Hearing her quick and defensive response he raised an eyebrow at TJ only to have it come back on him. "What was I going to teach you again? Because I will be more than happy to follow through," he responded with a smirk.

"Exactly you weren't paying any attention to your surroundings," he stood up and moved beside her. "You have to pay attention constantly," he started making a circle around her. "Because you can't trust that anyone else is paying attention." That he learned from Miles' little babysitter.

Her own eyebrow lifting a smirk definitely noticeable on her face at his comment. Now that she highly doubted. "Really? Well it was somewhere along the lines of showing me kissing can be fun." Turning fully to see his reaction to that, her smirk definitely there as she watched him.

Oh crap! she thought as he stood up moving towards her she relaxed when he spoke again. Breathing out slowly, she shook her head at his words, "So in other words make sure not to windowshop when you're around?"

"Rea...." Crap that had been what they were talking about before Lexi walked up that afternoon wasn't it. Recovering swiftly he wiped the surprised look from his face and replaced it with a smirk. "Oh well now that I can definitely teach," he whispered teasingly. Especially now that he was definitely single and not in a pseudo relationship.

He smiled at her question and moved in front of her again. "Well not necessarily. It could have been anyone there it just happened to be me and aren't you glad for that because then you wouldn't have met me," he said teasingly.

Ah ha! she'd caught him. Oh crap... Maybe not. "Oh really. And what would your girlfriend say about something like that?" she asked raising her eyebrow. One of those girls who'd been around during the tea party thing had to have been her. Right?

Was he trying to make her dizzy? She wondered as he moved around her again stopping in front of her finally. Mhmmmm met the one person who wouldn't tell her where that fantastic smelling pretzel came from. Her eyebrow lifting she shook her head a smile appearing, "I can honestly say it's not been mindlessly boring when you're around."

"Well, if I had one I'm sure she'd object but since I don't...." he trailed off with a smirk. Yeah try backing out of that one. Crossing his arms in a challenging way in front of him curious to see what she would do next.

Seeing the smile on her face he smiled himself, "See always a plus side with me around. Keep life interesting." He watched her and then looked at the shoe now on her foot. "You should really get out of those socks and shoes. Need me to walk you back to the castle? Don't want you to step in any more mud puddles do we."

Her eyebrow lifting, she wondered if he was serious or just hiding the fact he did. It was certainly hard to read him some times. She never knew whether to take him seriously, and that drove her nuts! Darn it, she couldn't keep the flush from appearing on her face.

"That's an understatement" she said softly, the smile twitching a little at his offer. Trying to get away, yep, she knew he was just teasing again, or trying to get to her again, just to irk her. Stepping closer she smirked and shook her head, "No need to worry, I think I'll be watching my steps."

Though she wouldn't mind the company, unless the teasing was to continue...

Ivan watched as TJ raised her eyebrow but he saw her blush as well and it made him smirk. Was she considering the offer? Interesting. He smiled and gave her a nonchalant shrug, "Glad I can appease you."

As she took a step toward him he watched her curiously. What was she doing? "Well then allow me to escort you," he said smoothly with a smirk as he held out his arm. "And I was being honest before. There's no girlfriend," he said with a wink.

Oh, he so made her want to giggle, she couldn't help it! It was like one minute he drove her nuts with the teasing and the shoe thing, and the next she just did not know about him at all.

"All right." she said taking his arm a smirk on her face again. Wait, what was he trying to say? Now that was something that just made her eyes shine with laughter. That was just as obsurd as him thinking she should watch who she windowshopped around, incase they aimed to step on her shoes. Naw, he was just teasing her again.

"Well erm, that's good then. Or bad?" darn it he had her stumped again. She had no wish to find a guy, she had more then enough brothers to deal with then to have a boyfriend as well. Why did he think she hadn't kissed anyone? "So erm, you ready to take your OWL's yet?"

