I kid you not, this is one tree you don’t want to mess with. It's best you keep a safe distance from the Whomping Willow’s tree limbs or you may end up with a few broken limbs yourself.

She remembered reading a bit about that, but she hadn’t really paid attention.
Just then, she saw Brittney heading their way and waved. When she got closer she said “That’s ok, you haven’t missed anything.” She gestured to the Gryffindor girl, “I know you have met Kurumi, but, this is Eino.”
Hearing Michael’s suggestion, she shook her head. ”I don’t know if that will work, but it can’t hurt to try.” Hearing his suggestion that she lead the conversation, she gave him a look asking if he was sure. She hoped that she hadn’t overstepped her bounds. “Um. Ok.” She said tentatively. Then when he dropped the sack of money the girl shook her head. “I don’t think we will need that.” Emmaleigh just could not believe the boy. He was so ready to just throw money away.
When Britney asked her question, sighed. “Well, its mostly about Albert.” she then turned to the other two. “Albert is the code name we use for that Ministry man.” She paused a moment and looked at them. ”I know Kurumi has, but have any of the rest of you noticed anything about all of our lessons this term?” the girl asked.

"I suppose there is a chance it could work in Hogsmeade," Kurumi said shrugging her shoulders. "I don't see how that would help though. Isn't the spying you want to do here at Hogwarts? If a recorder doesn't work at Hogwarts, it is not magically going to have a conversation recorded and ready to play at Hogsmeade." Or maybe Kurumi was missing something?
Albert? Mr. Ikenna certainly did not look like an Albert. She supposed that he looked more like a Kevin.
She glanced at Michael. "Off? I don't think our professors are off," she said a bit offended. Dragon Lady was always off, but that wasn't any news to her. "I'd say they are more trying to get us to think critically about what is going on around us. I mean, did you see those posters and graffiti in Diagon Alley over the summer? Not to mention the Quibbler! There are some serious changes trying to happen in the wizarding world. I think our professors are just trying to help us figure out what side we are on. You know, what really is best for us and wizardingkind." Surely their discussion in Defense Against the Dark Arts showed that.

Helena showed Georgiana her bronze compass, smiling. "We have to transfigure the... uh, watch, but mine is a compass now, into five different designs." (OOC: in five different posts)
"Let me see... What was the spell to make it back into a watch?" She was more talking to herself. "Re... re... r-reverto?" Nothing happened. Well, of course nothing happened. You don't ask the compass to turn back into a watch. "Reverto!" Okay, the small pocket watch reappeared.
"And now..." She pointed her wand to the pocket watch, made a small cross shape, top to bottom, left to right, the small circle and the gentle jab and... "Comletia!" She looked at her pocket watch turn back into a compass... or something like that. It had a weird shape, definitely not round, it was a very intense shade of orange with a lot of different sized blue dots. Well, at least it looked like a compass.
"Your turn now," she said smiling, as she turned her face from the compass to Georgiana. "Do you have your watch? Or compass?"

