Repressing another annoyed sound, Katie winced slightly as she moved her head to one side, allowing the cool ice beneath her to touch the side of her face for a second or two before lowering her hands. Glancing up at Legend, she remained tight-lipped but tried for a small nod-ish sort of motion without hitting her head on the ice, knowing how much more that would hurt. She had hit the ice pretty hard, by the time of the feast that night she would probably be feeling a few sore spots. "I'm just fin-" Now sitting up, she made an attempt to push herself to her feet but as soon as the slightest bit of weight was put on her right ankle, Katie flinched, dropping the inch or so back onto the frozen lake without a second thought. "Owwww!" The noise escaped before she could prevent it, a look of confusion crossing her features only to be understood as a surge of pain swept from her foot to her calf, throbbing the worst around her ankle. A pained look took over the confused one in an instant, her nose wrinkling in her effort to look anywhere but at her ankle (that seemed to make it hurt worse) or Legend and suck in a gasp of breath. Biting down hard on her bottom lip to keep any other similiar, if not the same noises held inside and even distract herself from the other pain, Katie ignored the curls that fell into her face when she turned her head away from the Gryffindor and her right side in general. This was officially really, really not her day. How could she have been so stupid? Katie had been skating since she was a mere toddler, she knew how slick ice was. |
Liam :3 Fee walked to the room of requirement. It was her fave place together with the lake around here. You could make whatever you wanted oiut of it and thatb fascinated the blonde. Just as she stepped into the room a beautiful sundown appeared in front of her. Siiiiigh, this was soo amazing. Making her way trhough the room she sat down on the ground and closed her eyes for a little. This was soooooo relaxing. |

Legend took his time as he walked closer toward Katie. Ice and boots weren't the perfect match and he didn't want to end up like the Hufflepuff. Of course she had probably been doing some spinning thing or something like that. He stopped once he reached her side and knelt down. She was fine huh? Alright then-he was about to stand back up when Katie cried out in pain. That..did not seem like she was fine. "That doesn't seem like you're alright." He muttered, as he looked at her with questioning eyes. He wasn't stupid, the fact that the Hufflepuff would rather sit on the cold ice was tipping him off as well. His eyes fell to her legs...huh...she had fell back when she tried to get up. "What hurts?" He asked as he pulled out his wand from his pants pocket. He could fix it easily. |

Sixteen year old behaves like a six year old and.. and does whatever she did to her ankle. Just brilliant. Taking her time to answer, Katie shook her head. "It hurts.." She murmured, licking her lips over the marks she'd left, because she didn't want to actually draw blood on second thought, the Hufflepuff used her sleeve to wipe her mouth before daring to slowly pull her left leg toward her without touching her other leg and loosen the laces enough to pull the figure skate off her foot, tossing it rather roughly behind them in the snow out of anger. She winced again at the pain as it seemed to send a shock wave that then traveled further in the moment she turned her upper half to chuck the skate at the fluffy white powder, resisting the need to bite down on her lip again. A shaky breath filled her lungs as she realized she was holding her breath without thinking about it and a glance up at Legend had fear flashing in her eyes. He was going to fix it? It needed fixed?! Since when did he know healing charms, anyway? She wanted her big sister, that's what she wanted! "Nooo," Owwwww! "Don't.. touch it." Katie mumbled, attempting to loosen the laces on her right skate so she could get that one off too. As soon as her hands wrapped around the boot to pull it off, another cry escaped the sixth year, her dark brown eyes brimming with tears she tried fiercely to stop from falling. |
Quote:
Bingo! It was her right foot. Legend ignored her wishes and gently lay his left hand on her leg right above the starting of the skate. "I have to alright?" Unless she wanted him to just leave her there. And he was fine with that too. He lay his wand on the ground and rested his other hand on the back of her ankle. "Alright. I need you to take a deep breath, and on the count of three release it." He wasn't a doctor or a Healer at all but Legend wasn't stupid either. "One....two...three." Without anymore warning he pulled the boot off; of course as softly as he could. But he doubted that it would be less painful. |
Ara ran, dragging Corvus all the way up to the seventh floor to show him the Room of Requirement. She was at a loss of words with a HUGE excitement in showing her best friend the room that was introduced to her. "It's...It's like this big secret that everyone knows about," she whispered as she stared at a tapestry on the wall. There was no door at the moment for she had not paced the floor with a particular room vision. "Anything special you want to see?" |
Quote:
She still looked excited.... "A big secret that everyone knows about? It's not a secret then..." What did he want to see. If he could see anything what would it be that he would want. "I want something with the sky and stars." He did love star gazing. "What about a GIANT popcorn jelly bean? Can it do that?" That would be AWESOME. He would never need to by another jelly bean. |

