A pair of deep brown eyes searched the third floor corridor. They rested on third year Adam Burn, and Septimus walked up to his supposedly older brother. "You said you wanted to talk to me?"

"Yes I did. I'm not saying we are brothers- I am still not sure on the fact,but I am telling you this."Adam started off, showing the paper into Septimus' hands.

Sep stared at the letter in his hands, unable to believe what he had just read. At last he managed to say in a slightly shaky voice "Mexico City? What...why...why wouldn't they want you at Hogwarts? I mean, this place is great."

"Did you just see Mexico City and block out everything else?!"Adam snapped at Septimus. Not many people realized his dad had been promoted there so the family HAD to move to Mexico, it wasn't a choice, though his dad might've mentioned that he wanted to work for the company as far as possible from London.
"My dad got promoted there!First of all they call me freak and are afraid I will threaten them with my magic.They think by stripping away everything I love, things will be normal again.It is great, who would leave this place?!"

Sep read the letter again quickly, oblivious to the slight coldness in Adam's voice. "Wow...so your own parents think you're a freak? Don't I know how that feels." The last sentence was spoken at a volume barely audible. "I...I guess it's not really anyone's fault. I mean, things like this happen. But still..."

"Yep. They actually kept this hidden from me...They never told me my first year, so I came in as a second year.
What was that you said?"Adam asked leaning in a bit. "Still what? And now that I am leaving I think it best to drop the whole 'brother'thing, I don't want you to get your hopes up high, find out we are brothers, and then I leave to another country."Adam said rather sternly.

Sep didn't bother hiding the disappointment from his face. "Oh..." he said. "Well, just because we're not brothers doesn't mean we can't still be friends. We can keep in touch through owl, if you'd like that?"

"I'll try."He simply answered.
"Sorry Septimus...I just think you got too caught up with the whole idea of having a brother...I don't think we had thought it through , really. Maybe it's just best that we leave it as friends."Adam suggested.

All the talks he had been revealing to all his best friends, and his half broken leg, was making him more moody, but in the sense that he wasn't mad just wanted to be isolated and have his own feelings for once.Life was upside down and he too, himself was not who he thought he was.

"So, I expect you'll want some time to yourself then?" he asked. "But...what happened to your leg? I heard it was broken or something."

"Your concern was legitimate," Jared agreed. "But it was a question that could have waited, until the end of the feast. Even if Mr. Gevrik's intentions had not been the best -" He stressed the 'even if,' making it clear that he was not suggesting such a thing. Yet. "Being surrounded by staff and Ta - the Headmaster, he could hardly have... done something by then. But more importantly than that, I think if you had asked Mr. Gevrik if you could put forward a question before doing so, everything would have gone much more smoothly."

Pause.

"So next time, how about this? In a situation like the one at the feast, ask before you ask. If someone says no, and you still think the question is important, then go ahead. Explain your intentions, and why you feel the need to ask. But in nine situations out of ten, people that are attempting to gain trust won't say no to such a request as that. That way, you can state your concern and rest assured that you did the polite thing." Not having asked at the feast had just ended in Jake being told to leave. So much for a question that highlighted the possibility of danger. "In the end, it all does come down to what you believe in. To ask or not to ask a question becomes clearer, as your own beliefs do."

"That's a good belief. Just make sure you set a high standard for yourself before you start holding on to it."

"I guess not," Jake replied, frowning as he thought. People were right... he didn't think things through. Or maybe he did, but not in the way people expected. But yeah... he hadn't for a moment considered that Gevirk wouldn't do anything. Had Remi not marched into the school and done as much with the whole of the staff and most of the students against him.

Hm. "So... ask if I can ask a question first?" he responded. Well... that could just waste time.

Meh.

"I guess I could try that."

Jake remained quiet at the last point. A high standard for himself? Well... "I can try that too."

Di smiled at the compliment. Although it wasn't the first time she'd receive a compliment like that, smiling always helped.

"I'm in my third year." she answered.
"And you?" Di asked.

"I am in my second year but turned 13 a few days ago",Fee said.Most second years were twelve and the blonde had no idew why. Maybe her birthday was just a weird date."Did you attend any classes already?",she asked. Strangly there were a lot of students thatd didnt yet.

Ethan was well and truly beginning to notice flaws in his collection of possessions. This was the second time this week that he'd managed to get lost in his quest for the library. Going to the outer side of the corridor, he all but pushed his nose against the window in an attempt to work out which floor he was on.

Ah. Third.

Well, that was something at least. Putting both hands into his pockets, Ethan bit his bottom lip and scoured the corridor with his eyes. He wasn't going to admit to himself that he was lost. No. That would be the last thing he'd do. Nor was he about to ask for directions. Yes, these people around him looked polite enough, but he was quite sure he didn't need to burden them with his fruitless inquiries. Therefore, he settled himself down in one of the chairs next to the many glass cabinets that littered the corridor, and waited for...

For what? A flash of insight to hit the right place.

