Dan was happy to freely talk to someone here and not have to be all scared to talk to girls. "Haha smooth, that was a pretty good assumption!" He said laughing. "Wow, really? At least you know people, I have just started here, and i only know a slytherin and you!" He said, he really needed some friends.

Jade laughed. "So you're new here? I know a couple of other people who started this year as well," Jade told Dan. "Don't worry you'll make friends, I was like you. In my first year I only had one friend," she told him encouragingly.

"Yeah, being new does kinda suck at the beginnning." He said sadly. "But this seems like a really nice place so i hopefully will make friends. THanks for the encouragement" He said gratefully.

"Tell me about it!" Jade said. "Don't worry, really. If you need any help or something like that, you can ask me. I would be more than happy to help you Dan!" she told him with a smile on her face.

"Haha, yeah." He said laughing. "Hey, it's gonna be my birthday soon, in May, i'm gonna have loads of people over, if i know that many people though!" He said half laughing. "Would you be keen?" He asked hopefully.

"Oh, that's so nice of you!" she told him surprised. "Yeah sure!" she said to Dan with a smile on her face. Dan was so nice.

"Yeah, well" He said trailing off, rubbing his shoe in the ground. "Sweet, that's one. Now if i can make more friends.." He said laughing. "Hey, do you want to go to Honeydukes? I hear it's really good"

"You will make, I'm sure of it!" Jade said. She was sure that Dan would make more friends as he was a nice and caring person. Jade didn't know what to say. She had to tell Cody for sure. "Yeah, why not... we're friends!" she said to him after a while.

"Haha, thanks" He said, he was happy to have made a friend so easily. SHe seemed really nice too. "Cool" He said happily he started to walk to Honeydukes.

"Welcome," Jade told him. Dan started to walk immediately as Jade finished her answer. "We can go out of the school like that?" she asked curiously to Dan.

setting his back pack on the ground he looks at his broom and scratches his head why was it messing up like this ,,,looking around to see if anyone he knew that could fly was near by

Feeling herself in need of some fresh air, Sierra Greingoth stepped foot out onto the grounds and began a random walk around the place. It was pretty outside, and even though she'd been at the school for almost a full school year, she still hadn't explored too much of it.

...and so she found herself walking along the gates to the school, heading in the direction of the front gate. She glanced around at her surroundings, just enjoying the feeling of being outside, and only looked up as she approached the front gate.

Oh, great. That Michael kid, whatever his last name was, was standing there examining his broom. She paused in her tracks, inwardly rolled her eyes, and then turned to head off in the opposite direction.

seeing the Sierria wondering the grounds "Yo Sierria" the words no more left his lips. Then the look washed over her face,what had he ever done to the girl except talk to her,Oh well too late he had all ready called her " you got a sec "

Sierra should have known that sneaking away wouldn't end up working out for her. She paused in her tracks, back still turned to Michael, and rolled her eyes. Why was he always so nice to her?! She was always so distant with him, and so she'd think that he'd pick up on that and start to ignore her--but no. He was being nice to her again, just like he always was.

She slowly turned around, giving Michael a polite smile despite her recent thoughts. "Oh, hey, Michael," she greeted. "I have some time, yeah. Why? What's up?" She didn't walk any closer but stopped and folded her arms as she looked at him expectantly.

seeing her shoulders slouch and then the arm cross he really should get her a book on body launage "Your pretty good at flying arnt you ,could you look at this cuz for some reason it is rolling to the right " handing her the Comet 720

Oh? He was asking her for help with a broom?

Now this was something she may know a thing or two about. It was different from all that muggle nonsense he was usually going on about. She backtracked and came to a stop right at his side, her eyes studying the broom he was holding. "Not rolling to the right?" she asked. "You mean, it won't steer in that direction?"

