Resisting the urge to stick her tongue out at him, the Slytherin instead silently fumed as she turned her glare attention back to the flying class, seeing the students already out in the air. Some looking quite comfortable out there, like Sierra of course, and others who were just plain funny to watch.

Jacob listened for Vindictus's next instructions. Obstacles? Whats kind of Obsta-

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!"

Jacob shrieked and fell off his lawn chair. "Giant Cupcake." It was a cake... just small!... but this one wasn't small! "Don't hurt me... don't hurt me... Please, don't hurt me!" And here he was thinking he was over his fear of cakes. Man, the parties are gonna be rough this term.

Jacob was lucky he didn't have a heart attack! That cake was huge! It was gonna eat him... "So Much Frosting! So... Much... Frosting!"

...

"So... we're watching."

Clearly. Hence the... watching part. "Personally, I want to see what they make of Vindictus."

And what kind of snacks Vindictus will make out of them.




Speaking of snacks... was that a cupcake? Looking at it, it was about the right size... you know, if it was RIGHT in front of Jake. And the boy thought it was. He had his arm extended for it before he realised otherwise.

Now he was just hungry. Beans and popcorn just wasn't ENOUGH.

Simon was glad she didn't take it too hard and went right back to class and Vindictus didn't seem bothered by the whole event. But then again he had the whole class to focus on not just one over-excited first year Gryffindor. Ignoring the banter between Jake and Evelyn he went back to watching the lesson, curious as the professor mentioned obstacles and chuckling slightly at the sight of the giant cupcake.

The Gryffindor wasn't at all bothered by the image finding it quite funny in all truth since it certainly wasn't something you'd expect floating in the sky especially at that size. He couldn't help but wince however as the Ravenclaw he had been seated right beside let out an ear-piercing shriech.

"What's up with you?" he asked turning to him with raised eyebrow as his hand rubbed the inner ear of the one nearest his companion. The muttering the boy was producing only making things seem more strange.

They were watching the flying lesson? Well....Vindictus was a scary fellow...Ellie felt so, at least.

So, this could be kinda fun, right?

Ellie was unphased by the appearance of the giant cupcake, though it was pretty cool. A giant cupcake.

She made a face at Jacob's screech. It really.... it was really loud. But very Jacob. It didn't surprise her.

BUT it was still funny. To her, at least. She hoped he would've gotten over that ridiculous fear by now. But the fact that he hadn't....made it funny.

The falling was just an added bonus.

"He's afraid of cake," Ellie said simply. She totally felt the need to supply an answer. She'd seen Jacob with cake before. She was practically an expert.

So she feels.

Hyun grinned to himself when he saw the girl was a bit startled, yes he noticed it. "Ah great, i wasn't sure if you were a slytherin...i'm a bit bad at remembering the houses..." yeah , transfer. "Pleasure to meet you too, Emma. And yes i am, i'm trying out as chaser or seeker" he watched how the girl was hovering in the air too. "I'm a sixth year but this is my first year at Hogwarts." He sighed deeply before continueing. "I was a Durmstrang student first before my father had gotten a job in London, so i had to switch schools" At first , Hyun hated it. He hated Hogwarts because he missed Durmstrang but now that he had been here for some time he actually started to like it. "Anyways" he said and looked at Emma with a twinkle in his eyes. "Wanna race around the pitch?"

Emma beamed him a friendly smile. "It's okay.. That happens to me a lot too." she admitted. She forgot which houses her friend's girlfriend's/boyfriend's were in. "Awesome! I'm trying out for Chaser or Beater." she explained, still smiling. "Cool! I'm a third year. Oh you did? Wow, that must have been tough especially in your sixth year. How are you liking Hogwarts?" She noticed that he sighed deeply, which meant that he still missed his old school. Poor Hyun. She grinned back at him. "Sure, sounds like fun. Ready?" she asked as she floated higher into the air on her broom.