Katie tensed as he placed one hand right above her skate, making a bit of a face at his words. She refrained from protesting any more though, with little other option but to trust he wasn't going to intentionally make it hurt any more than it already did. "Ow," Breathed the Hufflepuff, barely audibly when the Gryffindor's hand made contact with the back of her ankle. As gentle as he was being, it still hurt. A lot. Dark eyes shifting from her ankle to Legend, despite the doubtful look worn on her face, Katie said nothing. Merely giving a little nod of her curly-haired head, she did as she was told and took a deep breath in. One....two...three. "Owwwwwwww!" With the breath that left her, so did the low cry from a frustrated Katie Mae. Did he HAVE to take it off? Admittedly, the pressure eased ever so slightly with her foot free of the skate. "Stupid ankle! Stupid skates.." She murmured rather moodily, using her sleeve again to rub at her eyes and wipe off the tears from her reddened cheeks that had managed to escape, as if they never existed at all. |

She stood, staring at him, her eyebrows growing closer together as if she didn't understand his brain sometimes, in which was true, but for once maybe she should give in to what he wanted instead of what she wanted. Just once. "Well, I..." she paused as she thought long and hard on the popcorn jellybean concept. "...Maybe next time." Yup! That was Ara. She paced back and forth three times until a door appeared and the tapestry...disappeared. A smile formed back on her lips as her delicate fingers reached out to open the door. "After you," she presented to Corvus as the room was dark with a slight breeze blowing through. Her green eyes caught a glimpse of the room as she noticed grass, a blanket, snacks, telescope and a sky full of stars and planets. The moon was full and in the background, a sight that was almost too beautiful for anyone to imagine. This room was awesome. |
Quote:
WOoOooo. He should of checked for drool as this was so Awesome! He grinned as he looked around at the sky. It was so awesome. This was so cool. It was the only thing he could think of. Just how cool it was. "This...Is so freakin awesome." he told Ara as he turned to her with a grin. " So awesome. " He walked towards the blanket with all the snacks and telescope. He looked up at the sky once more as he spoke." It looks so real. The moon is pretty big." He pulled the bag over his head, setting it down as he moved to look through the telescope. It was pretty cool. OKAY. She won. This was awesome. He looked back over to her as he looked around for a moment. " If i knew better i would think you were trying to get me on a date with you." He teased her as he turned to look at the stars. "You better have made at least one of the snacks be jelly beans." He would take any. He wasnt too picky at the moment seeing as she did show him this room. "So how do you get the room to work?" He turned to her as he was curious to see how he could get it to work next time. |
Quote:
And then his second statement was just...."Well, you don't know better," she giggled then proceeded to say. "Besides, I have a boyfriend, though if I didn't..." She was NOT about to say anything else. The words coming out of her mouth at that very moment were not making any sense. Her? Feelings for Corvus? Nahhhhh! She walked over, sat on her knees and reached to where the snacks were sitting on the blanket. "I have the blanket because I don't want grass stains on my clothes, you don't need them either," she began as she held up a bowl of his favorite. "And you think that I would really forget you like that?" Well, maybe if it were anyone else she would but this was her best friend. She winked and gave him a smile, reaching for her own snack of choice, white chocolate and strawberries, which of course, was her favorite cousin's snack as well. |
Quote:
He looked back at her as she explained the reason for the blanket. It made sense. She was probably right anyway. Not that he ever worried about that. He moved to kick his shoes and folding his socks into his shoes, wiggling his feet in the grass. He moved onto the blanket with her as he waited for his snack. JELLY BEANS!!! And it was POPCORN style. No she would never forget it because she would never hear the end of it. "Thanks." He gave her a smile as he grabbed a handle full of them from the bowl. He looked around for a few moments before laying down against the blanket. He put his jelly beans against his chest, popping one into his mouth as he did. So delicious. He stared up at the stars as he pointed out the little dipper." Look. There." He pointed still." The little dipper. And then the Big dipper." He grinned a little as he looked over at her to make sure she was paying attention. |
Quote:
She then laid back on her side of the blanket, strawberries and white chocolate laid in between them as she looked to where he was pointing. "Ohhhhh, and there is Orion." She thought about her family for a moment before adding, "You know, my grandfather's name was Orion." OooooOooo. Was she...sharing? "Strawberry?" Too much was happening inside her brain, almost an overload. Her mind was wandering into several different directions from clothing to food to boys to what shoes to wear with an outfit. Gah! So much stress on a person was not good for the complexion. "Soooo," what to talk about? "Why do you like the stars so much?" |
Quote:
She was asking him about why he liked stars so much. He looked at her as he guessed he had never really explained it. He shrugged a little as he spoke." It was just something my dad and I did together." He looked at the stars for a few moments in silence as he spoke." I've never told anyone this, but my parents thought I'd be one of those kids who couldn't do any magic. Once my dad thought it too, he started spending more time with me. This was what we did. He always told me didn't care, but you know our parents. If we weren't, they'd be devastated. I want to be an airplane pilot." He told her as that would be so amazing. "Anyway. They figured out i wasn't. He was happy about it and we slowly stopped looking at stars with me. I enjoy it. I want to fly into space! How cool would that be? Do you think we could do that in a broom?" That would be so much fun! |

