Kelley walked to the pathways, feeling overwhelmed with happiness at being at such a great school, and sadness for missing her parents and all her friends back home in the States. But, no doubt this would become her home soon and she would make many other friends..... right? She was only eleven. And she would be spending seven years here, so there would be many opportunities to meet someone new.

As she was thinking, Kelley tripped clumsily over her own feet and landed right in a puddle. "Aaaauuuuggghhh!!" She yelled loudly, struggling to her feet and blushing at her unnecessary volume. Hopefully nobody had seen that. If only she knew a drying charm. to get rid of all evidence that she had just made a complete fool out of herself. Her eyes darted around the scene, observing other students. Well... none of them seemed like they had seen her....

Sebastian walked into the Pathways, pacing back and forth, while eating his apple. It seemed like apples were his favorite fruit...more like favorite food really, he always seemed to have one. He had his muggle iPod in his ears, blasting along as he paced back and forth. He was waiting for one of his friends to come and run around the castle with him. He had to keep in shape of course. This was Sebastian Giordano we're talking about here.

"Do not worry, I used to do that all the time" Rex told her. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to her. "Are you ok? Rex asked her.

Kelley blushed. Someone had seen her. Well, at least she wasn't the only clumsy one around here. "Hi, Rex," she said, "Yeah I'm fine. My name is Kelley, by the way. Kelley Lucien. I just transferred here today from the United States." She brushed the long, dark hair from her pretty, youthful face.

Emma, who was dressed in shorts and a light green tee shirt, was ready for a run. She needed to go on one. Want to keep fit right or fit into her new swimsuit. The blonde ran down the Pathways and saw Sel's Tall Person eating an apple. It was Sebastian. "HEY SEBASTIAN!" she hollered as she walked over. "How are you?"

" Hi Kelley" Rex smiled. "Where in the United states?" Rex asked Kelley in his Texas drawl. "Can you at least guess what state I come from in the United states?" Rex asked Kelley.

"Let me guess..... Texas." Kelley said with a laugh. Rex sure was easy to talk to. "I'm from up near Boston," she said, "But, as you can tell, I don't really have an accent...."

Elle laughed. "Okay thanks. I'll just sit around here and read."

good guess, I am from SweetWater, Texas" Rex told Kelley. " I transferred to HogWarts in my fourth uear and now am graduating" Rex said to Kelley. " Sorry, but any body from or near Boston has an accent,expecially to us Texans, mam" Rex explained to Kelley. "So how do you like HogWarts so far?" Rex asked Kelley.

" I have an idea, you can be the judge" Rex told Elle. " You can only judge me if you choose to judge" Rex said to Elle." Oh yes, the avic resder" Rex smiled.

Hmm, she needed some fresh air right now. What with the end of the school year coming up, she was beginning to find herself more and more inside in the common room then outside like she used to be. Besides, with the weather turning to Spring, she figured the flowers would be blooming and leaves starting to grow back to their brilliant green.

She just wished the weather would be a little more nice. Why must Spring still be cold? True, she didn't have to wear her larger jackets, but she still had to wear her gloves and scarf. Meh. At least it wasn't snowing or raining right now though so she could enjoy the few minutes outside.

"Avid reader?" Elle laughed. "Okay, sure, I'd like to. Besides, I don't have anything else to do today aside from read!"

Patroclus had missed sunshine.

Since the start of winter the weak sun that had struggled to show it's face, had been a pathetic attempt at warmth, but now the seasons had changed, Spring had sprung, and to Patroclus that meant shorts!

After carefully selecting a pair of shorts that could easily go with a nice light cardigan, the Lion Prefect headed out into the grounds. It was in no way hot, nor was it freezing, it was bearable. Deciding that staying close to the castle would be a good thing, Patroclus started down one of the may pathways that wrapped around the school.

Seeing that he was not the only person on this path, the LionBoy slowed his steps, no one liked someone walking up fast behind them. However the swing brown hair of the girl before him, was familiar, very familiar.

"EVELYN!"

No sooner had his shout left his mouth, Patroclus dived behind a tree, completely hidden from view.

"I guess that's true," said Kelley with a laugh, "I just meant I don't have a Boston accent like most people from Boston."

"I love Hogwarts so far, it's very comfortable here," she answered to Rex's question.

" Sure, you do not have anything else to do except read today" Rex agreed with Elle." Of course, I will do my dancing with Witsy" Rex told Elle."Do you have any books or subjects in books that you do not like at all?" rex asked Elle.

" You really do not have that much of a Boston accent" Rex agreed with Kelley. " I am glad you love HogWarts" Rex told Kelley. " Have you gone to classes?" Rex asked Kelley.

"Not yet," said Kelley. "What's the best class?" She asked curiously. She needed to get going to some classes if she wanted to learn magic successfully.

" I think Charms. Potions and History of Magic classes" Rex told Kelley." So do you play Quidditch?" Rex asked Kelley.

