isabelle moved across to Kurumi's desk. "Problems?" she smiled. "Don't worry about it, we all get things wrong occasionally. Nobody is perfect, especially at spells they haven't tried before. You know Reverto?" Or, you know, Issy could do it for her.


Another one in need of a little help. And it seemed that Kurumi did know the correct spell, and was more than happy to provide it to her fellow student. How nice. "Yes, Reverto is what will change it back for you, Kurumi is right. Just tap the...giant needle compass...as you say the incantation. That should work." Hopefully. "If you need anymore help guys, I'm just over here," Issy pointed towards the desk of the boy she was going to speak with next.

Hmmm. Isabelle turned and stared at the boy for a minute or two. He was just sat there, looking at the watch, and crossing his arms. Not even a hint of trying to perform the spell, or practise the wand movement or incantation. "Excuse me," she eventually said, taking a step nearer to him. "Would you mind telling me why you are not participating in the class like everyone else?"

Having used the incantation to successfully change her watch into a compass, Rowan listened carefully to the other students questions. She was not certain how to change her compass back into a watch. Then the Professor said that Reverto would work. So Rowan tapped her compass with her wand as she said forcefully, "Reverto!" The watch was once more a watch. She couldn't believe that she had done it on her first try! She sat back, awaiting further instructions, and tried to contain her grin. No one liked gloating, especially Rowan.

Jake was pretty proud that they were supplied with watches... mainly because he was currently wearing the one he'd been given by his... sister(? was she his sister? she was part of his old family after all...) for his seventeenth birthday, and it was SUPER nifty.

Yeah, no. Not turning that into a compass.

However, the pocket watch was awesome, because he could swing it 'round on it's chain and have it land into his pocket. Whiiiiiiiich the boy did straight away. It was fun.

Oh wait... "Com-LET-e-ah. Comletia..."

Yeah. Nailed it.

That wand movement was no swish and flick, that was for sure. Jake was sure he'd be able to work it out... but it was SOOOOO HOT IN HEEEEEEEEERE.

Taking a deep break, Jake held up his wand to cast the spell... and dropped his hand again.

Far too hot.

Swallowing a lump in his throat, Jake ran the back of his forearm across his forehead and picked up his stuff, before heading over to a desk right beside the window which he pushed WIIIIIIIIIIDE open.

That was... moderately better.

Now, Jake KNEW he was able to do this spell. It was, to be frank, quite simple. Well... it was simple for him now he could do magic.

"Comletia," Jake said to his pocketwatch after setting it out on the table. He had the wand movement correct and the word was all good, but he had doubts about his weak voice when he actually cast the spell. He wasn't really concentrating, just trying to cool down.

Well... the watch did transform on the first cast, though Jake couldn't see that it had straight away. It was only on further inspection did he realise that he now had a compass on a watch chain.

"Cool," he said faintly, smiling and leaning back in his chair.

Whether or not it worked was a whole 'nother matter entirely.

As Sierra continued to study the pocket watch she'd been given, she began to pick up on the fact that a whispered version of her name was slowly reaching her ears. She paused then took a hesitant glance around. Finally, her eyes settled on a Puffer Boy seated not too far away.

Oh, look! It was that same kid she'd seen in Lafay's office. The one whose father had sent a bouquet of roses.

He was trying to do something nice for her, it seemed, which only confused her even further. From her experience, when people did nice things for you, they usually wanted you to do something for them in return. Apparently, he wanted to trade watches, but was it because he didn't like his watch, or he'd seen her make a face at the one she'd ended up with?

Her eyes flickered down to the Puffer's watch, and she automatically picked up on the fact that it was pink. Eww. Pink?! Sierra was no huge fan of the color, but she guessed she'd look a lot better with a pink watch than some boy would.

Oh, sighhh. Here she was--helping out yet another Puffer Child. Shrugging, she held out her watch for him to take, and then she accepted the pink watch he'd offered her. New watch in hand, she immediately returned her attention to the professor, realizing only seconds later she should have at least given the boy a polite smile or something.

So she smiled.

...and then returned her attention to the professor.

What was this woman's name again?! Magnet?

...and were they supposed to be actually going through with the whole transformation, or were they just supposed to be practicing the wand movement for now?! Why was it Sierra that was always confused?! First year was hard!!!

Deciding that she should at least practice the wand movement first anyway, Sierra retrieved her wand, and then began crossing, encircling, and jabbing it. First, she made the same top to bottom, left to right cross shape the professor had done. Then, she followed that up with a small circle shape and a jab. That didn't seem too difficult to master.

She just needed to try it with the incantation, too. She took a hesitant glance around to see what the others were doing.

"You're welcome," Hugo nodded. "Sure," he said to Raven. "This one's actually a bit easier. Just make this movement-" Hugo demonstrated a fairly easy movement with his wand- just a swish and flick with a twist. "And incantate Reverto. You should get it in your first try."

