Mia blinked at Jacob again. Was he laughing at her?

Yes he was.

Well. He was certainly the charmer, wasn't he? Not that Mia particularly cared what she looked like at the moment and she certainly didn't care what other people thought of her either. Well, maybe one person.

"Right. Because I am so scary." Mia stuffed some croissant into her mouth and stared at Jacob. He was so weird at times.

Why do boys take their sports so seriously? Mia rolled her eyes at him again. "No need to get all narky Jacob. Do you believe that you have a good team?"

What was with this sarcasm... It was freaking him out. "Right now... yes, quite scary" and he was being serious now... he had a feeling that she was going to punch him or hex him or whatever people did in this school... Jacob spent 5 years hear, and still enjoyed the punch to the nose, better than having to take out your wand and this of a spell and cast the spell... Punching was much more efficient.

Did Mia just roll her eyes at him... Uh-Uh that is unacceptable, Jacob was not being Narky... he was just... okay he was being narky, but thats not the point. "Its not how good they are now... It's how good they'll be on game day" cause if they played like they had in the last few practices, Jacob was in big trouble

Then Jacob realized that she was sitting with him at the eagle table. "Wait... what are you doing here anyways?" Jacob asked, hopeing it didn't sound like he telling her to get away, it was just that she was sitting at the ravie table with Jacob... it couldn't have just been to scare the bacon out of him. Unless, it was, and if that were it, then Jacob was so... going to do something... wasn't sure what... but it was going to be something, it was going to be very something

"It's the hair isn't it?" Mia shrugged her shoulders as she popped the last of her croissant into her mouth. Maybe she should have looked in a mirror before leaving the common room but her stomach was grumbling so loudly she was worried that people thought she had something growing in her stomach. Besides there had to be at least one day in the week where she could just sloth around.

Wow Jacob had a real lot of faith in his team. "Well I'm sure they will do extremely well. So long as you as their Captain encourage them. And so what if they lose? So long as they do their best, right?" Yes Mia really had no idea when it came to Quidditch and how competitive the players were.

Mia stared at Jacob for a moment. "You're a real charmer, you know that? Is this why you're sitting by yourself?" With that kind of mannerisim, Mia was surprised that he hadn't been decked a few times. "For your information, there are no rules in place that say I HAVE to sit at the the Hufflepuff table. But if you want me to go, then just say so." Of course she had no intentions of going anywhere.

Was it the hair. Could be, but Nope. " I think it might be the fact that I almost set us on fire, and you have every reason to take revenge..." just a guess though.

Jacob thought for a second... So long as they did their best. That wasn't right, winning shows strength. "but if the team loses, it shows nothing of them... Only the failure of me as their captain and Jacob was so sure that he was a failure. So it wasn't the team he was worried about, it was how well he had trained both the veterans and the new comers.

Jacob looked around... Yes he was alone, even a blind person could see that. Well no they couldn't. "I'm always alone... so there was nothing different there. "no, is there any particular reason you are next to me?." was his actual question. "I have no control over your actions, it's up to you whether you leave or not" he would say whether or not he wanted her to leave.

He really thought that she was the type of person who would want to seek revenge on him? Jacob did not know her at all. She was a hippy baby and was all for peace, love and happiness. "I'm not like that Jacob."

"Oh Jacob. For Merlin's sake it's just a game. You are probably a very good Captain and if you so happen to lose a game does not make you a good leader. Just means it wasn't your day." Good grief this game was taking over people's lives.

Mia was just about to pour herself a glass of milk when Jacob spoke again and his words saddened her a little. "Oh. Well that's kinda sad being on your own all the time. Is that how you prefer it? Or does it just happen that way?" Of course his abrupt personality didn't tend to help matters but she chose not to say that. "Oh, I am staying now. I think we could be friends, don't you?"

The smell of food calmed Annie, the smell of calmness made Annie want the end of the year to come soon. She was happy that after such stressing moments that NEWT's would be, the time to graduate was to come.

Alone, she sat by the ravenclaw table and smelled around. French toast sounded great, also did a piece of chicken left and that orange juice. She only wished to be in company of something. Lately, she'd been all alone in most events at school.