I can't guarantee complete success, since I don't go around saving people from mad trees on a daily basis." His response was half retort, half promising, and half scolding. Really, what had Braeden been thinking by getting too close to the whomping willow? Sure, the Gryffindor was the epitome of dorkiness, but he definitely was not stupid.
However, now was not the time to ponder how the lion-haired teenager had ended up in danger. It was time for action. The tree seemed to know what the Ravenclaw had in mind and ruffled its leaves menacingly, as if threatening him with retaliation if Amadeus aimed a spell anywhere near it. His blue eyes glanced to his wand, to the tree, and back and forth once more quickly as he attempted to think quickly and logically.
Would petrificus totalus work? It was normally used on humans, obviously, and was a simple body bind curse. But... would it work on a plant? There was only one way to find out. "Petrificus totalus!" He called, flicking his wrist as he aimed straight for the trunk of the willow. Much to his dismay, the spell simply bounced off and flew into the nearby forbidden forest. Amadeus frowned deeply, attempting to think of another solution. "Give me a moment!" He put up his left hand, pleading with his friend to give him time to think out the safest solution.
Braeden's face filled with hope as Deus pulled out his wand and directed it at the evil tree. He was sure he'd be out of this mess in no time now; the Gryffindor boy knew no one who was better at wandwork than his best friend. Deus simply could not fail.
But he did. And the spell didn't work, and the tree was still waving its branches menacingly at the young Gryffindor who jumped and ducked each time another branch came at him. Nooooo! Whyyy?! Why couldn't the spell have worked?! This wasn't fair! Now he was doomed to die in the hands - or, rather, branches - of a stupid murderous tree! He'd always hoped he'd die a little more heroically than this. But, of course, this was just Braeden being dramatic now.
"If I die here today thanks to this stupid tree," started Braeden, his expression looking like he'd just witnessed the grim reaper sign his death certificate, "I just want you to know… I never really thought there was anything wrong with you lusting after trees last class. And--and you were the best partner I'd ever had in a three-legged race." Whew! There. He'd let his innermost dark secrets out! Now he could die in peace.

Amadeus was close to having a panic attack, especially after hearing what Stonem believed to be his very own last words. He had never been made out to be a hero before and now, he was suddenly thrust into a situation where Braeden, his best mate, could be seriously hurt, or even killed. "Think! C'mon, think!" He murmured to himself frantically, his eyes locked on the tree as his wand arm began to shake slightly. What other spells had he learned after taking seven damned years of charms lessons? Was he a Ravenclaw or not?
"I think I've got something!" Amadeus called out, more to reassure himself than anyone else of the spells possible success. Locomotor mortis: the leg-locker curse. It worked on the legs of innocent witches and wizards everywhere. Why couldn't it work on the branches of the whomping willow? Branches were essentially limbs, yes? Amadeus peered at the tree, which looked angry and bored with waiting for the next attack. It seemed as if it were about to swing at Braeden with nearly all of his branches. It would flatten him into a pancake!
He murmured the spell in a hurried manner and a jet of light shot from the tip of his wand, hitting the bellicose tree directly in the middle of its thick, gruesomely entwined roots. Would it work? Would the spell last long enough for Braeden to run off? Deus stared at the willow, quivering with anticipation.
Justin made his way over to the whomping willow quietly with his guitar around his neck and his hand in his pocket. The other hand was holding the guitar to stop it from falling anywhere. If it did, he wasn't going to be very happy. The was a dangerous tree so it was probably best not to sit near it. So he sat down as far away as possible but he was still close enough to be in the shade and out of people's way. He took the guitar from around his neck an d began messing with some strings. This time he shockingly came up with a decent tune rather quickly. But he had a lot to think about. Like how he was meant to stop his feeling's for Fee from showing to everyone else in the school. It was going to be difficult. He needed something or someone to take his mind away from it.

" Hi, how are you? Rex asked the boy with the guitar. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself. " Be careful of "The Whomping Willow" Rex said to the boy. "How many songs can you play on the guitar?' Rex asked the boy.

Justin looked up at the sound of a voice. He smiled at the boy. "Hey. Imma good. You?" he replied. Somehow he felt he knew the boy. Maybe he was just imagining it. "I'm Justin Hendricks. Pleasure meeting you, Rex" he replied. Looking behind him at the tree, Justin shrugged. "Meh, it never hurt me two years ago so it won't do now" he said. Teehee. "I play mostly my own music. But I can play quite a bit" he explained.

Watch to compass! Right now she remembered.
She looked on her bag for her silver watch. Book, parchments, quill, pocket mirror oh here it was! she took the watch and her wand ready to transfigure into a compass. She got an image of a compass on her mind, did the cross shape thing, circle and jab "Comletia" she looked the watch for something to happen...there it was the silver pocket watch transforming into a compass.
Not perfect perfect but at least it looked like a compass.
"There it is!" said Georgiana excited looking at Helena.

