"Snowman are good." She nodded her head against him. Though she wasn't sure about the wet part. Wet and cold didn't mix well in the winter time, and especially not when snow was involved.

She did her best to look at what he was wearing without actually moving her head much or releasing him. "Are you sure? Its really cold outside, and there's snow. And this is Scotland." Which was her way of saying it was freezing outside.

"Yes. And I'm from Canada." Grinning rather goofily, he gave her a warm hug. "But if it makes you feel better, I'll run up and grab a coat. Maybe a scarf. Mitts. Toque. Mukluks..."

Returning the hug, she poked her tongue out at him. "Doesn't mean your immune to the cold." Though it probably was just as cold here as it was in Canada. "It would make me feel so much better." Cause she was from America, and it didn't get nearly as cold as it did up here, not where she was from. She giggled at his listing.

Letting out a slow breath, he rubbed her back with both hands. "Aye-eye. I'll meet you at the entrance in ten?" Given running up and down stairs took ten minutes.

She was pretty sure it took longer than ten minutes to run up to the towers and back to the entrance hall. But maybe he knew better than he made that trio daily. "Sounds like a plan." She started taking baby steps with him.

With a grin, Sabel fell in step beside her. He didn't part until it was absolutely necessary, and when that happened, he spared a glance back at her as if saying 'I'll race you' before booking it off to his tower.

Caroline laughed. That was pretty funny washable non evil marker. "Ok. Ok sorry I wont bring up Katie again." she smirked at him. She suddenly had a good idea. "So how much trouble do you think someone would get into? she made a half smirk, half grin at him.

Adam raised one eyebrow. What was the girl playing at?
Why were all blonde slytherins so weird at this school- it's like they have two brains, a weird one and evil one.
He passed her the marker- not wanting to be a part of any of this.
"I don't know. Why won't you put something on the Lions hourglass, if you got the nerves?"

Caroline took the marker and shook her head "I was thinking something along the lines of writing on a certain, lion" she said taken the cap off and turning the Gryffindor standing beside her. She raised her eyebrows as she lifted the marker close to his face. "It is washable, right?" making a jab at his forehead with the marker. She hit him in the forehead with the marker, leaving a small, tiny dot. She laughed but in reality you could barely see it.

Adam slapped the marker away from her face. " I deface property- not people. Defacing people is just low...What type of human are you? Are you even human?"Adam asked her in a defensive tone.

He snatched the marker and scribbled SNAKIE onto her forehead.

Caroline's jaw dropped. Just low? what type of human are you? I'm I even human? she poked herself to make sure she was still human. Two seconds later he had the marker writing on her forehead What? He just writing on her. He just blessed her out for Defacing people."I thought that you only defaced property, not people. and I'm a human"she snapped "A fairly nice one mostly" she snatched the marker back angryly. She quickly wrote LOSER across his forehead. Ha. serves him right.

With his long limbs hanging at his side, the boy stared at the hourglasses, big brown eyes wide. He was in a trance if you will, watching him. He couldn't help that he thought they were kind of pretty. Feeling his glasses start to slide up his nose, the tall boy fixed his glasses, shaking his head.

Really, too much had gone on for the boy to really keep his mind set on one thing. He honestly couldn't even remember what he was doing down here in the first place. His mind wandered and some how, the rest of his body did too. Leo didn't know where he was planning on going but it was most DEFIANTLY not the hourglasses.

....Oh hai, Slytherin was winning!

Lexi was nearly SKIPPING as she neared the hourglasses, only slowing down as the pain in her side seemed to flare up a bit with the motion. "Stupid staircase," she muttered to herself.

What was HE doing? Staring? Well, Lexi didn't mind a good stare. Sliding up beside the boy she looked at him for only a moment before joining him in looking at the hourglasses. "Whatchu doing down here... just looking?" she asked with a giggle. Seemed odd, but she GOT odd, so it was alright.

Leo heard a voice, a voice next to him, a female voice. MEEPLE! Hearing female voices was probably good for other boys his age but not Leopold O'Donald. He froze up around girls, he couldn't talk, his brain flat out froze up and he felt like he had to puke. Of course, if it was a pretty girl it got MUCH worse. Knowing his luck, this girl was going to be pretty, hence why he wasn't looking at her just yet.

"Er..."HE NEEDED TO LOOK. He needed to be a brave boy for once! So, Leopold turned his head HOPING the girl wasn't pretty so he could have possibly a normal conversation.

SNORT. Of course she was utterly GORGEOUS.

Poop. This wasn't going to be fun."Errr...yeah, huh."

*awkward*

"Are you just..."He looked at her as she giggled, running a hand through his short hair."Looking too?"

Awkward boy. Hehehe. Lexi smiled sweetly at him and blinked a few times. "Yeah... figured I would look since you was looking too. THought you may need some company in your...staring. That alright?" she said in a chipper tone as she watched him fidget a bit.

Awkward boys were fun. "Pretty gems and all that innit?" she said with a lazy little point toward the hourglasses. hEHE.