So they were not doing Incarcifors today? Shaaaame. Cedric shook his head, somewhat disappointed to say the least... but then he perked up upon finding out they were going to change watches into compasses. That was his second choice. Really good thing what they were to do was as quite interesting as transfiguring things into cages. At one point, however, he'd more relish tackling advanced topics in Transfiguration. It was one of his favorite and best subjects. Thus, it was top of his priorities, as far as school was concerned, yes. But well, the professor seemed a very serious one. Like really apt and all.

After Professor Magoose finished her prosy speech, Cedric didn't have any moment to lose so he took out his wand from his pocket and recalled what was needed to be done. Comletia. Cross shape, circle, jab. Concentration required. Alright, let's get this done with!

Cedric was about to do the incantation, the wand movement and all that but then a thought presented itself before him. Could this spell be done non-verbally? Well, he thought that would be far more challenging, especially for learned seventh years like him. Cedric withdrew his pocketwatch, then placed it on his desk almost at once. He started the wand movement, his mind concentrating diligently hard not necessarily because he wanted his watch to turn into an intricately detailed compass but was rather because he was doing the spell non-verbally! How was his attempt? No success. Erm. Perhaps more concentration was needed. Or was the spell wasn't just possibly meant to be performed non-verbally? That was when he felt the urge to ask but then he thought he must change his watch into a compass first. And so he did. He did the wand movement, concentrated hard, and muttered the incantation 'Comletia' which he lacked of on his first attempt. His ordinary-looking pocketwatch converted into a compass that one could describe as a very exquisite thing. Indeed, it looked exquisite for it gleamed dazzlingly bright. The compass bore the sole likable quality of his pocketwatch: its golden color and the badger sign. Awed, he was temporarily transfixed. Excellent job Cedric Leone.

After a moment or two, his awe subsiding, he turned to Professor Magoose so as to ask her the question he longed to ask. Of course he still wanted to know. He still wanted to try. "Professor, can the spell be done non-verbally?"

And one last thing... One. Last. Thing.

Was it Magoose? You know, her surname.

Jaina overheard the older students discuss how to put their watches back. "Reverto!" she said and turned her watch back. She thought even harder and said "Comletia!" and her compass, even more extravagant than before, came back.

She glanced at Alice, "No, not starting a war with them. I don't want that. He's hiding something. I smell trouble." She was naive, yes, but she knew when something was a miss. She thought she could help him, possibly.

So we're doing a compass?

Would now be too late to tell the Professor that Muggles have something thats called a GPS navigational system that tells them where to turn left or right? Heck some of them could barely follow a simple dictation, how much more something thats small, spins around in a circle and doesnt talk to them?

He fished a random pocket watch out of the box, observed the Professor say the incantation and the wand movement. He stifled a sigh-- he's forgotten how much more complicated Transfiguration spells can be. "Comletia" he mumbled a few times and completely messing up with the wand movement. He scowled. Here I go again.... He struggled back and forth a few times, managing to get the wand movement down but completely messing up with the spell. He resisted the urge to slam his fist on the table. Just keep at it....

After a few more attempts he finally manages to get them right "Comletia!" he commanded with a cross-circular-dot and the pocketwatch spun on its edge and landed with a clickity clack, now looking like a regular compass.

Hmm, now how would he know if this thing works?

Emily practiced the wand movment with her head propped on her hand.
Cross, into a circle, into a jab. Yeah, quite a wierd movment.
Once she did this she sat up stright. 'Concentration and intent' she had plenty of that. Now on to the watch!
Cross, circle, jab, "Comletia"... Nothing.
Again, cross, circle, jab, "Comletia"... still nothing.
Right, she was annoyed now. She had intent, but not enough concentration.
She stared at the watch for a few moments then used the wand to cross, circle and jab. "Comletia!" This time the blue watch turned into a blue compass. Well done her!

"Right...Just try not to get into a mess Jaina..It won't end very well" she frowned at the idea of Jaina being bullied by the Slytherins then turned back to face the compass. "I'll try and change it back then" she thought. "Reverto" the compass had reverted back to a watch. Alice picked the watch up and examined it a little, it wasn't one of those expensive watches but it did look nice.

She set the watch back on the desk and faced the front, hoping the Professor will start something new.

Jaina gave her an innocent smile. "ME?! Nah, no trouble. Be mindful. That's what the Jedi would say!" She giggled. "Reverto!" she said again. She closed her eyes and pictured the compass she'd seen in the pirate movies. "Comletia!" she said as she poitned to the watch. Now she had a replica of the compass Jack Sparrow had. "Not bad! I'm loving this transfiguration class. Now if I could learn to control the aquamenti I'd be all right then." She winked at Alice. She had missed her overflowing the cauldron in potions.
