Sabel's words did leave a harsh mark of possible reality. Was he really in danger of being on Gevrik's and therefore the ministry's troublesome list? Simon shook it off but made a not to pay a little more attention once the man in question arrive and they departed for the party. "You're welcome," he returned to Kurumi noticing the blush that graced her face and hope she wasn't too embarished by his earlier comment since he hadn't meant to have that effect. Spotting Lexi looking at him and waving, the Gryffindor captain, smiled back in return echoing the movement of her hand with his own and then absently watching the treatment she was given by the others surrounding her. It captured his attention until they were rejoined by Patroculus he had seemingly disappeared to quickly change clothes apparently not satisfied with his original outfit. "Well the ministry felt the need to have a member on the staff of the school...only fair to have students in the ministry," Simon remarked in answer to his question before continuing the circuit of the room with his gaze. |
"Yeah, only we're not going to the ministry... we're going to Diagon Alley," Jake pointed out to that Quidditch guy, waving a hello to the other sliiiiiiiiiightly familiar Gryffindor, and looking back to Lexi. "Yeah, that's a good thing," he agreed with her, and then there was a mischevious glint in his eye. "Unless we're the undesirables." Jake winked at that. Nawwww, they were the cool kids, fo' sho. |

Crossing her legs in the camping chair she looked at the arms of it and made a hmmmm noise as she flexed her wrist and performed a quick colour changing charm on it. "There. Pink is much better," she said with a giggle. "When are we leaving for this ruddy party anyway? I wonder if LORD Borr will expect us to have brought him gifts and such?" Lexi said with a curl of her lip. Gifts were to be given TO her, not BY her. |

Acknowledging Jakes comment to Simon's reply, the Prefect added his own to sence, "I find it quite odd that they are not holding the event somewhere in the Ministry it's self, it would seem that Gevrik just wanted to make the security issue harder for himself," a room was easier to secure than the middle of a street..... Somehow, the GIANT smirk on the Hufflepuff's face warned her otherwise. Quote:

Charley nervously glanced around the hall. She seemed to be the only Ravenclaw as well as the only first year. She saw a few people she recognised, but she hadn't exactly struck up conversation with any of them. She took a seat at the foot of the staircase she'd descended. She'd brought some of her mother's brownies; Lauren sent a freshly baked parcel full of them when she heard Charley had been invited to the event. They hadn't even completely cooled when Charley received them. They were delightful, as usual, small, soft chocolate rectangles with pieces of fudge and caramel inside them and sprinkles on top the primary colours of all four Hogwarts houses. Charley left about a dozen in her trunk as she wanted to share with her friends as well, and wrapped the ones she was taking with her in a large green handkerchief that now sat in her satchel along with her Arithmancy and Transfiguration textbooks, a lone chocolate frog, a quill and ink, two muggle pens, a notebook, a novel, and a sleeping kitten. She grabbed the novel and opened it where the metal Ravenclaw bookmark held her place; it was a story about a young girl who struggles to make a decision between marrying her love and staying with her torn family, or going to university to study writing and pursuing her dream. Nearly needless to say it was one of her favourites so far. |
Lord Borr... giving them ANYTHING other than a face full of spit and a nasal invasion from his over powering gas? Yeah right. "Dude... we any of you here when Borr taught here besides Jake and I?" Lexi laughed and asked them. Oh my... they were in for a BIIIIIG surprise if not. |

Nothing TOO expensive for him. Nooooope. Quote:
What was he like? Oh man. "He farts a lot." Oh, maybe she was looking for more info? "And... make SURE you call him LORD Borr... and also, his head is probably figuratively even bigger than before. He'd always on about being busy and important. Best to steer clear if you can... Stick with the staff, I suppose." BUT maybe he was worrying her? "If you want to be on his good side, just be a total suck up. Seriously. He drinks it up." How long had it BEEN since he'd taught, anyway? "Lexi, when was it he taught here last? Were you a first year?" Jake was sure he'd been a third year, so that worked. |

