He smiled. "Are you going to do homework already? Not going to rest at all?" he asked, walking over to her and sitting down next to her.

Hmm. Maybe he could do his homework too. Be done with it!

Chloe chuckeled and responded, "This book I am reading is not for homework. Reading things I like helps me relax. Anyway if you wanna do hiomework I have my fortune sticks for Arithmancy and a watch for Transfiguration in my bag. So What do you say Lando? Wanna do somehomework together?", Chloe asked with a smirk.

Feeling a little wierd that she called him Lando, Orlando chuckled. "Its Orlando, really!" he smiled. "And it's a great thing that you get relaxed by reading!"

"Oh suure! Yeah - lets do it. How do we start!" he asked, rummaging his bag to get the sticks and watch out.

Chloe quickly took out her sticks as well as she saw Orlando take his and said, "uh, sorry about that Orlando. So shall I do you reading first then?".

"Wow! Evan! Whoa!" Elle was surprised by the sudden disturb, which almost sent her sprawling to the ground.

Balancing herself on the ledge, she saw the displeasure on the Prefect's face as he read the book's author aloud.

Laughing a little, Elizabeth replied, "No, no Evan. I'm not like other silly girls. I just read his books for entertainment and reading calms me... Lockhart is a big fake, I know,"

Elle whispered to the fellow Slytherin to avoid other students from hearing her wicked comment. "I don't even get charmed by his looks.." She smiled, nodded and made a disgusted face too.

Sophia nodded. All the transfers seem pretty nice. But, some of the firsties got annoying. But, the new Gryffindors weren't. Because they are Gryffindors. Duh. She chuckled a little bit.

The Gryffindor hugged her friend back tightly. "Thats sounds great!" she said, smiling. "I will have to meet some of your friends though." she said, chuckling quietly. She would like to meet people from other houses. She had too many Gryffindor friends....

Evan took a step back and almost bend over to help her find her balance again when she managed to straighten her fall. Oh, so she knew his name... Aha. Pretty. That meant they had met earlier... but he couldn't remember her name. Ahem. Hopefully, he'd get it soon, or it'd be embarrassing.

He smiled at her comment. That was goos news. "Thank Merlin," he mused. "I'd hate to see a fellow house mate reading such nonsense." Naow, she seemed like a wise girl. Why couldn't he remember her name?

He chuckled at her confession. "That's good to hear... mate." Could she understand he didn't know her name? Hopefully not.

"But you should get a proper book you know. That," he nodded with his head towards the book, "leaves a bad impression."

Right! Evanesco was the vanishing spell, how could he have forgotten that!
Hyun slapped his forehead as he watched how Ellie used her magic to make the disgusting quill vanish. He looked behind him to see his own quill laying on the floor but shrugged his shoulders. Mweh just let it lay there.

"Ah yeah, right. i knew that" he mumbled when Ellie smiled at him. He , however, grinned too at the mention of the little firsties. "I like your ideas, Ellie" he said and chuckled.

Hyun rubbed his arm when the girl started to poke him lightly but didn't say anything at first. He just nodded his head as he listened to her how Hogwarts was great and all. "Yeah..i guess, i still prefer Durmstrang though..although i have to admit, this school isn't really THAT bad as i thought it would be." He shifted on one foot and on the other as he thought of something else to say when it hit him. "Hey, the lake as a huge ice skate..thingy..where you can skate.." oh man how to say this?! "You wanna go?" wow so blunt.

There didn't seem to be a better place to start than the beginning. The entrance to Hogwarts and the doorway to the grounds. At least from here he could reach the entirety of the grounds without being turned about and ending up at the same place again.

With a small sigh, Sabel looked down at the watch in hand, running his thumb over the glass casing as a slight frown took over his expression. What he couldn't understand was why there was suddenly all this investigation and integration of muggle studies and concepts into each and every lesson. He guessed the Statue and it's seeming instability at the current moment probably had something to do with the curriculum change, but why things were becoming so drastic he couldn't understand. Part of him wished that there was some transfiguration spell that could point him in the right direction of understanding, to create a compass that would lead to answers. One that pointed north just seemed, at the moment, unhelpful.