"Well maybe we will both be in the team as chasers. I was a beater back at Durmstrang for two years but i wanted something different, you know?" He hovered up and down slowly and frowned slightly. "To be honest, i was angry when i heard i was going to Hogwarts. I mean, at Durmstrang i kind of liked the dark arts subject." he quickly held his hands up in defence before the girl would fly away. "Not that i like cursing people, i need to have a reason , but i just wanted to know ..more"

Hyun grinned broadly when Emma agreed with the race. He followed her higher in to the air on his broom and heard her say , ready. "Get set" he said and without another warning he flew away with full speed , obviously cheating...but hey, hes a slytherin. "GO!" he shouted behind him.

"Maybe, it would be fun. Yep, I do. I've always played Seeker." she told him. She listened to him. Aww that was to bad. "Awww, yeah, I like DADA as well best subject apart from potions. I agree, DADA is pretty interesting. Do you know what you want to do when you graduate?" she asked, perhaps he had no idea or maybe he did.

WHAT? He flew out ahead. Cheater... Psh. She quickly caught up to him. "Excuse me, usually you let the girl go first." she added with a wink. She was so not going to let him win.

Try-outs were over, The roster was turned in and Practices were going to start very soon.

Jacob had to push away all his homework, and take advantage of the few days he had for himself. Jacob had his broom, there was no wistle, no clipboard, no judging abilities, and hopefully no one to bother him with Quidditch question. It was just him and the sky.

He felt the Pitch grass beneath his feet, now, he was finally home.

Jacob mounted his broom, and with the smallest push, he burst off the ground like a bullet, at a 90 degree angle, he quickly climbed in altitude.

His Speed was slowly deteriating, and when he was far off the ground, the broom stopped and simply hung there. The only thing keeping him up were 2foot stands, some would call it unsafe... Jacob called it freedom. It calmed him, it was the place in this school where he actually belong and felt accepted.

After a few deep breathes, he pushed the handle, and went exactly oppostite. Jacob went into a very fast dive. It was like Jacob and the ground playing 'Chicken'.

But 10 feet off the ground Jacob was the one to pull out... the ground always won. And those dumb enough to try other wise wouldn't live to tell.

Jacob pulled back up, and now settled the broom between the highest point he had reached and the ground.

Tay pulled back her blonde curls into a tight ponytail and waited for Katie to arrive- she looked around and breathed in the fresh air- she was so proud to get onto the team, even if she was only a reserve, it was still a big thing for her! She pulled on her gloves and paced a bit, getting ready to get on her broom.

Beater!Katie, thats right, Katie was the new beater for the Slytherin quidditch team, and she was exited, because she was confident that Slytherin was going to win the quidditch cup this year, because they had Katie, and even if Katie was sick that day, they had thy awesome Tay to back her up, Katie stood next to Tay and smiled "Hey Tay, congrats on making the team" She said waving her hand that had her ring on, still placed in the same place that Lukey had placed it, on her ring finger.

"Thanks hun! You too- you've got a much better job though!" Tay giggled, smiling at Katie and then noticing her ring- her eyes widened and she smiled widely- "I see you've joined the club!" she laughed, holding up her own engagement ring-ed hand and giggling excitedly- "Is it an engagement ring? Or just a promise ring?" she asked her friend kindly, pushing some loose curls from her face and hovering her broom.

Katie smiled, "Your welcome and thank you! And no thats not true, if someone was sick, then you get to take someones place, so without you we would be a player short and that would be bad" Katie giggled as she continued to listen to what Tay had to say, it looks like they both had rings now, yay! "Just a promise ring, isn't it beautiful?" Katie said as she kicked off the ground to join Tay in the air, she loved her ring, and Tays of course.

Alex walked out on the pitch with a huge grin on his face. How could he not smile he would be taking his broom for a ride! Or rather, his broom would take him for a ride... Strolling out on the pitch he looked around him, perhaps he would run into one of the team members or one of his friends? He didn't mind though, he was so ninja he would fly around with anyone. Although Justin Hendricks, Alex don't like you very much... *eyes you*

Selina tightly held the broom from the broomshed in her tiny fist. The colder air of the season flew against her face and fought with her hair. It flew all about and seemed to try to blow it away like a scrap if paper in the wind. But Selina's hair was there to stay. In the process of being defiant to the elements her red hair was blowing in patterns that fit the dance of the air.

