Come and send a note or letter using your own owl or any of the school owls. Owls line the walls in nooks and on branches. Pellets and belladonna berries are on the floor.
By the time Caroline would find her last thing on the list she would need one of those muggle hover-around chairs to get back to the dungeons to turn her final in. She got to the top of the Owlery. She seen her owl, snowball, sleeping. There was no need to distrub him. She lean up against the wall, she could do for a nap, too. She rested agaisnt the wall for a moment.
After all she only needed to find one more thing before she would be done. Although she still rested, she scanned the room looking for the last thing she needed. After she felt okay to actually move and look around better she found the last thing she needed. Perfect. She grinned and put it in her bag. Now back to the dungeon to turn it in.

Yeeeeesss. Breezed. SO MANY STAIRS. She totally luuuved bounding up stairs!!! So having skipped aaaaall the way up to the owlery, she swept in and BEAAAMED at all the owliiiez.
Cherry didn't have an owl. Her mam said she couldn't have one until she learned to be responsible. Buuuttttttt. That wuz okay. Cherry could just HUG the school owliiiez until she got one of her own.
!!!!!
She peeeered on the floor and then GIGGLED. PrettyDragonProfessorMadam was SO CLEVERRRR. Cherry used a biiiigggg hanky to SCOOP UP the item. Then she eyed a random owliee and made cute faces at it and sliiiiiid out of the owlery.

Well if she was going to hve him sifting through the owl droppings ,and thinking to him self she is sitting in her dungon smirking her lil hart out I bet.then out of no where Bubba his owl drops it in the bag with a how sad are you look and flys off.ticking number 4 off and wondering if he should shower he decides to press on cuz no telling where he would wind up by the end of it all
Scavenger hunts were never his expertise and so he could only sulk at the fact that Potions Final would be spent hunting. He was beyond appalled and disappointed at the absurd, sudden cancellation of NEWTs--how could he get to study Horticulturing at a Wizarding university without NEWTs? Potions is always a subject a student must be good at to be involved in the Herbology field. If he actually did great in this finals in sheer luck, perhaps he might be accepted into a Wizarding university after all.
Cedric put the Owlery under his stern scrutiny, which is to say under his squeezed eyes, searching for potions-related stuff. Sooner, he found himself grinning at a seemingly wonderful sight of the thing he was looking for.
He took it, put it in the bag, scratched a number off his list, and left the place.

Vashti didn't come to the owlery often, not having an owl of her own to visit or anything, but of course, she was going to a few places that she didn't normally go to for this final. Maybe that was a good thing, exploring more of the castle.
Buuut she couldn't focus on that right now. She had just a couple more items to go, and she really wanted to get done. And this one - it didn't take long to find. She scooped the item up, set it in her bag, and left the owlery.
Only one more to go!

Selina ran up the never ending stairs to the owlery. She had to see Hermes before she set off on her next journey for Potions. It seemed like she had scaled every part of the castle to find the items, but only one had popped up and that had been when she was least expecting it. Was she the only one who had not found what she was looking for.
When she reached the top she whistled for Hermes. The small bird swooped down affectionately to her and Selina gave him a treat. Once the bird was satisfied she gave him the letter, "To Whitley Hall. It's for Dad."
The bird flew off and Selina walked out. She felt a squish beneath her feet. Had she just stepped in...? No. That was not owl dung... it was better.
She grabbed the item and threw it in her bag. Potions final here Selina Skylar comes.
The owlery. Spike didn't have an owl of his own, but sometimes borrowed a school one to send an occasional letter to his parents. Very occasional - say, once per term? Well, it wasn't as if they ever had anything interesting to send or say to him.
He looked round, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary. There was lots of poop, and many different types of owl, and some food. Hang on, what was that? Looking at the two items left on his list, Spike could guess what it was. And he sure hoped none of the owls were hungry. He very carefully picked one up, and dropped it into his bag.
"So long my feathery friends..." he said quiety as he left the room.
Rex noticed the owls looking at an object that was lying on the ground. It seemed that the owls did not like it, but Rex thinks it's the right thing so he puts it in his bag and quickly leaves.

Eirian climbed up to the top of the owlry with great difficulty. She wasn't sure why she was here, but a pad of paper was stuck in her hand, and in the other a quill and ink. Her hand itched to write, but who to she had no idea. There was no one left in this world that would want to get a letter from Eiri; she was sure of it. Perhaps she would write to Nekoda? They were destined to hang out over the summer anyway... Maybe they could party at her manor for a while. It'd be lonely, with no grandmother, no Jay, no Thi... The entire summer she would be alone and unloved. How did this befall her again? Without an answer, Eirian sat against the wall and began to write her letter to Neko.

