Dallin nodded, half-smiling at her introduction. There sure were a lot of people with unique names here. It was cool though; cool names were awesome. "Nice to meet ya," he said, turning slightly toward her as she asked another question.
"Fourth year," he answered, putting his other elbow on the table. "I'm a transfer, though, so it's my first year here." He looked at her for a second, trying to guess what year she was in, but gave up. He really couldn't tell. "You?"
He laughed at her response, wondering if she thought it'd be fun if she had four sisters. Maybe girls were different, and they'd like that. "I guess that depends on what your definition of 'fun' is." He told her, his voice serious. He could remember being a little boy, and having to play with dolls and play dress up to even be included in their play time. No. Not fun at all. It was times like those when he wished he had a brother.
Or a dad that cared about spending time with him.
He looked back over at the Slytherin table. He could see other colors blended in with the green, and smiles and stuff, so the students in that house must be nice, too. "I need to meet some Slytherins," he said outloud and with a determined nod.
"Well, it's not boring," He told her, shrugging one shoulder. His life was boring; he liked hearing about other peoples' lives. Even if that made him sound weird. o_O
Dal nodded; he understood what that was like. The whole wanting to do things the muggle-way thing. "That's how both of my parents are. When my sisters turned seventeen and could start using magic... they weren't very happy." He frowned. His parents were those kind of people who didn't like what they didn't understand. Although usually they were pretty cool about having children with magical abilities, as long as those abilities weren't used very much at home.
Dal caught a movement out of the corner of his eye, and looked toward it. He said Satine wink at him. It took him a little while to get the reason, but when he figured it out, he blushed. Hey, he couldn't help it if girl's were drawn to him. () He waved back at her and smiled before she looked away.
Hearing a familiar voice a little along the table, Aimée looked up from Harley and spotted Dallin. She smiled, but noticed that he was surrounded by quite a few people, and so was unsure whether to speak to him or not. Deciding that her confidence wasn't that up yet, she settled for a small wave in his direction, hoping that he would catch it, and then returned to Harley. She's talk to him later, maybe.

Charisa smiled broadly. "That's great!" she said. "And I'm sure that the people in Spain are lovely too," She laughed lightly.
At the mention of classes and school subjects, Charisa's excitement level went up and up. She nodded with enthusiasm at Natasha's words. "Charms sounds like fun, but I'm really looking forward to Care of Magical Creatures," she said. "I've read a lot about magical creatures, especially over this past summer. It's all very fascinating!"
Mmmmmhm, it was nice to have a fellow first year in her house that was excited for classes. Really, the work was important, but Charisa was sure they'd have great fun too. And hopefully, she and Natasha would see a lot of each other at class.
"You know, I'm also excited for the Quidditch!" she added. "Never been to a Quidditch game before. Actually, never been on a broom at all by myself. Flying lessons'll be a disaster for me." She laughed.
Care of Magical Creatures would be interesting too she thought, but at the mention of Quidditch, Natasha was suddenly confused. "What's Quidditch?" she asked, hoping this wasn't a stupid question. She had read as much as she could about the magical world, mostly history and stuff like that. But she hadn't read anything about Quidditch. "They aren't going to make us fly are they?" God she hoped not. She was terrified of heights.
"It is," Ellie agreed with Vashti, smiling. But the smile didn't last long. Why would she try to give it to Jacob? "Oh, no, he's seen it already." He kinda had it for the past..however long. And Ellie admitted herself surprised that he hadn't lost it.
She obviously didn't think Jacob a very responsible or capable person.
And the Jacob plopped onto the ground. Heh. But it was confusing Ellie more and more. Did he not understand what happened? She thought she'd figured it out pretty well.
"What happened," she began, crossing her arms again. No, she wasn't going to sit. She was taller than the both of them this way. "Was that Vashti's badge ended up in your envelope." Simple enough. "Who cares why? Owls get mixed up all the time. Simple mistake."
So NOW, let's try again, "Congratulations Vashti. You'll be great." BEAM.