Finally having enough Selina pulled her red hair back in a tight bun. Her light blue eyes had something like a sparkle in them as she mounted the broom. Her greatest thrill in life was riding a broom. Her greatest peace in life was riding a broom. And today was a little of both. It was official that she could do what she loved now- her name was on the parchment.

In the blink of an eye she was off. Soaring through the air and flying as high as she could until succumbing to the forces of gravity and zooming back downward. It was magical no doubt, flying.

Jacob landed letting the bludger loose for now.

He dismounted the broom, and waited for the others to land, so he could check that they were all alright... hopefully the crack was nothing major... but he never heard a arm crack that loud if it wasn't broken.

Emily landed on the pitch with a soft thud, and took a few steps forward to stand beside Jacob...
"Hope it's not too serious", she said in a small voice. Though it sounded quite bad when they were in the air.

Amadeus landed swiftly, waiting for Vashti to land to see if she wasn't hurt too badly. "Maybe I did go a little rough, today," He chuckled lowly and uncomfortably, scratching the back of his neck nervously while he waited for the injured member of the team to land. He swung his beaters bat around in one hand fretfully.

Vashti didn't know what had happened - one moment she'd had the Quaffle and was ready to pass it to Emily, the next she didn't have the Quaffle and her arm hurt. Bad. She nearly fell off her broom as well from the impact and pain but had the presence of mind to grip her broom with her uninjured arm instead of focusing only on the other. Save that for when she actually reached the ground so she wouldn't have any further and possibly worse injuries.

It took a few seconds longer than usual for her to land, but she managed and tried not to look too pained. She probably wasn't successful at that though, as she didn't often break her arm and so she didn't have any practice with tolerating this kind of pain.

She held her injured arm against her body with her other arm. "I guess...I should get to the hospital wing, right...?" she said in a small, trembly sort of voice when she reached her teammates.

That was it: he had done it. Never had the seventh year intended to hurt anyone when he became competitive, whether it was in class or on the playing field. "I'm really, truly sorry, Vashti," He apologized embarrassingly, walking towards her like a sorry puppy. First the debacle during the paint fight, now this? It seemed like Merlin didn't want them to have a friendly relationship after all. "But yes, medical attention would be the most prudent thing."

Emily's face went white... poor Vashti, and to think it could have been her.. what with the way Amadeus was playing. She shook her head to herself. This was horrible.
"Yes, get up to the hospital wing asap"...."Im sure Healer Moretti will be able to fix it easily," she said trying to reassure Vashti.

Vashti looked up when Deus spoke. How ironic - or maybe not - that it would have been him who hit that Bludger. Perhaps this was payback for that whole paint war thing, though probably unintentionally so since he was apologizing. Karma, then? Still seemed kind of extreme if that was the case, considering she hadn't actually hurt him in the paint war. Except maybe his pride and/or ego.

Eh, whatever. She was just going to chalk it up to bad luck. She'd had a lot of that this past year.

"It's okay," she told him. "It's not like you did it on purpose..."

Vashti looked over at Emily, and seeing how upset she looked, she tried to smile, though it came off as more of a grimace so she probably shouldn't've tried. "I hope so... Otherwise I might not be able to play in the game against Hufflepuff..." And that would majorly depress her.

Jacob said nothing to Deus or Emily, and when Vashti landed he examined her arm without touching it.

He then turned to Deus. "She's your teammate... we don't need this! You need to save that energy for the Puff's!" Jacob took a breath, and tried ti calm himself. "You broke her arm, you take her to the Hospital wing." he pointed them to the castle. "I'll be there after I finish cleaning up." He looked up at the darkening sky before turning to Emily. "Get changed and go back to the common room. I don't want to get in trouble, for having you guys out of bed after curfew." he said.

Great... another trip to Miss nurse, who though he was completely insane.

Jacob Quickly took off to gather the bludger.

Emily nodded. She really wanted to go to the Hospital Wing with Vashti, but knew she should just go back to the common room. After giving Vashti a small encouraging smile she turned to Deus.
"You better look after her", she said protectively.

Emily went back to the lockerrooms to get changed then headed back up to the castle. She had her fingers crossed.