Christopher wandered aimlessly through the pathways. He wasn't really sure where he was going, but he didn't really care, or even notice it for that matter. He just knew he had a lot on his mind and wanted to take a walk to relieve some of his stress. He stared around at everyone talking, and it made him feel much worse. Anytime he saw people laughing and smiling, his heart sunk into his stomach. He could be doing that right now, but he guessed he couldn't do much about it now. He leaned back on a bench somewhere and closed his eyes, hoping to get his mind off of things, as his walk hadn't been helping him much at all.

Kicking a small rock as she slowly walked the pathways, the Slytherin took in the picture perfect nature scenery, just enjoying the moment. That is, until her name being shouted behind her.

WHAT!?

Whoever it was, this had to be important, killing her patient and calm mood. Stopping where she was, the girl heaved a sigh as she glanced over her shoulder to STARE at whoever it was. Yet right now, she was STARING at nothing. Meep? Frowning, she turned her body halfway to the way she previously came, searching for whoever it was. She knew she didn’t imagine it. Right? RIGHT?

If this was some firstie playing a joke on her, well then the joke was on them. She was rather good with hexes. "WHAT!?" she called out, gaze scanning the area. Hmm, come out come out whoever you aaaaree....

His plan was working beautifully!

Rubbing his hands together, Patroclus prepared for the next section of his cunning scheme. Reach up into the tree behind which he had hid, the LionBoy grabbed onto a branch, and then swung one leg up onto a low branch, and was in the act of moving the next when.

With no legs on the ground, and all this weight on the tree, it seemed that the tree had decided it did want Patroclus to hide in it's canopy, "Owww" The boy had fallen straight onto his behind, which was now hurt just a little, and was covered with dirt and leaves.

So classly!

"Yea, I am quite interested in Potions and Charms... I think Transfiguration sounds great, too.... very fascinating," Kelley said with a nod and a smile. "No, I don't play Quidditch," she told Rex. "Ever since I got injured a few years ago while flying at home, I haven't been on a broom."

Hmm, silence. That was both a good and terrible sign. For one, that meant there could possibly have been no one there and she was just imagining things, and two, it has now killed her good mood. Thanks imaginary voices. Just...thanks. It was probably all the studying. Yea, yea that was it. She needed breaks more often.

Hesitantly turning away so she could finish her walk, her eyes widened in surprise at the sudden loud CRACK that reached her ears. Enough to cause her to have her wand in her hand before anything else could happen. SHE WAS UNDER ATTAAACK!

Or not.

And the Gryffindor Lemur Boy has been revealed! "Patroclus?" she asked, placing her hands on her hips, staring at him. "What are you doing?" Yes, WHY was he on the ground getting his clothes dirty?

Oh no! His excellent plan was foiled!

I shake my fist at ye tree, you have given me away one too many times!

"Well I was trying to surprise you!" Patroclus laughed, as small amount of red creeping into his face, "But it seems you have all the trees trained to give away all secret attacks!"

It was something Evelyn would so totally do; she was the epitomy of constant vigilance! Perhaps that why she was so smart, the trees stole the answers from the teachers brains and gave them to her.....or maybe the fall from the tree had adled Patroclus' head, because his thoughts were making no sense what so ever!

"So how are you?"

Patroclus had really missed this one, they were still besties, but he hadn't spoken to her about stuff for a while, so he was rather happy he had bumped into her!

Good Merlin, surprise her? He gave her a heart attack! "Yes, didn't you know?" she chuckled, putting her wand back in her wrist holster. "It's why I'm out here in the first place. Tree recruiting." It's the next biggest thing in the wizarding world. Who needs quidditch when you can have a tree friend!

Smiling, her shoulders shaking a little from laughing, the girl settled down a little before shrugging her shoulders. "I've been fine I suppose." she said, not really in the most happiest of tones yet not down right depressed either. This year could have been better in her opinion but it was alright.

Hmmm.

"Do you need help up?" Yes? Reaching over, she held out her hand to help the Prefect off the dirty ground. Light clothes were the easiest to stain! And...hehe. Those were some nice shorts he had on. He wore them nicely.

Nika skipped around in the pathways. She was in search of someone to talk to, something to do, anything! Nika looked around and saw a couple of her friends already immersed in conversation. Nika's smile started to fade seeing that they were all busy. She wandered around looking for someone to talk to. She noticed a Gryffindor boy leaning on a bench and she couldn't help, but run up to him and say hi. "Hey there! I'm Nika-." She stopped after noticing that he was resting. Oops. "Oh sorry. I didn't mean to bother you."

Just as he was finally reaching a moment of peace, a faraway voice brought him back to the present. He jolted upwards, not realizing he'd been spacing out. He looked over to see a small girl he'd seen before talking to his sister in the Gryffindor Common room run up to him and start rapidly introducing herself. "Huh? Oh erm, no, no, you're just fine. Nice to meet you, Nika, by the way. I'm Christopher. Christopher James." He smiled and held out his hand to shake hers. Yeah, he was a bit formal, but hey, it was just how he was.