But...what? Vashti's badge? This wasn't her badge. Was it? No, she was quite sure it wasn't. Wouldn't it have been in her letter if it was meant for her? Why did Ellie think it belonged to her?
"Actually, I'm pretty sure this is Jacob's," Vashti said, turning to Ellie. "I mean, yeah, owls can get mixed up, but I got my own letter, not his." She was pretty sure she had, anyway. She'd look at it to prove it to them but it was stuff in her trunk somewhere on the train - or maybe it was in her dorm by now. She didn't know. Point was, she didn't have it on her. "But...we could always go ask Professor Vindictus if you want to make sure." Just in case there was a mix-up, though Vashti really doubted it.
Jacob looked at the badge for a few seconds then listen to both girls. Ellie tried to explain what she didn't know... which was typical Ravenclaw behavior, Jacob had to admit that even he had done it before. He was so sure that the letter was adressed to him, and the badge certainly came in that envolope... Jacob was not crazy! the Letter was definently his!
SEE! She got her letter, Jacob got his own, and JD was in America. "That Badge was in the letter, with my name on it! I highly doubt, that Vashti would be getting fifth year books, and information about OWL Exams." he said angrily, Ellie was really becoming a know it all... Just because she doesn't see Gorillas following her, doesn't mean Jacobs crazy and always wrong. "Now, if it was in MY letter, then it is mine."
Jacob got up off the ground and raised himself to his full height, Several inches over Ellie. He rolled up his sleeves slightly, revealing a portions of the tatoos all along his arms and waved his finger at Ellie. "You... are on very thin ice, until I saw you, I had gotten used to the idea of being Captain. Now... I AM CAPTAIN." he started "And right now, you'd be lucky to make the team" cause if you can't work with the rest of the team, you can't be on the team. "And you're very lucky I don't report you for stealing the captains badge." He then snatched it out of her had and walked back to where he had been sitting, before he had been pulled away.
Half way there he turned to them, "If you want to check it, go right ahead... Vindictus, is right up there." he said and motioned his head to the staff table. Jacob wouldn't suggest it... the man didn't really seem all to pleased at the moment.

"So," she asked Alex "Do you have a favourite subject? I mean, 2 years at Hogwarts, you must have a clue?" she asked with a smile.
"Me? Oh no." Alex laughed shaking his head. "I'm a transfer I start today. But my favourite magical subject is flying and Defence Against the Dark Arts." he winked.

She nodded. "Yeah, they're not bad. Maybe I should introduce you to my friends some time. If I just knew where they were..." she said, looking around. She didn't know where they went. Hmm.
"Well I'm glad you don't think my life is boring." she said with a light laugh. Hmm. "So, you play any quidditch?" she asked. Yes, she loooved quidditch.
Ellie frowned. "Oh. That's a real bummer. But I know how that goes. My mum hated it when my dad used magic. It was a bit frustrating." She said, glad that she could actually relate with someone.
It seemed like they had reached that part of the feast. She had gotten the chance to get reacquainted with some of her fellow Hufflepuffs, and now it was time to meet some people from the different houses. She strolled over to the Ravenclaw table, and sat down looking for someone to talk to.

"I think you'll be okay." she said with a smirk. "You just gotta quit biting people. Most people don't look for that in a friendship. Er... Did she really just say that? Wow, way to be a freak Ellie. Hrmm. Eh, redeem yourself, redeem yourself! "So. I talked to Fee a little bit ago. She said she's trying out for quidditch too. Soo, maybe we could do a little practicing some time soon?" she said with rasied eyebrows. Just saying. Juuust sayin.
Ooh, did she agree. She had two options: agree with Alex and let him know even more that you like him. OR: play stealthy-hard-to-get-Ellie and say maaaybee. She raised an eyebrow with a shifty look on her face. "Oh, do I agree? What a good question... Well, I guess you'll just have to keep sweet talkin' to find out." Oh yess, she was a little minx, she was. Bahah.

