Cedric's boredom certainly had gotten the best of him. Here he was, standing still near the mystical Whomping Willow, obviously not so sure of why he was there to begin with. His hand tucked on his pockets, he did the usual thing when he found himself in an unwanted place because of some unwanted circumstances; he glanced around, contemplating the whole place, scouring it thoroughly as if he was reading a book... and there he saw her, gaping at the tree that turns aggressive when you step close to it. What was she exactly doing there? Gaping at the tree? Hmm. Perhaps the Quidditch captain was watching the tree's moves to be applied on Quidditch matters or perhaps it teaches her some sort of technique or something? The tree 'whomps', like a bludger, it smashes things.

He dragged his shadow after him, walking towards Melanie. They weren't that close but he knew her. She was his 'other colleague' anyway. "Hi," Cedric greeted with a smile upon reaching the girl.

"You know I've been told that so many times." That didn't mean that he agreed with it at all though. Legend was a genius in his mind, and that was all that mattered!

Legend froze as Neptune wrapped her fingers around his. That was like she was holding his hand. WHY was she holding his hand. His eyes narrowed. This seemed like a test. "Err-" As Neptune leaned into him his mind blanked. This was NOT a good test. Girls alone made him nervous, girls would were abnormally close to him made him want to run away screaming. "I guess some good...we aren't arguing. And you aren't charming my head." That was good right? Legend looked down as he started to blush more.

You Neptune Bott, no matter how smart you think you are, are evil. This freaking Legend test was not alright.

And... How was she making him uncomfortable again? Neptune so wasn't following his thoughts. Nothing uncomfortable about strolling together around a large and deadly tree.

It was definitely going to take a term or more to fix Legend Chosen.

YAAAAAY. Legend let out a sign of relief. There was on need to run now, everything was find but- maybe he had failed the test? "Yo-an-...nothing." Nothing, nothing. "Of course you're a girl. You spell ten times better than a boy" And boys acted so different duh.

"Is the test over? Or is Jake gonna pop out and try to punch me or something?" And then he had to protect her with out yelling or fighting. And then....yeah. His mind was working over time. He was just happy to be out of the girl coming to close situation.

Far less students paid the Whomping Willow a visit, than did most other parts of the grounds - this being one of the reasons that Jared, dressed in the kind of elegantly-cut black robes that he could be seen in often, had chosen this spot to escape to. Escape to?

Yes. Much quieter a surrounding than he could find in his office, here. That place, students seemed to love. He didn't particularly mind that, but sometimes, a break can become essential.

Like now.

"Meee singing?",Fee asked raising an eyebrow,"i sing horrible Rex."Everyone would run away if she started.Hehe."But i am up for recording your first single",she laughed,"you will have a ton fangirls."Not that he already had fangirls swooning all over him."Need your best friend at the fitting?,the girl asked wiggling her eyebrows. Oh tnat would be soo cool if they could go there together.But only if he wanted to that was. "Weell of course shie vould be glittery",the second year nodded,"why not?"

The girl was watching the students in front of her, closer to the Whomping Willow, as well as the Willow itself, so she hadn't exactly been expecting anyone to come up from behind. Melanie very nearly jumped a half foot in the air at Cedric's greeting... And trust me, that's not a difficult feat when you're sitting on the ground. Brushing herself off a little, Melanie got to her feet hastily. In the presence of another seventh year, sitting around on the grounds suddenly seemed rather silly. Especially since she was perched in front of a giant tree that was rumored to WHOMP on unsuspecting students.

"Hey Cedric." Melanie returned his smile with a small one of her own. Cedric had always been a familiar face... An acquaintance. She knew him, but she didn't know him well enough to like him... And she had no reason to dislike him either. He did enjoy quidditch, though, and that was always a plus. "What are you doing here?" she inquired curiously, wondering why on earth the prefect would be wandering around the Whomping Willow... and clearly overlooking the fact that she was doing the exact same thing.

She seemed rather solemn a while ago right when he wasn't yet interrupting(?) her. She seemed to be mulling over. Was she doing a ritual or something? You know, situated on the ground, solemn, alone... HAH. A ritual?! Silly thought, yes? Cedric dropped that 'silly' thought away as soon as it had come. He just thought it was... well, silly. But he just so wondered... what was Melanie doing here? Cedric liked trees a lot but that doesn't necessarily mean he liked trees and scary trees alike. And Whomping Willow, for one, is a scary tree; it chills you to the bone as its dead stiff branches and twigs sway to the gust of the wind, and create a somewhat discomforting sound. But of course, for he wanted to be a Herbologist, he would need to deal with trees or plants hideous in sight, pungent in senses.

What was he doing here? Cedric was shocked by that question, though his face bore no sign of shock or surprise. He thought she'd just ask him how are you or something more cordial. "Oh, I err.. not really sure," Cedric replied, casually. Right, answer a vague answer to a question of that sort. "How about you, Melanie?" And fire it back to its rightful owner.

" I bet you are not that bad in singing" Rex told Fee. " I am just ok at singing, but I incorporate dance moves with my singing" Rex said to Fee." Yeah, aure a ton of fangirls' Rex laughed. "Well, there will be all guys at the fitting" Rex said to Fee. " I do not want Rene mad at me if you came to the fitting, but as long as Hugo is there, you could help him" Rex explained to Fee." Rene probaly would not mind, I am just being very careful" Rex smiled.

Last minute preparations for the first lesson of the year were always difficult; you could never seem to get that free moment to yourself in your office. Students bustling in and out to just say 'hi' or introduce themselves. Thankfully, it was still pleasant outside and the expansive grounds provided the spaciousness and quietness that Josephina craved.

