"Ah..." Simon said, a look of understanding crossing his face as it gave clue as to where sh was coming from. "Yes I am...of the gryffindor team," he confirmed a nod, the last bit a little unnecessarily on his part since the colors of his house lay on his robes as well. "So how are you finding Hogwarts? Is it anything like your old school."

"That's cool." She said. "I love watching Quidditch." She said. "I'm liking it." Evangeline said. "It's not really like my old school, no. Hogwarts is bigger, with more people. It's really beautiful here, the castle and the grounds. I'm really looking forward to visiting Hogsmeade."

"Hopefully, at least." Jim agreed to the getting smarter part. "If not then it just proves how much I suck." Actually, maybe he should mess up with this helping out thing for that reason.

"Why does she hate me?" No, really. It was entirely possible it was starting to bother Jimmy a little bit.


"Close enough." At least she was thinking in the right direction and all. Jimmy grinned at her.

"Because its called a Galdr." Obviously. Heehee. James was tempted to reach out and grab her pokey tongue. And it was a little different to a spell like what they knew. Or a lot different. But same general idea at least.

"Yes...." Thats... pretty much what he'd just said. Jim gave her looks and then reholstered his wand.

"Anything else in particular you wanna go over?" Or was she done?

Jim's distraction was caught by the clicking. It was habit. He knew it was heels. Heels = girl, regardless of whether or not he happened to be sitting with and tutoring his girlfriend, he still instinctively turned his head.

Oh. It was that purple haired girl. Satine.

She was kind of interesting. Different.

Nice girl.

If it wasn't the library he'd have said hi probably. But it was the library.

Not like he belonged there or anything, but from what he knew, you were supposed to be quiet and all. So he just watched her for a bit, speculative, while Marie was... whatever she was doing. Daydreaming?

"I had a little look around, just so that I start to know where everything is," Beth said looking up from the page she was reading. "How about you have you been exploring?"

"Oh yeah!" Emily laughed "I havn't explored every floor or the grounds yet. But after the feast I went up to the common room and explored 3 floors! Not bad for the first day!" she laughed again, then carried on reading
"Have you been to the common room yet? I didn't see you up there..." she asked, not looking up from her book.

Satine had that feeling that someone was watching her...ooo creepy...she looked around tentatively and saw Jim sitting at a table with a girl...wow Jim in the library that was a little bit of a shock that made her smirk and giggle a little bit. She waved and winked at him quickly. She fought the urge to go over and say hello, but she just didn't want to click over that far.

"Yeah, but it started to get crowded so I walked around for a bit longer. Then I found the library and decided to do a little bit of research into species of magical plants," Beth replied, "And it was deffinatly a good idea, I mean I have learned lots and I really enjoy it." She carried on reading only glancing up occasionally. "This place is so big we could have been in completely different places couldn't we."

"What?" asked Emily looking up from her book. She had been fasinated by a chapter in her book about dragon eggs.
"Different places? Oh yeah! This place is big. With 7 floors, the grounds, quiddich pitch, and secret passage ways..." she went back to reading

"Did you just say secret passage ways?" Beth asked, suddenly interested. "Why does a school have secret passage ways? And also how are they secret if you know about them?" Her book lay open on her lap but Herbology could wait, Beth wanted to hear about the secret passage ways some more.

"Oh, everyone knows about them!" Emily said looking up at Beth "My sister told me, but everyone already knew about them. Of course, as soon as the teachers found out about them they sealed them up. But my sister says there is still one somewhere"
Emily turned the page of her book but didn't go back to reading
"There was one behind a statue that lead to Hogsmede, but the teachers sealed that. And there was one behind a tapestry, but that caved in..." she ticked them off her fingers as she spoke
"Havn't you heard the story of the chamber of secrets?"

"Emily, I'm a muggle born, do I really look like I know anything about the chamber of secrets?" Beth replied with a smile. "So tell me about it then?" She added, scared her answer had sounded too harsh.

The library wasn't exactly Mia's favourite place to hang out. She preferred to be outdoors but seeing how the weather was a little chilly, she figured that she would stay inside. And the library was quiet and she really needed to get a head start on some things.

So with a book on charms in hand, Mia made her way over to the windows and sat down on one of the comfy chairs. She looked at the colors the windows were making on the floor before leaning back and opening her book.

