Ah, but he resisted the urge to roll them again as he laughed at her 'threat' or whatever that was. "I'm not brilliant, Cricket." His father knew far more about Quidditch than he did, even Kaika knew even more, perhaps.

But still, it was rather funny to see the fellow badger roll her eyes. Ha.

And, see? Once the Snidget was mentioned then she could totally relate to it. Hopefully she could make the connection between the bird and the sport? No? Well, it was better not to mention the reason why the Snitch was presented in the first place.

His smile certainly widened, thanks to the many laughs that followed her congratulations, "Yes, the invisible team, of course." Whatever that was. She could've said 'the Bludgers' team' but, yeah, no, the invisible one, perhaps those were the same that kept the Pitch greener than ever, even if it was already April.

"Come, let's head back to the Castle." And he stood up, waiting on Simon too, they had to head back any moment now, right? After all, the fight was no longer there.

Marie rolled her eyes at Destiny. Yeah, she could have waited but what was the point? They were both going to the same place anyway.

Turning her attention to Finn she totally blocked out anything Destiny was saying to her. She did however blush when Finn said she didn't look so bad herself. "Thanks." It made her feel good to know that he thought that about her.

Not letting go of his hand when he sat next to her Marie couldn't make the smile leave her face. Having Finn there with her just felt so... right. "Yeah, Lafay always gets into the game like that when we play. She may not be the easiest professor to get along with but she does show support for her house." Although she's also not against taking points from her own house either.

Feeling someone jabbing her in the side she looked over at Destiny. "Geez Destiny, you don't have to poke me like that." Of course she didn't see him make any of the goals. She was too busy with other things right now. "Um yeah, sure, I seen it. You better keep watching, wouldn't want you to miss any of his action." Speaking of action.

She looked out at the pitch just in time to see Carter smack the quaffle... right into the back of Evelyn's head.

"NOOOOOOOO!"

Letting go of Finn's hand she jumped up as she watched her best friend fall to the ground. Why didn't Evelyn listen to her earlier and not play today? If she would have listened then she wouldn't be laying there on the ground... motionless.

Searching the pitch she found Carter. Oh he was so going to be feeling her wrath. If he thought it hurt when she punched him in the arm... he was going to be wishing for that little punch again when she was finished with him now.

Turning back to Finn she started to move past him. "I gotta go. I have a lion to hunt down." A lion that was gonna wish he would have skipped the game today when she was done with him.

Yeah, Marie had pretty much lost it now and wasn't even thinking that Carter didn't intentionally hurt Evelyn. All she was thinking about was the fact that he hit the quaffle that injured her friend so she was going to make him hurt now. Just as soon as Finn let her get past him.

Finn noticed how she hadn't let go of his hand. Mmm. He liked that....just as long as she didn't get really into the game, and squeeze his hand to death, because that wouldn't be too good. "It's good that she gets into the game...." It would be good for the snake team to know that their head of house was cheering for them. "Although I wouldn't want to get hit by her bat...." Because he had a feeling that it would really hurt. Luckily he'd never been hit with a beaters bat, only a bludger, but he still had a feeling that it wouldn't be very good. At least there were quite a bit away from Lafay, so as long as she didn't throw the bat anywhere they would be perfectly fine.

But then Marie's hand was out of his, and she was suddenly on her feet. What was going on?? He stood up beside her, and then his eyes widened in shock. Evelyn was lying on the floor...just like Jimmy had been the previous game. Oh no. This was really bad. Two injured players in as many games, and two people that were really close to Marie. Finn tore his eyes away from the game as he felt Marie try to move past him. Wait....she had a lion to hunt? Oh no. She was going to go find the guy that had hurt Evelyn, and hurt him. Finn had a feeling that he shouldn't let her go do that. He knew she'd regret it. "No Marie...."

He stood still, not letting her pass. He wasn't going to let her go. Not to that guy anyway. Of course he'd take her up to the hospital wing, but he wasn't going to let her go hurt that guy. "Your not going anywhere..." But he knew that she was going to struggle, so he quickly wrapped his arms around her, hopefully so that she'd not be able to get away.

No! He was telling her no? Yeah right, like she was going to take no for an answer. She would just push her was past him if she had to. "Get out of my way Finlay." She said as she began to push him. She was going to find Carter and no one was going to stop her. "I'm going. You can't stop me." Feeling him put his arms around her she began to struggle trying to pull his arms from around her. "Let me go!" Why wouldn't he let her go? All she wanted to do was find Carter and make him pay for what he had done to Evelyn.

