Elyon twirled down the pathways. She might run into a new friend! Between every few twirls, she'd start to skip a bit, then go back to twirling and spinning. Her bag kept hitting her in the back of her legs, but she didn't mind. She finally stopped and pulled out a book, reading to her hearts content, since she hadn't been able to read in the Entrance Hall, for Adam tripped and she had to help him to the hospital wing.

Adam wasn't quite sure, with his broken leg and a supporting cane, why he was all the way outside in the pathways, the pressure on his leg was too painful to describe with speech, but easier with descriptive words.

He then saw Elyon dancing around, at first he was reminded of Katie, but Elyon had a different type of grace to herself that didn't make her look odd, but rather more pleased with herself an earth.

"Hi Elyon."He said waving from a far.

Elyon looked up from her book at the sound of her name being called. She looked around to see Adam waving at her, clutching his supporting cane. He seemed like he was in a lot of pain, so she slid her book into her bag, and skipped over to him, rather than making him walk on his leg. "Hi Adam! It's good to see you again! I see your leg is getting better!" She smiled happily at him, hoping to cheer him up. He'd seemed rather down lately.

"Hello."He said in a cheery tone."It's getting there-though it's easier with a cane because now it is a slap stick for me."Adam teased."How are you? Oh, a book I saw. You love to read, don't you?"He asked.
Adam was grateful he didn't have to walk so much, Elyon had been considerate enough to walk over to him.

Elyon laughed at his joke. "I supposed that could come in handy!" She smiled. "I'm doing great! Oh, yes. I love books! Reading, music, and studies are all I really have! I don't do much otherwise!" She'd never been very social, most people thought she was very odd. She didn't have many friends and kept to her books and instruments. "Do you like to read as well?"

"Noooo...."Adam said right off the bat."But is it ironic that I like to make books- I mean I want to be a writer if I can't be a international quidditch player...I play drumset."He said, though he wasn't sure if they had already discussed instruments together.

"It's alright! 'At a time like this, scorching irony, not convincing argument, is needed.' That was a quote from Frederick Douglas. I find myself quoting others quite often." Elyon smiled at the thought of Adam coming home from a Quidditch game to write a book about it. "Writing is a wonderful talent, I'm sure you'll be a brilliant author!"

She and Adam had never discussed instruments before, and she gasped when he said he played drums. "Really!? I absolutely adore music! Drummers are the most important part of the song, for they keep the beat and tie each note together. I play a few instruments actually. I sing a bit as well! I play guitar, piano, and the ukelele. Music is a great way to express myself, when I find I can't with words." She smiled brightly, wondering if she'd ever met another musician besides Chris before.

"Thanks for that. I like adventure romance novels to write about."Adam said blushing a bit, saying that he liked to write about lovey dovey stuff and him being a guy and all, it was rare to see or hear.

"I know we keep tempo and make the whole sound complete.
I'm a manager- we are trying to make a band, but it may not last long.Maybe you could be our singer?"Adam asked, she needed to be included more when it came to social happenings at Hogwarts.

Elyon smiled. He seemed so embarassed about it, but she thought it was great that he wrote novels about romance. Most boys thought that they had to hide the fact that they were into romance books, and she thought it was very admirable that he was open to it, even if they did have adventure themes as well.

At his next words, Elyon simply glowed. "Really? I've never been invited to be a part of anything before! That's so kind of you! I'd very much like to be in your band." She beamed at him, even though she was only eleven, and didn't think she'd be a good singer in a band at such a young age. She was just glad to have friends, something she'd never had before.

"Really?"Adam asked the same as her. He could not see why, she was different but a refreshing type of different, one people should accept and enjoy because Elyon was much different than a average person."Well i have been called sweet.If it ever gets started by me...I'm not very good at organizing things."Adam admitted shyly.

"There's no need to be shy about your faults. It's very courageous of you to admit them. As human beings, most of us don't. Plus, working on your organizational skills is just another goal to achieve! Just like I'm working on getting better at flying. I don't do so well in that category." Elyon smiled contently, happy to be here at Hogwarts. Her house with her parents just could not compare!

She was standing just right. Hoping desperately, the unknown girl wouldn't move - he whispered in a small voice: "Oh please, don't move, Miss." The little plea ran in Orlando Renaldi's head, as he crouched down in a sitting position - a little too immensely caught up in the moment.

There was no homework and the afternoon was free for him to use in any way he liked. Seeing his camera in his trunk, just lying there - not in use - had made Orlando feel pretty sad. It was just plain sad that he hadn't been able to take pictures since he got back. Unfair, to be correct.

