Ohhhhh the stained glass window.Last term Fee had walked here to think a lot. It was so beautiful and such a peaceful place to just realx for a little bit .Sometimes even a Feenella Schwarzberg needed time on her own.Sounded pretty strange she knew that.

Taking out the book she got the blonde sighed.How could it be that she had missed this place so mich? Everything around Hogwarts was so magical and beautiful.You instantly felt at home.No wonder that castle was the most popular wizarding school in earth.

Emily had found the room she new she would pratically live in all year!
She loved to read and this place was just so cosy, full of books on nearly everything!
Emily took at seat near one of the windows and looked at the beauty of the stained glass window. She then opened her book and began to read.
She was in heaven!

"Hi," Beth said as she sat down in a seat nearby Emily. "What you reading?" she asked as she opened her own book. Beth was reading up a little bit on Herbology because it had sounded like something she could be good at.

Emily jumped up when she heard Beth's voice. She had been so indulged in her own book, so had forgot other people were here as well!
"Beth! Hi! We have to stop losing each other!" she laughed quietly "We'll have to keep down voices down in the libary! Anyway, I'm reading a book on dragons. I don't really care for them, but I'm just trying to learn as much as possible about... everything!"
She smiled at Beth. It was good to have a friend who wouldn't think that was wierd.
"What are you reading? More about Herbology?"

Roxana smelled the books and the paper and was attracted from this smell as always. She entered the library silently and steped to the stained glass windows. There the black haired sat down and pulled out the book she was reading right now. The taled of Beedle the Barde. Since she was a little one she loved those tales and never stopped reading them, even though she was now almost a grown-up.

Ok so to his credit, Simon had done his best to stay out of the library for as long as he could before classes actually started. He wasn't called a bookworm for nothing all in good fun by his friends and aquaintances. But after wandering around the castle looking for soemthing to do in his spare time and not running into anybody he knew or could plan something with he found himself in the large ceilinged familiar room. Strolling quietly down the aisles between the stacks the gryffindor captain found himself by one of the stained glass windows and took a seat in the window seat, the light of day refracted by the colored glass.

The library... was not Marie's favorite place to be.

Coming to the library usually meant studying and that was something she was not ready to do just yet. However, this being her OWL year she figured she might as well start getting use to being there. So here she was, in the library sitting on one of the cushioned window seats.

No books or studying... just sitting there trying not to freak out over how important this year was for her.

So asking people where Marie was, it wasn't like he'd expected to be directed towards the library but here he was and Jim spent a good few moments looking around before he found her.

"Hey." He greeted her with a smile and sat down right next to her.

Riiiight next to her.

DADA, Arithmancy, Charms, Potions, maybe even CoMC. Those were the classes Marie felt pretty confident about when it came to taking OWLS. Herbology, Divination, Muggle Studies, Transfiguration, History of Magic. Those she knew she would need to study a bit harder for. However... Ancient Ruins and Astronomy, they scared the crap out of her.

These were all thoughts running through her head when someone snapped her out of her day(mare)dream interrupted her thoughts. And what a welcomed interruption it was.

"Hey." She said as she moved just a tiny bit so Jimmy could sit next to her. No point in leaving too much space between them now was there.

"Getting a head start?" Jim asked, kicking his feet up on the small table and shifting one arm around her shoulder as he relaxed into the seat.

Except...

"I don't see any books..."

"Yeah, sorta... I guess." Marie said as she slipped a arm behind his back and snuggled closer to him.

"I'm trying to get myself prepared to study for OWLs but it's not really working." All she was accomplishing now was making herself a nervous wreck. What if she totally forgot everything she had learned over her time at Hogwarts... what if she completely bombed her OWLs? What if her boyfriend thought she was an idiot if she didn't pass all of them?

Gah!

Why did she have to be a fifth year now, why couldn't she already be in her sixth year?

"Like, the right mindset you mean?" Jim eyed her curiously. Not like she had quill and parchment there to plan a study schedule or anything.

"... you need any help, I don't mind."

"Yeah, just trying to figure out in my mind what classes I need to study in the most." And which ones she could slack off in cuz she didn't want to spend the WHOLE term just studying. She did have other things she wanted to do too that didn't include school work at all.

"Thanks, I'm sure I'll need all the help help I can get... once I figure out exactly where it is I need the help."

"Well.... my best subjects are Herbology, Potions and... Runes." And well, she already knew hew was no slouch at stuff with his wand. And Flying and Muggle Studies were up there too but... they weren't exactly the kind of subjects a person needed tutoring in. He said all this quietly since after all, in James' world it was better that people didn't suddenly develop expectations and start demanding he work to his potential. No thanks. It was so much better just to... coast.

"So... what do you suck at?" Grin.

"My best subjects are Defense class..." Especially that last class they had. "Potions..." when she wasn't walking out of class. "and Charms."

Whoa... did he say Runes was one of his best subjects? "Really... Runes?" She asked with a bit of a smile. Maybe all hope wasn't lost for her on this OWL after all. "I know that is definitely one class I will need help with. You aren't by chance any good at Astronomy are you?" Because yeah, that class made no sense to her either. Or maybe it was just the professor. She just had a really hard time following what he was saying.

"You mean what do I suck at other than those two classes...? Studying. I so suck at that. I get easily distracted when I study." If there was anything worth while going on around her when she was studying then all hope was lost on her getting any studying done.

Yeah, she needed someone to sort of push her along sometimes.

"So... you alright with Transfig. too?" She could definitely handle a wand, but then Transfiguration was one of those subjects that had levels to it, and some bits were tricky and some weren't so much. Jim caught a bit of her hair between his fingers and played with it gently.

