"'Arley!" she grinned, hugging the girl back. It was exactly the person she had been looking for, only said person had found her, instead of the other way around. Whether purposely or not, she had. Hehe. "I am okay, 'ow are you?" she added, nodding at Harley's question. |
Quote:
She smiled as the girl shouted her name just as she had done previously. "Wanna go explore more ?" Exploring might not be AS fun as it was when they were first here but three months wasn't that long so there must've still be loads of places they hadnt seen. "Only okay ?" she frowned. "Whats wrong ?" hopefully she didnt mind her asking. "Im good thank you." |
Quote:
"Yes! Exploring zounds good," she nodded enthusiastically and laughed. "Alzough," she added, her voice taking on a slightly graver tone as she remembered their first day there. "If I see zat ozer boy, who said we broke ze staircase, I will not be 'happy." Because she'd read up on it. And the stairs were meant to move. They hadn't broken them at all. HRMPH. |
Mafalda walked down the corrider. She wasn't wearing her school robe because she didn't want to get it dirty. Instead she was wearing a striped t-shirt and her arms were visible. They were very muscular, which is what she wanted nearby students to see. She smiled to herself. She hated Arithmancy,so now she was goin to play a little trick on the floor it was in. She pulled out a dung bomb and threw it on the floor. BOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Fallon watched as a boy walked passed. Apparently Satine had noticed him too because she turned back right after Fallon did. "I'm pretty sure I am." She nodded as her friend talked about her father. "My dad's the same way." Even though he was rather strict at times. Fallon nodded as Satine talked. She giggled at the cradle robber comment. "Satine, he's only a couple years younger than you! That's not considered cradle robbing!" She couldn't really control her laughter at this point. Cradle robbing was when the guy was WAY younger than the girl. Evan Fallon knew that. Fallon nodded. "Exactly." She didn't think she'd think the same thing though if it came down to it with Finn. For some reason she just liked the guy way too much for her own good. She also knew about eyes making someone melt. Finn did that to her too. Fallon listened as Satine talked. She wasn't going to say anything to her friend about how flirting back with him probably wasn't the best thing to do. "Yeah figuring out something like that could help you understand what was going on with him." And then Satine said Finn. "What was Finn worried about?" Wasn't like he would care about something like that. |

"It does! So which floor do you want to explore ?" She wanted to fine that room with the magical disappearing door, but that could've been anywhere. "Or do you want to go into the grounds ?" The ground were fun, she hadn't really been out there a lot with it being cold and all. "Why ? You mean...we didnt ? Why did he lie ?" ...lying was mean. "Think he lied about knowing superman too ?" Chandler HAD said he'd lied, but she'd just told him he was being silly *mellow* |

Satine giggled, "Well, I don't know about better but Claws and Snakes are pretty close on my measuring system.." she said nudging her a little bit playfully. Quote:

*cuddles* Don't worry 'bout it darlin' Quote:
Using his free hand to hit the stone beside him, Anakin shook his head. "I wish I could help you...But it's hard, when I don't even know what your saying." And this was one of the very reason's he'd been dreading school. |
and now a horribly short post *fails* Quote:
"What d'you mean?" she asked, turning back to look at him. |
Transfiguration homework, post 2! Destiny didn't get very far when she realized that the compass was too ugly to look at and she needed to make another one. Really, though. The so called 'compass' didn't even have those pointing things. How was she supposed to know which direction she was going? With a quick 'Reverto', the ugly compass was back to a watch and she once again gave her wrist a flick. She decided that she was not going to talk to the watch this time. She was going to sneak attack it and change it into the compass. See if it likes THAT! She moved her wand in the snazzy cross shape, circle, and jab motion while concentrating on a compass that AT LEAST had those pointing things. She did want to know which way she was going and all. "Comletia." she said, and glancing down at the thing in her hand, she heaved a sigh of relief. The compass was still ugly, but it had them pointing things. Now, who was this Stanley character, hmm!? And did he have chocolate? |
This is SO late. Quote:
She looked presentable again. Iris had been letting her appearance slip quite a bit over the term. Her prefect duties and classes and homework had just gotten so much! There was no time for looking pretty! As she opened the door to leave the bathroom, Iris wasn't expecting to see what she did. "AHH!!!"That's right. A Chocolate Frog had just jumped right into her face. Grabbing at it, Iris caught hold of the Frog and held it tight so it didn't get away. "Who in the name of Merlin let this jump about free?!" ... Iris stared at the lump on the floor in front of her. "Carter." She said, plainly. "Why am I not surprised? ... Why are you on the floor?" The prefect added with a smirk. Yeah. She knew why. The fool was chasing the Frog. Iris wanted to hear HIM say that though. Just for the hilarity of it all. |
MEEP! And now I took forever! iSorry Brigcicle. <3 Quote:
Watching her mouth form a sentence, he looked away, fiddling with the end of his tie. "I, uhm, I'm deaf. I have been for about three years." And it was really frustrating for him to have lost something so important. Especially when he took it for granted so long. |
'tis okay Chellecicle *huggles* Quote:
Lip reading. That was how he was doing it. Suddenly she wasn't sure what to say. Saying she was sorry just didn't seem appropriate - she knew she didn't like to hear it - yet that was the only thing she could think of. "I'm so sorry to..." hear that. Fortunately she'd stopped herself before she'd actually finished that sentence. How awful would it be if she'd said that? |
Quote:
Vashti didn't. And he probably seemed pathetic. Especially having dropped such a bombshell right in the middle of talking about her. Trying to make her feel better. He hadn't meant to change it to him. Shaking off the awkward stupid feeling he had now, he turned himself to look at her. Determined not to let this faze him. Shrugging lightly, he looked down. "It doesn't matter anymore. It's been awhile, I've adjusted." And he had. Sometimes it just...caught up to him. Made him feel crazy. He did have to get one more thing out though. "Vashti? Do me a favor...don't...tell anyone. Please." |
Quote:
He didn't want her to tell anyone? She wanted to ask why but decided that would be insensitive. It wasn't her place to decide who else should know about his secret. That was up to him. "I won't, I promise." And then she realized another thing. "Is that why you quit playing Quidditch?" |
Quote:
Turning his head to watch her, and catching the promise. Ani gave a small smile of relief, "Thanks. It means a lot. People usually get all...awkward around me when they know." He didn't really need to go on farther, but since she'd promised, he'd figured she'd deserved that much. Quidditch? "Yeah, I couldn't hear the refs anymore." |
Quote:
Vashti only hoped she wasn't also grouped in the people who got awkward around him after finding out. "I don't see why they should," she commented. "You're still the same person you were before they knew about it." This, she suddenly realized, was quite true. And really, it was probably better that she did know, so she could make sure he was always able to understand her, like not turning her head away which she would tend to do if she didn't know. Shame he couldn't play Quidditch anymore though. It was such a fun sport she couldn't imagine not being able to participate in it. "I bet you were - are - a really good player," she said with a small smile. And then an idea occurred to her. "What if you and I played some time? It wouldn't be a real game since there'd only be two of us, so you wouldn't have to worry about a referee making any calls or anything." It was worth a shot, right? She wasn't sure where they'd be able to do this, but she was sure she'd find some place eventually. If Anakin agreed to it, of course. |
Quote:
Watching her, as he'd finally realized the idiocy of turning his head back and forth to avoid looking at her. He couldn't do that, he HAD to look at her in order to know what she was saying. Giving a slight shrug, he shook his head slightly, avoiding her eyes and instead watching her mouth. "I dunno...I guess, maybe, they just don't know what to say to me." At least he had his Da and Seb. "I think handicaps in general just make people...feel awkward." Anakin gave a small chuckle and a slight smile, and nodded, "Thanks. But hey, at least I can come watch you at the games right?" He nudged her slightly with a small smile. And then she was offering that maybe they could play sometime? Ani'd be lying if the thought didn't excite him. He really did love Quidditch. "Really? You'd be cool with that?" |
Quote:
That was probably true, she supposed. That handicaps did make people feel awkward at first. She'd felt like that just now when he'd first revealed his to her - but now, well, she didn't feel quite as awkward. Because the more she thought about it, the more she realized he really wasn't all that different from a few minutes ago before he'd told her. "At first it does," she agreed, "but it doesn't mean they should treat you differently forever." She smiled. "'Course," she replied. "And will you be cheering us on when we go against your house at the next game?" He probably wasn't, house loyalty and all that, which she couldn't fault him for. But it was worth a shot asking, right? Her smile grew at his next response. "Absolutely. I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't, now would I?" |
Quote:
Nodding his head slightly in agreement, Ani gave a slight shrug as well. He completely agreed of course. But just because he agreed didn't make it magically true. "Maybe it's just because some just can't work through the awkward?" And obviously some could. Like Vashti. Nudging her slightly with his elbow he grinned, feeling a little less like a freak show. "The super cool ones can though." Snort. Cheer for her team at the match against Hufflepuff? "I'll do a joint cheering." Because he'd look weird cheering against his own team. And he DID want hufflepuff to win the house cup. His joint cheering would probably just be 'Go hufflepuff! Go Vashti!' Because that wasn't weird yeah? Chuckling he nodded, "That's true. S'pose that was a bit of a stupid question. Well, thanks. That'd be really fun." |
Quote:
But she supposed he was right. Some people probably couldn't work around all this and would always feel uncomfortable around people who were...well, different. There would probably always be people like that. But there would also be people who could. She grinned when he nudged her. "I guess it's like what Dr. Suess said once. 'Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.' Or something like that." There might've been more to the quote, but that was all Vashti remembered. And she didn't really expect Anakin to know who Dr. Suess was - if he didn't know about Star Wars, he probably wouldn't know about Dr. Suess either. Maybe after that one-on-one Quidditch game they had she'd introduce him to some Muggle things. Merlin knew he'd probably need it if he was going to understand half the things she said. A joint cheering? Well that was a nice compromise. "That works, I s'pose," she said with a laugh. Then she shook her head. "There's no such thing as a stupid question." Well...actually there probably was. But his question hadn't been stupid, at least. "I dunno when we'd be able to do it though. You don't happen to have a Quidditch pitch near where you live or anything, do you?" Because Merlin knew she didn't. |

Patroclus had been studying, hard, but he was also quite confident in his natural ability........well he was kinda confident, no he was Completely Confident, Completely!......ish Arriving at the top of the Staircase, in the entry to the Second Floor corridor, the LionBoy had to stop, "Ew." He said very simply, "If Tate ever came into the bathroom and began to discuss school issues, I would be too uncomfortable to deal with him" The bathroom was for........just not talking about school with the Headmaster! "So we begin again!" Second Floor the Charm?? |

Jacob looked around. "You think we need to answer a question to get in. Like the Common rooms?" Wait, They need to answer questions too, right? Or maybe they had to do something stupid and dangerous. Jacob started walking the corridor once more, it seemed like this was going to take forever. They might still be looking for it while they're grandparents. If they ever leave their hunt long enough to even become fathers. |
Maisie walked down the corridor being bored. There was seriously nothing to do when Amy wasn't around.. What to do? What to do? |