The Quilll wasn't making him run out, taking pictures - which sucked. So the fifteen year old had decided to take a stroll and maybe capture something worthy for some later use. It was a boring day, anyway.

And here he was, kneeling down - trying to move a little to the right and THERE. That was perfect.

The girl was standing just right. In perfect position. In perfect light.

Ahh .. if only she would just tilt her head a little upwards.

Ah, nevermind.

Having thought it was a good idea to take another stroll, feeling as though fresh air was helping a lot with helping her memory of things, the Slytherin found herself outside, a book in hand, and tugging her dark green jacket a little closer to herself. Merlin it had gotten chillier since the last she was out here and that was…yesterday?

Her hair was down, dark and wavy, with a matching dark green knitted beanie had covering the top of her head. She figured since the weather was getting colder, not as many people would be out here at the moment, giving her the time and space to think clearly and by herself.

However, the curious thought of actually moving off the pathways crossed her mind. Unlike the forbidden forest that had the eerie sense that you should stay away from it, the trees with their warm fall colors, and light shining through the pathways almost seemed inviting.

Taking a moment to stare, Evelyn suddenly blinked as a flash to the side caused her to break out of her thoughts, and almost become a bit irritated. So much for being alone.

"What are you doing?" she asked, her hazel eyed gaze fixed on the boy with the camera.

This was sort of inevitable. Even before the mind-boggling flash had flashed, when Orlando's finger had been hovering over the little red button. A reasonable thought had crossed his mind: She would mind. Period.

But the lighting and the view. And the everything. Orlando had failed to resist.

The girl turned and Orlando almost backed off a little. Tripping back down on the ground, gently - since he was already kneeling. "Err. Taking a picture?" He stated the obvious. A little awkwardly.

Yes. Lets begin with the obvious. She'll take some time before jinxing him then. Hmm. She did look the type who would jinx you, if you stepped into her space.

Funny, Orlando had not noticed that when he had been taking the picture.

Crap.

Hugging the book closer to herself, the she-snake teen did not react when the boy tripped. No smile, smirk, or any other expression to show she was amused in some way, even though normally she would have been very. Nothing but an accusing stare. No, she was not amused.

At all.

At least for the time being that is.

"Thank you for that Mr. Obvious." Sarcastic, yes. Merlin this boy had to either be a Huffie or a Gryffindork. "But why are you taking my picture?" There were endless possibilities one could use with a picture. She herself have thought of plenty of uses with one's picture, and almost went through with one plan a few years back.

That better not be the same reason this boy had in mind.

"No i don't play here, but i really want to!" she said. "Like that would be awesome, but i think tryouts passed." she said with a shrug. "But i can do it nxt yr no worries." she said happily. "Oh me and my family support the tornadoes, it ish a family tradition that i go to games." she said timidly. Hopefully she didn't hate her.

Yep. He was going to be jinxed. Very soon. It was a scary thought. Yet, Orlando was not running away. Hmm. He must be really growing up.

Such a sarcastic tone. "Ouch" He murmured under his breath, in response. This was awkward. It really was. Before uttering anything stupid and getting jinxed in the head, Orlando decided to be a little careful. Getting up, he brushed his jeans off - since the dirt and the what-not had coated so nicely on his back side. Once done, he looked up, trying to decide if now was the time to run away? Cause the girl. And her stare (Glare, to be correct) was just frightening.

"I am sorry. I should have probably asked first." he said, protectively covering his camera with his hands. If she was a little too creative, she might probably smash his camera. Orlando couldn't pinpoint exactly till where the girl was willing to go. Because from her expression, Orlando really could not extract out any emotion. Was she angry? Was she bored? Was she - ergh.

"Ah .. You were standing there. And it was the perfect light .. and the view. And I couldn't resist." He finally blurted out.

Run now?

Her gaze flickered down to the camera in his hands for a moment once he visibly tightened his hold on it. She hadn't really thought of taking it from him, but now that it ran through her mind...she was thinking about it.

However, there was no way she could get it unless physically taking it from him, and well, she was just too tired and ladylike to do such a thing.

Well, an apology in less then a minute of their conversation was a good start to this whole problem. She had to admit, it was a rather nice change. His explanation of the photograph held no trace of any words that could somehow hurt her either. How in the world could she be angry at that? Evelyn did enjoy art, and photography was a way of art. If he liked the lighting...then so be it.

"You should always ask before doing something like that. Manners and all. Politeness." she replied with a nod, continuing her frown/glare before relaxing herself some after a moment, as well as her expression.

..."That's not going to be posted anywhere or anything is it? The picture?" Otherwise, she will use force to get it back depending on the answer.

