Maisie laughed, " I'm glad so, some people like to be evil here, but I can't imagine why..but there's only a couple evil people here, the rest are normal!!" she said happily "and I'm sorry you can't swim! That must suck!"

"Amy!" Maisie screamed loudly as she hugged her best friend, she looked around, "hello professor!!!" she said happily in the same tone as Amy "well yes cause I get to be with all my best friends aka you and joey.." but also there was Meredith.. She looked around for her but couldn't see her

"Oh, dont worry about that! I'm sure you'll be great! Just try not to think about that when you try out! Just pretend you are not trying out, like no one is watching you. Just have fun!" Meredith gave an encouraging smile. She was so very happy to have met Katie. "Oh that would be great! Thank you so much!" Meredith said happily. She gave Katie a hug and smiled. That was too nice of her!

Meredith giggled. "Hahaha, really? Thats pretty funny." She smiled. Adam was amusing. He was very interesting, not in a bad way at all though, a very good interesting. She liked it. Though she mentally sighed about the slytherin gyrffindor rivalry. "I still hate that you know, the fact that gryffindor and slytherin were rivals. Oh really? Well i guess im not like most slytherins" Meredith gav a little smile. "Hmm, thats weird, good i guess though"

"Hi!" the boy said... Noooot exactly who he was talking to... But why not???

"Why, yes, I am Quidditch captain." Had Aaron NOT been dating Iris, he may have said that in a more... cool way. But, no. "Will you be trying out for the team?" If not, you should.

Aaron looked around to notice the Head of House right by. And of course, he was very thankful for his position. "Hello, Professor Lafay," He said to her happily. He had never been on her bad side, plus he was good at potions... Hopefully, he got a happy response in return!

"Well I think you look exactly your age.You haven't seen me because we weren't friends last year, but I was all over the Hogwarts grounds chatting it up with my friends."He said smoothly.

Then he heard that Dianna had heard his name, but they had never spoken before.He looked the table up and down and found Katie talking to many people .

"Really?That's weird... Did Katie Star mention me...? We had a lot of trouble together last year."He said in a whisper, though the hall was buzzing with people talking of summer, friends, family and houses.

"Yes you are a very different slytherin...I mean some slytherins are mean- but I don't really see the rivalry anymore- maybe Quidditch..."
Adam began thinking that Meredith was the chatter box type, but the thing was she actually had something to talk about, at least he was having fun with her at the moment.

YAY.

Katie was so exited cause now her ickle firstie friends could try out! "Thats great to hear, my friend will be so exited" Katie said, yay yay yay! This was gonna be awesome!

"Okay, thats alright, I was just wondering so I could see if I had time to practice with my friend" Katie said smiling, she might as well practice while she could from now on then.

Katie looked back at Magic!Mery and smiled, ohh this girl was a great friend "I'll try, thanks Magic!Mery" Katie said as her smile came back to her face, "I'll be up early in the morning before classes so I can practice and maybe after classes as well before the try outs, would you like to practice with me some days?" Katie asked, she knew that was heaps but she wanted to be seeker sooo much.

Hecate was still lallygagging around the Slytherin table--in Lulu's opinion. It could also be considered as stalking her future prey. Patterson, fully aware of Hecate Lafay's sinister prowess did her best to remain seated where she was without drawing attention. It was hard to breathe with the cloud of cootie explosion surrounding Ara Noir and Rooster Prefect. Ara talked about her as if she wasn't sitting right next to her, albeit a napkin keeping their hips from touching each other.

Sir Robin had grown bored of trying to catch the Slytherin prefect's attention and was now curling itself around Lulu's neck, holding on firmly to its owner. Gagging once more, Lulu rolled her eyes.

There was another Professor nearby too, with some mirrored shades on. Lulu cast him a sideways glance too. Robin seemed excited, and crawled over Lulu's head, chattering loudly and sniffing the air.

"Don't do it, Robin!" she hissed. "If you get caught, I'll let him skin you for a winter scarf!"

Sierra could just see it now. There would be a howler arriving at the school any day now, and it'd have her name on it. It'd have her father's voice, of course, and he'd announce to anyone and everyone with ears that he was highly upset at her for disappointing him in such a way.