Finn knew that he needed to stand his ground, mainly because he knew that if she tried to push past him, she probably would be able to....and that he probably would've given in to her. That part of him was kind of suckish. "I can stop you Marie." Oh yes he could. 10 years of quidditch had definetly given him some strength, and he was determined to not let her go. "Marie..." When she began struggling, he just held onto her tighter. Yeah. He was not going to let her go at all. "If I let you go you'll only do something you regret." And end up in detention no doubt. And that was the last place he wanted her in. "Just calm down..." And he'd take her to see Evelyn.

GAH!

Why did Finn have to make this so difficult for her? She wanted to go find Carter and she wanted to do it NOW! "No you can't!" She again tried pulling his arms away from her only to feel them tighten even more. "I'm not going to regret what I'm going to do." Heck she didn't even know what it was she was going to do yet. She would figure that out when the time came. When Carter was in her reach. "I don't want to calm down. I want to make him pay for what he did." Why wouldn't he just let her do this?

Spotting his prefect badge an idea came to her. Maybe if she took his badge off him then he would let her go. He wouldn't have to act all prefecty with her. Letting go of one of his arms that she was trying to pull away from her she quickly grabbed his badge and snatched it off his shirt. "Now you can let me go. You're not on duty anymore."

Yep, the girl had totally lost it here.

Now. Marie was realy strong for a girl, and Finn was kind of hoping that she wasn't going to like overpower him or something, because that would look really embarrasing. Right now though, he was more focused on making sure that Marie was not going to go. She'd end up in detention, and that was the last place that he would want her. "Yes! You are Marie!" There wasn't much else he could do really, apart from just hold her in his arms. "You'll end up in detention, and then I'll never be able to see you!" Which was a slight exaggaration, but he did hope it would work. "And do you seriously think going and punching him is going to help Marie! If you do then...." He wasn't going to finish that sentence, because he didn't want too.

Wait. What was she doing? She'd taken his prefect badge off? What was she doing. He eyed her carefully, not letting his arms loosen, just incase it was a ploy or something. "I'm still not letting you go Marie. Im doing this because I'm your friend, not because I have too!"

What was it going to take for her to get him to let her go? "I'm not going to end up in detention. I've never been there yet for punching anyone." And trust her, she had punched a LOT of people over the past few years. Including stomping on the foot of a professor. Oh geesh, exaggerate much Finn? "Even if I do get detention you'll see me again. It's not like they're gonna cart me off to Azkaban... just the dungeons." Which was no big thing since she lived down there anyway. Grr, him and his stinking Ravenclaw wisdom. "It may not help Evelyn but it will make him think before he does that to anyone else again." See, she was just looking out for the well being of other possible Carter Phillips victims.

He was doing this because he was her friend? Pssh, Destiny was her friend too and she would be right there with her, most likely cheering her on. That is if she wasn't so busy watching Patroclus or whatever it was she was doing right now. Since taking his badge didn't work then there was only one thing left for her to do. "Then as my friend how about you come with me. You can be there to make sure I don't kill hurt him too badly." She looked at him with sad puppy dog eyes. The very eyes that she felt a tear escaping from.

The question now was would this be enough for her to get what she wanted?

"Yeah...what if your luck changes Marie?" Finn frowned at her, trying his best not to let her change his mind, because he was not letting her go and beat up that guy. No way. Because it would not be good. "Yeah....but still." Finn couldn't help but grin at her. It was a good excuse! He didn't care if the wouldn't have been in detention that long, it was still the idea. Finn sighed, looking at her. She wasn't going to agree with him was she? Which really sucked to be honest. Maybe he should just take her away from her, he was sure that if he could stop her from going, he'd be able to pull her back up to the castle.

Wait. What was that look? It was really cute, and Finn frowned again, eying her carefully. What was she up too. Oh...No way. He couldn't crumble now. "Marie..." He sighed, loosening his arms just a little bit. "You won't listen to me." Because she wasn't listening to him right now, and he was certain that she wouldn't listen to him when Carter was in her sights. "Your are not going, and definetly not with me." Not at all. They were either staying here, or going back to the castle.

