I kid you not, this is one tree you don’t want to mess with. It's best you keep a safe distance from the Whomping Willow’s tree limbs or you may end up with a few broken limbs yourself.
Trixie watched as a few younger students walked across the grounds, at least they had many years ahead of them and they wouldn't be leaving for good. She envyed them. They could enjoy these last few weeks whereas Trixie would find it incredibly hard to, for her mind was literally focused on counting down the days until she'd leave. She might have cried the more she thought about it if it wasn't for the sudden appearance of someone who never failed to make her happy.
The Blonde looked to her left as Freddie arrived, a smile arriving on her face as he sat down and mirrored her stance. The Slytherins head layed down on her boyfriends shoulder, her arms gripping hold of his gently. "Like you then.." her eyes wandering up to his before realising what she had just said and cringing. "I mean.. Yeah. Gorgeous" she looked back at the ground. "Course I am. I've spent so much time here and.. Well basically all my memories were formed here, I just dont think I'm ready to go yet" she sighed once more, her eyes drfiting back up to his.
Freddie felt his lips twitch into a small shy smile when he saw the gorgeous smile on Trixie's face. His arm snaked around her automatically when she leaned into him, her head on his shoulder, his hand nonchalantly moving to stroke her hair. The smile on his face grew when she spoke and his eyes met hers. She looked embarrassed. He remained silent, but his eyes were soft, not a hint of amusement in them. He found that extremely touching.. even if it wasn't true.
Her memories? Freddie's eyes widened a little, the impact of her words hitting him hard. The thought had never even occurred to him. Hogwarts was all Trixie KNEW! Merlin.. “I'd never even thought of it that way..” He replied softly as he thoughtfully gazed over the lake. “..We're just going to have to create a load of new memories for you, aren't we?” He looked back at Trixie, to find their eyes had locked once again.
Kita opened her mouth. Then closed it. She opened it again. Only to close it again. Yes, the chatterbox had nothing to say.
And then she opened her mouth again. "Oh Caroline!" she said, giving her best friend a hug, "I'm sure she's not trying to replace your father." She let go and looked at Caroline seriously. "No one will be able to, don't worry. Everything will be ok," she added, giving the blonde a small smile.
Kita sighed and looked away. "I know! This year's gone by really, really, quickly," she said, turning back to Caroline, "Of course i'll come! My last summer was so boring because i didn't go anywhere! I'm not letting that happen this year." Nope, never again. She started laughing. "Thanks!" she said. And then a mad urge came over her. Reaching to the top of her head, she removed the sunglasses. "You can have it if you want," she said, holding out the sunglasses to Caroline, "I have way too many!"
Had Caroline just left Kita speechless? She giggled. Kita reminded her of a fish opening and closing her mouth. She hugged her back. "Yeah, maybe but you don't know my mother." She said. Don't cry. Don't Cry"I didn't even know that she was dating anyone."
Okay great. She kept herself together so far. If her mother was gong to get reamarried, then Caroline was having her friends over, whenever and however long she wanted. Her mother never let any of her kids friends stay over the summer. "Yay! My mum never let of our friends stay over during the summer."
"Where has this year gone?" She shook her head. It had been the best year so far here. Suddenly Caroline was at eye level with the same sunglasses that she said that she liked. "Oh, no I couldn't take them." She didn't mean that she wanted them but okay. She couldn't help but it take it. She smiled. "Okay fine but..." She pulled a bracelet off her wrist. "You can have this. It's yellow for my favorite Hufflepuff. I have too many of them."She grinned at her. "Thanks it's just that mum and I haven't gotten along too well since dad died 5 years ago."

