Jaylon turned his head slightly, when he heard someone coming down the hall. The moment his eyes fell upon Cass a grin spread across his face as he watched her make her way over to him. "No, but I was getting tired of standing here alone," he replied, moving his arm as she nudged him and put it around her. "What took you?"

Cassie dropped her book-bag to her feet and let out an exhausted sigh. It had been a very long day and she wanted to unwind. She suppose she was getting the chance to do that now but still, recounting the day's event probably wouldn't help the cause." Sorry about that, I was speaking to the professor after class let out about something important."

She leaned unto him when his arm draped around her and she relaxed a little. Oh yes, this is why she was so excited to come meet up with him. The boy was always good at helping her relax. She smiled and turned her head to look at him." So what do you have planned for the evening Mr. Summers? I am a bit hungry to be honest."

"Don't worry about it. Probably wouldn't feel so stupid standing here if I knew more people," He said. Since he had only just transferred to Hogwarts, he hadn't attended any classes yet. He wasn't looking forward to having to do work again and telling by how exhausted Cass looked, he probably wouldn't be able to mess around like he did at his old school.

Jaylon felt her relax in his arms as he tried to think of something they could do. There wasn't many option of place they could eat at the moment, so he was going to have improvise. "Well since your hungry we should head over to the Great Hall. Maybe grab a snack and take it somewhere else to sit and eat."

Cassie tilted her head to look up at Jaylon. She could understand how he was feeling because her parents were in the habit of moving a lot. Luckily for her though her social side would kick in and save the day. She was never ever really lonely for any long period of time." Don't worry about it Jay, you've barely been here a day. I'm sure you'll be making friends before you know it." She winked at him and linked their arms.

She nodded at Jaylon's suggestion. The Great Hall would do perfectly, then her and Jay could probably go to the lake and do a bit of catching up. The lake was beautiful at this time of the evening anyways so she was sure that Jay would like it." Yeah that sounds good. We can head to the lake and eat there then do some catching up."

Dan walked down the corridor with his hands in his pockets of his jeans.

*Walking out side Matty had his nose in a book and almost ran into someone.*
"Oops, sorry mate."

Selina scuffed her heel along the pathway. She had been swamped with work as of late. Along with their loss the previous weekend at the Quidditch Match Selina was just not in an all together good mood. Now she was sure that Simon and the rest iof the team hated her. She had tried her hardest and perhaps if she had not made that one fowl... no they recovered and it was the snitch in the end. It was always the snitch.

Finally finding herself a seat on a bench Selina sat down and sat her purse on top of her legs.

Violet walked into the Corridor to the Courtyard silently. She was playing with her necklace as she was walking down the long Corridor slowly. Violet was almost towards the end before she saw a very lonely and sad looking redhead. It didn't Violet long at all to realize that it was Selina looking so sullen on the bench. She immediately quickened her step and then when she reached her best friend and sat down next to her on the bench. Violet then said softly,"Hey Sely...Are you doing alright?"

Christopher was casually walking down to the courtyard. He was really confused about some things and he really wanted to release the stress by taking a long walk. He was about halfway fown the corridor when a small red head noisily walked past him before sitting down on a bench. When he saw her face more clearly, he could tell she was upset. He sat down to the left of her and gave her a small smile. "Selina, are you alright?"

Selina looked up and smiled at Violet. Her subtle accents of pink always amused Selina. "Hey Violet."

When Violet began to probe about how Selina was doing Selina merely smiled and said, "He-he... nothing. Wrong? What could you possibly think would be, psh. I mean you are craazzzyyy, psh. Just what? No. Wrong, I'm fine..."

Selina saw Chris and smiled, "Hey there, Chris."

At his posed question Selina deflated, "Obvious huh?"

Violet crossed her arms and narrowed her violet eyes at her best friend saying suspiciously,"Selina Skylar..how many times do I have to tell you you are not a very good liar..Why do you continuously keep thinking you can hide stuff from me..I know you too well my dear.." She then pouted her lips and fluttered her eyelashes,"Pleeeeeeease tell me.."