Legend examinded the her ankle, right away he could tell that something was wrong with it. He was no Healer but he had spent enough time with Tyson to know that when something swelled up as bad as Katie's ankle had, in a matter of minute's it wasn't alright. "I think it might be broken?" Maybe? Legend wasn't sure. "It hurts alot of move it right?" He wanted to turn in to check again but, he was scared that that would hurt her. Finally something in Legend's mind clicked. Her ankle was just like how his arm was when he broke it in the fight agaisnt Chez. Of course he had been sure that it was broken then because he had heard a crack. "Alright there are two spells that I can use to fix this but, I'm not the best at them cause...you know I've only seen them being used before. So...you'll still have to go to the Hospital Wing. I'll take you there. But you have to go." There were no if, ands or buts about it. Katie would go. Picking his wand back up Legend tapped it agaisnt her ankle "Episkey." He said loudly, a dark green light came out of his wand. This spell was better to use than Ferula. Episkey was suppose to heal broken bones or whatever, and even if he hadn't performed it at top standards at least it would bring the pain down. Of course Katie would still be mad at the skates. Like it was their fault that she had fallen. |
Quote:
A bit apprehensive about Legend using magic to try and heal her possibly broken ankle was one thing, and the fear that his following words brought was another. The hospital Wing won in the fears department. "What? No! Absolutely not going. I can't go, I've never been there!" Yes because.. that mattered so much, having never been there? There was a reason she only knew her new Head of House from the beginning and end of term feasts, to say the very least. "I don't want to see the nurse, I'll.. be fine? I'll .. it'll.. heal, eventually? I don't know! I don't want to go." Katie had ran out of reasons and excuses not to go, and simply dropped her gaze to her hands, playing with a loose string from her sleeve. She could just feel more tears forming, both from pain and the idea of having to enter the Hospital Wing. More tears she'd have to keep from falling. As a tear tried to roll down her cheek, Katie made to wipe it away, glancing up just in time to see the light come from Legend's wand. Her ankle still hurt, it didn't feel as though the bone had been mended or anything, but the throbbing did ease up quite a bit and the pain didn't seem to travel as far. Or maybe she was just imagining it at this point, Katie hadn't a clue and didn't really care either way. She just didn't want to go to the Hospital Wing. |
Quote:
It couldn't be broken? Seriously? Yes, it could and it was. That was what he had just told her. "If you get it fixed it will be good as new. You won't miss any practicing time." Or she could be stubborn like he had been in 4th year and go months with the aching pain. Except she wouldn't be able to walk. Legend pushed his wand back into his pocket. If he repeated the spell again then perhaps she wouldn't have to go to the Hospital Wing? He hesitated then shook his head. The nurse obviously knew more than he did. Moretti had like...training. "Katie. Shut up. If you don't go and get it fixed it will never be like what it used to and you'll never skate again." Alright he might have been lying but she had to go right? Standing up, Legend shook off his legs. Sitting on ice didn't really feel too good. His stomach started to roll as he saw a tear fall from Katie's eye's. He wasn't being mean...she had to go. "Come on, piggy back i'll take you there. And I'll stay there with you too." He muttered as he stuck his hand out and looked away from her face. |
Quote:
Though her rambling had already come to an end, Katie would have been silenced by Legend's firm voice telling her to shut up. In the past she would have pitched a fit and shouted at him for even thinking he could get away with telling her to shut up, but now, sitting on the freezing cold ice, she said nothing. What could she say to that? He made a fair point, and really, it wasn't like she could just sit on the frozen lake created by the magic held within the Room of Requirement forever. She would eventually need food, and they had classes. It wouldn't work out. Plus, she couldn't take chances with never being able to skate again, as Legend chose to put it. Looking up at the offered hand, the Hufflepuff took a final moment to think over the situation and be really sure she had no other options that didn't involve going to the Hospital Wing, before slipping her smaller hand into his and very carefully pulling herself up, doing her best not to use her right foot much; It was bearable, but the least amount of weight she put on it, the better off she was. Testing how well the spell had worked, Katie gently tried stepping down with her toes and hobble/shuffled the littlest bit to close the gap between herself and the Gryffindor, dark eyes on her sock-covered feet and a hand holding back the curls that tried to fall forward. It was sort of funny, thinking back to their childhood years. Every now and then she had gotten Legend to give her piggy back rides, usually by jumping on him first and asking later. That was the same thing she had done just last term during their first trip to Hogsmeade village, right before everything had started to change between them. "Legend?" Breaking the silence, Katie's voice was oddly soft, less mumbled and almost guilty. He would stay with her while she waited to see the nurse.. "Thank you." |
Quote:
"I don't believe brooms would go that far," she giggled, answering his question about going into outer space on brooms. "But you know, going into space might be a cool thing to do, though I don't think I would like it much. I wouldn't be able to fix my hair." And as always she was worried about her own self instead of anything else. |