Alex made his way to the hourglasses mainly because he hadn't been there before. Almost a year at Hogwarts and he had never visited there before. Shame on him and shame on that lazy grin of his. He walked up to the four different glasses and stood there watching for a while.

Yellow, blue, red, green.

Pretty colours. Pretty colours made him dizzy. He looked around him once before his legs caved in and with a loud thump he landed on the stone floor. There he sat admiring the colourfull hourglasses and the fact that Slytherin was in the lead.

Beat that gryffindorks. Muaha. Dreamy sigh. The colours were so.. So... So colourful. Yes, yes they were.

Kurumi made her way through the various corridors with no particular destination in mind. She had a lot on her mind recently and, with it already being February, things that she had put in the back of her mind were quickly come to the forefront.

She noticed Alex being memorized by the Hourglasses...strange...and walked over to tap him on the shoulder. "Good day, Alex," she smiled brushing a stand of black hair behind her ear.

Being completely cut off from the world surrounding him Alex was more than surprised to feel a tap on the shoulder. He let out a not so manly squeal and turned his head around just to see Kurumi standing there. He gave out a light chuckle. "Hello Kurumi." he smiled. Suddenly he felt very stupid sitting down on the floor infront of the Hourglasses so he stood up and brushed some dust off his robes. "How's life treating you?" he asked as he continued brushing some dust off.

Did Alex just...squeal? Kurumi tried not to show her amusement, but she was sure that the shocked blinking gave her away a little. "I've been alright," she smiled looking at the hourglasses and feeling a jolt of confidence in seeing that Gryffindor was back on top. "Much better than I was last month in the kitchens anyway." Kurumi noticed a rather large piece of lint on his shoulder and brushed it off with her hand. "How about you?"

Gryffindor ahead of Slytherin by 17 points?! What?!

Elle decided that she would be more active in class. She would be the main attraction... sooner or later. Just wait and see, Lions! The Slythies would do anything to be at the top!

Alex fought the urge to start a rambling as to why he had been squealing, perhaps it would be better to just let that one slide. To watch that little incident move from the present to the past. Waay back in the past. "Oh good." he smiled genuinly. She hadn't been too happy when he'd last seen her. "Glad things worked out?" he let the question hang there slightly, it had worked out thought right?

He grinned when she picked some lint off his shoulder, he couldn't walk around with lint all over him now could he? Like some sort of... Lint..Boy. "I'm good, just the normal day-to-day activities." he shrugged. Well except getting shrunk and walk around 15cm's tall in a neverending maze with bunnies as big as houses in a costume that itches that was.

Oh. Strange place. But it was a good idea, at least Chandler could keep up with the house pints and stuff. He just stood there with his arms folded, just taking the image of it all in. It did look nice, and pretty but the thing was, Hufflepuff weren't doing any good. HMPF. It really didn't matter to him though, nor did the Quidditch cup, he just liked being here and that was what counted.

What WAS that thump and WHY was it right next to him. Slowly, the blonde turned his head with an anxious look and a frown spread across his facial features. Oh boy. "Errrm...ALEX? Are you okay?!" Did he faint or something?! But wait, why did he look alright and...not unconscious. Confusing much? D=

This was just...not good. No, this was bad. Really really bad.

Glancing at Kimber next to him briefly, Jeremy bit his lip as they moved away from the bulletin board. Just away. Away from the list. Like it was going to disappear or at least change if they just got far enough away. The worst thing was how many students were invited. And whom had been selected.

When they reached the hourglasses he tugged on Kimber's hand softly, pausing right next to the gemstone-filled hourglasses, pulling her to stop with him. "This is bad." He voiced his thoughts, glancing at her, worry clearly plastered across his face. Judging by her facial expression bad wasn't the only word that came to her mind, though. She seemed downright furious about all this.

Yeah, Kimber was... not pleased. "What the hell is this?!" she demanded, not really posing the question to anyone in particular and certainly not Jeremy. He apparently wasn't invited either.

When he tugged on her hand, she squeezed his back tightly and continued ranting. "I mean seriously! Are we not staff members at this school?! Since when do we make it practice to single people out?"

"You realize that the majority of those students invited are Gyffindors. How does it look to them to have their Head of House passed over?!" Who's bright idea was that?!

Yes, furious was definitely a good way to describe Kimber's current mood. If the situation hadn't been that serious Jeremy would have probably even found it amusing. Not now, though. Now it was just true what she was saying. Sadly.

Rubbing the back of his neck in frustration he kept unusually quiet throughout Kimber's rant, his eyes on her face, trying to figure out what to do. What to say. How to possibly prevent this from getting any worse. "That's the aim, probably. To single people out." He echoed her words, his gaze dropping to the ground for a moment.

When he finally looked back up, Jeremy simply gazed at Kimber for a while, lost in thought. "This isn't about us. This is about the students. We're adults. We shouldn't worry about not being part of the 'in-crowd', we're not in high-school anymore." Erm, well technically they were sort of but not THEM as such. "We can decide for ourselves what we make of all this. If Fina and Hecate and the rest think this is for the best, so be it but the students. They...don't understand what all of this means yet." Not the younger ones at least, and possibly not even the older ones.

"They're just children."
