The boy hadn't seen a good movie since the term started, which had been a few months ago already, so he was feeling rather movie-deprived. "In that case… follow me," said the boy with one of his excited, goofy grins as he began to lead the way down the corridor. He knew just the right place to sit and watch a good movie; actually, he knew two places, but he was afraid the other one might be in use.

As Ava Jade asked how he would spoil the movie, Braeden chuckled. "Well… I mean… Have you ever seen a play?" he asked, turning his head in her direction as he walked, lanky arms still carrying the large pile of books that he didn't even notice anymore now that they were on the topic of movies. "How would you feel if I told you the ending before it even started?" he asked with a chuckle. "It's no fun like that. You have to watch everything from the beginning and try to connect the dots yourself before the movie, at the end, gives you the answer. Some movies don't even really give you an answer to the question the plot revolves on; they leave you hanging, to make your own ending," explained the boy. He wasn't sure if any of this was making any sense to Ava Jade, so he stopped his blabbering there. He didn't want her to regret agreeing to this because he talked too much and made no sense, or something.

Ava Jade followed Braeden down the corridor, even forgetting that he was still carrying her huge stack of books. As they walked, she listened to him explain about Muggle movies, nodding as she tried to understand. "Oh okay, I get it now," she said, but still she wondered what watching one would really be like. She was probably over-reacting...but this was just so exciting! She almost felt as if she was stepping out from the "traditions" of the Lyall family, which wasn't against Muggles but for the most part was pretty ignorant of anything and everything related to them. It made her feel bold, even though she'd done much more monumental things before without a thought.

Plus, there was also the fact that she was going to go on this adventure with a new friend, whom she already suspected would be a really good friend in no time. Of course, there was no telling what he was really thinking -- perhaps he was just trying to be nice -- but she got the feeling that he was genuinely interested in forming a lasting friendship, not just killing time... Or maybe she was still shaken up from their recent adventure; this sappy monologuing was just a bit out-of-character.

"So without telling me the ending, can you tell me what the movie is that we're going to watch?" Ava Jade asked Braeden as they walked.

Braeden turned his head toward Ava Jade as she asked what movie they were going to watch. His eyebrows rose slightly. That was a good question. That was a very good question! What movie did he have planned for them!? In all honesty, he'd been so excited just with the idea of watching a movie that he hadn't even thought about which movie they'd be watching. The options were endless!

"I'm gonna leave that up to you," Braeden decided with one of his goofy lopsided grins. "Which would be your favourite genre - comedy, action/adventure, romance, fantasy, or mystery/suspense?" asked the boy. He wanted to not just show Ava Jade a movie but, preferably, one she would enjoy. He didn't want her first-ever Muggle movie to be the most boring documentary of life or something! She'd be traumatized for life!

Ohh, she had to choose. Now she had to do some real thinking. Listening to the choices Braeden rattled off for her, Ava Jade chewed on her bottom lip and thought for a minute. She would happily try any of them. How could she possibly pick just one?? "Maybe action?" she suggested. "Or suspense would be interesting. Comedy wouldn't be so bad either..." She trailed off, realizing that she wasn't being any help if she just repeated every option he'd given her...

"Let's do a suspense movie," she finally declared. If he wanted her to pick, she would make a decision, whether it be good or bad. She wasn't one for patience or indecision. "I think suspense would be fun," she said.

Braeden raised his dark eyebrows at the younger girl at his side as she decided they should watch a suspense movie. "Suspense, eh?" he repeated. "I can't say I would have expected that from Ava Jade the Valiant," he teased, chuckling softly to himself. "I expected you to go for a hero-saves-the-day kind of movie," he admitted with an amused smile. He was glad she chose suspense, though. He loved suspense and he knew just the perfect movie to get the hairs on the back of anyone's neck standing. Mwahahaha!

"In that case, I've got just the right movie for you," announced the boy with one of his goofy grins as he continued leading the way down the hall almost invisible behind the pile of books he was carrying. "Ever heard of the Room of Requirement?" he asked the girl at his side as he took the path toward the stairs.

Ava Jade nodded in response to his question. "Definitely, my friends and I --" She stopped, wondering if she should continue... Braeden probably didn't want to know all the things they did. He would either never ever ever ever ever ever trust her to cast spells anywhere near him again, or he would assume she must be a thousand times more talented than she was, when really she wasn't even sure how her friends and she had gotten out of so many dangerous situations without any serious injuries.

Ava Jade decided to stay safe, and as she followed him toward the stairs she merely replied, "My friends and I have toyed with it a bit. It's pretty amazing. Is that where we're going?"

Sebastian walked into the Fifth Floor Corridor, venturing over to where the statues were. He studied them for a while, eventually getting bored. He read the little plaques on the statue. "Boris the Bewildered and Gregory the Smarmy." He muttered, raising an eyebrow at the statues then reading the names over again. How do you even get those names to be yours? He shrugged and looked around, seeing if anyone was around that he knew. Nope, just lonely Seb.

Moving and talking statue's should freak him out but they really do for some reason. But he was used to all of these things. For gods sake he was a wizard and all of this stuff was normal to him but the talking statues have always freaked him out and he and no one else knows why it does. If he only knew the answer to that. Then he saw a guy that seemed to be talking to himself. HOLY LLAMAS. Bryce cleared his throat. "Are you talking to yourself?" Bryce asked in his German accent.

Sebastian continued studying the statues, bored to death in reality. There was nothing around here in Hogwarts to do anymore! Suddenly he heard someone ask if he was talking to himself. "Er, no. I was just reading the statue's names." He said with a nod. Did he even know this guy? Probably not, he didn't recognize him. "Do I know you?" He asked, curious as to why this guy was even talking to him.