Letting out another slow breath, Sabel shook his head slightly to try and clear his thoughts as he retrieved his wand from his wrist holster. Tapping the tip slowly on the glass panel, he drew his mind back to the spell, back to the task at hand. "Comletia. Comletia. Comletia."

Why it took three tries to fully convert the watch into a rather plain compass, with simple direction abbreviations and a red needle to point north, he didn't know, but he assumed it probably had something to do with the lack of unified intention of his thoughts and the wish that he could create something of moral direction. Something he needed to get under control if he wanted to complete the task at hand and increase the complexity of the compass designs.

Shrugging his shoulders to try and relieve some of the dead weight that seemed to have piled up, he turned himself about until the needle aligned with north. At least he could get the magnetism working properly. One down, four to go. With that he headed off into the grounds, towards the pathway, letting the compass revert back to the watch form in preparation for its next transfiguration.

Ellie laughed lightly back. What could she say? She was a sucker for pulling pranks on the firsties. Bahah. Who said Ravenclaws were nice? That's what the Hufflepuffs were for...

"What made you come to Hogwarts then?" She wondered. She smiled when Hyun said it wasn't that bad. Success. She laughed a little. "I hear it's a lot warmer here, too." And what? The lake iced over? "Really?" She asked excitedly. "Yeah, let's go!" She said with a grin.

Noticing Sophia chuckled, the blonde raised an eyebrow. Mental cinema?! Hehe."What are you chuckling at?",she asked smiling.It was good to see Sophia happy. Fee hated her friends sad, that always made her sad too.

Ohhh the Gryffie wanted to meet some of her friends?!Hehe.What about Alex and Ellie and Lux and Justin and and and."Sure whenever you ahve time",the Slytherin smiled,"you have to meet my best friend Alex."They surely would get on well.After all, who didnt get on well with Alex?!hehe.

Ava Jade wandered around the Hogwarts castle by herself. It was good to get some fresh air once in a while, and with all of the homework from her classes piling up nonstop, she REALLY needed one now... She took a deep breath, passing faces -- some familiar, some unfamiliar -- down the corridor. She smiled at some people, whether she knew them or not, but mostly she stared into space and let her mind just wander...until she ran into somebody coming the other way.

Caroline was minding her business walking down the corridor. The fresh air was relaxing. but there were so many students in the same place as her. She seen a girl who would smile at everyone. As the girl approached her and smiled. Caroline smiled back and waved. "Hello"

"Elle Woods," she nodded her head once and smiled at him. "It's alright. Being a prefect is difficult, I know. There are just so many names you have to remember!"

Holding up the book with a hand, Elle raised her eyebrows. "Oh, this book? Don't worry, I don't get influenced easily by phonies,"

Bloody hell, was that too harsh to say about a long dead wizard?

Blushing slightly, Evan nodded at her. Right, Elle Woods. He repeated the name several times in his head to get it straight. "I'm sorry," he offered nevertheless as she said it was OK. Being a prefect and having to remember every name was hard... but he didn't like forgetting names. Better to pay much more attention now.

Laughing, he said "Good. Just as I've expected from fellow snakes..." Hehe. Looking around, he asked "You were new here, right? Did you like here?" Hopefully, he didn't get that wrong too.

Elle shook her head and smiled. Poor prefects. So much stress for them. They needed some break. "It's alright, Evan!"

"Yeah, just my First Year. Loving Hogwarts very much. It's full of darkness, well some parts, and the scenery... so amazing that I'm speechless! The students are perfect-I mean they're good!" Elle quickly added, "I guess it's because everyone's used to unusual things happening, unlike the Muggles in my old school." She recalled moments with her old "friends" who would always snicker and laugh at her for being different and a ... freak. The redhead frowned a bit, but shook that thought away.

"So do you have any projects or activities to do as a prefect currently? Unless you guys can't tell us your plans.. I understand." Elle gave him a toothy grin.

"Hi," Ava Jade replied. She took a minute to decide if she recognized the girl from anywhere, and noticing the green scarf around her neck she decided they had never met. "It's a nice time to just stroll, isn't it?" she asked the girl casually. "I love to just walk around the castle; I always notice something I never have before."