Finn really hadn't been to the library for a long time, because of one main thing really, but he had decided that he probably could do with getting a few books out, not that he was actually going to do that much studying this year, seeing as he didn't have any exams this year. So that was why he was in the library now, with a couple of books in his hand.

That was when he spotted Mia. Ooh perfect. He hadn't seen Mia for a while, so they could have a good catch up hehe. So with a grin on his face Finn made his way over to her. "Hey Mia."

She had only managed to read a few lines before getting bored and her attention started to wander on to other things. Mia, let out a small sigh. No wonder her magic skills was abysmal, she could not focus on anything for more than five minutes.

And just when she was deciding on whether she should try again or just give up altogether, one of her favourite people in the whole wide world was there. "Hey Finn. How is everything with you?" It had been too long since she had last spoken to him.

The stained glass windows. Finn remmebered the last time he had been here. It had been another argument with Lexi. He was glad that was part of the past now, everything was much better. And now Mia was at the stained glass windows, and he was going to get to talk with her again. Epic.

Finn grinned, and sat down next to her, placing his books onto the floor carefully. He didn't want them falling over, not when he knew that the librarian was rather scary. Finn smiled at her. He had missed her, one of his best friends. "Everything has been very good." Things were definetly on the up.

Turning to face him fully when he sat down, Mia immediately noticed the look on Finn's face before her gaze shifted upwards slightly and she took a quick glance at his aura.

Her gaze went back to his eyes and she returned his smile although she gave him a slightly curious look. "Hmm, something tells me you have things you want to share with your best friend."

Mia dropped her book onto the floor also but she wasn't as careful about it as Finn had been. "And call it a sixth sense or what have you but I take it there is a girl involved?"

Finlay laughed, shaking his head at her. She really knew him too well didn't she? And it was quite funny. He frowned a little as she dropped her book to the floor. "You know the librarian will kill you if she sees you do that." He laughed, nudging her a little. But then he thought about what she said. Oh yes. He did have things to share with his best friend. She'd be the first too know too, because he hadn't even told Jimmy yet.

"Well...." Yes. Mia definetly knew him far too well. "Yes. It is about a girl." He laughed, slouching in the chair a bit more. Ara Noir. Yeah. She was pretty epic. "I have a new girlfriend." And how epic wsa he now. Very, that was the answer.

Mia looked down at her book and with a cheeky grin on her face, she picked it back up and then gently placed it back onto the floor. "Is that better?" Although she did glance around the room to make sure that the librarian wasn't anywhere in the vicinity. Mia really didn't want to get into any trouble.

Ahhh her friend was in love. Mia could see it on his face before he even uttered the girls name. She lent back in the chair and kicked her feet up onto his lap and grinned again. "Well don't keep me in suspense. Details please and don't leave anything out."

Finlay laughed. Yes. They were totally epic. "Oh yes. much better." He smirked at her. He knew she probably wouldn't have gotten into trouble, but he just liked teasing her. He was mean like that. hehe. But the librarian wasn't around though, so they were both fine. No getting in trouble for them today.

Finn eyed her carefully as she kicked her feet up onto his lap. He rolled his eyes, resting his arms over her legs. "Maybe I want to keep you in suspense." He smirked, purposely not saying anything for a few moments. "She's called Ara, and she's a slytherin." He really had a thing for them now didn't he? "We just got together." and they were totally epic. Just like all things about him were.

It was always amusing to watch Finn's reaction to the things she did when around him. But hey if you couldn't be yourself around your best friend then you may as well just shut yourself away some where. And besides the two of them had been through quite a bit together, Mia felt comfortable with him.

When he had finished speaking, Mia let out a small snort. "Is that what you call giving me details?" She shook her head at him and leaned forward a little. "Where did you meet her? What does she look like? How old is she?" She fired off the questions like a bullet while trying not to laugh. "And how much do you LIKE her?"

Because as a best friend she needed to know these things. And maybe because she was just a little nosy.

Mann. Finn really had forgotten how nosy Mia could be. Finn eyed her carefully, before shaking his head. "You are far too nosy Mia." He grinned at her. He didn't mind it to be honest, because they were close, so it didn't matter that she was poking her nosy into his business.