Brown eyes met brown eyes as Sierra once again found herself staring right at the woman who was so angry at her for doing just that in the first place. "I apologize, Professor Lafay," she calmly said. "My father says to tell you hello."

"Yes, I know what you mean. I was in a school that was rather similar. Hogwarts seems rather cool, lets just hope I don't get lost." She said, with a smirk. She knew she wouldn't, though. She'd never admit to getting lost, anyway.

No one knew just how difficult it was to keep the smile off of her face at the moment, and to actually look disappointed in the girl. So difficult. Did she feel proud or something? Satisfaction because the girl called Rex a dog like they did? Or the promise that she was just…too easy to influence. Merlin, where was Destiny?

However much she tried, Evelyn finally ended up letting a tiny smile slip up onto her lips, before speaking. "Yea, that's the dog for you. Weird guy. Can't understand him in the slightest." She nodded, frowning for a moment as she glanced over to the Gryffindor table. As if her gaze would suddenly locate him, pfft. No, not him. Another Gryffindor.

THERE he was. "You should stay away from him though." she muttered, turning her attention back to the Slytherins. "He has a knack for being completely annoying."

What in Merlin's name-

WHO was asking them this NOW!? And with that tone of voice?

Scoffing, the Slytherin girl was just about to answer however, Sierra beat her to it. Not only did she answer, but gave her a piece of information that she had not known. Truebridge was the Ancient Runes professor? Huh, was she sure? She didn’t see the other Ancient Runes professor from last term anywhere now that she thought about it. Actually, there were quite a bit of new faces, replacing the faces that she had already begun to get used to.

Kingsley wasn't there. Nor was Dodson.

…And this kid had a death wish. "Do you mind?" she scoffed, staring at the goblet he just took a sip out of. Hehe, tough luck for him. That was Marie's cup.

Aaron didn't respond, but he smiled at the excitement of the girl. HE knew Quidditch was exciting... Well... of COURSE he did... All he said was, "Good!" very cheerfully.

"That's okay. I ENCOURAGE questions...." Anderson you encourage lots of things....

Meredith smiled,she didnt want to be a typical slytherin so she was pleased of herself that he said that. "Ah, well thats good! So, whats" but then she stopped and thought for a second. "I'm asking too many questions, aren't I?" Meredith asked. She tended to over due stuff. "Look, if i ever ask too many questions or wont stop talking and need a rest of it feel free to tell me to shut up, i wont mind" Meredith smiled

"I doubt you'll get lost, stick by me and you'll be fine. Besides, us Americans have to stick together." He grinned slightly then looked up at the staff table, noticing that a few members of staff looked rather intimidating; course he wasn't scared. The only thing that scared Matt was a crazy wave.

"Aww. Thanks Adam." Dianna smiled.

"Oh. Um.. I think she may have mentioned you before.. Maybe.. I don't really know. Anyways my memory is really bad." she smiled. Well not really. It's just that she didn't want to stir any trouble. Not in this term she didn't. "I think we may have seen each other before though.. In a friend's house maybe?" she said with a hint of sparkle in her eye.

"I don't really think I'll get lost either, but sticking with a fellow American doesn't sound like such a bad idea." Evangeline said. "So, how do you know your way around?" She asked.

"Actually...I don't like getting asked a lot of stuff. But this is fine- cause it's nothing too personal. Keep on going...I love chatting with you."He smiled, motioning for her to ask him something else or to continue on with the conversation.

"Of course Katie might mention me to all of her friends..."He said in a sardonic tone.He looked away back to where Katie and Meredith had been talking.

"Yeah my memory is going cahootes also.
Really? Who's house, because to be honest with you Dianna, I do not remember seeing you anywhere at all..."He said.

Runes. Lamar's eyes scanned over the man, as if he were a human x-ray machine. "I always found runes to be very irrelevant. Father says that they are all myth's." Head aloft, the second year strummed his fingers on the table.

"Better than muggle studies I suppose."

Way better.

Extending a pale hand to his new companion, the boy flashed a sinister smile. "Lamar Woolfe. I don't believe we've met." Or had they? Perhaps she hadn't been important enough the first time enough. Regardless, she managed to make the list this time around.