"That's sad" said talking about the tryouts "In which position will you've played?" she asked. "I'll try maybe next year who knows". Oh tornadoes then? "Tornadoes fan, huh?" she said looking at the sky " No problem for me" she smiled at her. "We should go together to see a match" said excited "That would be fun!"

What it all boiled down to was whether the school security needed to be upgraded or not? Only time would tell if the Ministry really had needed to send a man to be in charge of security. Sophie hoped though that a security man around would equal her not having to deal with any big incidents. She was after all still a beginner prefect with lots to learn.

Thinking about getting a real prefect meeting she scratched her head "It has to be called together by Trixie or Kellen right? We can’t arrange a meeting right as junior prefects?" Sophie really wanted more on her feet when it came to school rules and her own responsibilities. She didn’t want to mess up or make a bad call. Sophie took her prefect appointment very seriously. "It would be so cool to have a real meeting in the room of requirement with candy and everything." Was she dreaming?

Sophie followed Evan’s lead since he seemed to know where he was going. They were after all only moving from the pathways to the pitch. It wasn’t a long distance between them. As they walked on and on she got the feeling that Evan actually didn’t know where he was leading them. Trying to find a familiar tree or bush with no luck Sophie stopped on the path a bit worried "I think we’re lost!"

Looking back at the path behind them the brunette added "I don’t think we should’ve turned right back there. I’ve lost track of where we are." Hearing Evan’s comment about them doing something that she wanted to do afterwards she just shook her head. They had to get to the pitch first then they could think about what do later.

He nodded at her mention about manners and all. His head hanging down, pretty much like it did when he felt he had disappointed KT. Even if that wasn't the case here. The girl's glare/stare was accusing enough. It almost made him feel super uncomfortable. "I am sorry, miss" he mumbled, again.

Noticing a little change in her expression, Orlando relaxed a little inside. It didn't mean he wouldn't get jinxed, of course. Just maybe a not so harsh jinx.

Her question was very relevant. "Umm no. I do work for the Quill and sometimes, they want us to post pictures of random stock - captured during the term. And if maybe this is really good. I may consider .. but obviously, I don't hold the authority to it. I'll show it you. If you think it's bad - which I doubt it would be - or if you don't want students looking at you in the paper .. you could tell me no?"

HMM. EXPLANATION. EXPLANATION.

"But most probably no. I was just taking it cause you looked good. As soon as I develop it, I'll give it to you." he nodded, with a small smile - even if the girl didn't look like the type who appreciated random people smiling at her. "I won't keep it for myself, of course" Duh.

Woah, he almost lost her there for a moment. Back track.

He doubt it would be? Either he thought she took good pictures, or he was rather confident in his abilities of a photographer. Then again, he did work for the quill, sooo...he kinda had to be. Still though, pfft.

"Sounds good." she muttered, all the while raising a brow. Huh. Another thought just crossed her mind at his last few words. She wasn't going to have another Stalker Dude problem was she? Sure, Jimmy didn't really stalk her, but this guy...this guy was taking her picture. Without her even knowing! Well, she knew now, but, he probably would have walked off if she hadn't seen that flash. He probably didn't even work for the quill. It was all a cover up.

Stare. "You don't fancy me do you?"

A completely serious question there.

She sounded convinced. Good. Not getting jinxed today.

Waho. Ah .. what?

You don't fancy me do you?

Blink. Blink. Stare.

A little color rose on the gryffindor's face. "Fancy You? I don't even know you" he blurted. So is that how a girl's brain worked? If you take her picture cause she seemed really nice under a certain light - you fancy her?

"Umm no." he mumbled. "Am I suppose to?"

This was dumb.

He really was a strange one. Getting flustered over simple questions so easily.

Tilting her head to the side just the slightest, she continued to stare at him, raising a brow after he finally finished speaking in a quieter tone then he used before. That questions...

Huh?

"No." ...? No? Or, wait. Yea. No.

...Right? Right. No Stalker Dude. Right.

Blinking rapidly a few times, the Slytherin took a deep breath, looking elsewhere for a moment before just slumping almost in exhaustion. She was kinda tired of having to stand up straight and perfect all the time. Besides, it was a difficult task in trying to figure out if this guy was okay to talk to and hang around or not. "So...are you going this way, or what?" she asked, pointing in the direction behind her to the rest of the pathway.

Hmmmm?

Alexa Meridew walked through The Pathways. She was in a good mood for once. Was it because she was going to see her first crush? Beck Joseph Salvatore. He's beautiful. He's what she likes in a man and he's good looking. She could get any guy she wants but she wan't Beck Salvatore but does he want her? She wasn't sure of his feelings for her. Oh well she would just have to ask him.
