Finn grinned, already know that she'd want to meet Ara. Probably so that she'd be able to bombard her with questions too. That was soo Mia. "Awesome." It would be cool if Mia and Ara could be good friends, seeing as Mia was his best friend. It would be cool. He glanced back over at Ara, just to watch her for a bit. Did Mia know Ivan too? Maybe they oculd get introduced too. hehe. "Lets." He smiled, before wandered over to Ara, and the little group that were other there.

"Hey guys." Finn nodded towards the other two girls, before smiling at Ara. Now he probably would've kissed her now, but seeing as they were in public he'd leave it, unless she kissed him, which would be totally fine. "Hey Ara." Finn did hug her though.

Blinking at the closed textbook, Sabel turned his eyes up to Lexi, ducking his head a little as she patted it. "With you? I don't think work and play can ever be synchronous. Wrinkles or not. Botox or not. Noggin or not."

With a sigh he closed his books and stacked them, pushing his chair back to get to his feet. "Though I suppose it's go willingly or be forced to go. Knowing you, you'll cast a non-verbal and have me levitating after you and I'll smack my 'pretty little head' on more than one stone archway."

"Well see, that just isn't true, Sabel. I find it easier to retain information if the delivery is a bit... stimulating. FUN makes me learn," she said with a grin. Duh. Why did he think she loved DADA so much? Tatertot was ALWAYS doing something fun and exciting.

Starting to shove her books into the bag she stopped and pouted at him. "Well you don't HAVE to go. Thought it might be a change of pace though. Actually having fun, you know. Not having to worry about... weird stuff. I can certainly go by myself though," she said in a bit of a huff.

Not that she was MAD or even disappointed. He was right. He was going to have fun. She would GUILT him into having fun. WILLINGLY.

A grin broke out onto his face as he paused in stacking his books. Reaching over, he poked Lexi in the side lightly again. "Lighten up Denver. I was just teasing." His grin widened as he flicked his fingers lightly along her side, trying to find her ticklish spot. "You don't have to pout. Considering you were the one mentioning things being all serious. It's hard to think of something fun if you've got a frown weighting on your face. Makes your lips harder to move too."

He was poking her again. Hehehe. Then he did it. TICKLING HER. Giving a flail and a SNORT at the same time she began to giggle uncontrollably. She would SO get him back. EVERYWHERE on her sides were ticklish. There was not a spot that wasn't. "Oooookay. Stop. No more tickling," she said breathlessly as she broke away from him.

"And for the record... that was not a real pout. Not really. Just trying to make sure you came to play," she said with a wink as she hitched the bag up on her shoulder. Groaning slightly she looked at Sabel and poked her lip out again. Big strong boy... carry the bag PLEASE.

Lexi's giggling had Sabel laughing, and somewhere in the back of the mind he recognized it was a very good thing that they were leaving the library. Any minute now he expected the attendant to come around the corner and tell them to hush it.

Drawing his hands away from her sides, he reached for her bag about the same time as she hiked it onto her shoulder. He couldn't help but roll his eyes with a big grin. "You dofus. You don't have to guilt me into carrying anything for you." He wiggled his fingers on her shoulder to indicate that he was more than willing to take the weight. "Asking works just as well."

"Oh, thanks," Cedric replied, merely blushing about the girl's commendation concerning his er, good memory. It wasn't really hard remembering people's names, you know. It wasn't like he meets new people everyday.

Cedric's dark eyes started to wander on its own accord. He caught sight of Lexi with a boy he didn't know. He smiled at her direction. Then he turned to Ara once more. "Cedric, yes." He was glad she remembered his name. How he loathe those reckless people who can't remember other people's names--well, chiefly his name. "Things are going great. Just visited the Abraxans yesterday. They're fun, jovial creatures." Hmm.. what's next? "Um, how about you?"

And then he noticed Mia with the Ravenclaw prefect guy now trotting in quick paces toward them. He watched as the Ravvie prefect hugged Ara. It perfectly seemed he knew the beautiful blonde, what with the hug and all. Err, was that just a friendly or brotherly hug? Could be.

He pinched his eyebrows in deep thought, wondering what sort of connection the Ravvie prefect had with Ara but soon stopped thinking about that matter. "Hey," he greeted the guy back and gave Mia a warm smile. Mia is lovely... was she already taken?

"Well... sometimes guilting works well too. Can't ever tell with you boys," she said with a snort as she let the bag slide off of her shoulder into his hand. "You, Sabel Dakest, are a gentlman. Which, I have come to realize, are hard to come by around here," she said with a little grimace. Boys. They would surely be the death of her.

Alrightyyy where to? Hmmmm. "Where you wanna go? Our head of house is going to be real upset if we keep causing a ruckus in here," she said with a snort. Really she would. "To the grounds maybe?" she suggested. With a little wave in Cedric's direction and a little wink to Ivan she began to make her way to the exit.