"Well, if my luck changes then I guess I get out of classes for a day." Not that she had been going to many classes anyway. Oh, he was loosening his grip on her. Maybe he was going to let her go now. The sad eyes must have done the trick... or not.

Suddenly feeling defeated here she broke down and cried. "Why does everyone I care about get hurt playing this stupid game?" It was almost like it was a curse. If she cared about you then you would get hurt playing quidditch. "I don't know what I'll do if Ev isn't alright." Sure, Jimmy had made it through his fall, which was a lot worse than the one Ev took, but still, he was a lot tougher than her too. Still holding Finn's badge she now put her arms around him and held him tight as she put her head on his shoulders and continued to cry.

Maybe if she closed her eyes she would find out this had all been a bad dream when she opened them.

"You've hardly been to any classes anyway." Finlay remarked with a little grin, as he glanced back at the game. It was over, all the players were on the floor. Maybe it would be a good idea to go now, before any of them decided to come up here. He knew he probably have no change of holding Marie back if Carter did come up here. Hopefully he wouldn't though.

Shockingly enough though it didn't look like Marie was struggling anymore. No. She was crying! His super tough Marie was crying, and Finn instantly felt really bad. Had he made her cry by not letting her go? "Marie...Don't cry." He rubbed her back gently. He didn't want her to cry, because he felt horrible. He'd made enough girls cry in his life, and he didn't want Marie to be one of those girls. She was different. "It's a dangerous game Marie...we all know that." Didn't stop them all playing it though, which was probably a bad thing. Finaly was really hoping that Evelyn was going to be okay too. "I'll take you up to the hospiutal wing, we can go see how she is right now." He just wanted to stop her crying.

Marie couldn't stop the tears from coming. It was like a dam had broke and there was no holding them back now. She tried to stop when Finn was rubbing her back but it didn't happen. They may have slowed down but they were still there. Raising her head she took one arm from around Finn and wiped her tears on her sleeve. Yeah, she knew it was a dangerous game but...

Realizing that they had won the game it hit her. Slytherin would be playing Ravenclaw in the next match. Looking through her tear filled eyes into Finn's blurry looking face she sniffled. "You... you play in the next game... against... us." Holy Merlin, this wasn't good. Jimmy and Ev had already been hurt, did this mean Finn was next? He was the next one in line of those she cared about on the teams. Maybe it would be best if she didn't come to watch that match. Maybe if she stayed away from the pitch then the bad luck she seems to bring would stay away too.

For now though she needed to see how Evelyn was doing. She would worry about the next game when that time came. "Yeah, that would be nice. I wanna go see how she's doing." She had been to the hospital to visit and check on her friends more times than she cared to count... yet she had only been there one time for herself, and that was only because Carter made her go when she got a split lip from falling off her broom. Heh, Carter, the same one she had went to visit when he got hurt playing quidditch two terms ago. The same one she wanted to pound into the ground now. My how things have changed over time.

This was a little awkward. Finn hadn't had a girl cry on him for a long time, mainly because he had been single for a while, and didn't really go around upsetting girls. So this was a little awkward. It didn't stop him feeling really bad though. He really didn't want Marie crying, not at all. Finn smiled at her softly, unwrapping one arm from around her, and brushing the tears away from her cheeks.

Then said something, that did make him think about things. They were playing slytherin next. "We are..." He really hoped nobody would get hurt in it, considering that Evelyn, Jimmy and himself would be playing. It wouldn't do anything for Marie if they got hurt. "I'm sure we'll all be fine..." He was lying. He was actually lying to her. But he didn't know what else to do, to make her feel better. He also had a funny feeling that she would know he was lying. It sucked really, but he didn't want her to cry anymore.

"Lets go now." Finn smiled at, taking his other arm from around her, and instead offering his hand out to her. He knew she wasn't going to go running off to punch Carter now, but he figured she still might want some comforting. Finn also had a feeling that it would do her good to be away from here, hopefully it would calm her need to hurt Carter...or maybe not.

Marie knew Finn was only trying to make her feel better when he said he was sure they would all be fine in the next game. She knew there was no way he could guarantee no one would get hurt. "Right, you're all gonna be fine." Maybe if she just watched the game and didn't actually cheer for anyone then no one would get hurt.