"That'd be cool," he said brightly, "I mean, if they liked me." He frowned slighly. His eyes widened, though, when he realized he had said that out loud. Eh. He'd have to watch what he said. Didn't want to sound insecure or anything like that...
He gave her a small smile. Nah, he didn't think her life was boring. "I love Quidditch." He nodded, and laughed a little. "Not saying I'm good at it, but I do like it. I love any sport, really. I played a few in muggle school." When he had first heard of the wizarding sport, of course he had tried it out. He was a pretty good flier, yes, but he'd never been on the Quidditch team at Merlin's. The tryout thing freaked him out.
"I bet," he agreed, nodding slowly a few times. He tried to imagine his mom or dad doing magic, but the thought made him laugh.
Oh Merlin, not more yelling. Why was everyone (well, okay, it was only two guys so far) yelling tonight? Granted, this was Jacob, and he yelled fairly often, whereas that Leo boy...well, she'd just met him so she didn't know if it was a common thing for him.

Ellie realized her mouth had fallen open, and quickly closed it. She had been totally silent during the both of their explanations. And what Jacob had said about the OWL information...well, that she couldn't argue with. There was always the case that Vindictus had made a mistake, but now that it came to the point where the only way this would be fully resolved would be to go to him, she'd rather not. He scared her.
And then Jacob's speech about her stealing his badge and not being on the team anymore...Wow. So...he really was captain then? Like really?
Also, Vashti was pretty calm about this whole matter. Whereas Ellie's head was just buzzing with rejections. "Did you already know about this?" she asked her. Because, that really wasn't nice Mr. Blunt, to not let Ellie in on it. HMPH.
But then again, she was afraid to not be on the team. So..."I should go apologize?" Yes?
She hovered by Vashti to listen to the answer to her previous two questions, then went and sat next to Jacob. "I'm sorry? Congratulations Captain." This was going to take a loooooooong time to accept.

Ellie nodded. She'd seen a few muggle sports before. Her mum enjoyed watching some game involving an orange ball and a net. Called netball or hoopbasket or something weird like that. "Oh okay. Do you have a preffered team?" she asked. "What muggle sports do you play?" Maybe she knew some of them?

The feast had already begun when Sofia entered the hall. She noticed that there were a lot of people sat in groups talking so as fast as she could she perched on the end of the bench on the Ravenclaw's table. She swore she had never seen so much food in her life. There was enough to feed everyone in the hall twice and still have food left over. Her parents had said that feasts at Hogwarts were always amazing.

Sofia perked up at the sound of Quidditch- she loved the sport after all. Grabbing her plate she moved towards the conversation. "Hi", she waved awkwardly, "I'm Sofia, I'm a first year, can I sit with you?"

Biting people? Alex' eyes widened slightly, was that the impression Ellie had of him? That he went around biting people? Oh no, that was just so very, very wrong. "But... When have I ever done that?" Alright perhaps he had bit a few people but never when Ellie had been close to him. And he'd only bit people who had been teasing him. Heh, good times.
Subtle subject change, Alex grinned and nodded. "Definitely, we have to get some practise before the try outs." he winked. More time together = Woot!
Oh she was such a cryptic girl, would he ever figure her out? Hm, probably not. "I guess so." he shrugged. Well whatever it took, she would agree with him. If some sweet talking was all that was needed then he could do it all year long.
Spike scratched his head as he made his way from being sorted to his House table. He frowned underneath his hair, and he muttered himself. About what was anyone's guess, but they would probably get the feeling of disbelief as he spoke. He wasn't thought to be clever, especially by his parents...unruly and boyish with a love of all things creepy crawly or muddy. Studying had never exactly been his thing. Not the behind the desk type. Exploring woods - now that was a completely different matter. Maybe the Sorting Hat appreciated that? Because otherwise Spike really couldn't see why he was here.
"'Lo Ellie," he said, cheeks puffed out in perplexion. Though, he was glad to see her familiar face in his house. And he'd liked her, so least he stood a chance of fitting in even if he wasn't the brainiest. "Apparently I'm a Ravenclaw."
Looking up as she heard a voice near her shoulder, Aimée managed not to jump this time, and just smiled hesitantly. "Yes... um, of course you can," the French girl said, gesturing to a seat near her. "Thanks." Said Willow sitting down. "Aimee* is a lovely name too. Are you French? You sound French... i love the French accent. It's trez magnifique! I'm from Ireland though I lived in Yorkshire. Then I didn't really live anywhere...Now I live here." Willow looked up at the ceiling. "...Woah. How do they do that?"