Mmm. Breakfast. Ellie hardly got any sleep last night. Though it was her fault, she'd stayed up way past one in the morning, sitting in front of the fire in the Common Room doing her homework. At four, she realized she'd fallen asleep on the floor and stumbled her way up the stairs to her bed.

And now here she was. She plopped down at the table and stuffed a biscuit in her mouth. No butter. No jam. Just biscuit. She covered her mouth and yawned. Yeah, she was polite. Taking a sip of pumpkin juice, she looked around. Not many people...

Yaawwnn....

Emily wandered into the Great Hall after Charms lesson. She was very very hungry and a little bit tired. After walked down the line of tables Emily finally plopped herself down on the bench at the Ravenclaw Table... surrounded by her peers.

Not wanting to rudely interupt a conversation Emily just grabbed herself some lunch- today she decided to have some fresh salad, a handful of chips and a peice of grilled chicken. She was contemplating a trip into Hogsmede, she hadn't been yet this term.
Daydreaming, Emily shovelled forkfulls of food into her mouth... half chewing before swallowing.

Ivan walked down to the Great Hall and straight to his house table carrying his cane stylishly in his hand. Since he ran into Ara at Hogsmeade he decided it made for a good flashy piece. Sitting down he propped the cane against the table and pulled a plate toward him and piled it high with food not waiting for Mia to show up before he started eating. He wasn't lying when he said he was starving.

Gah she was late. It had been one of those days where she just couldn't seem to get anything to go her way. First she had slept in. Then she couldn't find any clean socks so she had decided not to bother with any. And don't get her started on her hair.

Mia burst into the great hall and sprinted over to the Ravenclaw table, coming to a skidding halt just behind Ivan. "Sorry...I'm...late." She panted, bending over slightly trying to catch her breath before falling into the vacant seat beside him. "It's been one of those days."

She leaned over and stole the bread roll off his plate and stuffed it into her mouth. He wouldn't mind sharing with her. Even though the table was full of food.

Ivan looked up as someone ran over to him and laughed as he saw Mia. "Are you late?" he asked clearly not knowing what time it was since he just walked in too. He quickly scanned her and smiled as he took in her appearance while she sat down beside him and stole food off of his plate. Meh.

Shrugging he stuffed a roll into his mouth himself, "I just got here not long ago so I guess we're both late." He spotted crumbs on his shirt and frowned before wiping them off. "So I ran into Ara the other day at Hogsmeade," he said as he concentrated on getting his shirt crumb free. It had been the first girl, well besides TJ that he had hung out with alone but TJ didn't count since they were promptly crowded by everyone else and Mia never counted since he couldn't flirt with her. Same with Neptune.

Either he was smiling at her just to be nice or he was rather amused at her appearance. Mia knew that she must look a sight. She hadn't got that whole primping and prepping thing the other girls did before they left the dorm room. Really. Who had time for that?

Ara? She had been Finn's girlfriend earlier in the year. Seriously, Mia, was having troubles keeping up with all the romances at Hogwarts. Everyone seemed to chop and change all the time. Except for her of course. She was definitely happy with her boyfriend.

"Hmm, okay? And what did you talk about?"

Stuffing another roll in his mouth he shrugged, "Nothing important really. Asked her to my party and then random stuff. It just made me think of what yous aid about setting me up with someone." He sighed and looked at her, "I need to date someone else or something. I mean I'm not happy and Finn and Marie now..." God that just made his head hurt.

"Everyone's moving on but I'm just kind of stuck you know?" he asked as he took a sip of juice. There wasn't any use in pretending otherwise with Mia. Flirting was his cover and that wouldn't work on her. Sighing again he shook his head, "I know. Sad isn't it. Even she's started dating...Salander." Yeah...he knew that alright and it irritated the hell out of him. "Anyway...creativity..." that was why they were here right?

Her mouth almost dropped open as Ivan went on to explain his dilemma. Thankfully she managed to keep it closed otherwise she would of had bread spilling out of her mouth. So not attractive. "Ivan." She began softly. "You don't NEED to do anything. You make it sound like it's something you have to because everyone else is dating someone." Mia placed a hand on his arm and gave it a gentle squeeze.

