Elliott began whistling a bit, merely out of boredom. Whistle, whistleee. But then his pace slowed as he heard some thumping about. Was someone galloping? Skipping, maybe? He looked around to see where this skipper was, when suddenly the noise stopped. When he turned to look in front of him again, there was a girl flattened across the pathway before him.

"Merlin's beard!" She was bleeding and everything! He hustled over and kneeled down. "Are you all right??" He padded down his pockets, but he hadn't any tissues on him at the moment. Greeaat.

Enya stood her ground and glared at the girl, she stuck her hands into her jeans pockets and felt some object in them. She was confused at first until she remembered that she had some stink bombs from earlier when she put them in. Maybe later, she told herself.

"Last time i checked i didn't want you in my presence" She told her girl glaring, she was only telling the truth after all. "So now you can go" She said making a shooing motion with her hand. She was afterall there first so therefore she could tell Ellie to go.

Enya took her hands out of her pockets and folded them waiting for the girl to say something or even better leave. "Your sitll here, why?" She asked after a wait, gah the girl annoyed her.

Raina was still sitting on the floor with her hand covering her nose. She was afraid to take it away in case the blood splattered all over the floor. She was ignored by everyone, until this one boy stopped and looked at her. She expected nothing from him, but he actually did come up to her to ask if she was okay! Raina suddenly felt happy in this weirdly unhappy situation.

"I'm fine. Great, actually. Thank you for asking." She smiled, even though her nose was still bleeding. She awkwardly shuffled around in her jeans pocket, and pulled out an old tissue to mop it up. "What is your name?" She asked quite positively, with that weird sound that is made when you speak with your nose blocked.

Ohhh, shoot! She had a tear in her jeans. HM. Maybe she should stand up.

Fine?... Great? After taking a tumble and bloodying up her nose? This was some girl! Elliott smiled at the way her words muffled with the sound of her plugged nasal passages. "Tough cookie." Oh, wow. Did he seriously just say that? That was something MUMS said. He quickly cleared his throat and tried to forget it.

"Oh, I'm Elliott. Mikaitis. I'm in Gryffindor and I'm a sixth year." People usually added their house on with their introduction at Hogwarts, so he did the same. The boy fell back onto his butt bum and scooched off the pathway and onto the grass. It was nice sitting on the ground sometimes, as opposed to a bench or the old classroom chairs. "What's your name?" He tilted his head to the side a little.

Raina's eyebrows pulled together slightly, and she paused to think before she responded. Tough cookie? Cookie's were tough? Were these special wizarding cookies? "You have cookies?" She asked rather excitably. Raina wanted one and figured she deserved one after falling on her face.

"That's a very interesting name. I like it." She smiled, and continued to smile as he finished off his introduction. It was like an automatic speech. "My name is Raina Primavera. I'm a fourth year," she purposely left off the house part, because she was very disappointed to be a Slytherin. Besides, she didn't want Elliott to not be her friend just because of this small hurdle.

The fact that he sat down properly on the floor to speak to her gave her a certain sign. "So.. Elliott.. do you want to be friends?" She asked, looking away and wiggling her toes which were sitting in her pink flip-flops.

"No, no. I don't have cookies.. sorry." Elliott frowned a little and gave an apologetic shrug. He could really go for a cookie right now, though. Only because food was mentioned, he suddenly realized he was hungry. Oh well. But a smile spread across his face as she told him that she liked his name. "Thanks! Everyone usually thinks it's weird. I don't know why." Because he thought it a somewhat normal name. Wow, and her name was a mouthful. "I like yours too, Raina. I've never heard that name before, but it's nice." Primaveraaaa. That sounded like a wealthy duchess. heh. "And what's your house, then?" She hadn't said it, did she?

He gave a small grin when she asked him so bluntly if he wanted to be friends with her. "Okay, yes." He could use some more friends. "Friends, then," he smiled. It was established. Fooor real.

Hmm. If he didn't have cookies, then why mention them? That was a little disappointing. "I don't mind, you don't need to apologize. Do you want a fizzing whizbee?" She dug into her other pocket and pulled one out for him. She wasn't being weird or anything. The main reason she was offering one was because she was getting irritated with sweets poking out of her pockets.

"At least it isn't boring. And it definitely is not weird." His comment worried her a little bit. Did he mean people at Hogwarts said it was weird? That immediately told her that there were mean people here. Ohhh, golly. Awww. Raina blushed, "thanks, so much." She sort of wanted to hug Elliott, but she refrained. OWH. He asked about the house. Should Raina lie? Would she be able to pull that off? "I'm a Hufflepuff. Sorry, didn't I mention that?" She looked at her toes again.

