"I went to New York with my sis when she moved over there. It's nice, but I love muggle London, better." She had been to the muggle part of London a few times. She loved all the lights of both cities. "I probably won't get to see my brother though he works in the remoteness parts of Tawian."

"I'd love to come!" She told him. She thought that she kind of understood what he was talking about, she was sure the he would tell anyway when the time was right.

"Well.... " she started "My dad, died a few years ago" she said it short and simply. She didn't make a big deal out of it. It was just something he should know about her and it didn't come up during the time they were getting to know each other. "I just thought you should know."

"That sounds like fun." Carter said. Being muggleborn he knew all about muggle lights, he even knew his way around London pretty well. "You know, maybe I can sneak you off into muggle London sometime over the summer." he suggested. She could tell her family she was off to Diagon Alley and then they could sneak off to all the fun little tourist places.

"Oh." Carter said a little surprised. That wasn't what he expected to hear. The way she worded it made it sound like there was something horribly wrong. Like she killed someone or something.

"I'm sorry to hear that." he said. "I had a good friend die a few years back." he said. It wasn't quite the same, but it was really the only thing that he had to relate. The friend almost became a brother to him, but he passed away before that was legally the case.

Caroline smiled. "I think that would be great." She said, she was used to sneaking off and out of the house to go and to find out about the muggle world, because her mother sure would take her or let her go. Somehow she had a feeling that she may be with Carter a good part of the summer holiday. Which would be fine with her.

She smiled slightly. "It's ok. I'm sorry about your friend." She hated that he had lost someone that he seem close too. It was hard no matter who it was that died. The pain is the same, but the pain goes away, or lessens after while, but life gets better.

She sat and let the wind blow though her hair. She did miss her dad, sometimes. It was hard to explain."So is that all the football practce today? or is there anything else I should know" About football or him.

Elliot practically running from the Slytherin common room towards the playing fields with a football ball in his arm.

He already knew form the beginning of the term but he didn't have a time to actually visited the fields and now its the perfect time to try the fields and played some football there.

As soon as he arrived, he changed his shoes into football shoes and began dribbling the ball. It has been a very long time since he played football. This reminding him so much of his muggle friends who taught him this sport and come think of it he hadn't had a chance to visit them again. Maybe he could go to visit them this summer. That would be great.

"Oh, no, it's fine. I'm sure it was for the best." Carter said slowly. It was true, his friend was Brazilian and probably wouldn't adapt to England very well. Plus, his whole family had past away. At least now Carter knew he was once again with his family.

Carter looked down at his watch. "I think we can call it a day." he said. "I've got some homework to get done before practice too." he said. It was a lame, but true excuse. It was too bad they weren't in the same house, then he wouldn't have to worry about making time to see her.

"Shall I walk you back to your common room?" he asked.

Caroline nodded it was getting later in the afternoon an getting a little chilly in the air. "Alright, I've promised a friend that I would help her with her homework later, and I have my homework to work on, too!" She was a little tired still. She also had some homework to do, and she'd promised a friend that she would help her on some homework. This was something different, most of her friends were in her house and the got to spend alot of time with them it the common room,

"Sure." She said with smile. She stood up and strenched. She was getting to old to sit on the gound. Okay not really, but it was good to get up. She waited on Carter to stand up. "To the dungeons?" she grinned.

Carter stood up and shook the stray grass off his clothes. "To the dungeons." he repeated taking her hand with his. This was nice. It was really nice actually.

He smiled.

It was sad that they'd have to say goodbye for now, but it was something they'd have to get used to. It was one of the results of being in two different houses.

Dan was walking towards the playing fields. He saw a guy sprint past him with a football. He loved football. He was the best player at his old muggle school.

"Hey! Mind if I join you and the football?" He asked smiling

"Ok" Emily nodded. Just try again.
She started to kick the ball and run, trying to keep it as close to her as possible. Sometimes she would accidently kick the ball far away and have to run after it, but she was eventually gatting the hang of keeping the ball close to her.
"Now let's see you try!" she shouted, kicking the ball to Nika.

Elliot looked up when he heard someone was approaching him. "No. Not at all." he said. "Beside I have been looking for someone to play with me its not really fitting playing football by myself." he chuckled. "Oh I'm Elliot by the way. Elliot Humphrey." he said.

"That's it good job! Keep going! You got this!" Nika yelled out encouraging phrases as Emily ran with the ball. "Wow Em, your really improving!" Nika stopped the ball in front of her with her feet. She gladly accepted the challenge. Nika weaved in and out past a couple of other students. She ran around a lot of the field keeping the ball controlled with her feet. She kicked the ball up in the air and towards Emily. Seeing the ball land in front of her she ran back to her friend. "So, what do you say should we keep going or call it a day?"