"Yeah, lets go." Taking her arm from around him she happily took his hand. Reaching up she kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks for everything." Who knows what she would have done if he wouldn't have been there to stop her. Whatever it was she was sure it wouldn't have been pretty. Turning back to Destiny she called out, "When you're done staring at Patroclus you can come meet us at the hospital. We're going to check on Ev." She then followed Finn out of the stands... not letting go of his hand.

Today was the big day. The match between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. And Ellie was the first one to the stands. Granted she was like, super early. But she had nothing better to do and she was nervous.

She wanted Ravenclaw to win. Because, DUH, it was her house. But she still wanted to cheer for Alex because. Well because it was ALEX and she really liked him. But where did her loyalties lie?!

Ugh. She was too young to be stressed out about loyalties. Just play the game already.

Making her way up to the stands, Destiny took a quick glance around, making sure Caroline and her lion hat was not around. And if she was, well, she would have to be crazy. Gryffindor wasn't even playing in the game and there should be no one to support them.

Except her of course, since Patroclus was on the team.

And he wasn't in the stands either. Actually, no one she knew was. Lame. Plopping herself in one of the seats all the way up top, since she knew that's where Marie liked to seat, Destiny stretched herself out, placing her feet on the bench in front of her and pulled out a bag of chocolate from her pocket.

"Woohoo!! Go Evelyn!"

She will be more excited once the game actually starts.

Iris made her way down to the stands, after deciding that she WAS going to watch this match. Finding an empty seat near the front of the stands, Iris sat down cross legged. She'd spent the morning by the lake, and so hadn't seen anyone else this morning. Sooo, she was probably going to be watching this match alone.

The Ravenclaw team were good. But after Slytherin's win in the last game, the prefect wasn't worried about that at all.

Jake had ventured out of the castle to watch today's game, and he had to admit he was super nervous just about watching. Mainly because whoever won... he'd be in trouble. Jake was, of course, ASSUMING he'd be playing Seeker in the Championship game, because he'd been practicing as such...

But if Ravenclaw won, he'd be up agains Jimmy or the second year girl. Jimmy was fast, which was worrying. The second year, Jake had only played against for a little part of a game, but that AND the scoping out of tryouts assured him that she was not a force to be reckoned with. None of them were.

Slytherin had Evelyn, which terrified Jake, though he wouldn't say. She was so fast, and Jake was nervous about playing her. It was a principle thing.

So today...? He was rooting for nobody. Jake was just present for the fun of watching a brilliantly played quidditch game.

So Slytherin vs Ravenclaw.

Not a match that interested Josh in anyway. Yet there was a fact that he did not want Ravenclaw to taste victory. Maybe Slytherin was the team that made his team leave the tournament yet the idea of eagles winning was way worse. That of course did not mean he was rooting for Slytherin. He was rooting for no team but Gryffindor. Anyway, the only interesting thing about this game was that Evelyn was playing and of course Josh was now at the stands only to watch and keep an eye of her.

If...anyone should try to hurt or injure her again, the Gryffindor boy was going to...well...he was not sure what he was going to do but he knew it was not going to be pleasant for that player. He could even raid the field or the locker rooms if such a thing would ever happen. Walking among the seats, the boy looked around to choose some fine place to get seated as well as to see if there was anyone he knew. Aha! There was Destiny! Hehe.

Smirking he approached the excited she-snake who was yelling for Evelyn and dropped himself on the seat next to her. Then as she was staring at the field, he snatched the bag of chocolate from his hand. ''Thank you, Destiney. That is just what have been imagining to have''

Salander strolled up into the stands, eying both teams. Looks like Evelyn recovered ok, Jim looks to be completely out of commission. He realized only then that Ellie took over his Seeker post. Another friend he wished not to get hurt-- specially for someone so young. But Slytherin needed to win this game. The Snakes were behind in both House and Quidditch Cup bids and that didnt please Salander.

Not.One.Bit.

He settled down on a seat just as he heard Destiny cheer for Evelyn. He whistled out in support, but the worry was clear on his face. What happens when Evelyn gets into another accident?

Brooooding....

Today was the day for the game Marie had been dreading. Slytherin against Ravenclaw. Naturally she wanted her own house to win but at the same time she would be cheering for a certain Ravenclaw too. She was also dreading this game for another reason. She was worried that someone she cared about was going to get hurt again. She cared about someone on both teams this time and the last 2 games the person that got hurt was someone she cared about a lot. She wasn't going to let herself think about that though. No, she was here to have fun and cheer for her friends.