Helena looked at Georgiana's compass and smiled. "First design done, four more to go."
This assignment required a lot of imagination. "Let's try again." She pointed her wand at the compass and muttered "Reverto." When it turned back into a pocket watch, Helena repeated the correct wand movement. Cross shape, circle, gentle jab, incantation. She was now holding a black compass, with small snake designs all around it. It looked... Slytherin-ish.

She looked Helena's watch transforming into this kinda Slytherin compass.
"Wow! I love it!" she said looking at the black compass. "You should leave it like that" she giggled.
Okay her turn. Thinking on some kind of design. She got it.
She took her silver compass and said "Reverto" again a watch. She focused on what she wanted, did the whole wand movement, cross shape thing... and "Comletia" there it was! a type of light silver compass, with star shapes on it too astronomical it looked. Oh well she liked Astronomy.
"Look!" she said excited "It looks cute" she smiled to herself and said "Reverto" again to start another design. "Okay your turn"

Braeden was pretty much ready to die and be buried six feet under when, suddenly, Amadeus spoke. He had something? This time, the Gryffindor boy didn't get his hopes up. If the last spell didn't work, what were the chances this one would? This was it; his fate was decided. He was to die by the hand branches of the Whomping Willow and his best friend would have to witness the terrible act. Gee, that really sucked for Deus… first he had to see his best friend Mathieu die, now Braeden? Maybe he was cursed.
But then the Whomping Willow, which was just a second away from striking the poor Gryffindor boy again, halted. Its movements became forced and clumsy, and instead of hitting the boy, it hit another of its own branches. Braeden watched this with wide brown eyes. Had… had Deus's spell worked? As the Whomping Willow tried to attack again but instead hit the ground, as it seemed to have difficulty controlling its own branches, Braeden grinned goofily - he'd done it! Deus's spell had worked against the tree! Just a second later, Braeden was taking advantage of his running skills and darted far from the dreaded tree, forgetting all about the football he'd left behind, the football that had gotten him into this mess in the first place.
Breathing a bit more rapidly after that run, Braeden came to a halt by his Ravenclaw friend, glancing back at the troubled tree for a moment before turning back to Deus with large, sparkly brown eyes. His knight in shining armor! "Deus, you… you…" Now he looked like he might just burst into tears. "You saved my life!"

"Awww I really love yours!" It looked so adorable with all those stars on it.
Leave it like that? Why not? "Maybe I'll turn it like this when I'll finish the designs." So... here we go again. "Reverto," said Helena casually as she pointed her wand at the Slytherin-ish compass. Circle, cross shape, jab... Oh wait. She did it wrong. Cross shape, circle, jab, "Comletia."
If the pocket watch liked the Slytherin-ish design, it would've hated Helena now. It had a pale shade of pink, full of purple and red swirls and tiny butterflies. She grinned. "What do you think about this one?"

Again took her silver watch, wand movement the whole cross shape thing. "Comletia" her watch was taking the form of a sky blue compass with fishes on it of different colors, blue swirls that looked like ocean waves oh! and a little shark on it. "Aww i like it" she said smiling " How many designs have we done right now?" she asked.

How many? Funky shape with dots, Slytherin-ish, girly... "Three. Two more to go and we're done," she said, smiling. "Okay, next one. You'll laugh when you'll see this," she giggled. "Reverto." Hello again, pocket watch, thought Helena. Cross shape, circle, gentle jab, "Comletia."
The pocket watch turned into a brown compass, full of books. Yes, it looked like a bookshelf.

Three. Good two more to go. While Helena was doing the whole wand movement she thought for another design and transform her compass in a watch again.
She look Helena's compass and couldn't help but laugh "hahaha look at this design!" she said "It looks so cute with the whole bunch of books on it" she said smiling.
Again her turn. Wand movement, cross shape..."Comletia" this time the watch was taking form of a red compass and dragons on it, not too much imagination in this one but at least she got it. "Too simple this one" she said "Reverto" compass to watch again " Okay your turn, last design" she said with a smile.