Caroline smiled at the hufflepuff. She nodded "Yes, It's a bit cool, but it doesn't bother me too much" She had never met the girl. "I'm Caroline bye the way Caroline Scott" She put her hand out. "I love to walk around the Castle, too. I always find something different everyday"

Sophia looked up at her friend. "I was just chuckling, because I was thinking about Gryffindor awesomeness." she said, smirking. Yea, she had started to move on a couple days ago. Alexandra was dead and there was nothing she could do about it, so there was not reason to be sad.

"Awesome!" she said, happily. Alex? Wait, she had met an Alex. "I forgot his last name, but is Alex a third year Slytherin?" she asked. "Because if he is I have already met him!" she said, smiling. He was quite nice. "So, whenever you have time, we should go to Hogsmeade." she said, nodding her head.

Seeing as this was the final step in her homework assignment, Sierra decided to move to an area a little closer to the castle. She was getting tired of all this wandwork, so as soon as this last step was complete, she was going to head right back into the common room and plop down on a couch for a while. It sounded like a good plan to her, at least!

So with those thoughts in mind, she entered the corridor that lead out to the courtyard. It was deserted enough, which suited her just fine. All she wanted to do was quickly transfigure a watch into a compass and then move on. She placed her watch on the ground and knelt down beside it. She took a quick glance around just in case anyone had decided to stroll nearby. No on had, though. She didn't know if she'd be so lucky a few minutes from now, though, so she decided to get a move on and then get out.

Once again, she made a small cross shape--top to bottom, left to right. She carried that through with a small circle shape and then gently jabbed her wand toward the watch. This one would require the most concentration, so she filled her mind with thoughts of all the very best details a compass could have. "Comletia!"



Meh. Just as she suspected--of all the terrible luck she could have! She gave her compass a disappointed face just before adding notes to her nearly full parchment:

- Compass took on a yellow color (....yeah, like that house).
- Nevertheless, it has way more details than any of the compasses I've created so far. Although, I have to admit I have no idea what all those details on the outer edge are. I do know that there are many more options on this compass than on the others, though!

Snatching her blasted yellow compass off the ground, Sierra quickly packed up her belongings and then headed back to the common room.

"Hi, Caroline, I'm Ava Jade," she replied, shaking the girl's outstretched hand. "So you're Slytherin? I'm Hufflepuff, as you can probably guess from my yellow scarf and hat." She laughed amiably, then asked, "What year are you?"

"Hey, Ava Jade" She said with a smile. well that will be a easy name to remember. She nodded, yes she guessed the green scarf had given away the house that she was in, as did Ava Jade's yellow attire given away her house. [B"Yeah, it did"[/B] she laughed "I'm a fifth year, you?"

"I'm a fourth year," Ava Jade replied, smiling. Suddenly a co-ed group of what looked like first- or second-years plowed through the corridor, about taking Ava Jade and Caroline with them. "Whoa, maybe we should step over to the side!" Ava Jade said with a laugh. "We're gonna get run over here." She moved over to one of the walls and, waiting for Caroline to follow, leaned her shoulder against the wall. "So what's your favorite class you're taking this term?"

Caroline noddeed, she'd figured that Ava Jade was close in age to herself. She seen the group of first or second years plowing through the corridor. who did they think they were. "Hey watch it munchkins" Gees for first or second years a group of them could knock you for a loop. She nodded when Ava Jade suggested that they move to the side of the corridor. She followed the Hufflepuff. "Well, I like Potions, but I'm terrified of Lafay" She laughed lightly, but anyway her head of house scared her to death."I love charms and artithmancy too. What are yours?"

"Ohhhh Gryffindor is really awesome",Fee nodded,"but you know slytherin is the best."This was a battle none of them would win,but still itn was fun.Tehe.And it was good to see Sophia happy again,so why not make a little fun.

Waaiiit Sophia had already met Alex?!And then her best friend called HER social butterfly.Suuuure."Yeees thats him",she nodded happily,"messy hair, tall,Slytherin third year and most of all freaky."But the blonde loooooved her best friend and his freakiness.Tehe.Hogesmeade?!Fee was soo up for it.Last time she had been there with Hugo.Awww."Sure whenever you have time",mthe second year winked,"last i was with my boyfriend at madame pudifoods."Hugo had been so cute that day, not that he was all the time.Of course not.Hearing those words in her head the girl started to laugh a little at herself.