Bryce looked at him. No he wasn't crazy and nor was he talking to himself. Hehe. Well that's what he thought and most of the time he thought very wrong. Oh my waffle's he was missing One Tree Hill. "I'm Bryce Russell." He said to hom.

"Sebastian Giordano." Seb said with a nod. He noticed his accent, trying to put his finger on which one it was. "Are you from Germany?" He asked him, curiously. If that wasn't the accent then it must be some different form of dialect or something. He turned back around, glancing at one of the statues and then back towards Bryce.

Bryce nodded. "Nice to meet you." Bryce said to him. Bryce nodded. "I am from Germany. I live on the country side of Berlin." Bryce told the funny looking kid. Okay so maybe he was just trying to cheer himself up after the whole ex girlfriend and his five year old sister thing. He was kinda mad.

Jesse. :)

He really liked playing with the statues. Were they animated, they would be very angry with him, though. Walking right up to his favourite statue, he noticed there was still some candy on his nose from when he got stuck on there trying to give the statue a makeover. The statue was an old man in heavy robes. He was holding his hat in his hand and looking straight ahead. Jimbo remembered when he he had to struggle to reach the top of the statue's head. Now, standing at 6ft2 he had no trouble reaching forward and patting the statue on the head.

But he wasn't here to pat heads. Pulling out his wand, he pointed it straight at the statue. Last time, he drew on a mustache. This time - it'd be a real mustache.

Kyle was being her usual quirky self today she had finished collecting random found things. Today she had found a spin top hiding in the first floor, a magical bouncy ball, and a load of broken quills.

Holding the quills in her hand she thought what she wanted to do with the them. She didn't realize that someone was there until she looked up and let out a small squeak. "Sorry didn't mean to disrupt your - thingy." She said pointing at the statue she had no idea what he was doing with it - but she was being friendly anyways.

Looking over at the girl, he didn't lower his wand. "Hullo."

His...thingy. Right.

Giving her a bit of a grin, he turned back to the statue and imagined the type of mustache he wanted. Concentrating, he did the spell and then lowered his wand. He watched at the statue grew a thick brown mustache. Chuckling, he put his wand back in his robes and took out a candy from his pocket.
Opening the package, he put it in his mouth and spoke at the same time.

"No thingies disrupted."

Looking over at her once more, he did a double take. "IS THAT A BOUNCY BALL?"

itsjustjesse 03-08-2011 10:52 PM

Kyle watched as the muscatche showed up on the statue, and laughed a bubbly happy laugh.

"Thats good that I didn't distract you from your mustacheing" She smiled, looking up as he brought up the bouncy ball. "Oh yeah it is, you want it?" She asked smiling, "I just found it on the first floor - bounced into my head." She smiled.

"I'm Kyle Manning by the way - and can I just say you are kinda tall well taller than me and that's nice." Kyle remarked with a smile, she was after all somewhat tall for the girls in her year at a record breaking 5'93/4".

mustaching. Ha.

Oh my gosh. She was just going to give away a bouncy ball? Especially after having FOUND it and not PURCHASED it. She was crazy to give it away, but who was he to complain when he was on the receiving end? Who is this generous ravvie? "YES. I want it." He reached out his hand to receive the bouncy ball.

Wait. Her name was Kyle?
...that is totally weird.

But shoot. Who is HE to say?

"My name's Jimbo. Jimbo Farley." Kinda tall? "I'm practically a giant." Especially when he stood beside someone as small as Wesley. Or a first year. Oh man. Those kids were tiny.

itsjustjesse 03-09-2011 04:32 AM

Kyle nodded, "Here you go then" she smiled handing him the ball, with a chuckle. "I have a feeling Peeves probably was the culprit who threw it at me - he likes pelting people with things." She joked.

"Nice to meet you Jimbo - is that a nickname by anychance...I know for me my full name is actually Kyleigh Manning- but I like being called Kyle its earlier to write too." She nodded, blushing slightly as she said her full name to him - well leaving out middle names of course because those weren't entirely important.

"And I don't know if I'd call you a giant, persay - I've seen taller I think - my dad's friend Mick is nearly 7' tall." She nodded - but then again Mick was half-giant so that probably didn't count.

Oooh, Kyleigh. See, that made more sense. He'd been wondering who would name their daughter Kyle.
"Yeah, it's a nickname. My best friend gave it to me when we first met. Said my name was too long." But Jimbo suits him. At this point, even his parents let it slip a couple times, even though they still insisted on calling him Benji. "My full name is Benjamin Farley."

Seven feet? Whoa. "But...that's your dad's friend. I'm nowhere as old as he must be. So, it's not the same, really."

Taking the bouncy ball from her, the first thing he did was throw it against the floor.
Which really was a mistake.

The bouncy ball shot from the floor to the ceiling, to the wall, hit about three statues and bounced down the hall, out of sight.

Crap. He wanted his bouncy ball.
Looking over at the girl, he grinned. "You up for a run, Kyle?"

"A run?" She replied in a playful tone, "Sure thing - you want the ball don't you?" She inferred, smiling "I get it they are fun."

Of course he wanted the ball. It was super cool looking, bouncy and free. Who wouldn't like it. You know, besides Kyle, apparently. Even if she did admit that bouncy balls are fun. Especially ones with confetti on the inside. And magical ones, like this one seems to be.

But he couldn't dawdle any longer. Taking a deep breath, he looked over at Kyle - a look that said "Are you ready?".

Then he ran off.