Nika made her way to the owlery. She was out of breath already and this scavenger hunt wasn't even over yet! Nika looked around to see if she would be able to find something. Nope just poop and berries. "WAIT BERRIES?!" Nika picked up a few berries before realizing that it is exactly what she is looking for. AHA!

Tiredly, the gray screech owl flapped it's wings continuously, loosing it's strength slowly. It hadn't been a long trip, but the owl wasn't use to flying too often. It mostly spent it's time going wherever it pleased. But this time, it had a real job. A letter to deliver. It made Buzz proud to know that his owner had given him a task to carry out. Buzz was entrusted with a very important piece of paper and it would get to it's destination without delay.
Finally it's eyes landed on it's destination: Hogwarts.
As the three year old owl approached, it already knew where it's recipient was. That was owl instinct. It guided him to a very familiar place: The owlry. Hooting a "hello" to the rest of the owls in the area, the young grey ball of feathers entered through the window of the tall stone tower, not really taking notice of much except for the only person in the room.
He flapped his wings quickly, helping the small bird of prey to slow down so he could land. As he did so, he extended his legs, stretching out his claws in the process. He immediately stopped flapping once he knew he was close to the window sill and came to a soundless stop.
This human had the same expression as his master. He tilted his head curiously, and hopped down from the ledge, bouncing over toward the young human, curious as to why she looked like this.
He then hooted softly to alert the weird being of his presence.

Eirian nearly shrieked as an owl approached her and... what was the English word? She'd say it yelled. Yes... that fit. Stupid owl. The Brasileira hated the dreadful creatures with giant eyes and necks that rotated too far around. They were symbols of the cold to her, drab replacements for the beautiful tropical birds that she had grown up to. Her own scarlet ibis was no longer in the owlry; it was too cold for the poor bird, and she had to send it to freedom in South America.
But this owl... it wasn't just the usual loathsome feathered fiend. No, it was much worse: Jayce's owl. That blasted thing that his ex-girlfriend and convinced him to get, despite his fear of the bird. Eirian hated this thing even more than the rest. But... even so, it was almost sweet, this thing. Buzz, was it? And it had a letter... Was it for her? But... Jay didn't write letters...

OOC: No one convinced Jay to get the owl. He got it for his mommy. xD
Buzz hoped even closer to the strange creature, head still tilted in wonder. She looked familiar. Surely he had seen her somewhere. Ah, right. She had been with his master. The owl ruffled his gray feathers awkwardly as the sun hit his back and gave him warmth. He then hopped towards it, the human being, and held up his leg, flexing his talons before placing them gently on her leg as to not hurt her. He had always been a very gentle, kind old owl.
He then peered up at the girl through his big brown eyes, silently asking her to take off the paper from his leg. It was horribly uncomfortable, and he wanted to go back home. But he couldn't leave without her taking the paper, and of course, he'd see if she had any food for him.

Eirian stared at the owl as it hobbled closer. So... the letter was for her? Untying it from the little owl's leg, she patted it head. Keeping the wild beast happy would be in her best interest. Nothing was pathetic as being mauled by an owl. She winced slightly as it came close to scraping at her bare legs, but simply tugged at her skirt and fished a few crackers from her pocket. That would suffice, right...?

Tilting his head to the other side, he watched the being untie the letter from his leg and was super relieved that he no longer had to worry about it. SPOILER!!: The letter
Dear Eirian,
As you must have already figured out, i'm no longer inside of the grounds of Hogwarts. Mum picked me up a couple of weeks ago. And well, as you know, i'm not all that great at writing letters, or expressing things, or anything really. BUT, i figured, you'd probably we wondering where i've gone and well, you deserve to know the reason behind it.
Mom sent me a letter a while ago, telling me that Opal didn't seem to be feeling well, and that she'd take her to the doctor soon if she wasn't better soon. Apparently, she'd been throwing up and sleeping more than usual. Something that you and i know Opal doesn't do often. She's too energetic to sleep. Mind you, this all happened when we weren't really talking to eachother.
And soon after that, another week perhaps, I received another letter. Mom had taken Opal to the doctor.. and well, they found out that she's sick. Very sick. She has liver cancer. And the doctor said she wouldn't be living much longer. That it had been too far developed when mother brought her in. They can't save her Eiri. She's going to die. And i need to spend her last view weeks days with her. I would hate myself if she was alone when she.. she goes.
So, i understand if you hate me for not telling you, but i can barely think about it, let alone write it down on paper and have to read it to myself. As you can probably tell by the drops water i accidentally spilled on the paper. I can't take it. I don't know what i'm going to do.
Your Partner,
Jayce