Cass smiled as she sat down next to him and glanced at the cover of her book. Which was coincidentally also by a muggle author. Normally, she wouldn't be reading anything by a muggle, but after the recent visit of muggles into the castle...she became curious about them.
"Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens." She answered with a smile as she showed him the cover of the book. Oh, Shakespeare! She's read a few of those, from Lyra's library of course, "I love Shakespeare." One of the few muggle authors that she really did like "Which book are you reading?" She asked with a smile
"Classic! I love him, Charles Dickens. A genius if I ever knew one." Christopher grinned as she showed him her book. "Oh, this is actually a large collection of his works. It's got A Winter's Tale, A Midsummer Night's Dream, you name it." He smiled at the Slytherin girl. "Do you normally read Muggle books?" It was quite odd to see many Muggle books around here.
Dianna was bored. Having your homework done in advance was a bad idea even if she had the whole day to herself. She never knew being free from the stress given by school could be so.. well, boring. She stood on a sturdy flat surfaced rock rock and watched as the willow swayed back and fort probably thinking whether or not to smack one of the students playing nearby.
Two authors in the same family. Undoubtedly why Treyen likes books.
Wow...Gilderoy sounded pretty amazing. "Was he like an adventure seeker of some sort, then? Like, did he purposefully go after Dark Creatures?" That was wicked, brilliant, and...dim at the same time. Like walking into the Forbidden Forest WITHOUT an adult. Or ghost.
....Honestly, Ellie was really going to try and not pry. "Why's that?" If only her will power was stronger. Heh.
Oh, man. He shouldn't have asked about Screech.
It's not that he didn't enjoy talking about Gilderoy, but it was a very easy thing to do when the other person knew what he was actually talking about, or WHO he was talking about.
What worried him the most was that Treyen still thought the man had been an awesome writer and he dealt with fame pretty well...and, of course, who could forget the fact that he'd been a brilliant Obliviator? Yes, but that worried him because between all the Lockharts he was the one that related to the man to some extent, and the only one that still felt greatly about him. It was quite possible that Ellie wouldn't feel that way if he told her the truth about Gilderoy.
Or...wait...he could.
The parts that mattered, anyway.
He smiled, weakly, "I didn't personally know him as the man he portrayed in his books, he had an accident and lost his memory, so, I only knew him as Gilderoy, the man that had written all of those adventures," he wasn't lying, he was actually telling the truth, and this was a very difficult thing for him to be talking about it so freely, "I like to think he was, though. An adventure seeker. I'm not sure if he did everything that he'd written....," now, that was stretching the truth a little, "...but at least I know that he was interested in all of it." That COULD be true, otherwise Gilderoy wouldn't have written the stories.
There was a wide smile on his face, but he failed to answer. Instead, he looked at her, rather fondly, and said, "Can't we just keep it as 'it changed as I got older'?" wasn't that enough for Ellie?

Ellie stayed quiet. Mhm. Cuz she was actually pretty interested in this Gilderoy Lockhart. So, during Treyen's story-thing, she contented herself with ripping the grass out of the ground.
The more he talked, the more she felt like she should have known this already. But it was just a feeling.
"That's pretty cool." Ellie would classify that as an adventure seeker. Definitely.
She looked back up at him. Now. And although she was confused by his smile combined with lack of answering, it was contageous. The smile. And she was smiling, as well. "I guess..." If he wanted to be a spoilsport. But, she couldn't actually FORCE it out of him. So, she didn't have that much of a choice did she?
POUT.

Since his eyes were on Ellie, then it was rather obvious he'll be noticing what she was doing to the grass over there. If this had been the Pitch and he'd been Vindictus, then Ellie would be banned from the Pitch forever.
The worst part is that he knew he'd done what Ellie was doing, he just...hadn't ripped anything from the grounds in quite some time, that's why he didn't know where the next bit came from, "Come on, you're hurting it." he said, as one of his hands was now on top of one of Ellie's, as if that would stop her from HURTING both the grass and the ground. Well, he hoped that would stop her.
He smiled again. "I guess it is." Gilderoy Lockhart was the epitome of cool. To him, at least. But he couldn't fully explain, not when all the evidence he'd gather that will make Gilderoy look at the very least NICE were all at home.
Her answer didn't match that smile she'd given him, but when she pouted Treyen already knew she'd rather know all about it, right? No, he wasn't telling, "That's good. For now at least." Perhaps, one day, she'd know the reason?
"Maybe I can owl you one of the books, though, I think it would be best if I were to tell you about each of them." Sure, Treyen adored books, and he didn't mind reading them, but Ellie was completely different.