Smiling as she took his arm he started walking her back to the castle making sure not to step in any mud puddles because he most certainly didn't want mud on his shoes. Hearing her comment followed by a question he smirked. Was that a mistake? Did she want to kiss him? Hmmm. "Well now that would depend on my mood. Gets awful lonely being by myself."

He carefully stepped over a puddle and shrugged, "I suppose. Not really a big deal for me." Nope no matter what he scored it wouldn't matter. "You?"

She noticed his smile out of the corner of her eye. She nodded as he spoke, she could certainly understand that. "Not having had a boyfriend I can't truely imagine being lonely in that way, but I guess it would. There's lots of gi...I mean, people to hang with though." She was sure there'd be plenty of girls who wouldn't mind being his girlfriend. Her face turned pink at that comment and her thoughts.

Barely missing the puddle he stepped over, she nearly groaned aloud. Yep can't talk and walk at the same time either. "I don't think it'll be." Changing the subject away from boyfriend/girlfriend and kissing? Yep definitely.

As Bowie returned yet again to drop his new rock toy at her feet, Renée smiled a little to herself before kicking it again, a bit harder than the last time. She could still keep an eye on him with her peripheral vision while she had her conversation with Jared. It helped that the puppy always seemed to come back. But as she'd had the thoughts about her pet, she realized Jared had sort of been watching her, and she turned her grin to him. "No pets yet?," she asked, even though she was fairly sure she would have heard if he'd gotten one. That brought to mind the thought of what exactly he would want to have as a pet, and the earlier teasing conversations about that very topic.

She shrugged a shoulder lightly at his response to her random observation, but returned his grin at the same time. "Only one concept can be a virtue?," she asked facetiously, before going back to the amusing thoughts about how far it seemed Rae's infatuation with him had gone. She hadn't really seen the Slytherin girl a lot herself lately, so she wondered if the opinion of herself had gotten just as strong. It wasn't really important, though. Just entertaining, and she laughed as he spoke, trying to guess her way of knowing things. "That depends on what you consider an Inner Eye," she replied. In her mind, that inferred a Seer, and she was anything but. As she'd told Selina during their talk. But she definitely had ways of getting insight into things. "I can't say I used anything other than simple observation, and powers of deduction, this time, however." That was the truth. It wasn't exactly like Rae hadn't been obvious about her crush, although it seemed Jared hadn't noticed. "I'd be more concerned if the thought itself had actually been followed up by action," she pointed out, before a wry grin crept onto her face. "You really hadn't known about that?," she asked, feeling the urge to tease him a little again. Big scary Charms professor could face manticores and so on, but a teenage crush scared and surprised him. Couldn't say that didn't reveal layers, she thought only half facetiously.

But then it seemed the conversation had moved on to the hypothetical idea of her going after him for animal cursing, and she grinned again. "True. But then, that just means we have to be careful nothing ever happens to warrant a situation like that. Maybe we'll just have to come up with other topics for entertaining missives." As if that was a new mission. With what she'd heard of his family, she doubted he worried about whether or not he had a lot of news. It would be an interesting concept, though. There was still that Divination lesson, at least. That had the possibility for amusing stories.

Wait? Hold on there... She had NEVER had a boyfriend? Interesting. He never thought he'd meet a girl his age who still hadn't dated anyone. "Oh yeah sure, but it's not the same." He gave her a smirk as he kept up the pace not missing her near encounter with yet another puddle. Yup the girl definitely needed to pay more attention.

"I'm not really bothered about them. Not like it will matter any how I do on the tests." Nope. He had no desire to actually get a job and didn't need to so why should he. Finally reaching the stone he smiled "I think you're safe now from those evil mud puddles so you can pay less attention now," he said teasingly.

She really didn't understand what the big deal was about having to have a boyfriend. She had older 4 brothers and that was quite enough to set anyone to decide to be happy with friends rather then doing that relationship thingy. "It's not? Well there is the snogging I suppose." A smirk appearing again she rolled her eyes. And people couldn't live without that of course!