GOSH. AND NOW LEO WAS GLARING AGAIN. D: "I know it iz a mission of being shifty!" He knew that, right? See, SMART. GRIN. "I am shushing." He said quietly and closed his gob. It would also be helpful if Leo moved a bit more so they could move to their next location but Chandler needed to keep these thoughts to himself and just let Leo do the magic. Sir French!Fry? He liked that. Heh. "I know, I know. Zorry." FAIL. BLINK. "Leo, I'm pretty zure no one iz a bad spy, or even a spy for zat matter." Chandler chuckled softly and rolled his eyes. "And who IZ ze bad guy?" He'd really like to know because he honestly had no clue. "Maybe she will. I 'ope she does." He grinned to himself. All they could do was wait and see. |
Tate clattered down the steps into the Entrance Hall, looking expectantly for the small group of students and professors gathering in anticipation of the party on Diagon Alley. Great ruddy bother, if you asked him, which was why he'd only taken minor care to brush up his appearance. Dress robes. Clean shoes. Showered, shaved, and combed his hair. So maybe he'd taken a lot of care, but he wanted to set a good example for the students. "All here?" |
Sabel couldn't help but jump a little when he heard Tate's voice, his eyes snapping over to the man. He had been drawling in his own thoughts and the idle chatter of those about that the Headmaster's presence was a startling reminder of what was going on. Nearly instantly he had slipped off the window sill, while still holding Arya's hand. Instantly a multitude of questions bombarded his forethoughts, and he had to bite his tongue to keep them in. It was obvious from his anxious expression he wanted to talk to the man, but there was a time and place for everything. |
Lexi cringed slightly and hopped up from her seat. "Yessir, all here and ready to gooooo," she said as she steppppped closer toward Headmaster Hottie. Mhm. She was ready. |
Arya had completly zoned out while the rest of the students got to talking about Lord Borr and the gifts and what not. She didn't bring anything for the man, so it didn't pertain to her. It was only when Tate had spoke, and Sabel had slipped from the window sill with her hand that she realized they were finally about to leave. Smiling at the man in greeting, she slowly rose from the sill as well, eyes briefly scanning the area for the other professors. They weren't here, but the all the students were here right? |
Tate glanced to the few students who had joined him thus far, noting their appearances carefully. No one was leaving the school looking less than stellar. He wasn't going to let them embarrass themselves or the school by dressing foolishly. And yup... he noticed the hand holding. He raised an eyebrow but did not comment. "I've heard we have a very special mode of transportation." |
But... Jake thought Tate wasn't going. Ugh. Confusing. "Well, I'm here," he said, heaving himself back to his feet and standing up tall (he was sure he'd never get used to that height). The chair vanished as he stood, and Jake found himself... terrified of whatever socialising he'd have to do. Wait what? "Special?" ... no portkey then. |
Quote:
"You look clean." HAHA. She added towards the man, "Very pretty." Heh. Heh. Heh. She extended her charming smile towards the students. |
Special mode of transport... Ot better not mess up her hair. That was all she had to say about THAT. Pulling her LOVELY cloak tighter around herself she iiiiinched closer to Tatertot... not like... creepily close or anything, but closer nonethless. Heheh. |
After helping Arya down, he returned his attention to Tate, blinking dumbly when he caught the man's eyes. What the arched eyebrow was for he wasn't exactly sure and thought it perhaps had to do with his less than excited expression. That or it was his attachment to Ayra. Heat rushed to his cheeks as he dropped his eyes a little at a sudden realization. He forgot that Tate didn't know; there hadn't been a point in their last conversation to bring it up. Shifting his weight a little, his fingers flexed around Arya's hand nervously; he would probably have to break the connection when they got to Diagon, but for now they were in Hogwarts, and it wasn't forbidden. The mention of a special mode of transport had his eyes coming back up and his brow furrowing. What type of special and how special? As long as it didn't involve flying he was stellar. If it was flying, well, he only trusted Horus and an enclosed airplane. His eyes flicked from the Headmaster to the Healer with nervousness. |
Charley slipped her bookmark into her novel at the sound of Tate's voice, slid the book into her bag, and stood up. She smoothed out her dress robes and checked that her red hair ribbon was taut. She looked at the Headmaster inquisitively. "What do you mean by special, Headmaster? Good day, by the way." She smiled at their well-groomed leader. |
Arya just ignored the look they were receiving as best she could, mainly so her cheeks wouldn't be as flushed as Sabel's, and let her thoughts become consumed with the many methods of magical transportation that there were. And there were many. She was momentarily distracted by her thoughts at the sight of the Healer, and returned the woman's smile with one of her own. |
Simon turned around as Headmaster Tate's voice could be heard asking if they were all there. "Good day Headmaster," he greeted as the man joined them, hoping it signalled they were leaving soon. However with a second glance he noticed a few adults missing like Professor Lafay. "Almost all here I believe," he remarked in answer, his curiousity wondering what very special transportation meant. |
"Special... like... highly illegal, most likely," Tate grumbled, although he did give each of the approaching students a nod of recognition. And Lily got a smirk, which was about all her helpful sarcasm warranted at the moment. "I showered just for Borr, obviously. Now." He gestured to the waiting students. "We're going to go out on the grounds. The Ministry has provided a vehicle that should be waiting near the front gate. Please be orderly and quick. We're already running behind." |
If Sabel's eyes could have popped out of his head, they surely would have. Tate. Headmaster Tate doing something illegal? Condoning it?! The most likely didn't serve any purpose in slowing the blow of surprise and shock. This was just, turning out to be a very strange day already. Hesitating he glanced towards the doors and then back to the Headmaster, biting his bottom lip. Would he be able to catch him with one question, or was that best done on the way? Orderly and quick. On the way he supposed. On the way in what? Glancing down at Arya he tilted his head at the door slightly. "Ready?" No flying. Please no flying. |
Lexi bounced a little when she heard the words HIGHLY ILLEGAL. WOOT. Fun already. Heheheh. Following instructions she started for the doors, her excitement mounting now. YAY for leaving the schooooool. Hehehe. |