"Well..... Yeah, basically," he gave her a weak smile. "So tell me what's got you so upset." She'd told him many stressful things before in the seventh floor corridor, so he was pretty sure if she'd tell him, he could handle helping her through whoever/whatever was bringing her down.

Selina let out an audable sigh, "I'm stressed Vi. I mean we lost Quidditch and I've had homework up to my eyes. I know that my Mom wants me to do well in her alma mater, but to get the grades she wants I've had to work so hard and it's so exhausting. And add on top of that all of my I can see the future stuff.... it's just been a lot."

"Life is stressful. If I had known at ten that being eleven would be so much work I would have stayed ten. Ah, those were the glory days. Anyway, it's just been a lot with school and everything especially since I've been working with all of the upper classmen and their studies. It's just a lot and the fact that we lost the game... I'm just stressed."

Violet listened to Selina vent to her about everything was upsetting. And she was definitely sure that losing Quidditch was definitely the worst thing she had to go through, Selina knew so much about it and devoted herself to it, Violet could easily understand why she would be stressing. When she was done Violet looped her arm around Selina's and said calmly,"I am so sorry that you're going through all of this Sely..It's clearly not easy for you...I think what the best thing I think you need to do is breathe calmly and relax..If you need to me to I will gladly help you level out all of your missing homework.."

" I'm sorry to hear about the game; twas a shame. We were so close! Anyway, stress can really affect the way you learn and act. Maybe you should just take a break. Do something fun that'll help you relieve your stress. When I'm stressed I read, or play piano, or any other instrument for that matter. Just do something fun to get away from your studies and social troubles." He still couldn't quite understand what she was going through with all of her Quidditch shannanigans, but school was something he could to relate to.

"Oh! And on a brighter note: speaking of birthdays; I'm turning thirteen tomorrow! March 14, to be exact." Christopher's electric blue eyes were sparkling, and he couldn't help the wide smile on his face. He just couldn't wait to be a teenager!

"Thanks Vi. I don't have any missing homework though. I just have a lot on my plate. Maybe I should just drop potions?" Selina offered brightly, "Yeah that's what I'll do." Selina hoped to Merlin that Violet was unaware that potions was a requirement. If she knew then Selina was sure Violet would never let her drop a required class. Then again sometimes Violet was not the most preceptive person in the world.

"I draw and play the flute," Selina smiled, "You think if I do any of that it will help?"

When he mentioned his birthday Selina beemed, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I didn't know that. Now I'm going to have to owl for something to get you."

Violet gasped when Selina mentioned maybe dropping potions and seeming to be pleased by the idea. She crossed her arms and went to say,"Now Sely, you and I both know that Potions is a required class! You can't just drop it! Look, I know you and Potions don't particulary get along very well, but I think that you shouldn't give it up so easily, just because you don't think you can do it!"

"Yeah! I know drawing can definitely help! My dad used to paint with me all the time when I was younger, it always made me feel a lot better." When Christopher mentioned his dad, he only hoped he'd be able to do that with him again some day, as he was getting better. "I'm pretty sure the flute will help too, though I have no personal experience with it, but then again, all music helps me," he said with a grin. "The flute is lovely, by the way."

When Selina wished/yelled to him a happy birthday, Christopher literally laughed out loud. "Thanks! Yep! Tomorrow I'm officially a teenager." It felt so weird when he really thought about it; it was like watching himself
becoming older from some one else's viewpoint. "Oh no! No! You don't have to do that, really!" The only thing he wanted was a normal life, but only his mum and dad could give him that. "But it was really sweet of you. I really don't want anything, honestly."

Selina sighed. She had been caught, she was hoping that Violet would let her offer slide, "Right, but Violet just here me out. I mean think about it. Potions is a skill that as an adult wizards can do as a professon. If I want a potion I can go down to the apothecary in Diagon Alley and get a potion. Who says that I need to be able to make my own. I mean seriously-"

When he complimented the flute Selina blushed, "Your the first person who thinks it's a cool instrument. Most people just make fun. And about your Dad, I know what your thinking... you'll do it together again. He'll be strong and make it through this."