Her eyebrow lifting, she pretty much felt the same way. Her papa would be more then happy to help her get a job if she ever wanted to. That was a big if too. He always did whatever she asked or gave her whatever she wanted, so she found a job just plain...well boring. It was the very fact that she wanted to do better then most on the OWL's and NEWT's even that she could brag about how many she earned, more then anything.

Sticking out her tongue at him, she laughed lightly. "Nah, there'll just be something else for me to trip on that's all."

"Well that's not the ONLY thing," he said seeing the rolling of her eyes. "But it is fun. Maybe if you're nice I'll show you," he said continuing to tease her. He just thoroughly enjoyed messing with her and had from the time they met in Diagon Alley.

He smiled as she laughed and shook his head, "Well if you trip I'll catch you." Or she'd pull him down with her since she had his arm." He smirked and then looked at her, "So why don't you want a boyfriend?" That had to be it right because she was cute enough to have one if she wanted.

Smirking she shook her head, he wouldn't dare and she knew it. He just loved teasing her, why else would be do it? She'd talked to lots of boys here at the school and Ivan seemed to be the only one who thought teasing was necessary in her case. "Mhmm." she replied the smirk still on her face, her eyebrow lifting as she glanced over at him at his next comment. "I've heard that before." she added teasing him back.

"My hero!" she said brightly a giggle escaping. She couldn't help it, it felt like that's what he was out to do that was for sure. "Just find the boys a nuisance, the ones I've seen so far anyway. Live with 4 older ones already. And so far none I've met have been any different."

She didn't think he would do it did she. Well he'll have to show her but he'd do it when she didn't expect it. "Well this time I mean it," he said right back with a smirk. Yup she'd either cave or ask him to prove it.

He grinned at her and put is other arm on his hip puffing out his chest, "That's me!!" He laughed and almost tripped as he wasn't paying attentiont his time. Hearing her comment though he pretended to pout, "Well so sorry you think I'm a nuisance." Considering she had been one of the boys she had met obviously.

"Really." Nope not quite believeable to her. But if he ended up would it be that bad? Probably not, she figured. Would she slap him, no very doubtfully but it might make her giggle more, from the surprise of it. She just couldn't...well yes with Ivan she could see him do it just to prove it or even to tease her.

Laughing again when he reacted to her comment, and even more when he nearly tripped. "Might need help yourself if you don't watch where you're going." Looking over at him as he spoke though she saw the pout but she couldn't help looking in his eyes where the laughter still appeared. "I guess I'm just so used to having brothers that I've never looked at a boy as anything but...well someone to chum with. You're really not a nuisance, now that I've gotten to know you a bit more."

Her eyes back on the stone path, she nibbled her bottom lip.

"Really," he said with a raised eyebrow. Hmph he will just have to show her then that he's a man of his word. Well...most of the time. Hmmm now the question was when.

"HAHAHA," he laughed sarcastically as he rolled his eyes and eyed his shoe to make sure it wasn't scuffed. They were expensive after all. "Ahh well I could see that. I don't have any siblings myself." Not to mention girls seemed to be drawn to him. Or well...did. Hmm. Better not analyze that too closely.

Noticing the raised eyebrow with the next glance she gave him, she had half a mind to just stop him and say prove it. But that would make her look silly. What was she gonna do if he did. Ugh, her head was starting to hurt.

"Maybe some day..." she drifted off into silence leaving the sentence hang. It was a thought though. She'd just really not put much into it. She knew as long as she was happy her papa would do whatever she said so, she didn't worry about her boyfriend being creamed by brothers 'cause papa would make them behave. It's just the teasing that would get to her. She got enough as it was!

"Got any prospects?" she asked curiously, before realizing what she just said. How about she just wave her hands and jump and down and say pick me?

Well she went from doubting him and probably not wanting any part of boys or his kissing to now some day. Interesting. Progress! Yes. "Me?" he asked taken off guard by her question. "I...um...no actually." Where had that question COME from?