Engrossed in her parchment, Ivory let her feet lead her up the spiral stairs to the owlery nibbling on the edge of her thumb nail. Something to put your potion in...something that can control your potion....
If she was Professor Lafay...where would she hide stuff...
The feeling of something crunching beneath her feet had Ivory looking down suddenly her train of thoughts coming to an abrupt stop. "Huh?" She'd walked all the way into the owlery and hadn't even realized it.
Picking up her foot so as to look beneath it, she let out an exasperated sigh. Owl pellets. Served her right for not paying attention.
Shaking off her foot a bit, Ivory dug into her robe and brought out her wand her intent to clean off her shoe with a few quick charms that is until she realized what was littered among the owl pellets. Tugging on a glove, she picked up the small article to examine it before dropping it into her satchel biting her lip as she saw how many more of them were scattered around. Hopefully none of the owls got too hungry.
I'll edit in the letter as soon as I get home... The bell's gonna ring nowww

Your Partner,
Jayce
(Not at all xP)
Eirian read the letter. Opal was dying? But... She was such a strong dog! Cancer... It was a terrible thing. No wonder Jayce had left. But as she read it, she couldn't help but feel dreadfully relieved. He still loved her... at least as a friend. He called her his partner. He still considered her a part of his life. He hadn't been driven away! At least... Not yet. Poor Jayce... Poor Opal... Standing, Eiri shuffled around the owl, the letter still in her hand, and scrapped the note to Neko to write a response to her partner in crime. She'd send it with Buzz, and soon after receiving the letter Jay would receive a visit from her. She couldn't let him go through this death alone. Sure, Opal was just a dog... but Eirian had learned a thing or two about death, and no matter how small a life it was, it was terrifying. She'd be there for him like he was for her. It was the least she could do.
SPOILER!!: Eirian's Letter
Dear Jay,
Honestly? I thought you were avoiding me. I deserved it... A lot has happened, has it not? Brigado... You still thought to write to me. Even with your lack of experience? It means a lot... Really. Thank you. I am so sorry to hear about Opal... Of course you had to leave! How could you not!? If you had only let me known, I would have started going to classes... You know, so I could give you your work. But I have not been to many classes, and I do not take notes... (I have been trying harder in school, but we can talk about that some other time?) A lot has changed... A lot. But we have not.... Not too much. Expect me there as soon as school ends. It will not be long now. I do not know how many days are left in the year, but I will head straight there. The manor can go unoccupied for a bit more time...
I really am sorry. You know, about everything. We need to talk in person... Immediately. I will see you soon, partner.

So they had found only half the items they needed for this scavenger hunt and had been all over the castle. The only place they hadn't been was the owlery. Until now.
Walking around carefully so as not to step in any... owl messes, Marie looked for things that were out of place. There had to be something there that didn't belong... something that cold be used for potions class. Something like...
THOSE!
Stepping even more carefully around the floor she bent down to try and figure out what those things were laying all around. Whatever they were they definitely didn't belong there. Carefully picking one up with the tips of her thumb and index finger she held it out.
"Hey guys, you think this is something we need?" Turning around she didn't see her friends. GAH! Now where were they?

Run...run...ruuunnn...
Ugh, someone make Destiny STOP TALKING!
However, the Slytherin made the mistake of walking too quickly into the room, resulting in a rather...slippery...entrance. Eeeeep! Flailing a little, Evelyn finally regained her balance after a few seconds, a great big smirk on a face after she'd done so. Ha! Yea, that's right. She didn't fall. Crossing her arms, she looked over to Marie once the question reached her ears.
..."MARIE! PUT THAT DOWN! EW!" That was NOT sanitary!!
Disappointed. He was. Because he was terrible at scavenger hunts. Terrible! And he'd been looking forward to making a Potion or something, BUT...
...he decided to go the farthest up in the Castle, and then work his way down. Clever. He was very clever. Hopefully he'd made the right decision, and HOPEFULLY, he will at least find one of the items.
So, being here actually reminded him that he'd been wanting to send a letter a while ago, but, eh, the school year was almost ending, what was the point now?
He sighed and looked down, shaking his head in disbelief and then...freezing just a bit.
What was that doing here? Actually, wasn't that what he'd been looking for too? There was a grin on his face and he opened his bag to make that first item fall into it. His wish had been granted, he'd found ONE. Now he could head back to the Dungeons and give the almost empty bag to Lafay.
He pondered on that for a moment before deciding that he still had time to AT LEAST get another one, no?
And then the boy RAN away from the Owlery and off to the rest of the Castle.
Super Slytherin Buddy || ⅓ She-Snake Trio || 'I taste like chocolate and potatoes'
"I mean, I could probably go to Sugarplum's over the summer and buy the whole store and put it in this bag. It wouldn't be heavy! I think I'm going to ask Lafay after we finish if I can keep it. But I won't tell her why I want it." That would result in a big fat NO.
Still following her friends, not really paying to where they were until the smell hit her nose, Destiny CAREFULLY stepped into the Owlery, her eyes darting around for the things they needed.
"What if we're not in the right place? We just walked..oh look!" *point* "Marie found something!" And despite Evelyn telling her to put it down, Destiny sliiiiid her way over and picked one up, too. "You would think there would leave a note. A note that says something like 'Pick me up. I am what you need!'"
Placing the item in her bag, she picked up another and tossed it in Evelyn's direction. "EVELYN, CATCH!"