"Yeahh... Runes. Don't say it too loud." He glanced around. Astronomy? "Yeah I'm not bad. Passed my OWL at least." Heck he passed every OWL but that wasn't gonna be shouted from the rooftops anytime soon.

"If you suck, you're probably doing it wrong. Its not actually all that hard." Its just sometimes boring without the right inspiration.

"I do okay with it. I wouldn't say I was an expert by any means though." Heck she wasn't an expert in any of her classes. If she was then she wouldn't be stressing about her upcoming tests... that were still several months away. Feeling him play with her hair she put her other arm around him and hugged him as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, I promised I wouldn't let anyone know your secret." She said in a hushed voice. "Well maybe you can help me with that class too." She said upon hearing that he passed his Astronomy OWL. Actually she knew he would be able to help her with all her classes if she needed it. But if he helped her with Runes and Astronomy then she knew she would be able to handle the others... of course she would never turn down his offers to help her study though.

"Maybe I just need the right person to show me how to do it right." she said looking up at him with a raised eyebrow and a grin. "You wanna be that person?" She whispered just before placing her head back on his shoulder and giving him a quick kiss just below his ear.

Oh yeah, she would so let him teach her how to study... especially if it was gonna be anything like them studying together last term.

Evangeline stepped into the library, and smiled to herself, glad that she'd found the place she'd been wanting to find. Because although she was interesting in exploring everything inside Hogwarts castle, she was particularly looking forward to find the library.It wasn't easily visible on the surface, but Evangeline loved library's and reading, and was at times, a bit of a nerd.

But before walking over to the book shelves, she decided to go over to the stained glass windows. As she got there, she saw a boy there and smiled at him. "Hey."

"Weeeeell, we can practice together whenever. The Transfiguration practical was pretty full on for the OWL, more than Charms was at least. Not hard just... More ways to mess up." Not that he thought she'd mess up, "You know, if your nerves got in the way of your focus and intent and all." Which his hadn't, obviously.

Obviously.

"I will."

Jimmy grinned back. "I can be but... " He trailed off when she kissed him. "If you want my help for real, we'll do it properly okay? No distractions... maybe a bit of inspiration, but definitely no distractions."

If she was trusting him to help for real, he really WOULD do what he could and he wouldn't let her down.

"We can start right away if you want."

"Oh great, just what I need... more ways to mess up." As if the test anxiety she already had wasn't bad enough, now she had to worry about how many ways she could mess up the Transfiguration practical. "Right, nerves... probably something I should work on." Her biggest problem wouldn't be that she couldn't do the practicals, it would be her nerves getting in the way.

"No distractions... like NONE at all?" She asked now looking up into his eyes. No distractions meant he was really going to make her... study? She knew this was exactly what she needed. Someone that wouldn't let her slack, someone that would push her to do her best. She just didn't like what she knew.

" Fine, we can start now. Do I at least get something to look forward to when we're done studying?" She asked looking at him with a sly little smile creeping across her face.

"More ways to prove you're awesome." He corrected, moving his hand to the back of her neck and giving her shoulders a quick rub. Tension already? Chiiiiilll. It was like 9 months away.

"Right. No distractions but inspiration is all good." Jimmy grinned. He inspired her, right? He pretended to consider her question and then snuck a kiss.

"So... Runes. What are you stuck on?"

Lexi was making her way back toward the Herbology books when she heard and saw Jimmy and his blonde girl thing, Marie. Sighs. She really liked Jim, her, not so much. Shrugging to herself she only stopped when she heard Jim say something about Runes. Oh! He was good at Runes? She was SO going to have to ask him to tutor her... just not in front of Marie. She would probably blow a gasket. Walking nearer the two she smiled and gave a little wave as she passed. "Hey Jim. Marie," she said as she went on past. Yep, he was going to be her tutor. He just didn't know it yet.

"Me... awesome? If you say so." Alright, she knew she was pretty awesome at some things but taking tests wasn't one of those things. She let herself relax a bit when he started to rub her shoulders. But then it ended.

*pout*

That wasn't enough, she wanted more shoulder rubbing. She knew she wouldn't get it though because that would be a distraction. A distraction James seemed determined not to be to her. "Yes, inspiration is good." She said smiling after kissing him back. "Is that a preview if what I have to look forward to when we are done studying?" If it was then bring on the study session...

Which he did. "Right, Runes. Well, I just don't get how they work. I mean how can some rocks or stones or whatever they are do the things the books say they can do?" Yeah, she felt really dumb for asking that one but really, she just didn't understand it.

Huh? Jim looked up.

"Oh, hey Lexi." He grinned and waved back, then turned his attention back to Marie.

Oblivious boy.

"I do say so. I don't snog just anyone." A little faith, please. Marie looked pretty today, he'd noticed. Not that she wasn't always but... well, he noticed. S'all.

"Of course. If you pass." He grinned at her but then went a bit more serious.

"The elemental magic part you mean? Like, invoking the runes as spells and wards and all that?" Well that stuff was easy enough, and wicked fun too.

He leaned back, hands supporting his head as he thought about how to answer.

"Okay so you've got your wand right? And the whole deal with that is its a way of focusing magic and all. The bits you need are intent and focus, the words of the spell and the wand movement yeah? Think of runes in the same way; you can use 'em like talisman or a tool to focus certain sorts of magic, it still comes from within you but its connected to the rune itself."

He glanced at her, wondering if she followed any of that.

"The cool thing about invoking a rune, and channeling the magic through it is that it can be more lasting than just casting a spell with your wand. Heck, Hogwarts is protected by runes you know, a lot of the wards and stuff that keep it hidden are rune based and they're right in the foundations and have been since the place was built. But you're limited too. With your wand you could cast whatever spell you wanted within reason, but with a rune you're limited by the kind of magic that resonates with that individual rune symbol."