She'd never tried to repair a broken broom before, but maybe he just wasn't steering it the right way or something.

seeing that at the mention of his problem her mood lifted slightly, he step away and placed the broom on the ground next to him " UP " he told the broom ,wich slowly rose 3 ft off the ground ,wich started to slowly rotate in a clockwise direction until it was upside down " see it just keeps rolling over ,like some sort of dog that wants it belly scratched "stepping aside enough for her to get a closer look "you think I could have messed it up when I crashed landed the outher day " looking rather sheepish at having to admit he had crashed to a girl .

"Hmm good point, my sister could, but she was a terrible person, so probably not." He said laughing

Sierra just stood back and watched as Michael placed the broom by his side and then summoned it upward. It seemed like everything was going just fine. That is, until the broom did just what Michael described it would do--shift to the right and then turn upside down.

Sierra spared a light laugh and small smile when Michael mentioned a dog looking for its belly to be scratched. She walked around to the other side of it and studied it for a few seconds. "To be honest, I've never seen a broom do this before," she remarked. "You should try taking it to Professor Vindictus. I bet he'd know what to do."

He crash landed the other day?! What she wouldn't have paid to see that one happen! She didn't tell him that, though, of course. "Yup, the crash probably did it," she answered. "I'd still take it to Vindictus, though."

Why had He not thought of that,well one reason would be that he had been having a run of bad luck with teachers, "Thanks, I had not thought of that"relasing the broom he watches it settle back on the ground....

"Have I done somthing to offend you.. " normaly the best way to get an honest answer is to catch the person flat footed " It just seams like every time I am around you recoil like I got Dragon Pox or somthing" dont push it too far Mikey "I didnt think it was cuz I am a 'puff your brother is one,and I saw you going to the party on the lake with anouther one.Do you think it is because your rich and I am the son of a muggle paramedic.. "for merlins sake she said she didnt know what a paramed was in hogsmead ..let the girl say somthing ....

Not quite looking her in the eye but close enough to tell if she was going to tell him the truth or somthing that she thought he just wanted to hear.

Jade kept looking at Dan and she started laughing. "Your sister came to Hogwarts?" she asked him.

Nodding in reply to his 'thank you', Sierra gave Michael a little wave and then turned to walk away. She didn't get very far when she heard him start going on about something else. She was the only person standing around him, so she had to be the one he was talking to.

Turning back around, she saw that she was definitely the one he was speaking to. Great. This conversation was just what she wanted right about now...

"No," she firmly answered. She knew why he was asking, but she really didn't have a better answer. She wanted to explain to him that she really didn't get along with Hufflepuffs, not even her brother, but something told her not to intentionally burn a bridge with this boy.

"What makes you think I'm rich?" she asked. She was, but how did he know that?

Because I can count the number of people that go to your dad's place



Cocking his head to the side a bit ,while he approached her " Um ,,,Well .. lets see. First look at you not a thread out of place 1/2 way through the year and your robes are perfect,your brother's too.Second the way you arnt intimindated by those in the school that do have money.I bet you would fit in at any party the the Minister of Magic would host,People that dont come from money dont know how to handle that kind of pressure."

Sierra instinctively crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Michael. How dare he accuse of her of being the perfect little snobby rich girl?! "You don't know anything about my family," she snapped. Sure, he knew the basics, but definitely not enough to be throwing around wild accusations like the ones he was attempting now.

"Is this what you called me over here for--to insult me?" she asked him. She took a step closer to him, the glare still fixed on her face. "You've got one thing right. My family does have money, but we certainly don't flaunt it and use it to believe we're better than anyone else." She was done here. If all he was going to do was throw around wild accusations, then she was so out of here.

"I have to get to class," she suddenly announced, turning on her heels and heading back to the castle.

" Sierria Wait you took it all wrong,running to catch up to her " why do you think that I am trying to get to know you ,It is to learn from you," if she would just relax, " all I was trying to say is that every time.I see you, it is like ...." sighing " look I am sorry if I notice things,and your hard not to notice"