I normally read books by other wizards, but the other day I just had the urge to read something by or about muggles that isn't tainted by wizard opinions...so I had my mother owl me some of her old books."
Then she turned to him and asked "How about you? You seem to like muggle books a lot. Why?"

She wouldn't go past the first page.
Giggle.
She eyed his hand. "Treyenn, the grass doesn't have any pain receptors." And, therefore, she couldn't possibly be hurting it. But she was forced to stop by his hand. So stop she did.
"It really is." Reassurance. It wasn't a guess.
More pouting. Ellie wanted to knowww. She liked knowing things. Things she was interested in and cared about, at least.
Heh...Owling her the books would probably just drain the energy out of Gilderoy. "Mmm. Definitely be best."

The smile on his face faded a bit as he faked being slightly serious about the whole grass, ground, pain receptors and whatnot thing. "How do you know that? And, actually, I could be referring to the ground instead." An eyebrow was raised as he finished talking and his hand was also raised from hers. Against his will, of course.
Sure, of course, it was, that's why Treyen had agreed in the first place, sort of. Either way, he nodded, the boy wasn't saying anything else on the matter because it got her curious enough.
Haha. The pouting. He could laugh so hard right now, but he'd told her he wouldn't laugh at her, so, he was fighting the laughter with all his strength while placing all the pictures in his bag. That was a hint, right?
They've been in here for over an hour or...probably two? He didn't know for sure, and it wasn't getting dark YET...so...they could walk around?
Aha. He knew it. It was the best. Good. Another nod and then he started to get up. "I think...I better head back." And was he planning on leaving her here alone? Nope. He stretched his hand to her and smiled, "Shall we?" No, he wouldn't leave her here. What if Saylen got to her? Or that man-eating plant? Yeah, he wouldn't forgive himself for that.

Mmm... He got her.
Defeated. "I just do." Worst answer in the world. That was almost as bad as when her mom answered 'Because I said so' for the countless things she'd rejected when Ellie asked for them. Though, she understood why a crup would be a bad idea now. She didn't like it, but she understood it.
Pictures were being put away. Good. Treyen wouldn't want them to get damaged by...the sun. Or Willow. Or things.
Leaving. That made sense. So did the putting away of pictures, now. Ellie put her camera in her bag, hopefully she wouldn't need it while walking to the castle.
Then, she also stood, and took Treyen's hand. "These pictures will be awesome, I bet." That was why they came, right? So that was a 'thank you' without saying those words exactly.

Riiiiight.
And that was the GREATEST answer of all times. You know what? It was, because he didn't feel like arguing with her about it, Treyen only shook his head while smiling. Amazing, simply amazing, her reasoning was.
If she didn't ask so many questions, then he'd totally answer with one 'I just do' and be done with it.
Then again, he may have gotten used to that. Ellie questioning him.
Well, her camera was placed inside her bag as well, and just thought how weird that action had been. So, she didn't need to carry it around her neck anymore? That was some improvement. And he completely approved of that, though, he didn't mention it.
It was getting much too easier, to take her hand without blushing, since because he didn't do it anymore. Aha! The Lockhart boy was growing up. Still, once she was up, he let go of her hand, walking while still doing so will feel weird, trust him.
"Oh, I know so." Of course, he was referring to the ones he took of her. He didn't care about Hogwarts sight now. Nor the Willow. Sorry, Mr. Whomping Willow.
And then he started to walk towards the Castle. The longest way to it, of course.
Sophie has always been a procrastinator. Wiht homework, work, etc. she has always waited til the last minute to do something.
And today was no different. She had a huge potion exam to write and she just couldn't concentrate with the annoying first years playing stupid games.
She left the common room and headed out to the grounds. She honestly couldn't think of any place that would be quiet enough to get her work done. It was going to be a long day...