"I met her on the train." He began, with a smile. That had only been a few days ago, but it had been nice. "She's blonde." Which was his type, and pretty typical of him. He liked blondes a lot. "She's the same age as you." Heh. He had a thing for 5th years so it seemed. He grinned at her though, maybe he should've been like this when she told him about Nik.

How much did he like her? Well he didn't just asks anyone to be his girlfriend. "Enough." He smiled. Yeah. Ara was special to him.

"That my dear. Is what best friends are for." She threw him a wink before settling back against the chair again, grinning at him. Man she missed it when they spent too much time apart. They should set up an hour or two each week and get together so they could chat and catch up.

Mia nodded as he gave her the details she had asked for. Of course she was blond. Finn really did like those blond girls. Kinda made Mia feel all sorts of special since she was a brunette and all and he liked her. Not in that way of course.

"Enough?" She asked with a small laugh. "Either you don't want to jinx this relationship or that's your subtle way of telling me to mind my own business."

Finn laughed, shaking his head. They really needed to hang out more often, because this was really very fun. "True..." He grinned at her. He was totally going to nosy into anything she did in the future, just to get her back. hehe. Because was such a great friend like that.

Did he not want to jinx the relationship? Well yeah, that was kind of true. The end of him and Lexi had been horrible, and he really didn't want to go through that again. But he knew that Ara was different. So....things were going to go well. He shrugged at mia. "Probably a bit of both." Because his best friend really was far too nosy.

But now he was going to turn the table back on him. hehe. "So...how are you and Nik?"

"Stop it, you don't suck. You already said yourself that I'm doing pretty good here and I happen to think you are a great tutor." No one else would have been able to keep her this focused on this subject for this long.

"Why does who hate you? Evelyn?" Marie asked a bit confused. Where had that come from? Then she remembered mentioning that she stole points from Ev. "She doesn't hate you. She just hates the fact that she can't get to you like she does other people. She kinda prides herself on being able to annoy others, and well, from what she's told me, you didn't let her bother you." She leaned over and gave him a kiss. "Don't let it bother you. She'll come around eventually."

"Close enough? That's not what I want to hear. What if that comes up on the exam. I'm sure I won't get points just for being close." She said starting to feel just a little stressed here.

Grr!

Why was she letting this get to her already? It's not like her OWLs were tomorrow.

"Fine, that's what it's called." She said wrinkling her nose at the name. Still didn't mean she would use it though.

Still gazing at the golden sparks that were quickly fading in the air she snapped out of it when Jim asked her if there was anything else in particular she wanted to go over. "Uh no, I think I've had enough for one day." Actually she had enough for a week but she wouldn't tell him that. Besides, now that the lesson was over that meant they could move on to the after lesson... right? "So, did I pass? Do I get to be dis..." She stopped mid sentence though when she realized he wasn't even paying attention to her.

Hey!

WHO was he looking at and WHY was he looking at her? Well this was NOT acceptable. Not in this lifetime. She knew he was going to look at other girls but geez, did he have to do it while he was with his girlfriend?

Looking over at the girl she seen...

OH. NO. SHE. DIDN'T.

That girl did NOT just wink at Jimmy.

Well now, it looked like it was time this girl realized he was off the market and not available to other girls anymore.

Turning back to Jimmy she gently grabbed his face, turned it back towards her and leaned forward seizing his lips with her own, lingering long enough for the staring girl to get the picture that this boy was taken. "I think I've had enough of the library today. We need to go somewhere a little more private." You know so she could give him a real kiss and not have to worry about anyone watching them.

She threw her things into her bag and stood up ready to get out of there. She was so ready for them to be alone now.

Okay so she knew that she wasn't the smartest tool in the shed but Mia could certainly take a hint and knew when she was butting in on something that wasn't any of her business.

Placing her finger to her lips, she ran it across her mouth as though she was zipping her lips closed. "Gotcha. No more questions." For now anyway. Mia knew that she wouldn't be able to help herself and she would bombard him later with more questions. But he didn't need to know that.

And bugger!!

It was his turn to be nosy. Mia shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "We're good, I guess. Haven't seen him since the summer holidays and I won't be seeing him until Christmas." Which really sucked a lot.