"Oooh I love the dragons!"
"Okay, last but not least." She lazily pointed her wand at the bookshelf-compass and said "Reverto." Cross shape, circle, jab, incantation. Helena kept the most complicated design at the end. The newly transfigured compass was silvery and had two outstretched hands on it. A dove was there as well, and Helena charmed it to fly around. "I'm done," she said, smiling to Georgiana.

Her last design and she knew what she was going to do.
"Aww it's so cute" looking at the flying dove. Okay ready wand movement, cross shape thing "Comletia" Georgiana was kinda tired of this whole movements. And there it was her compass, it was a Quidditch pitch, the houses colors on it and with the little snitch too. "Okay we are done with our hmwk" she smiled and said "Reverto" and once again did the wand movement and cross shape thing "Comletia" and the Astronomical design appeared on the compass "I'll leave it like that" she chuckled.

Elektra walked arounf the grounds for a while. She missed Derian a lot. Classes have been very hectic for the both of them so they both were just getting their things taken care of for classes. Elektra had made her way to the Whomping Willow and remembered what her friend Selina told her about how this Willow Tree was. It basically had a mind of it's own and as Elektra stared at it she was quite intimidated by it. It was HUGE! She set her emerald green-eye gaze on it examining it up and down and up and down. This is was one thing of nature she didn't want to mess with.

Dianna had no idea what in the Merlin;s name was she doing here. She was supposed to be back at the common room, studying. Meh. She can do that later. Walking by the whomping willow she remembered all the stories her father and mother had told her about it. She can actually imagine what happened to Harry Potter and Hermione Granger at their time. Awesome.
Drowned in her thoughts she didn't realize there was a branch right in her path. Tripping she accidentally cut her knee and scrapped her left hand.
"Hey, would you mind helping me up?" she asked the girl nearest to her.

"Don't go wandering near any dangerous trees again, right?" His smile continued on as he chuckled a bit. Even though he appeared to seem calm, Deus couldn't help but still feel slightly shaken. Braeden could have been a goner, if not for his handy wandwork. Amadeus Alfred Kipling was a hero. Glancing back towards the tree, Amadeus noticed that the spell was beginning to wear off. The whomping willow seemed to be shaking his branches in their general direction, as if it were a decrepit old man telling two crazy youngsters to get off of his lawn.
"Are you alright?" Amadeus asked calmly, taking a thorough look at Braeden as he echoed himself from a few minutes before.
Elektra kept staring at the Willow. Why was she so enticed by this tree? She finally snapped out it after seeing someone fall over and she made her way over to the girl who had tripped and fallen. "You alright?" She asked grabbing the girls arm to help her up. "Pretty hard hit to the ground you had there."
You know, what really is best for us and wizardingkind." Surely their discussion in Defense Against the Dark Arts showed that.
thinking of how to explain what he wanted to do with the muggle tech"have you ever seen a 2 way mirror where one person has a mirror and anouther has it twin and each can see what the outher mirror sees i was wondering if we had some could a cam corder record what is on the mirror that isnot magic it is just a reflection of the outher mirror that could be set up in hogmeads but i need help in how to get sound, if we just say oh that wont work with out trying different thing then your right because it didnt work because we didnt try" thinking bout the teachers " look I have only been here for a little over a yr and have only know bout magic for 1/2 yr longer than that so that is why i will listen to what yall have to say but I am just saying somthing is off it might be they are trying to protect us us.I am not saying things are right or wrong" just off

"You got that right." Di mumbled as she stood up with the help of the girl. This was pretty lame and embarrassing for her. Gladly, not much dirt was placed on her clothes although her knee and hand was still bleeding.
"So uh..thanks," Di said.
"I'm Dianna." she continued as she held out her left then switched to the right hand forward.
