"It is... I completely agree with you," Jade said to Cody with a smile. "Why doesn't it surprise you?" she asked him quite confused.

Marie hugged Finn back then put her head on his shoulder. "Thanks, but you don't have to be sorry, it's not your fault." He wasn't he one that had a girlfriend yet was in love with another girl. He wasn't the one that treated his girlfriend like she was no more than just a good time. No, he was just the best friend of said ex-boyfriend.

She dried the tears from her face as she felt the crying stop. She wasn't going to cry anymore.

Nope.

Not gonna do it.

Finlay shrugged, rubbing her back gently. Marie was his friend, and he didn't care if it wasn't his fault he was going to comfort her. "It doesn't matter." He mainly said that because he didn't know what she say. He wasn't that good at comforting people really. He smiled as he watched her dry her tears. That was better, made him feel a bit more comfortable. Finn did much prefer his friends with smiles on their faces rather than crying.

"Why did you break up with him??" He was a little wary of asking that, but he wanted to know. And he hoped it would make her feel a little better if she told someone. Like got it off her chest right?

Marie took her head off Finn's shoulder and rested it against the wall. "Because I know I'm not the one he really wants to be with. He'll never care about me the way he cares about... her." She couldn't even bring herself to say Neptune's name right now. "I feel like the only thing I've been to him all these months is an excuse for him not to admit what he was really feeling in his heart." It was true. The way she seen it now was that as long as Jim had her as a girlfriend he didn't have to admit to himself that he loved Neptune... which is why she knew she had to break up with him... so he could figure out what it was his heart was really feeling even if it meant her heart got broke in the process.

Oh. He really hadn't expected her to just like say it all like that. But at least she had, and he could kind of a know what she was feeling. "Yeah...." He couldn't argue with that really. Neptune and Jimmy were kind of close, even if Neptune did have a boyfriend. "im still sorry though Marie....Jim shouldn't have done that to you." Or at least let it go on this long. He smiled at Marie, at least knowing that now she'd be able to go find the right guy for her. "I'm sure you'll find the one whos perfect for you Marie...." Someone who wouldn't break her heart like Jimmy probably had. It was how he and Jimmy were though, so part of him didn't really want to blame his friend too much. Even if it was kind of Jimmy's fault

Once the words had left her mouth Marie felt like maybe she shouldn't have said them. Finn was Jim's best friend, it probably wasn't such a good idea to tell him everything. Then again, she had a feeling he was going to get a totally different story from Jim so she might as well tell her side of it too. "No, he shouldn't have, but I can't even be mad at him for it. I'm just as much at fault as he is. I let it go on even after I realized there was something with him and Neptune." After that incident in runes class she should have ended things then but she just let it keep going... mostly because she wanted to believe Jim when he told her there was nothing between him and Neptune anymore. She could overlook most of the flirting he did but knowing he loved someone else, that she couldn't overlook any longer. "I'm beginning to think that perfect guy isn't out there for me." It was just something she was going to have to deal with. She wasn't meant to have a boyfriend that really cared about her.

Hmmm. Finlay was too sure what he could say to that actually. Because really he didn't care if it was her or Jimmy's fault really. "You were his girlfriend Marie....you shouldn't have had to think about splitting up with him." Finlay suggested, sticking his legs out infront of him. He did kind of hope that nobody would come along the corridor because they would probably fall over his legs. But oh well. He was a prefect he was allowed to do thee things.
"Oh Marie...." Finlay shook his head. He definetly disagreed with her. "He is out there Marie....you just haven't found him yet." Probably because she was distracted by silly boys. He couldn't fault his friend for choosing Marie though, she was gorgeous...shame that Neptune had gotten there first.

Marie took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I may have been his girlfriend but really, it was no more than just a label." As much as it hurt her to say that, that is how she truly felt now. She was no more his girlfriend in the true sense of the meaning than she was Finn's girlfriend. She was a girl who was his friend. Only difference was with Jimmy was there was a LOT of snogging going on.

She was glad to hear someone was confident she was going to find the right guy, even if she didn't think that way. "Well I'll probably never find him because I don't plan on going out to look for him." He could be sitting right next to her and she wouldn't know it.

Finn had a feeling that it was probably hurting her to say all this to him. Especially when he was Jimmy's best friend. So he did have some appreciation for it, seeing as he knew she could've gone to any of her female friends and told them all this. "At least you're out of it now then...." And Jimmy couldn't cause her any more pain, which was probably a very good thing. Finn smiled at her. It would be good to see Marie maybe be a bit happier now, when she didn't have to worry about Jimmy and Neptune.

She didn't plan on looking for him? That was pretty sad really, had Jimmy really hurt her that much. "Maybe he'll have to come looking for you then..."