Blink.
He'd accepted that. So...did that mean that she was NOT defeated? Or...was she?
Mmmm, she'll say she won. Yup. Regardless of the shaking of the head bit. She'll just ignore that.
After standing, Ellie brushed her back off from dirt. It was one thing to sit and be dirty, but another thing completely to walk around dirty. The house elves probably wouldn't appreciate it.
BEAM.
But..uhm...where was he going? Ellie didn't question it, though, just followed. Whatever.
Bye Willowwwww.

Standing as still as ever Dianna closed her eyes only to find herself being knocked over by one of those firsties playing by the tree. Getting back on her feet she gave them a I-don't-really-care-that-you-tripped-me-because-it-doesn't-hurt look and went a little further from the tree. She noticed a girl about her age who seemed a little distressed and decided to talk to her.
"Hey, you need any help?" she asked as she eyed the girl's parchments.
Cass laughed "Yes, I could tell he's a really great author." Then she smiled as he answered her question "Oh wow, I haven't read that one - A Winter's Tale, I mean." "Oh, it's a great one. I strongly suggest you try it! I believe that's where Hermione Granger got her name, after Queen Hermione that is, but I might just be crazy," Christopher laughed. He truly was the nerdiest kid alive. "I've never really read any wizarding books, so you'll have to help me find a good author!"
He cocked his head to the side, confused. "Wizards don't like Mugles? You make it seem like they think that they're awful..." Christopher had known a lot of people didn't like people who were not pureblood, but that didn't mean they couldn't live with Muggles in peace and harmony. It wasn't right....
"Oh, I'm Muggleborn, you see. So I've always grown up on Shakespeare and Charlies Dickens, and classical authors like them. My dad always used to read them to me when I was little, so I guess that's really why. I think they're quite beautiful." He shrugged, it wasn't much of an explanation, but it was the truth.

The smile on Freddies face made Trixie grin even more. It was as if the thoughts that had been bothering her just moments before had suddenly disappeared and she was left just swooning over the guy that she happily *called her boyfriend. *Even the small things he did, like him stroking her hair made the blonde squiggle inside. *Her eyes glanced softly up at his, glad to see that her pathetic compliment hadn't made him laugh. She meant it though. "It hadn't really dawned on me either," she bit her lip, her eyes drained of the glint they had before, her expression clearly sombre. His words made her heart pump slightly faster, however. There hadn't been a moment yet where Freds had failed to make her feel even the slightest bit better about herself, it was just a talent he had. "I'd happily make new memories with you" her hand stretched out to take his, wrapping her fingers around his and squeezing it gently as she spoke. "What are we going to do Freddie?" she asked softly, moving her glance from his hand up to his face, referring to their future she knew they were going to have together.

Belle saw someone procrastinating on her homework like she was. She loved being outdoors than being in the library. She loved feeling the wind whistle in her ears and gently carressing her hair.
Belle saw a girl relaxing in the sunshine and went over to join her, "Hey I'm Belle whats your name?" she asked curiously. "I never seen you around." she smiled and sat down with her.
She was waiting for her friend from slytherin to come down and join her in the fabulous weather. How could no one be out today? she wondered. Belle took out her sketchbook and started doodling the whomping willow to show her mother when she gets back home.

The view from her dorm room was awesome definitely was a sunny, windy day; in other words PERFECT for Georgiana. She quickly walked in the dungeons, to the Great Hall and finally the front gate to see the beautiful view of the lake.
She stepped outside and searched for Belle, where was she?. Georgiana looked around and aha! there she was sitting near the Whomping Willow, don't get too close or you'll have a broken arm she thought. The wavy haired girl had always wanted to get close to the tree, that was why she always remembered herself to not get too close.
She smiled and said "HEY BELLE!" waving to her Hufflepuff friend, hopefully she had heard or Georgiana would have looked like a lunatic.

Belle jumped. She heard someone call her name. She turned left and right and then right again and noticed georgiana jumping up and down, "GEORGIANA!" she yelled happily. She put her art supplies down and went to hug her , "How have u been doing? I haven't seen you around school at all!"