About his birthday Selina sighed, "Sorry, you're getting something. Get over it. I mean seriously you have friends now who like to give you presents. I wouldn't be worried about me by the way. It's Violet you have to look out for. She embodies go big or go home... and she's your girlfriend."

Violet immediately put her hand up cutting Selina off, but not saying it in a mean way at all,"-Sely, I don't care, you are not dropping Potions..Look I understand you don't like it but you can't just drop it! Isn't that what's part of the whole Hogwarts experience, to learn new things that can help you in the future! Now I find all of these classes very informative and I love learning new things I never knew!"

"Yes, well not all of us are Miss School Spirit over there. I mean seriously what in heaven's name is a Hufflepuff anyway?" Selina asked. She knew that Violet would have a retort. The talkative little blonde always did. The only problem with Violet was she was so beautiful that even mean things came out sugar sweet in her tone.

Christopher smiled. "Then guess I'm the first person who can recognize what's really cool and what isn't." Mean people who made fun of flutes- they weren't cool. When Selina mentioned his dad getting better, Christopher felt better too. He knew she could never really know if it were true that he would survive or not, but Christopher could only hope and pray that she were. "Thank you," he said softly.

Christopher gave an exasperated sigh. "I- you- really-" He began to protest, but the look on Selina's face told him that'd he'd lost this battle and he was getting a gift whether he liked it or not. "Well alright. Oh gosh, I don't even want to think about that." He knew Violet would definitely go all out for a birthday; especially his. She'd probably buy him a sports car or a small house or something, when he'd really be happy with an old Muggle book. "I really only want books if anything; she's going to over do herself isn't she? Anyway, I know I'll never be able to afford anything for her birthday. I'd feel awful if she went out and spent a ton of gold on me, and I could barely afford my school books and robes, let alone a birthday gift." Christopher felt awful. He was the worst boyfriend ever.

Violet couldn't help but giggle a little. Then she went on to say,"I'm not really sure actually...OH BUT I do know that we are particularly good finders!" Violet smiled crossing her arms feeling pleased with herself and then giggled again at Selina.

"Don't worry," Selina assured the now green looking Chris, "I'm just going to get you something small. I mean everyone deserves at least something on their birthday. Besides we both like Shakespeare and Voltaire... maybe I'll do something with that.

"As for Violet, she has a lot of money. I mean that's only because her famliy is old money. She's a LaVeela. One of the first wizard families, but she isn't like everyone else. She may put a lot of gold into your gift or she may make you a mug. Violet is all for that sentimental stuff. And the fact that you can't afford to afford her the same things isn't a bad thing. Because you just being there is enough for her. She isn't that type of girl. She's way to nice to be that girl."

"Sit down," Selina replied, "Anyway, what did you think of Muggle Studies yesterday? I mean I was really into the lecture which is weird because I usually zone out."

Violet was about to go on before Selina told her to sit and Violet smiled immediately doing so. As soon as Selina brought up Muggle Studies Violet's smile quickly began to fade. She then had a worried look on her face and she began to feel a little flustered. Let's just that Miss Le Veela did have a downfall at Hogwarts...and that was Muggle Studies. Not that she hated the class, or the professor, or where she sat in the classroom, it was more along the lines that Violet didn't get it....AT ALL!! Especially because she was a Pureblood and had never seen or heard of a majority of the things brought up or shown. Every time they had class Violet would never understand a word the Professor was saying, she had the most difficult time when he pulled out a tel-tel-telphony..or the-the telly as Selina would tell her. The only thing Violet thought it was for was something you put in the oven. But Violet quickly came out of her daze and then replied suddenly,"Umm..Yes..I-I-I'm sure that-that class should be interesting.." She smiled nervously.