"Yeah. Now I don't have to worry about falling for him anymore than I already did." At least she hadn't let herself get to the point of falling in love with him. That would have really made what she did even harder. No, it was best that she ended it now before she got to the point that she didn't want to end it.

She looked over at Finn and gave him a half smile. "Well I guess if he's out there and wants to be with me bad enough he'll come find me then." Then again, Jim was the one that came and found her too and well, we see how that turned out.

Enough about that though. "I'm sorry you didn't get to go back and see him. He really is gonna be fine though." Nothing appeared to be broken and his memory seemed to be all there. Just a few bumps and bruises... and maybe a mild concussion. Although she was no healer, that was just what she gathered from that short visit she had. I did tell him you were out in the waiting room waiting to hear how he was doing though." Yeah, she told him about all his friends that had stopped by worried about him... including Lexi.

Finlay didn't really know what to say to that, so he just remained quiet. He didn't really care if Marie had fallen anyway, because like she wasn't with Jimmy anymore so it didn't really matter anymore. As long as Marie didn't decide that she wanted to be with Jimmy again. Finn didn't think that would be too clever.

"I think he will Marie....you're gorgeous, what guy wouldn't want to be with you." True words, and he meant all of them. He only hadn't said them before because of her being his best friends girlfriend. But now she was single, and he was not going to stop himself from flirting with her now. Not anymore.

"It's okay, Jim's strong I know he'll be fine." And Finn would just go see him tomorrow. Jim and Finn had such a good friendship that he knew Jim wouldn't mind that he hadn't coming running straight away. They had such a slick bromance that they could probably go ages without seeing each other and still be great friends. They were just awesome like that. "Oh...thanks Marie." Finn really did appreciate it, at least Jimmy would know that he had bothered to see how his friend was. "I'm glad he's okay..."

Really... Finn thought she was gorgeous? Hearing that did bring a smile to her face. A real smile this time. "Thanks Finn. I'm sure I could come up with a whole list of guys who would argue with you about that though." Starting with all the guys she had punched in the nose minus Matty who had not so long ago taken it upon himself to kiss her.

"Yeah, I'm sure he be up and about in no time, back to his old self again." She gave Finn a little hug. "Thanks for listening and for not judging me. You're a great friend." Yep, it was true, Finn may be Jim's best friend but he was her friend too. "Wanna go with me to find Mia? I'm sure she'll want to know that Jim is gonna be alright."

"Well....." Finlay smiled, turning a little so that he could look back at her. "I would argue right back at them." Because she was gorgeous and he wouldn't let anyone tell him any different. Finlay could also be quite persuasive, and was pretty sure he could get some guys to agree with him.....or he'd just punch them. He was also pretty good with his fists. Jimmy would agree with that, Finlay knew it. He had given him a pretty good split lip during the summer.

"Mmm....won't take Jimmy long." Finlay knew it, because he knew Jimmy very well. It wouldn't take Jimmy long at all to get back to his old self, and Finn was really looking forward to having his best friend back. "I'd never judge you Marie...." He'd never judge any of his friends. He might have been a jerk, but he was nice to his friends. Ooooh. Go find Mia? "Sure....might make you feel a bit better." Finlay smiled, pushing himself up, and offering his hand to help her up.

Taking Finn's hand Marie stood up. "So where you think we might find her?" Hopefully she wasn't in her common room.

Finlay smiled, looking down at her. Yup. This was nice, but maybe they shouldn't keep holding hands, seeing as though she had just broken up with his best friend. This probably wouldn't put across the best message. "Er....I hope not in her common room." Because that really would be so annoying. "Maybe she's at the grounds..." Really he had no idea at all....

Letting go of Finn's hand once she was standing Marie brushed her hands along the back of her pants making sure there was nothing on them since she had been sitting on the floor. "Well let's just go outside and start looking for her. I think I could use some fresh air anyway." Wherever they went she just needed to get away from the hospital wing and the third floor.

Enya shrugged from her position, what should they talk about? She really wasn't sure but she knew that Skye always came up with the topics so it was her turn, gah she hated having to think up something. It caused work, she hated work. "I dunno, you got friends?" She asked not looking at the girl.

Of course she had friends, who didn't. Her? well she knew that but that really didn't bother her anymore not like it used to. It was just something that was part of her life, people just didn't think they could stand up and be better then her. She was after all the best.

Elle smiled as Tay did her usual thing: pushing back her curls. "I'm great, if you exclude all those hectic schedules I had this First Year and countless days I had to miss eating. School is almost done and it's nearing to an end. I'll surely miss studying and sinking my head into books all year," she shrugged. "And you? How is it between you and your fiance, if I you don't mind telling me?"

Cody looked at Jade. "I'm not really sure", he answered trying to change the topic.

Cody was looking at Jade. He looked like he wanted to change the topic. "Don't worry Cody.... just tell me what you think," she replied nervously.