Waiting for a response was like.. ahhh, scary! She really wasn't sure if that was the way to make friends. To ask them outright. Oh well. Raina smiled so much when he spoke, that her cheeks turned sort of hamsterish and chubby. "Really? That's great. I haven't had a friend since I was really little." She said, still smiling. Nope, Raina didn't like to dwell on the past so she wasn't going to get upset about it. All that mattered now was that she had a new friend!!

A cute friend. Hehe!

Seriously? This girl was insane. "You're right. I can go. But I'm not going to because I. Don't. Want. To." She said, emphasizing the pauses between words. She couldn't tell Ellie what to do and sure as Azkaban, Ellie wasn't going to listen to a brat like her.

"Why am I still here?" Ellie repeated. "Obviously because my legs haven't moved. Don't tell me that huge head of yours is empty." She said with a smirk. She fought fire with fire, even though she knew it never ended well. Last time she got a smack in face, but she didn't care. Enya couldn't break her down.

Enya began to tap her foot, annoyed that Ellie was still standing in front of her. Argh. She thought as she looked at her. She really annoyed her and Ellie better go before anything bad happens. And not to her. "Well i want you so go" At the last work she pushed Ellie backwards.

Now Enya was getting annoyed. She was implying she was stupid!? She was NOT stupid! Grrr. She glared and folded her arms again, this was going to turn ugly she knew it. "For your information i have more brains then you do" Okay so she was say what came to mind whicn usually sounded really cheap but at the moment she really didn't care. "You better move or'll your regret it" Great now her insult sounded terrible. Sigh.

Ellie gasped a little when Enya pushed her backward. Though it didn't really surpirse her. She caught herself, though. "I'm not going anywhere, Enya." She said, pushing her in the shoulder back. "If you recall correctly, you bumped into me."

Okay, now Enya looked like a ten year old. Oooh, so scary. NOT. Ellie snorted at Enya's childish behavior. "I'll regret it? What are you gonna do, slap me again? I'm scarred for life, can you tell?" She asked sarcastically. Her insults didn't phase her, she just sounded like a kid, trying to act tough. Oh wait, she was.

Enya gasped when she felt Ellie push her back again, just to make it even - like it wasn't already - she pushed her back. "Well neither am i!" She said angerly glaring at the girl. Enya folded her arms and eye'd the girl up and down thinking - fashion emergency. Sigh.

Enya took the taunts and glared. She unfolded her arms and shoved them into her pocket, yeah Ellie would regret it if she annoyed her aymore. She thought back to the argument they had had in the common room, then they had Skye and Louisa calming them down. Now they had no one. As she was thinking she felt the Bombs in her pocket again. Smiling to herself she pulled one, two out and threw them on the ground before Ellie and took a few large steps back. "Told you you'd regret it."

Fee just smiled at her boyfriend when he started. It was really cool to see how all of this worked.She could never do something like this.Once again another reason why she was so impressed with everything Hugo did.Hearing him breathe in and out she every bit of him.The boy relaxed immediately.What was happening in his head?!The Slytherin would give anything go know that now.

And out of nothing he pointed at his watch.Seeing the golden dust, Fee's mouth flew open.Woooow,this was just incredeble.Smiling up at him when he opened his eyes, she watched him walking towards his compass. It really looked pretty,pretty good.Woah."Wow Hugo",the blonde said,"you did amazing."

Now it was her turn.Oh my god, how was she supposed to get one like Hugo's?!She wasnt such a good student and didnt know as much as he did.But she would do her best."I try now",the girl nodded.Mhhh.... Closing her eyes the Slytherin took a deep breath and shook her arms a little.Maybe that would scare Hugo,looking at his girlfriend doing freaky things but she needed to concentrate. With her eyes closed she took a step closer to a stone nearby and placed the old compass on it. Reverting it back into a watch, the image of her compass was already forming.This one had to be good and detailed, there was no other way.Fee wanted to get pooooints for her work.

Aiming her wand at the watch the blonde made the movement."Comeltia",she pointed at the stone.The image was cleary in her mind and she could see it in front of her eyes.This head to work out. Opening her eyes a little big she wrinkled her forehad. That thing didnt look like the one in her head."Animals? Seriously?",she said frustrated and sighed. Why oh why didnt it work out.Was that even a real compass?! Shooting her boyfriend a confused look the Slytherin let her shoulders sink.

"I guess i need to try again.",the Slytherin muttered more to herself.Hopefully Hugomwouldnt be annoyed. Sighing heavily one last time Fee took a step closer again and shook her head angrily."Reverto",you stupid thing. Okay that sounded a little rude, but it was only a thiiing. And it was gettin on her nerves,why didnt it work out first time?!But the more anger that raised inside her the more a new image formed.It was golden and black.Really beautiful.Within seconds she could see it clearer and clearer. "Comeltia",the second year almost shouted.For a second everything was silent.Breathing out one last time,Fee slowly opened her eyes again and smiled as she saw what was their on the stone.Her compass "Perfect",the blonde smiled widely. Finally.