Bwahahahahaha
Here comes Evelyn. Marie watched just waiting for the girl to land on her bum right in that pile of... oh, she got her balance.
"Why would I put it down? It looks like something we need." With her free hand she pulled out her list and pointed with the thing in her other hand. "Look, right here. I bet this goes with that clue."
Oh sweet Merlin on a right rope. Destiny had her mouth going faster than she made chocolate disappear... and that was fast. "Really Destiny. Must you talk so much? You're gonna wake up all the owls... then they will start leaving presents... on your head." The thought of that almost made Marie want to wake the owls up herself. She just didn't want to get any presents left on her head. "Lafay is NOT going to let you keep that bag." Marie would make sure of that.
After tossing the item in her bag she was just adding it to her parchment when she heard Destiny tell Evelyn to catch. Oh, this was going to be a good one. If Ev thought it was gross when Marie had it in her hand she could only imagine what the Slytherin was going to do with one coming towards her face.
Super Slytherin Buddy | | ⅓ She-Snake Trio | | a normal girl with normal knees
What did she mean that looked like something they needed!? It looked like an owl dropping in her opinion!
However, peering closer from where she stood, meaning she pretty much had to strain her eyes to see it, the Slytherin girl SUPPOSED to looked different than everything else. Though she wasn't quite sure. Destiny on the other hand, totally believed Marie and picked another one up. Omg, her friends were disgusting.
o___________________O!! EEEK!
GETITAWAY!Flail.
"DESTINYYY!!!" she yelled, trying to get WHATEVER it was that was THROWN at her, away from her. Except her flailing required her to lose her balance and move her feet. EEEEP! SLIIIP!
Landing on her behind, a shocked expression crossed her face, when finally the item landed on her lap. Ew. Ew, her hands were touching the ground. She didn't want to look. It felt gross. Smelled gross. And was just...the definition of disgusting. Oh yes, there was a MIGHTY glare that went straight towards Destiny. The glare of all glares.
Super Slytherin Buddy || ⅓ She-Snake Trio || 'I taste like chocolate and potatoes'
WHAT!?
Perhaps if someone ANSWERED her when she talked, she wouldn't have to talk so much. Really. It was only common sense to answer when questions were asked and Destiny asked a lot of them. Did they answer? Nope. And since they didn't answer her questions, she wasn't going to answer Marie's. HA! How does she like it? "I think the owls would have been awake already. Do you know owls can't move their eyeballs? I guess that's why they can move their neck around all creepy like. Imagine if Lafay did that! She is kinda scary now, but if she could turn her head around like an owl, I don't think anyone would take her class."
Merlin! Just thinking about that gave Destiny the heebie jeebies! A really large owl body with Lafay's head attached. Eek!
Since she had her item and she thought Evelyn would catch hers, she started to move towards the exit to FINALLY go outside when..Evelyn happened.
Turning back to her friend when her name was called really loudly, Destiny couldn't help but laugh as she watched her fall right on her behind.
"BAHAHAAAA!!!"

O__________O
EEP!
Evelyn was down. Oh this was NOT good... for Destiny anyway. Marie was SO glad that glare wasn't directed at her right now.
Quickly tossing her parchment and quill in her bag Marie stood up. Walking over to Ev she pulled her wand out as she helped her friend up. Walking behind the girl she pointed her wand at her backside and did a simple cleaning charm. She then turned towards the LOUD obnoxious She-Snake, pointed her wand at her and silently cast, Langlock! Looking back towrds Ev she grinned. "That should keep her quiet for a little while."
Picking up the item Destiny threw at Evelyn, Marie put it in her friends bag before handing the bag over to her. "Come on, let's get out of here and head outside. I'm sure we'll find the rest of the items out there." They had to since they had already searched the whole castle.
Rolling her eyes at Destiny as she walked past her she sorta pitied her once Ev got a hold of her later. "Come on Destiny. You might as well finish this with us now." Now that the girl couldn't talk... or could she?