Looking up through the stands she didn't spot too many people yet. She did however see Jake there. Yeah, she would just be staying away from him today. She was not in the mood for any drama.

Looking further up in the stands she spotted Destiny... and Josh. Great, just the person she DIDN'T want to sit by. She didn't want to be anywhere near Josh so badly that she was tempted to go sit with Jake. However, seeing as how Destiny had went all the way to the top of the stands she decided seh would go sit with her friend. She wasn't going to let Josh come between her and her REAL friends.

Making her way to the top she plopped down next to the Destiny just as Josh snatched the chocolate from her. Could that boy ever go anywhere and NOT be a jerk? Doubtful. She really didn't know what Evelyn seen in him. He was a complete idiot. "You want me to break his nose for you?" she whispered to Destiny. She so wanted to hurt Josh and it wasn't going to take much to set her off today.

Professor Hadley had absolutely NO idea why she'd come out today to watch the game. For starters, it wasn't like she understood really what was happening. Perhaps Max could give her some private tutorial over the summer and explain what those balls and stuff meant. If he was available of course. But anyway, truth of the matter, she was outside and she guessed that's why she came: fresh air. It helped clear her mind so she could properly sit down later and plan out her final lesson of the term.

Not to mention some of her students were playing in today's match: Evelyn, Sierra, Alexander ... were some of the Slytherins she recognized out there in the distance. As for there Ravenclaws, she spotter Ellie, Spike, Vashti, Emily, Finlay, and of course, Jacob. Basically all the Eagles she recognized except for their Keeper. WAIT ... WHAT WAS THAT BAT THING in Jacob's hand?!? Fina had a bad feeling about this. Yup, she totally did.

"Oh. Hi Miss Salazar," she said, finally noticing she'd taken the seat next to another of her students.

Ah another game of quidditch and after the last game's results all he could do was watch as the other teams competed in the last two games of the season. It was a bittersweet thought but nevertheless Simon made his way up to the stands for watching was fun as well. Reaching the top of one of the towers, he debated where to stand, however as he looked around he spotted Josh and then the two Slytherins right nearby and his mind was made up.

"Hey," he greeted coming up beside his best friend. "Chosing a rather rocky spot eh?" he added quieter so only Josh would hear what he had to say. Sure Carter would be in far greater danger sitting around two-thirds of the she-snakes but Simon had know the three already there to be on just as precarious relationship.

Riley had been a little late but it really didn't matter, it wasn't like Gryffindor was playing or anything. The sixth year entered the full stands and was standing on tip-toes to try and find a seat that wasn't likely to get swept over by students flying at high-speeds on broomsticks but that was pretty much everywhere.

So finally, he settled on a seat about half-way up the stands and made his way over there, finally getting there after making a bunch of unhappy students stand up, he sat down and huffed as he tried to get comfortable. Sitting next to him was Professor Hadley. "Oh hello there Professor, isn't it nice that we are so close to the sky for this match?" he said joking again about her sudden appearance as Astronomy Professor the other day.

Clapping excitedly, Riely cheered on Ravenclaw as his friend Deus blocked a shot from a Slytherin. He was defiantely pulling for the Ravens today.

It seemed like she had arrived just in time. Once she was settled in the seat, Destiny kept her eyes on the field, waiting for the game to start. She was actually very excited despite not really caring about Quidditch or flying for that matter. Slytherin was so going to win. She would bet her bag of chocolate on it.

The same bag of chocolate that was now out of her hand.

She wasn't really paying attention to the people that entered the stands and that was probably a bad idea. She had missed Sal walking in! Giving the boy a finger waggling wave, she turned to glaaaaare at the person who STOLE her chocolate. And she should have known who it was. "JOSH! I would have given you some if you just asked!" But now it was in his hand and she didn't want it anymore. She had a feeling he was dirty. "You can keep that this time. I have another bag."

Always prepared, Destiny was.

Pulling out the other bag, she grasped it tightly so no one could steal it from her. When Marie whispered in her ear, if it wasn't a bag of choooocoooolate, she would have surely dropped the bag. "No thanks, Marie. Keep your fists..in your mouth or something." Because Destiny was in the middle and she didn't want to be in the middle of an accidental punching.

Besides, there was a Professor there now!

"HELLO, PROFESSOR HADLEY!"

Destiny was loud..just in case Marie did not notice her sitting there.