Kita smiled. She wasn't even embarrassed for making Fee laugh by squealing. "Oh my days!" she said, throwing her hands up in the air in celebration, "I KNEW IT!" Did Fee just say it was romantic? "Romantic eh?" she said, "Tell me everything!" There was no way she was going to miss out on the details. A sly smile grew on Kita's face when Fee asked about her intuition. "Ah!" she said, in a misty voice, "You see Feenella, some people just know..." She felt a sudden urge to laugh so she bit her lip in an attempt not to. She knew that she wouldn't be able to stop herself if Fee started laughing. And... the mysterious look was back. "Oh! Well..." she said in a small voice, "i said i think i know why." She now wish she hadn't said anything at all.

Fee giggled when her bestie threw he hands in the air.Seemed like everyone knew it except Hugo and Fee.Actually that was quite hilarious."Oh well we were at the observatory and the stars were shining really bright",the blonde started,"and well we were just talking and then he told me he liked me."Under the stars. Not to mentioned she had been so stupid and didnt get it at first. Heeeh.The Slytherin raised an eyebrow at the firl next to her and chuckled.Her obnoxious Huffie."Ohh so some people just know`?",she wiggled her eyebrows and laughed. Uh-oh now there would be a huuuuge laugh session.Seemed whenever these two hung out thex couldnt stop laughing.The Slytherin really ejnoyed that. But then Kita's voice changed.What was wrong?!"Kiiita just tell me whats on your mind",she said placing her hand on her left side. What was going on?!

Sadie just looked at him for a second and jsfhisdnlhty!... OMG how come she had not noticed before! "You got a haircut!" she exclaimed randomly.

"Haha I know what you mean," Fletcher laughed easily and kind of shrugged at the area around him. "Look at this place, right? I'm here, your friends are here, there's...cool classes and stuff.... what's not to love?"

Especially the him bit. Glitter!Puff still had a teeny, tiny ego. That part of him would never change.

His hands went back into his pockets to search for peanuts as Sadie started talking. "Yeah, no slappings...guess I've just gotten better at ducking." HA. He was hilarious. Fletcher started sniggering at his own joke as he popped a peanut into his mouth so he almost didn't hear Sadie comment on his hair.

"YEAH!" the boy's eyes went wide with eagerness to talk about his shorter hair. "Doesn't it look great? My girlfriend Rae did it for me!"

Whups, that....g-word had kind of just slipped out......

She laughed and nodded in agreement. "You're right, what's not to love," came her musing, glancing around the wooded area herself. Especially the fact that he was in front of her and they were chatting. Sooo to be truthful, he was the only reason she was back here. Meep.

Then the boy went back to his peanut eating. Ermm...peanuts weren't really her favorite in that state. She didn't like eating most nuts in general after that fateful day when she choked on a pistachio nut. "I guess we'll have to see about that," she teased. Hehe.

Sadie smiled out of eagerness. "Yeah it looks fantastic! I almost didn---" she suddenly stopped talking. In fact she went completely silent as her mouth stayed open.

"You--you aren't being serious are you?" she asked him stuttering. Color was slowly starting to rise into those pale cheeks of hers.

Rae was still having that internal conflict within herself and what was going on in front of her, but that changed when her ears caught her name. She was mentioned? IN A GOOD WAY! Okay cool, nothings going on here then. Rae now joyfully made her way over to Fletcher and his friend.. "Hey babe!" She said happily with a hug. She will wait for Fletcher to introduce her to his friend....

"Well, that's why I'm outside. The best of both worlds." she said, nodding her head as she gripped the book she held just a little bit tighter. Hmm yes, why waste a perfectly good afternoon hanging around the dungeons? Even if it was a bit chilly it, or actually a lot, it was a nice afternoon. Fresh air would do her some good.

She hadn't considered that thought before.

Tilting her head to the side slightly, having always done so when in deep thought, she stared at the boy, her eyes flickering from him to the camera in his hands. Omg, he totally was a perver- "If I take a few pictures with that..." Queue the pointing to the camera. "Would that get the idea out of your head?"

It was kinda unsettling to think about.

"Thanks," he said. "I quite like it too." Hugo stepped back to let Fee try. When she transformed the compass, Hugo initially thought it was very pretty, but Fee didn't like it. "It's okay," he said and smiled at his girlfriend. "Trial and error," he told Fee. "The best learning process." Hugo nodded and smiled again. When the watch transformed into a compass again, Hugo gave her an impressed look. "Nice, Fee," he said and thumbed her up. Then he looked at his beautiful compass. He was so proud of it. He pointed at the way the compass pointed. "The whomping willow is there..."