GREAT! she heard. It was a bit awkward everybody looked at her when she yelled but who cares there was Belle.
She hugged back and said " I'm good, i know i have been busy you know all these finals and homeworks really tired but I'm here" YAY! she sat down where Belle had left her art supplies and said "Oh drawing again?" she grabbed the drawing it was the Whomping Willow! "Wow I have to tell you that it looks like a photo, you're really good at this" she returned the drawing and lay down on the grass looking at the sky.
"So how you've been? I have missed you!" that was the bad part of being in separate houses she could not see Belle in the Slytherin common room because the reason was obvious but at least they could see each other during free times like now.
"Oh, it's a great one.
Cass laughed "Alright, then maybe we could hang out at the library sometime, I can show you some really good books by wizard authors and you can show me muggle books." She offered with a hopeful smile.
Then her smile sort of vanished when he brought up the topic of muggleborns versus wizards.
"Oh, you've got it all wrong. I'm sorry...I didn't mean it that way." She hurried on apologetically "What I meant is that...witches and wizards, most especially purebred ones like me, we don't understand muggles the way muggle borns or halfbloods do." She explained softly. "We...our opinions are limited to what we know...and most authors who have the gall to write muggles haven't even interacted with most of them...that's what I meant..I really didn't mean it in an insulting manner."
GREAT!
They hugged tightly and let go in about 5 minutes. She let out a couple of breaths and then replied to her question. "I am fine! I have been busy with homework as well, i actually went to the lake when i was all stressed out because of finals." she drew the whomping willow a little and used her pastels. "Whyy thank you! I never really notice i am a good drawer, i wish they had an art class here, i mean everyone needs to express themselves besides magic and broomstick skills." she said earnesty to Gerogianna. "It is such great weather, can you believe the term is ending?" she asked in awe.

Kita was confused. Why was Caroline giggling? And then the answer hit her. She closed her mouth and blushed. Maybe this was the year of embarrassment. "Oh dear! She can't be that bad," she said. Unless... can she? "She should have told you. I mean, you told her about dating Carter." She did right?
Her mum what? "She doesn't?" she asked, "Well, this summer is going to be an interesting summer..." She just hoped that she wouldn't be getting Caroline into trouble. But then again, her mum was getting married and only told her now that she had been dating someone.
"I know!" she said, "It's gone by way too quickly." It felt like yesterday that she had started the year groaning about work overload. And now there are finals. Great(!)
"Oh no, but you have to," Kita said, smiling at Caroline, "It's kind of a way of saying thank you for the year." Oh dear! Cheesy much? "Plus, they have a hint of green on them," she said. If they were the right pair, then yeah they were. And then she watched as Caroline took off a bracelet and held it out to her. "Oh my days!" she said, looking down at the bracelet and then up at Caroline, "Thank you!" She gave her best friend another hug.
"Oh no!" she said, gasping. If that had happened between her and her mum... She didn't want to think about it. "I'm really sorry to hear about your father," she whispered.
They hugged tightly and let go in about 5 minutes. She let out a couple of breaths and then replied to her question. "I am fine! Oh come on! she should have notice that she is a great drawer, like umm what was his name?... Picasso! yeah the only muggle painter she knew but it was a great one and so was Belle. "You are really good at drawing, if here we had some art class you'll be teaching not learning!" she said laughing and it was true I mean she hasn't met any other person that drew like her.
"Can you draw me something?" she asked and said "Like umm a field of tulips in the night!" said excited, Tulips were her favorite flower and she liked the night with all the stars and the big moon. "I know I love this type of weather it makes me feel so good, with the wind blowing everytime" very relaxing it was.
It seemed like yesterday they met and now the term was ending but after all it has been a great year, she was happy to have come to Hogwarts everything was just like her siblings told her. "It is sad! I'm gonna miss everything and we can't do magic at home" she said sad and angry, Georgiana would have love to do magic at home but she has to wait like 6 years! to do it definitely her brothers would make her do anything at home just to tease her. "I'm gonna be the only one in my family that can't do magic yet!"