Except ... what was this man whom she'd seen sitting just a few spots down from her at the feast doing outside in such elegantly-cut robes? And near the violent tree of the Whomping Willow; didn't he know those robes would easily be damaged? Naturally, she was dressed in a pair of low heels and her casual black robes.

"You're going to ruin those elegant robes with grass stains." She said simply, in a warning type tone.

Jared, having come to a halt an almost safe distance away from the giant tree, turned around at the sound of a voice. It seemed a tad familiar - one he had heard before, though not often.

"Professor Hadley," he acknowledged, tones light.

Her statement caused a genial half-smile to flick across his face. "That's the kind of thing charms are there to prevent, Professor." He had, after all, no intention of looking like a mess when he chose to head back inside.

Well it seemed he had read up on the professors of Hogwarts, because he knew her name, which unfortunately she could not say the same. At least she knew he was a wizard, not a witch!

"Yes, that would be my name," Josephina said, fighting the urge to add a don't wear it out, afterward. Just because HE was a smart aleck, didn't mean she would be.

"Point taken." She said, shaking her head at his wise remark. "But what brings you the lovely outdoor abode near this famous historical tree?" Clearly not tree climbing; you'd have to be insane to attempt such a thing. Nevermind the fact that this was free grounds and he was just as welcome to this area as she was . . .

Helena was walking around the school grounds, not having the slightest idea where to go. She eventually arrived at the famous Whomping Willow. She read a lot about it in Hogwarts, A History but, in real life, it looked even more terrifying, she thought as she looked up and down at it.

I don't get closer, it won't hurt me, right? she thought, trying to comfort herself.

Ellie wandered her way through the grounds and eventually found herself near the Whomping Willow. She looked at the letter in her hand she had received from her insane mother. She rolled her eyes and plopped down on the ground. She set the papers down on the grass and adjusted her skirt.

Suddenly, a light gust of wind started to blow her letter away. EEP. She began to crawl towards it (she was too lazy to use her feet) when another gust blew it farther. Ellie groaned. Come on, really?

Fee just shook her head at her best friend."You have noooo idea",the girl laaughed.She really did awful when it came to singing."someone should really discover my talented best friend",she wiggled hr eyebrows.Ohh xeee Rex was more than just that and imagine how cool that would be if he got famous.Hehe."Yes tons",the Slytherin winked,"but who can blame them?"He was a cool guy.Ohh there wre only the guys at the fitting meeeeh. And theeen he mentioned Hugo."I need to tell you something",the blonde smiled widely,"Hugo and I we are a couple now."Maaaan was she excited about it, how was it possivle that the world was so beautiful today?!

Didn't that make her title - Professor - part of her name? Jared easily kept back a grin. "Of course, mademoiselle," he said, inclining his head ever so slightly, his tones polite.

Under normal circumstances, he would have given her his name; but considering that they had been colleagues for a while now, he assumed that she'd already know it.

"A little bit of this, a little bit of that," he said, and he did grin this time, his usual lazy little grin, though his tones became more serious as he continued to speak. "My office can get a tad crowded, at times. Not to mention, the Willow presents a magnificent sight."

Or perhaps he just had a natural affinity for the dangerous. Dangerous people, dangerous creatures, dangerous items.

" Ok, you can't sing, but you probably have other talents" Rex told Fee."Well, I do agree that I can really dance" Rex said to Fee. " Well tons would be something but I would never want that type of career come between me and Rene" Rex explained to Fee." Hugo and you are a couple?" Rex asked Fee, He hugged his best female friend. "What took you so long?" Rex asked Fee laughing. "Actually, I should talk, Rene and I took awhile, too" Rex smiled.

".... Jake?" Neptune looked around for him. Was Legend expecting him? What? "This isn't a test... You..." WHAT? Neptune slowed to a stop and LOOKED up at Legend. "I'm not testing you." Not really. Teasing, yes. Testing.... nah.

It was a sunny day at Hogwarts, nice to go out and look around, Georgiana thought looking from the common room and quickly she went out. Looking around she saw a lot of boys and girls of different houses enjoying the day as much as she was.

Something caught her attention at the whomping willow, she saw Helena looking at the tree and went to say hi. "Hello theree!!" she yelled she was a little bit far from Helena, and waved at her " Don't get too close or it will hit you" she warned, well it was obviously she knew that since Helena was pretty far from the tree. Georgiana sat down looking at the lake and looked back to gestured Helena to sit down next to her "Come! sit here" she said smiling.

Alright, Legend was officially confused. The blonde blinked a couple of times before he shook his head. "But...you were like..coming closer to me and stuff...like a test..to see what I would do....right?" It had to be a test right?

He could slowly feel his cheeks heating up. Pretty and confusing girl's needed to be locked up so they would stop turning his brain into mush. "I'm er- gonna go now Neptune." He could already feel his IQ dropping. Legend dropped his arm, and pulled away slightly. "You can like...return the cloak whenever."

Well.

That wasn't obscure at all.

Melanie shrugged at his question. Though she didn't exactly want to, she might as well tell the truth. "I was watching the Whomping Willow. To see if it would knock someone over or something." That didn't sound too strange, did it? Melanie hoped not... "It hasn't yet. Maybe it likes the company." she added, frowning thoughtfully as she looked curiously over at the tree again. Melanie imagined if she were the Whomping Willow, rooted to one spot in the cold and in the heat, and watching students mill around all day, she would grow bitter with them. She didn't see why it didn't swat everyone away.