Oh she was such a cryptic girl, would he ever figure her out? Hm, probably not. "I guess so." he shrugged. Well whatever it took, she would agree with him. If some sweet talking was all that was needed then he could do it all year long.
Oh, no. He took that exactly the way Ellie did not want him to take it. It was a joooke. And a weird one at that. *headslap* "Er... No, I was kidding. You don't really seem like some one who would go around nomming on people." She said with a nervous laugh. Yeah, nervous. Alex did that to her, made her all nervous when he was around her. And made her say weird things.
Ellie nodded. "Yes we do! Speaking of, I need to figure out when tryouts are..." She trailed off, talking more to herself than Alex. She turned back to him. "Beware, Alex Reed. I'll knock you off your broom." She challenged with a wink. That was, unless he continued to make her nervous. Then she'd just fall off her broom without physical interference.
Ellie frowned. She was hoping he'd carry on the "sweet talkin", but all he had said was "I guess so." She hoped he didn't think she was a complete flirt, throwing herself at him. That would be oh-so very sad. "Yeah..." She said with a mild laugh. She didn't really know what to say. That always happened to her too when she was around Alex. He was like a walking confundus charm, always leaving her speechless whenever he was near her.

Nerida walked over to the table and thought to herself breath Nerida you will be fine...oh no I wont I am already talking to myself like a lunatic!! She saw one of the girls that she had met at Gringotts she walked over and said Hey Willow! She then sat down next to her...
Willow couldn't stop grinning. "Isn't it fantastic here? I mean, really fantastic? Wow, oh wow, oh wow wow wow! I am ecstatic! the food is incredible and jeez is the whole building incredible! I wonder when we're starting classes... Will we get a tour first? I hope we do..." Willow looked Nerida in the face. "I didn't thank you properly for what you did that day in Gringotts. And while you mightn't want me to be yours, you are my best friend."
It seemed like they had reached that part of the feast. She had gotten the chance to get reacquainted with some of her fellow Hufflepuffs, and now it was time to meet some people from the different houses. She strolled over to the Ravenclaw table, and sat down looking for someone to talk to.
Seeing a girl come over and sit by herself, Dallin frowned. "Hey," he said, leaning over the table to look at her, "Wanna join us?" he glanced at Ellie and Fee, sure (or hoping, at least) that they wouldn't mind.

Hey, I'm sure they'll like you. They're really nice and pretty chill." She said, smiling. Boy, she loved her friends. "You're pretty cool too." She poked him in the arm.
He just looked at her when she asked if he got to be their dress up doll. "I refused to wear a dress." he told her simply. He kept his face remotely emotion-free for a second before smiling and shaking his head. "I know that sounds pathetic. But trust me, it was not my first choice."
"Oh, well thanks," he said with a chuckle. "You're pretty cool yourself." And her friends probably were too. Because cool people had cool friends, usually.
"I'm a fan of Puddlemere United. Although the Holyhead Harpies aren't bad either." he smirked down at the table; of course he liked the all-girls Quidditch team. That was a given. He looked up, staring at nothing for a little while he thought about the sports he played.
"Well, I like to play football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. I was on a city league football and baseball team." He was pretty sure that if he had gone to muggle high school, he would've tried out for the school teams for those two sports. "And I surf and swim." He remembered. "Do you like muggle sports?"