What he said about everyone moving on made Mia pause for a moment and then she heaved a sigh as well. "Yeah everyone is moving on. Some a little too fast than others." There were a couple of people she was thinking about when she said that. "Ivan, you're a great guy. But I can say that because I get to see the real you." She gave his arm another squeeze before letting go. "Maybe if you drop that act you put on in front of others." She gave him a wink and then laughed softly. "Although it is very cute when you do it."

Ahhh yes creativity. ""So about this party..."

Emily finished her meal, then after stiffling a yawn she grabbed her bag and took off towards the staircases... she needed to have a shower, get changed and have a nap.

Ivan looked at Mia and gave a shrug, "No it's something I have to because..." He sighed and shook his head looking around for a moment to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "It's because every time I see anybody with their girlfriend or boyfriend I feel...depressed I guess. Doesn't help that I still care for..." He sighed and took a sip of his drink, "Well, anyway...."

"Isn't that the truth. It's kind of disgusting in a way." He picked at some chicken as he listened to her and laughed, "Why should I drop it if it's cute? And besides...Lexi did know the real me and it didn't stop her from leaving so what's to stop anyone else..." Lexi had known a lot about him that only James knew actually.

Gladly picking up the change in topic he nodded, "Nice little summer party. Probably a small one since I don't exactly want everyone in the school there."

The way Ivan spoken about his dilemma. Well it just about broke Mia's heart. She didn't like to see anyone so unhappy especially if that person was a friend of hers. She scooted closer to him and gave him a hug. "If it means that much to you Ivan, then I will help you find the love of your life." Her tone was light, hoping to cheer him up a little. She understood that he still cared about Lexi. When you love someone, you couldn't exactly turn your feelings off. Well apparently some people could.

She wasn't sure whether she agreed on people moving on being disgusting. Maybe a little thoughtless. But Mia would never involve herself in other people's business unless they asked of course. It was their choice on how they lived their lives. Free will and all that. She began to laugh as well but her face sobered a little when he spoke of Lexi. "Listen to me Ivan. Lexi, is one girl okay. Just because you were not the guy for her does not mean you're not the guy for someone else." She gave him a smile. "If I weren't so madly in love with Nikolai, I would be interested in you. You're intelligent, can hold a conversation, have a great sense of humour and good looking to boot. Lexi, lost out big time when she let you go."

So a small party. "Did you have a theme in mind? Or just sort of get together, have a few nibblies and a few laughs?"

And here was why he liked Mia so much as he found himself laughing again. "The love of my life huh?" he chuckled and shook his head giving her a little nudge with his shoulder. "You're great Mia and Nikolai is a lucky guy," he gave her a smile and turned back to the chicken on his plate. "Thanks for that. You're a great friend."

"I like the sort of get together. Theme seems too much work and seems too... School dancy," he said with a smirk as he picked up his glass and drank. Who did themed parties anymore. Oh wait...no his mother did. "And the ultimate goal is not to let my mum anywhere near it," he said with a chuckle.

She nudged him back and laughed. "So Nik keeps telling me." She said, although she thought that she was the lucky one. Yes, thank you Hogwarts for holding the TWT. Mia smiled as she picked up what looked like potato and leek soup and poured some into her bowl. "I try to be. And you're a great friend too. I know that I can come to you if I should ever have any problems of my own."

Mia had to admit that a theme party sounded like far too much work as well and Hogwarts had already held a couple of parties since she had been here. "If that's the case then. I think we should have like a BBQ or something, you know? But cook it ourselves. No servants." She said giving Ivan a little grin. "And I'm sure we can think of something to keep your mother away."

Ivan smiled and stuck some chicken in his mouth. At least she found someone apparently. "Of course you can come to me if you have problems. What are friends for?" He went to her she could come to him. Made sense. Even James didn't know his current issues and that said something since they were very close.

"A BBQ?" With no servants? How in the hell....? What was the point of being him if he couldn't have people cook for him. "I don't know how to do that Mia." He hadn't had to cook anything for himself in.... well awhile. "Besides if we steal Miles' cooks job she might get irritated." Yup justify his lack of skill. "Not sure about that. She smells me having fun and there she magically is."