He turned to look at her and regained his composure with a smirk. "So about me teaching you the joys of kissing." Yes regain the topic control. Taking a step toward her which drew them closer since he still had her arm he raised an eyebrow. Would she believe him this time or challenge him? He was kind of interested in finding out.

"I erm didn't mean anything by that." She replied blushing furiously, I was just erm thinking you shouldn't have an..." Open mouth, insert foot... "Nothing."

Her eyes widening in surprise, "teaching me..." she squeaked. Was he really serious? she wondered as he drew her closer. She was positive he was, and now she just seemed frozen, her face still slightly pink as she looked into his eyes. What was she supposed to say?

"Erm, what would step one be?" she whispered not daring to lift her voice even a little now.

Seeing her blush he simply raised an eyebrow. Sure she didn't. Pretending it didn't matter he waved it off and moved to the new topic at hand. He barely heard what she said but saw her eyes widen in surprise. HA he got her. Or...not.

He'd expected her to back away. Tell him no. Pretend she didn't know what he was talking about. What he hadn't expected was for her to ask him what would happen first in that almost inaudible whisper. Well you walked into it have to follow through. "Well I wouldn't say there are steps," he said bringing his hand up to stroke her cheek with a smirk. Might as well play it up if he was going to do this. "It's kind of something that just happens. More romantic that way."

Pfft whatever. Step one sweet talk the person. Done. Step two close the distance. He took a small step forward putting him most definitely in her personal space. "So I guess it's not really something to learn like a lecture but rather through practice..." he looked at her for a moment. Step three would be to give her an out but since he was so sure she was just so interested she couldn't back away. Leaning in he pressed his lips to hers softy lingering for a moment before pulling back.

As he stroked her cheek, she forced herself not to flinch away from the touch. "Something that just happens...romantic" she murmured. Her curiosity had definitely hit now. Romance she figured was for when you were older, being 16 she didn't think romance really happened yet, but she should have figured it played a part anyway.

She nearly burst out giggling when he said learning it through practice. She really was close to laughing when he leaned in and kissed her. Her eyes now wide in surprise, a smile appeared before he pulled back fully. She couldn't help it, it just seemed funny to her!

"That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." she said softly with laughter in her voice. "I guess I do need practice, like I should do something when I'm kissed?"

The question of the decade. "Not yet," Jared said, his response for once a direct one. To be honest, he hadn't even given the matter much thought, since the disastrous Day of the Niffler. Her question did, however, remind him of a certain plan.

"No, but that one concept is used as part of that statement, more often than most others," he said, his smile light. The Inner Eye? "I consider it scarce," he grinned, his remark more a joke than serious, really, even if it did happen to be true. Seers, at least actual seers and not fakes, had a tendency to be rare. Not a bad thing either, especially given certain other things. He'd rather they remained scarce. "Might I say your powers of deduction have an advantage over most others'?" Even though he doubted she resorted to them that often, at least not for little thing such as this, the point remained. His tones said as much.

Her remark about the thought being followed up by action, caused him to shake his head and smile, a wry sort of smile. "You've just about convinced me to stay ten feet away from certain students, at all times." People thinking his hair might smell like candy was bad enough. "There wouldn't have been a chance for that thought to be made known to me, if I had." And her all-too teasing tones made him raise an eyebrow. "At least someone can derive a reason to be mirthful from all of this." Her mirth might be at his expense, but the thought did make him smile, even if a tad wryly.

"For some reason, I can't see that leading to a lot of good." The lazy grin had returned, though, and he seemed amused at the thought.

Looking at her he rolled his eyes. She was laughing!!!! Go figure. Girls.... "Yeah...you're supposed to kiss the person back. Hence why it takes two to kiss properly duh." Seriously she couldn't be that out of touch with reality.

Shaking his head he stepped back and continued walking. What was the point? Though she did admit it wasn't as bad as she thought it was. "So are we going inside?" Had they decided that? He couldn't remember anymore since he'd been so determined to mess with her.