Piercing blue eyes shifted to the other girl. "Mind what?" He said, sipping from her Goblet one more time, then observing it. "OH. This must be yours. My mistake." But of course it wasn't.

"Tell me about Truebridge." Lamar demanded yet again. "If he is not adequate my father will hear of this. My education is more important than this man's payroll... obviously." He was going to be a star.

"My cousin basically made a map for me, so I studied it over the summer and know this school inside and out. But of course it'll be more fun exploring the entire school eventually." Matt didn't want to talk anymore about Raven but he knew that it would all come out at some point so it may as well just come right out now.

"Well then as long as I'm not alone," Jamie said smiling. She sighed and took another bite of food and looked around. She also listened as he told her about his family and nodded. "Well you have what sounds like an amazing family." She beamed and then said,"So, when you do look at the stars what shapes do you see?"

There was this awkward silence for a while between Dianna and Adam. Honestly, she too can't remember who's house or when or if it really had happened. "Oh never mind.." she said after a while of thinking. "I guess this is really the first time we've met." she said smiling.

"It will be nice to see you in some classes though." Di added as she grabbed a piece of toast and ate it.

"Well that would help." She said. It would be good knowing some people who knew their way around Hogwarts. "You should show me around sometime, then. We could explore Hogwarts together." Evangeline said.

"Hello Professor Lafay. I'm sure we'll be seeing eachother every day. I'm Benjamin. Benjamin Trevors, first year. I look forward to our lesson's. I have a feeling you'l be teaching all of a part of your vast knowledge in Potions."

Benjamin smiled as he greeted herand nodded his head towards her.

"Yeah probably is our first time talking to each other."He said shrugging his shoulders. Then his stomach growled and expanded on the inside, he was starving but at a Slytherin table. He felt like it would be horrible taking away their food.

"Yeah...I never went to classes last year...But I'm turning around a new leaf this year...Maybe 4 classes a week..."He said. Better than going to one and then not doing anything at all in the class.

...and there was that smile again. In the last hour, Sierra had learned to very leery of a Slytherin and their smile. She knew all too well that a smile from a Slytherin wasn't necessarily a promise that all was good and well. Nevertheless, she decided to give Evelyn the benefit of the doubt and smiled in return. After all, things seemed to be coming along just fine.

...especially after that close call with the Gryffindor known as dog.

She even found herself nodding along as Evelyn said that she should stay away from that boy. The last thing Sierra needed was for her fellow snakes to associate her with the wrong sort of people. "Oh, of course," she confidently said. "I'm certainly no dog walker, after all."

Her mother would have grounded her for millenniums over that comment. Her mother wasn't here, though, was she?

Her attention was suddenly diverted from Evelyn and comments about walking dogs, when a hand was thrust into her line of vision. She followed it to see that it belonged to that boy who'd scooted down to ask about Professor Truebridge. He'd also been the one to make that hilarious comment about Hufflepuffs back when the feast first began.

She mirrored his sinister smile and reached out and grabbed a hold of his hand. "Sierra Greingoth," she said, "...and I see we have similar opinions on certain topics." Lamar Woolfe, despite the fact that he'd just taken a sip from someone else's goblet, was exactly the type of boy her father would want her to hang around with.

"Your oh so very welcome!" Meredith laughed when she heard herself say that." Okay, i have know idea where that came from!" She giggled and smiled. "Woah! Thats awesome! Really good idea! It shows real devotion and how much you want this! It's awesome." Meredith smiled. "Aww, that would be really great!!! Thank you so so much!" Meredith smiled. Even though she just met Katie it felt like she had known her waay longer!"

"Oh, okay, good to know." Meredith said. She didnt mind getting asked personal questions herself, but she could totally understand why someone wouldn't. "Oh, well okay, cool, thanks" Meredith smiled. "Okay so, back to quiddtich, have you been playing quiddtich for long?" Meredith asked

Dianna nodded. "You know, it's no crime to eat here at our table." she smiled. He just seemed hungry that's all.

"You should attend potions sometime." Di suggested. "I mean Professor Lafay can be kind of.. cool sometimes you know." she added while looking around hoping nobody else who wasn't supposed to hear it heard what she just said..