Still shaking his head with a grin he took the pack from Lexi and shouldered it. "Not so hard to come by as...hidden? I think? Maybe." Hmm. He'd have to ponder that. Perhaps it was a perception thing. Either way, he gave a slight shrug. "Needless to say, thank you for the compliment."

Shifting the weight of the bag properly onto his shoulder, he fell in line behind Lexi. "Dunno. You're the master planner. Lead on."

Ara was talking with the Hufflepuff Prefect when she heard a voice call out her name. Her green eyes looked up just in time to see Finlay reaching over to hug her. She jumped up from her seat and instantly her arms flew around his neck. Obviously she was happy to see him. "Hey there, handsome," she kissed him on the cheek, then remembered they were in public!

Oops! She giggled under her breath as she turned around to talk to Cedric, though not taking her seat. She liked standing next to her boyfriend. "You know, I have never seen Abraxans up close. Maybe we can go check that out sometime." Though it would have to be after tryouts as she was not going to miss Finn doing anything athletic.

His eyes on Lexi as she was messing with Sabel he found himself frowning slightly until his attention was caught by the Hufflepuff guy. Nodding he stretched his muscles, "I'm a fifth year." Then more people came and he looked at Finn with a nod, "Hey," and smiled at the girl with him. Well there little group was sure growing in a hurry and here he had come to study. Go figure.

Giving up on the studying he closed the book in his hands and dropped it on top of the stack with the rest of the books. Yup so much for that. His eyes caught Lexi leaving with Sabel but seeing the wink in his direction smiled slightly. She was close to him he knew that. No need to get all jealousy. Looking at the girl with Finn he stood up always the gentleman, and held out his hand, "Hi, I'm Ivan." No need to be rude after all.

Standing a little behind Finn, Mia watched as he embraced his girlfriend and she couldn't help feeling a little wistful. Ara, sure was pretty and she seemed to be very smitten with Finn which of course made her happy. It was good to see her friend smiling again.

Out of the corner of her eye, Mia spotted the Hufflepuff Prefect and she returned his smile. "Hello Cedric. How are you?" She asked politely as she stepped away from Finn and Ara to give them a little privacy. And because it made her miss Nik that much more when she watched the two love birds.

Now that she was out from Finn'a shadow, Mia noticed another boy there as well and he was introducing himself. She took his hand and gave it a small shake. "It's really nice to meet you Ivan. My name is Mia." She threw a mock glare in Finn's direction for being so caught up with his girlfriend that he had forgotten to introduce her. "I hope we're not interrupting your study time."

Cedric vigorously took Ivan's outstretched hand and firmly shook it. "It's nice meeting you, Ivan," he said, his eyes following Ivan's which fell upon Lexi. Hmm. They seemed to know each other and a confirmation would practically make it known. He was on the verge of asking the fifth year if he actually knew Lexi but then Ara spoke and he gladly turned to her.

"Sure, sure. That would be fun," Cedric said with a shrug. And perhaps Lexi could come with them, no? It was her who had this brilliant idea of meeting the winged horses and naming them as if they were theirs. Cedric's lips sort of quirked on the corners. So the Ravenclaw prefect was Ara's boyfriend, huh? They looked good together, perfectly made for each other and all, and he just so simply hoped that the hug and kiss on the cheek was enough.

Perfectly at ease sitting on the cushion, Cedric felt like taking a nap. He repressed a yawn and attended to Mia. "I'm fine, thanks."

Finn laughed as she stood up, throwing her arms around him. Well at least everyone in the vicinity knew they were together now, unless they were pretty stupid. "Hey." Finn smiled, squeezing her as they hugged. Mmm. Finlay liked hugging Ara, although he could feel that he was getting slightly distracted, which was bad seeing as they were in public. Better leave the intense snogging till later. haha. "How're you?" He asked her, pulling away, but slipping his hand into hers. That'd be enough contact for now hehe. Finn didn't exactly want the librarian to come shout at him, especially considering that he was a prefect. It would not be cool.

He glanced around at the rest of the guys, noticing how Ivan had wandered over to Lexi. Ahh. That was kind of awkward, having the ex here. But ahh well. Ara was here too, so that really didn't matter at all. But they had been studying? Opps. Maybe it was a bad idea that they had come over, but they were here now, so it didn't matter really. "You were studying?"

Jaina sat down in a seat. She looked around to see if she knew anyone. Nope! she thought. She opened her book and proceeded to read.

Ah! Beatrice and Benedick you have such a wonderous and light hearted relationship. she thought as she read on. Her red curls hung down and embraced her face as her blue eyes skimmed the words merrily. This was her favorite thing in the whole world!

