Jamie smiled and hugged the bear closer. "I really do love it." She looked up at the sky and sighed contently. "I never thought life here would be this good."

" Rex walked fast to catch up with Jamie. " I like walking and talking" Rex told Jamie. " Id that ok with you?" Rex asked Jamie.

" Yes, we will walk with Jamie" Rex told Rowan. "She is a fast walker" Rex said to Rowan.

Maisie walked along the pathways boredly. She was sure to remember where she was headed, she had, after all never been here before!

Eirian sighed as she walked along the pathways. She was going to meet Thiago, who would ultimately be rejecting her. Wouldn't he? She wouldn't blame him... Unfortunately, that was what she was looking forward to today. At least seeing him would bring a smile to her face, warmth to her body numbed by the cold of the world she inhabited and her abandoned heart within. Stopping to stare at a flower blooming in the cold, Eiri spotted a girl who looked rather confused. Was that... Maisie? Yeah... they had talked before. Poor thing... "Maisie?" she called out, her accent thick as she shuddered in the cold. Merlin, why was Eirian even outside!?

"It's much nicer with you here," she said. "I'm glad you like the bear."

Rowan nodded her head as she picked up her pace. "Yes she is. I wonder if she has a destination in mind or if she is going nowhere fast," she grinned.

Jamie shrugged, "I don't mind at all." She really never talked much herself unless she was with Tyrone but she didn't mind listening.

"Well I'm glad I could make it great for you." Jamie smiled and said, "No I don't have a destination in mind. I just can't stand to be still for too long you know."

Kimber waited until Chad was standing beside her and then she headed off down the path. She shook out her arms a bit, attempting to literally shake off all the bad vibes coursing through her. "Thanks for this, by the way," she said, trying to smile. "I really just needed to get out of that castle." *sigh*

"Not a problem, Kimber," he smiled at her. "Now, what seems to be bothering you? Come. Hold my arm as we walk. Squeeze the heck out of it, if you need to," he offered, holding out an arm. "It is not like I need it. In fact, I prefer having one arm to do my job." In other words: take the darn arm, woman!

" I do not know if Jamie is going somewhere or nowhere fast" Rex laughed." I can keep up with Jamie" Rex said to Rowan.

Elle hummed "Stuck" by an old muggle band named Big Time Rush, as she strolled along the pathways leading to where Merlin's knows.

She was enjoying the sun. She sat on the railings and kept good balance.

Kimber looked at Chad and shook her head. "If you're trying to make me laugh, it won't work," she warned. Though there was the hint of a smile on her face. Oh who was she kidding? She wanted to squeeze the hell out of something. Why not Chad's arm?

With a side step closer, Kimber took a deep breath, held it, grabbed onto Chad's arm with one hand and then added the other for good measure. "I just want to be mad for awhile," she answered, trying not to grip him too hard.

" hi Elle" rex called out. Are you enjoying yourself?" Rex asked Elle." I know that song" Rex told Elle.

Cass walked down the path with her hands inside her pockets to shield them from the still cold wind, hopefully, in a few weeks it would become slightly warmer and she can stop wearing her heavy robes over her uniform.

Then as she reached the middle of the path, she noticed Elle sitting on the railing. She realized that she and Elle had never finished that boy-hunting for her...So, maybe this time is as good as another.

So she walked up to her and said with a smile "Hey Darling."

Yeaaaah, he saw that smile. Go on, Kimber. Just smile, darn it.

"Okay, be mad," he nodded, slowly walking through the pathways as she latched onto his arm. "Why do we want to be mad?"

This time Kimber honestly couldn't help but smile. Angry or not, he was going to let her stew in it and that was a relief.

"Argh! It's just this Lord Borr's party nonsense," she said, her voice full of contempt. "I think Ikenna's behind it somehow and I don't like it. I DON'T want my kids there without me."

Chad 'hmmmm'd and 'mhmm'd as Kimber explained what was wrong. "I understand...but are you sure it is not JUST because you do not like the students being there by themselves, and not that youuu were not invited," he asked, teasing a little. "But, no no, really. I do understand. I thought you did not like the kiddies though?"

Kimber gripped his arm harder. She still looked seething mad. "But why wasn't I invited?" she asked. "And why weren't you? Or half the staff for that matter?" It made NO sense.

She released her tight grip of his arm and gave him a frown. "Why would you say that, Chad?" she asked, sounding hurt. Of course she cared.

Chad shrugged. "I do not know. Personally, I do not care. Why do you care so much? It is just a silly little party."

He cringed a bit when he heard the hurt in her voice. "I am sorry, I am shmuck. How can I make it up to you?"

"I don't know," Kimber said, dropping her arms to her side. "It just feels... wrong," she whined. Oh to heck with the party anyways. Chad was right.

Kimber stopped walking and turned to face him. "You're not a shmuck, Chad. And there's nothing to make up for. I realize I give off that impression."

Chad turned to face her, sighing gently. He still felt like a shmuck.

"Kimber, regarde," he said, placing his hands on either side of her face. "They will be fine. If anything happens to any of them, especially your Gryffindors, I will go after them." He dropped his hands from her face and wrapped her arm around his, starting to walk again. "Plus, you are caring about them. They must be growing on you," he grinned.

Kimber chewed her bottom lip nervously. "Promise?" she said softly. Like it or not she just couldn't shake her unease.

She smiled as they started back down the path and gave him an almost playful glare. "Don't tease me, Chad," she said. "And don't tell anyone else," she whispered. It would be bad for her image.

"I promise," he nodded. "And, I am not teasing. However, I am not sure if I can keep it a secret..." Chad turned his head to grin at her. "Come on, ease up. They will be fine. Do you trust me?"

"Oh, hey Rex! Big Time Rush? Yeah, I know it's an old muggle band, but I like it," she smiled as she waved 'hello' to her friend.

"So what brings you here, Mr. Rex?" She laughed.

"Hey Cass," she smiled. "Sit here with me," she tapped the space beside her. "Sometimes, a Queen has to have some fun too," she laughed.

"Shall we continue the hunt?" Elle blushed but grinned nonetheless.

Kimber attempted to roll her eyes at him but she was just to relieved to pull it off. "You are always teasing me," she said. "I should be used to it by now."

Trying to follow his advice, she closed her eyes and took another long, deep breath. After letting it out, she looked over at him and nodded her head. "It's not you that I don't trust," she said, giving his arm a light squeeze. She would just have to try to relax. What other choice did she have? She couldn't be there and that was that.

"I do not tease youu," he scoffed, giving her a gentle nudge. Yeah, he did. But, meh. "Tell me, what can I do to keep your mind of this? We can go to the playing field and play some sport with the students?" That would be fun!