Kurumi needed something to keep her mind of things, and for some reason baking was just not providing her with escape that it always did. The only other thing that helped her relieve her stress was kendo, but, seeing as she couldn't bring her kendo sword and equipment to Hogwarts, she would have to do the next best thing - conditioning. Wearing the pink tracksuit Takashi had bought her last year for her birthday, Kurumi began jogging around the playing field...one lap...two laps...until jogging became too simple and she took off at a sprint.

Adam went down to the playing field to catch some fresh air. The common room seemed to be teeming with students and the already red and stuffy room was becoming more hot by the second.

He sighed deeply as he saw the practice pitch a distance away, it was all bittersweet, but he let those thoughts fly out his head.Instead he watched someone running at a sprint, wearing a pink track suit.

"A bit Usan Bolt...Don't you say..."Adam said to himself, chuckling watching the track athlete.

"Hey...Nice costume..."Adam called out to the girl, wolf whistling her from afar.

Kurumi slowed down her sprint to a jog and eventually a slow walk when she heard some jerk whistle at her. Ceasing all movement after strenuous exercise could lead to tears in muscle tissue after all.

Using the towel that was hanging around her neck to wipe away some of the sweat from her brow, Kurumi tried to see who it was that had been so primeval in his thinking. She couldn't really tell who it was from where she stood, but she was in no mood to have someone try and distract her from...distracting herself.

Throwing her towel around her neck again, she marched over to the boy and stopped when she was a few feet away. "Adam?"

Adam scurried off the bench, all flustered in the face, hands moving up and down in a apologetic manner.

"Oh my gosh...Kurumi...I'm so sorry...I never realized it was you..I mean...I don't do that with other girls...I mean...Yeah...I'm not doing anything wrong, I was encouraging you to do your best."He said , going off in all directions hoping Kurumi would realize Adam had treated her a bit rudely, vulgar, like a big stinkin' jerk.

Kurumi folded her arms across her chest. He didn't realize it was her? Didn't do it with other girls? Somehow, those two excuses seemed to contradict one another. Thankfully, for Adam at least, Kurumi was not in any mood to argue or confront anyone. She just wanted to...run...

"Apology accepted," she said firmly nodding her head finally softening her expression a bit. "What are you doing here?"

"Going back in time...Thinking I could've been here a few times a week practicing with my Quidditch team...Anyways...Are you starting a new healthy diet , excerise routine?"He asked her.

Normally, his comment would've landed him a very nasty little fight, but today Kurumi seemed to not want to say anything to his remarks. Something was off with her, but what?

"You still could practice flying you know," she said with a half-hearted smile. "I am sure if you ask Professor Vindictus for a broom he would be more than willing to let you." Kurumi shivered for a moment. That professor seemed a bit off recently.

"Not...exactly," she said using her towel again. "Just trying to keep my mind off some things."

"I actually have a broom. I had bought one in Diagon Alley with the intention of using it for Practice..."He said a bit quietly."But it's not the same. I want real sped and danger the Wizard game gives us, you know?"He explained his reason to not even think about coming to practice down here.

"Oh, what's that?"He asked, patting the bench for her to sit on next to him.

While Adam's sense of adventure was the reason he was leaving, Kurumi couldn't help but admire it seeing that she was as adventurous as a mouse.

She smiled weakly as she took a seat on the bench next to him. "Family stuff," she frowned. "I...I've hit a dead end in terms of what I can research in the library."

"Wow your good!" Emily smiled as she watched Nika kick the ball. "Hope I'll be able to be as good as you!" She put her foot on the ball as Nika ran over.
"What? No way! I'm only just starting to improve!" she kicked the ball up in the air and tried to header it, but missed.
"I meant to do that." she said quickly, running to get the ball.
"So, want to continue? Unless your threatened by my awesome skills!" she laughed and raised an eyebrow. She was sure they were there, they just... had to come out now...

"Oh what have you been researching?"He asked, sitting up more straight, showing her he truly was intrigued, and well rather hurt.

So he wasn't the smartest bulb, and he didn't provide much knowledge to her, rather he confused himself even more over her family preoccupations, but he could provide comic relief. He realized that last time, when she had given up all hope he'd crack a joke or tell her to keep on going and she found that strength once again.

Nika couldn't help but laugh when Emily missed the ball. "Sure you did Emily, surrree you did." Nika raised her eyebrows. "Oh yeah sure let's continue. I just thought maybe you were getting tired."

"Anything related to my father," she sighed leaning back and looking up at the sky. "I've been going through old Daily Prophets to see if I could find any news paper articles about his...death." She looked over at Adam and smiled softly.

"Death?"Adam blurted out a bit confused.

But she had always, ever since last year, had spoken highly of her beloved father. Or was that just memories she had of him when she was really young? Or was it a figment of her imagination, a fake memory placed into her eyes, making her believe the man she was talking to was her father.

"But you've always said he's alive?"He asked.
