He was pretty sure he'd seen her somewhere before.... at the maze perhaps? Collin, or Kyle, or Joey, or something? He was normally good with names, but this time he could only remember that he name was a boy's.
"Erm, are you sure? There are plenty of protective spells preventing Muggles from seeing the school...." He hoped there were no Muggles here, they only brought him back to thinking about the Muggles in the town where he lived. And those were not some very nice Muggles either. | |

Still a bit wobbly on her feet, Arya had taken to sitting in an empty window sill, leaning against it with her bright eyes cast out towards the grounds she'd just ran/stumbled across. She would have talked to Saylen about apparating them, asked her to floo them for the next trip, but her excitement had taken over well before they'd arrived back at the castle.
She needed to find Sabel!
Preferably before she got back to her common room and changed out of her silly school uniform. Holding up her wrist, she let the cream colored bangle she'd treated herself to shine in the sunlight. Shiiiiiny.

When he finally reached her side, he buried his head in her shoulder, rubbing his eyes on the soft cotton of her shirt, attempting to get the sting out of them from the light. "Whatever you have on you...it's really bright. Like...really."

It didn't matter what he had meant or not, it mattered how it had come out. Guilt suddenly seeded within his gut as he searched the disheartened look on her face. She had wanted to do this, had been excited to, and he was acting like she shouldn't have.
Dropping his eyes in shame, he frowned at the brick wall she was perched on for a moment, before moving to straddle it. Facing her, he took her hand in his, resting it on one of his knees. "I...didn't mean it like that Arya. I'm....not used to people just buying things for me. Giving things to me. It...it's strange to be honest. And I feel bad that you spent your money on me when...you'll need it for other things."
Shaking his head a little, he stroked the back of her hand, slowly drawing his eyes up to her. "I'm...sorry. For acting selfish. And I'm grateful." Grateful that he had her. She was all he ever needed, and he hoped she knew that. Knew that she didn't have to get him anything, that she was more than enough.

...he wouldn't get the second til she was sure he liked the first. He gave her a smile and squeeze of her hand. He figured he had probably taken the statement other than she had intended it, but it was hard not to feel that bit of emotion from the way she had said it.
Nevertheless, he pushed it to the back of his mind and shifted a little on the ledge. He was excited to see what Arya had picked out, more to see what she had bought rather than the actual receiving of the gift. For the receiving, he was rather nervous.
When she drew out the first item, he had to blink at it in sheer curiosity. He had never been extremely interested in dinosaurs, but he had to admit... "That's wicked." Shifting forward a little, he took the mug carefully in his hands, turning it this way and that with a great sense of discovery. His fingers brushed over the black painting, a small frown furrowing his brow. "The paint..." His eyes went up to Arya in question. It felt like it could come off quite easily, and all of a sudden he was desperately worried about accidentally scratching it and destroying the lovely gift she had gotten him.

Her excitement was becoming harder to contain as he took the gift, harder to keep locked away until she was certain he was happy with her gifts. She did let a bit of it show though, enough to brighten her expression. "It changes." She scooted a bit closer, pointing at the dinosaur in question. "The dinosaur transforms into a fossil when you add hot liquids." Like tea. Or coffee. It didn't really mater which one he added, she just hoped he would use it and like it.

And a little jealous that he would be able to use magic when summer rolled around. But at least the cup would be clean and still have all its paint.

Her hand was still wrapped completely around the gift as she rested it on his knee. After a quick moment, she slowly turned her hand over, unwrapping her fingers from his gift, and careful not to let the light reflect from it too much. "I know its not as cool as the mug, but when I saw it I thought of you." Maybe when he looked at it he'd think of her?

For a good, long moment he just stared at it, a mixture of thoughts running rampant through his head.
Almost hesitantly, his hand went out to gently touch the surface of the stone, the ball of emotion once again lodging in his throat. Carefully setting down the mug, he wrapped his hand about hers holding the object as he drew her into a big hug. He didn't trust himself to speak and he could only hope that the embrace told her how grateful and thankful he was.

In all honesty, he wasn't sure how long he stayed embraced with Arya, nor was it a concern or care. When he finally did part, he found himself quickly wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his free arm, giving Arya a tender smile. "Thank you. Very much."