Fesighed okay wasnt good enough.she wanted to be perfect."I know it sounds really granger-ish but i want to be more than just okay or good." Yees,that sounded nerdy.Maybe Alicia was right and the blonde was a total Granger girl.Oh well, school was important to her.When she saw her boyfriend smile the second year couldnt help but smile too. It made her happy to see him happy.Giggling as he thumbed her up , the girl picked up her compass up and looked at it. Muuuuch better. Much, much better. "Thank you",she smiled widely. This one was perfect. But how would she imporve now?!Mhhh...."The whomping willow?Lets go then."They were almost finished with the task.Actually sad because it was a lot fun to follow the way the compass showed and transform it at a new place.

Okay, so she didn't seem too upset by the absence of cookies, and then she was even offering him some fizzing whizbees. "No thanks," he politely declined, before explaining. "I'm not much of a sweets person." It was very strange, actually. What teenager did not like sweets?? Pfft. The boring ones!

"That's true. And I like it, so I suppose that's what matters most." He blinked and turned back to her. Even though he had only just met this girl, he couldn't help but wonder what was going through her head sometimes. His lips tugged in a slight smile when her cheeks tinged with pink before she explained that she was a Hufflepuff. "Aah, I should have guessed. You seem like a Hufflepuff," he added casually.

He smiled again, mirroring hers. "Well, now you've got at least one more, right?" Hmm, not friends since she was little? This gave him the impression that she must have been home-schooled. The home-schooled kids always seemed to miss out, unfortunately. "So, is this your first year here at Hogwarts?"

Kita smiled. Had she done that in front of anyone else, she was sure to have been embarrassed but seeing as it was Fee standing in front of her, there wasn't an ounce of embarrassment inside of her. Funny. As Fee finished her story, Kita was on the verge of tears. "Oh. My. Days!" she squealed, waving a hand in front of her eyes to stop herself from crying from happiness, "Fee! That's so romantic! I'm so happy for you!" What a great way to find out that a guy has liked you. "Pretty much," she said, still biting her lip in an attempt not to laugh which was harder and harder to do as the seconds ticked by. Fee's wiggling eyebrows finally did it. She was laughing again; not that she was complaining. And then the time came to tell Fee what was going on. Even though it was kind of silly. She cleared her throat and took a deep breath. "Well, i just said i know why guys like to be around you," she said, trying her hardest not to be embarrassed, "You're pretty remember?" She rolled her eyes and shook her head despite the fact that she was actually embarrassed.

Rex walked around the pathways humming to himself.

The walk from the corridor entrance had been refreshing and rejuvenating in many ways. His mind felt a little clearer, captured in the beauty of the freshly fallen snow and the brush of the crisp breeze against his skin. It didn't really matter that he was knee deep in snow at times, or that he had to keep his hands in his pockets to maintain their warmth, that his breath streamed away from him in grey tendrils of light mist. There was nothing quite like the serenity of nature and the silence of the trees lining the pathways. It gave him some distraction from his consideration of the curriculum, some distance from trying to puzzle out what it all meant.

It was only when he reached a fork in the pathways that he was reminded that he was supposed to be doing work, that he still had several transformations of a compass to go. With a slow breath out, he withdrew the watch from his pocket and considered the device, turning his wand slowly in his opposite hand. A duel colored needle with a red point at the end, degrees between the main axis of direction, more detailed designs of the lines connecting each direction. That was his intention, and with it he tapped his wand against the glass with another incantation, "Comelita."

A slight frown touched his lips as the watch vibrated and popped into a similar design to his first, very simple and basic. Another few taps of his wand, a greater focus of concentration on the individual features and they presented themselves, one by one, slowly but surely. When at last the design settled into place, he took to testing the accuracy of the device again, frowning as the needle wibbled and wobbled about on it's pin before settling in a general north direction. Apparently magnetism had been sacrificed for design and it took him a few more taps and a bit more concentration before the needle was stabilized.

So, he would have to focus on design and then magnetism, or perhaps build the design around the magnetism once it was solidified. Something to test out at the lake. Tucking the reverting compass back into his pocket, he started off once again.

Ellie gave Enya a look of disgust when her eyes scaled her up and down. She didn't push her back, she didn't want to start a fight. She wasn't worth getting in trouble for.

Then Enya looked like she had a plan. What was she grabbing out of her pockets...? And throwing on the ground...? "What the-?!" They hit the ground in front of Ellie and she realized what they were-her brother had used them on her before. She quickly tried to scurry away before they blew, but soon enough she could smell the nasty stink bomb cloud reach her. Crap. It smelled like crap!

Ellie covered her mouth and nose with her scarf and pulled out her wand. Screw getting in trouble, she hated Enya. "Locomotor Mortis!" She said, pointing her wand at Enya. The leg-locker curse. Simple and harmless, unless she tried to move, then she'd fall over. But Ellie didn't mind.