Ara sighed happily, intertwining her fingers with Finlay's. She knew there was another person with Finn, a female who seemed to introduce herself as Mia. She was all about meeting new people, especially the boys. She nudged Finlay, wanting to make sure he would introduce them at some point in this conversation.

"I would like you to think that I was studying, building up my brain power in this vast Library at Hogwarts," she giggled, squeezing his hand. "But, I have to confess that I just arrived when Cedric and Ivan walk up moments before you and your friend did." She gave him a wink. "Lucky me."

She turned her attention towards Cedric, Ivan and Mia who seemed to be starting up a conversation amongst themselves as if they were giving Ara and Finn their own little privacy for the moment. "Actually, Cedric and I were about to make plans of walking down to CoMC and visit some of the animals." That just sounded like fun, something to do. It was amazing how different Hogwarts was compared to her last school.

Ivan smiled as Mia took his hand and nodded, "Pleasure to meet you Mia." He bit back a chuckle as he saw the glare that she shot at Finn. Nice to see someone giving him a hard time. "Oh I think it was a lost cause really," he said sticking his hands in his pockets with a shrug. "Seems distraction comes more often than not when I try studying," that time he did chuckle and gestured to the seat beside where he was sitting, "Please, feel free to sit if you want." Yup always the gentleman. Sitting himself again he looked at everyone else.

Ugh...animals. Well as long as they didn't leave behind fur on his clothes he could do that he supposed but the thought almost made him cringe. He still didn't get how Lexi talked him into some of the things she did but he didn't seem to care AS much about getting his clothes dirty with her or he played it up a notch just to annoy her. "That sounds..interesting." As long as he didn't have to touch them that was.

Mia raised an eyebrow at Cedric. Well apparently the Prefect wasn't the talkative type. In fact he looked as though he was about to fall asleep. She didn't know whether to be offended or amused by his behaviour. "Well I'm glad you're good." A small smirk touched her lips as she added. "Don't let me keep you awake or anything."

She glanced back at Finn and Ara and she almost rolled her eyes. It seemed her friend was too distracted to introduce her to his new girlfriend. And that was the whole reason why she was over here in the first place. Mia really didn't want to interrupt them but she did want to meet the girl. When she managed to catch the blond's eye, Mia smiled at her. "Hello." She said finally deciding that she would make the first move.

Returning Ivan's smile, Mia nodded in agreement. "Yeah I seem to have that problem too but then I am easily distracted." At his offer of a seat, she smiled again and stepped forward and taking the seat beside him. "Thank you."

She blew a few stray hairs from her face and turned slightly to face Ivan. "Are you new to Hogwarts? Or have I been my usual oblivious self and not noticed you before?" Knowing Mia it was the latter, sometimes she missed things that were right in front of her face.

Hearing Mia's voice did kind of bring him back to reality. Oh. Yes, there were other people here. He smiled at his best friend. He had totally not forgotten her, not at all, mainly because he knew she would never let him do that. "Oh yes..." He laughed, glancing between the two girls. It was weird how he had a funny feeling that these two might become good friends. It would make a change really. "Mia meet Ara, and Ara meet Mia." Finn smiled, motioned between the two girls. Yup. They were both totally going to be friends.

"Well....I can help you study." Finn mused with a smile as he looked down at Ara. She would probably need some help studying with her owls, and he was totally up to spending time making sure that she passed them all. "As long as its not herbology...I'm pretty lousy at that subject." He had failed his owl in that subject. haha.

Pretty lousy at Herbology? Hah. But Herbology's a very understandable, likable subject. It was his best. And it just so happened that one of his prejudices was for those who weren't good at the said subject. And to think that the guy was a Ravenclaw. Well, he guessed each person had his/her own weaknesses. He never ceased to flunk History of Magic. Deciding to show your prejudices was to, at the same time, earn you enemies, Cedric dropped the thought of saying something to the guy.

Ara spoke. A perfect timing to let his random thoughts die away. "Indeed. The animals could really use a pretty sight." And by pretty sight, he, of course, meant Ara. What he said was rather silly, he thought. He didn't even know why he said that when all the while, he knew that the animals were already using a pretty sight. Professor Saylen, that is.

Cedric cocked his head to one side, and practically gaped at Mia in utmost disbelief. Did he look like he was about to sleep and all? And was his eyelids fluttering quite much, indicating his lousiness impeccably disguised in drowsiness? Gaining composure, he chuckled, "Well, I'm wide awake now, you see, now that you are here." Yes, that was kind of true. Hence he repressed his yawn, albeit unsuccessful.

Ivan smiled at Mia a genuine smile and not the polite ones he always wore with new people around. "Well seems we have something in common," he said with a chuckle. Seeing her sit down beside him he moved the stack of books to his other side and nodded, "You're welcome."