That made Mia smile even more. Not that she had any problems. Actually she never had. It seemed she led a charmed life. Or maybe because she refused to let anything get to her and she just kinda tended to go with the flow. "I like being friends with you." She stated rather simply before spooning some soup into her mouth.

"I know you don't." Mia said with a little smirk on her face. "Which is why you need to learn." She waved her hand in a dismissive gesture about the cook. She was sure the cook would appreciate a day off. "It'll be fun. You know I'll help you out." She didn't bother to mention that she could not cook for the life of her but eh...it would be fun. "Well maybe we'll have to find something fun for your mother to do."

"Well good because I like being friends with you," he said with a chuckle before eating some more chicken. She really was a good friend and though he didn't have a lot of problems there were just some things he couldn't talk to James about. Girls being one of them. It helped to have someone to listen.

"Well how did you know I don't?" he asked with a frown. He could have. he could have a lot of talents she didn't know about. Assumptions. Hmph. Sighing he gave a shrug, "If you'll help then okay. How hard could it be right?" Cook a few hamburgers and hot dogs. Yup simple...right? "Shopping. Let her go shopping or give her a reason to and she'll be gone all day." A brilliant idea actually.

Putting her spoon down for a moment, Mia turned to Ivan with a grin on her face. "Friends forever? We should do like some sort of ceremonial thing." She had seen them do that on the muggle tv. In those real soppy movies that she had taken to watching.

She laughed and tapped the end of his nose with her finger. "I just know these things." She said putting on a mysterious voice and trying not to laugh. "I am all seeing and all knowing." The ironic thing was, she could actually see people's aura's but only when she allowed herself to. Sometimes she thought it was an invasion of privacy. "Exactly. Hamburgers, hot dogs every kid's dream food. Oh and I think we should have ice cream as well." And though she didn't mention it but Mia thought games would be good to. Just not spin the bottle.

"Okay so well tell her they're having a sale at one of her favourtite store's or something." Easy peasy. Mia picked up her spoon again and got stuck into her soup. "You going to the game?"

Friends for... Ivan laughed and gave a smirk. "Friends forever. And...not so much on the ceremonial thing." Really where did she get idea from? "How about we just say we are and leave it at that," yup he liked that idea much better than whatever idea of a ceremony she had.

He raised an eyebrow as she tapped the end of his nose and chuckled at her explanation. "Omniscient? Yeah...right. Or maybe I'm just that readable." That was a much more likely scenario since no one was omniscient even in this weird magical world though he meant many a person who thought they did know everything. "Sounds good. So we have a party now we need guests besides just you and Ara," since they were the only ones he had asked so far. Hopefully she was going to invite a few people or it was going to be all girls plus James and Finn though that would be a fun party.

"Sure, maybe I can talk Miles' wife into going with her." He picked at his chicken eating much slower than he usually did when he was by himself. Watching Mia eat he frowned confused for a second, "Game? Ohhhhhhhhhh Quidditch. Maybe." It wasn't high on his priority list but a break might be good. "Why?"

"Aww you are no fun Ivan." She said giving him a small pout and then burst out laughing. "At least I got you to laugh." She gave him another nudge with her shoulder while she quickly finished off her soup.

Mia knew plenty of people but she didn't know whether Ivan would want them all at his house. "Well I have a few friends. But this is your party. Unless you would like to meet more people." Which when she thought about it, was kinda the point. He did tell her that he would like to start dating again. "There's Marie of course. Destiny, Evelyn, Arya, Neptune, Patroclus, Jacob, Finn, Jake, Matthias." She was sure that there were more people that she knew but she didn't want to go overboard. She was going to say Salander but quickly bit her tongue. That certainly wouldn't be a good idea having him there.

She shrugged her shoulders as she pushed her bowl away. "Just curious. Thought we could sit together and watch Hufflepuff kick Ravenclaw's butt." She teased giving him a wink. "And maybe if we got you out of the castle, you might meet that special girl."