Harley took slow steps, walking behind a boy. She had to admit that she'd been following the boy for quite a while now. He seemed to be exploring too, that or he knew were he was going. It wasn't like stalkerish or anything, she was merely trying to find her way around, right ? She seemed to have been doing okay. That was until he stopped and pressed his face against the window.

She blinked.

Then stopped her self and looked him up and down before blinking again. "Um is everything okay ?" she questioned, still watching as he went and sat on a chair. She walked over to were he sat and stood next to him, rocking back and forth on her feet. She bit her lip before opening her mouth and saying "Hey, Im Harley. Harley Summers. Forth year Slytherin." she smiled. "Um, sorry, you um dont mind me standing here right ?" Maybe he liked superhero's tooooo. That'd be cooool.

"Oh I see!" Di said. "Belated Happy Birthday." she added. She hoped she wasn't to late. Even if they have just met, Di feels like this girl was a nice person. Anyways it was quite a long time since she had made any new friends.

Nodding she said, "Yeah. Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, Ancient Runes, Divination... Um, I think that's all." she said.

"I do want to attend more but for now I'm taking it one at the time." she said with a small smile. She didn't want to lose her head in all the stress each class gives. "How about you?" she asked.

Upon hearing a voice next to him, Ethan snapped open his recently shut eyes, and turned his head briskly to the side. For someone who did most of his movements in a slow, calculated manner, this was an incredibly sharp manoeuvre which quite possibly could of caused him the delicate tendons in his neck. Clapping eyes on the source of the noise, Ethan carefully registered what the girl was saying, and, within three seconds of her ending her question/sentence, he had formulated an answer.

"Oh, everything's fine, thank you very much." He replied with a smile, standing up as he did so. When Harley asked if he didn't mind her standing there, something shot through Ethan. "Ethan Norton, Sixth year Slytherin. And yes, as a matter of fact, I do mind you standing there..." Pausing just to see if the girl panicked or not, a mischievous smile already forming on his wide mouth, "... Wont you sit down?"

He wasn't exactly going to be sitting down, resting his long legs whilst a young lady was forced to stand next to him. It was barbaric. And very... Not him. And why would he ever want to do something that "wasn't him"? Allowing himself a quick scan over the fourteen year old opposite him, Ethan calculated what she was probably going to answer with, what she liked, her mannerisms and her favourite colour. Y'know. Simple stuff really.

Jared could guess part of what Jake might be thinking. It occurred to him, not for the first time, that the Hufflepuff did have a point there. But there were differences between Remi and Gevrik's identities and arrivals, and those could not be left out of the equation.

"Why not?"

Up to Jake to try or not, of course. In the end, there wasn't any foolproof way of staying out of trouble and, in Jared's opinion, shouldn't be. Trouble is necessary, in more than one way.

"You should try that." Holding himself to a high standard.

Jared straightened up. "I guess I should get going, now." Before someone spotted him. Someone being one of those ladies. "If you're still restless..." Don't forget the punching bag idea? "Punching bag." He smiled slightly. "Have a good day, Jake."

"I will," Jake responded, as a kind of all over response. He looked at Descoteaux for a moment longer before the young man took his leave, hoping the professor would read through that booklet properly at one point.

Before he turned out of the corridor, Jake looked over his shoulder. "You have a good day, too."

And then he was gone.

It was just a regular day and Amy was roaming around with nothing to do at the moment so she sat down against the wall to take a break from walking because her feet kind of hurt. She looked around at all the people and just sat watching them all.

Beck needed to make some new friends. His old friends weren't coming back to Hogwarts and he knew it. Beck sighed and saw a girl. She looked like a couple of years younger than himself well he had never seen her before and she was pretty cute. Now the flirt side of Beck was coming through his body. Oh no. "Hello." Beck said in his French accent. He smiled.

Amy looked up when she had heard some one talking. She had realized a pretty cute guy was talking to her. She started to panic and blush. But then she thought to her self stay calm Amy don't make a fool of your self and then she had forced out a "hi" and a goofy smile.

Katelynn skipped through the corridor, not noticing much around her. Nothing to doooo she thought to herself, while starting to walk instead of skipping, because... well, it was a bit more.. normal?
The last days at Hogwarts had been.... well, eventful - but that was exactly how she liked it! Maybe she'd meet someone new again today?
She walked around, deep in her own thoughts..

" Skipping in the school corridor?" Rex asked the girl. " Looks like fun" Rex told her. " my name is Rex Trigwell" he intrdoced himself to her. " Are you having fun?" Rex asekd her.

A boy much older then Katelynn was talking to her. *gulp* He must be a seventh year! she thought. That was.. well, much older than any of her friends. Okay now Katelynn, stay cool.
She smiled and the boy and said "Well yeah, and it's a lot quicker than walking!"
Rex? "Hi Rex, I'm Katelynn!" Ugh. age. "Uhm.." she began. "Do you mind me asking which year you're in?" She was just about to ad "because no one that old has ever talked to me before!" but decided to.. well, not.