He listened to the conversations around him as Mia got introduced to everyone. "Yeah I am new so know it's not just you. I was home schooled before, actually with James until last year when he came here. He's my best friend." Did she know James? Well if not he'd explain sure. "Everyone's been fairly nice." Well aside from a certain Slytherin that he would not discuss. Giving a shrug he leaned back and smoothed out his sleeve out of habit rather than necessity.

Mia gave Finn a look. Oh she would pay him back later for forgetting her. She turned towards the blond with a smile on her face as Finn made the introductions. "It's very nice to meet you Ara. Finn, has told me all about you." Actually he hadn't. He had been keeping tight lipped about Ara and that made Mia think he was actually quite serious about her. But she decided that pay back would start now.

Biting on her lip to keep from laughing out loud. The Prefect was quite the character. Mia may not be the smartest person but she was not stupid. The boy had been falling asleep even though he was pretending not to. A smile tugged at her lips at his words. "Is that a compliment, Mr Prefect?" She asked in teasing voice.

Listening as Ivan spoke, Mia's eyes lit up and she grinned at him. "Seems we have more in common than just being easily distracted. I was home schooled too before coming here." And then he mentioned James and Mia chuckled. She was pretty sure he was talking about the same James she was thinking about.

"Would that be James Wilkes? I know Jimmy. Quite well actually." She chuckled again. "Small world huh?" Mia looked around at their little group for a moment before focusing back on Ivan. "So do you like it here?"

Ivan watched the interaction between Finn, Mia and Ara and had to bite back a laugh. Had he completely forgotten about the friend he dragged over here? His eyes went back to Mia and he looked at her thoughtfully. She was assertive, he liked that.

Hearing her speak to him again he smiled, "Really? Well that is cool. For how long?" Wonder what else we have in common. He pressed his lips together though he still smiled blocking the thought. He had a girlfriend he can't flirt around like he used to. Oh a little flirting never hurt anyone. Okay so he was going crazy his own conscience was playing devil's advocate.

Thanks for the distraction he nodded, "Yeah it is." Though he still and will always refuse to call him Jimmy it made him sound like he was ten and he didn't understand why James liked it. "It is indeed. I'd ask who else do you know but since I only know a handful of people that's not going to be very beneficial." He smirked and crossed one leg over his lap to get more comfortable and still look good. "I do so far. Like I said I don't know many people and I'm not fond of the classes but it beats listening to my mum complain all day about what I'm not doing right or my lack of interest in...well everything except girls if you listened to her," He chuckled and gave another shrug.

Ara smiled towards Mia as Finlay finalllllly introduced them. She was beginning to meet new people, something that was right up her alley as her knowledge of students was almost nothing. "It's nice to meet you," she began, listening to her next words, looking at Finn then back to Mia. "I...umm...wish I could say the same." She really didn't know much at Finlay much less his friends, though that was going to turn around and quickly. "Though I hope that he has told you the best about myself." Vein much? Yup. She giggled under her breath, cupping her hand to her mouth as if she were laughing at her own personal joke, at which she was doing just that.

Her eyes then darted towards Cedric as she almost couldn't understand the words he spoke about the animals. Yes, indeed they needed to see something pretty and she was glad to hear, or hopefully, understand him right in what his words meant. "I dare say that I agree with you, whole-heartedly. A beautiful sight is what they need." And if the group of them went, the animals would catch a beautiful sight of all the students.

As the conversation went on, Ara couldn't help but notice how Ivan and Mia seemed to chat amongst each other. There was nothing wrong but watching Ivan seemed to be entertaining. Boys were interesting, or at least to her they were and when around a pretty girl, it was fun to watch them twitch, or act as though they were trying to hold something back...feelings. "Finn, I know that you want to join us in visiting the animals as well," she squeezed his hand, smiling in his direction.

"Mmm...about three years. I came here last year. My dad didn't really have the patience to keep teaching me especially since I tended to set things on fire a lot." She almost burst out laughing when she remembered all those times and the look on her dad's face. It wasn't good to laugh about something like that, she could have really caused him a serious injury. Mia did however chuckle softly. "And because we couldn't afford it until now." She shrugged her shoulders and grinned at him.

Her eyebrows shot up when Ivan spoke of the classes. "You don't like the classes? Why is that?" Mia's lips twitched a little when she noticed the way Ivan was sitting and then laughed when he spoke of girls. "Ahhh...you really are Jimmy's friend, aren't you?"

It must be a Ravenclaw thing.


Giving Ara a warm smile, Mia gave Finn a quick glance before looking back at the blond. "I would say that's because you have got him so bedazzled that he has forgotten the rest of us."

Hehe...oh yes payback for you, Finlay Carmicheal.

Mia nodded her head at Ara. "He has spoken very highly of you. It's finally nice to meet you." And it was because this lovely girl made her friend happy and she liked to see Finn happy. "So how are you liking Hogwarts, so far Ara?" Small talk for now and then Mia would start getting peronal. Hehe..