Satine smiled as the girl said Starshine...o well she would answer to it. "It's nice to meet you Keeley...I like that name. " she said watching the girl taking the parchment and then glancing in her purple bag she pulled out a purple wooden box. "I have tons of colors of quills that you are more than welcome to use...there's even one in here..." she said as she opened it and dug through them grabbing a white one, "that will draw in whatever color you tell it to...it's my favorite...it's makes my notes in classes colorful."
Satine felt embarrassed...,"O sorry I thought you were younger than that...well that'll be a compliment as you get older because you'll always look younger than you are so." she said with a wink. "And yes we are by far the best looking group of students in the Great Heall." she said doing a little pose as she sat there waiting for the food to get there.
"So, Keeley where are you from?" she said deciding to start up a real convo with the girl.
[textcut=GrapeyGrapers McGrapperstien...haha...okey see you later then..."}

Satine shook her head, "Yes I thought it was odd also. But some schools just don't even really acknowledge them. They still view them a lot like the Death Eaters from the history books did. It's kind of disturbing. At one school my host family told me not to mention that my dad was a muggle...and boy was I happy they gave me that advice." she said shaking her head in a left and right motion.
Her face lit up when Fallon mentioned the girly stuff, "O I loved it. They encouraged us to be different and we could decorate our house robes and everyone wore heels and jewelery galore and...welll...it was a dream come true for me...I just loved it...and I got lots of heels as going away presents..." she said with a smile and held up her blue pair that she had on now.
She shook her head at Fallon and could tell that she thought there was more there and that maybe she wasn't the only one that had dreams of wearing a badge as well. She smiled at Fallon with an I know how you feel look.
"O yes Seventh Year prank...I'm going to start thinking about this hard...maybe there's some ideas in the yearbooks from the past few years..." she said thinking about the library...her fave place in the school..."Well, maybe we could put together three or four pranks for our last year...and we now have a whole year to plan them...yes yes yes..." she said shaking her head up and down.
Keeley smiled. She had always liked her name, even if it was super weird. But then again, she was super weird too, so it all worked out in the end. Staring at the awesomely magical color changing quill of awesome, the girl felt totally in awe. "C-can I borrow it?" It was soooo purty.
"No worries, I have a bit of a baby face. My hair probably doesn't help." Almost everyone else Keeley had met with a pixie cut was, like, seven. But she quite liked her baby face and hair. "I suppose it'll be a blessing, eventually." Giggling, Keeley played with the quill so that it inked rainbow. Gah, so freaking cool! But she also had to agree, the Ravenclaw table was quite full of hot super models. Giggle!snort.
"I actually grew up in Germany, but now I live with a gypsy caravan." Yeah, her backstory was sort of jacked up. But living with gypsies was quite awesome. "Where are you from?" MERLIN. When would the food get here? Keeley felt as though her stomach would implode. She was definately a hungry hungry hippo.
Gasp, the little punk just called her a brute! She laughed and dramatically dropped her jaw. "Hey, I'll remember that one! Nah, you didn't overstep at all, I was just... er, flustered a bit. No offence or disrespect taken." She said smiling. She knew he was just playing around.
She tapped her chin thoughfully. "Hmm, about myself... Well, I'm from Ireland, grew up there my whole life. Mum is a muggle, my dad was a wizard. I have one brother who is also a wizard but one would never know. He works in Scotland for some muggle clothing company. My mum likes him best." And she didn't have a hard time admitting it either. Ellie waved her hand.
Anyway, for a couple years now I've been staying at the Leaky Cauldron for a few weeks before school begins again. My mum and I don't really see eye to eye so it's best for the both us to take small doses of each other." she laughed half-heartedly. "That's about it..." She said. Well there was more, yes. But she didn't want to overwhelm him with all of it at once.
Draven couldnt help but giggle when Ellie got shocked by his teasing. He became a little more sorrowful when she explained her relationship with her mother. He looked at her with saddened eyes,
"Oh Ellie, im sorry to hear that about you and your mother. It must be kind of lonely right now being away from home that long. Where is your dad in all this?" he asked.
He really felt bad for her and gave her a quick hug to try and cheer her up. He himself has had some trying moments the last couple of years but he was at least able to be with his parents so he knew it must of been hard these last couple of years. He was proud of her though for her bravery as she seemed to take it all in stride.
smiling at her she said "I brought two actually my balck and white shorthair Felidea and my elf owl Tytoni i've had them since i started my first year, how about you?" she asked her new friend happily
"no i havn't i'll probably apperate there when im old enough" she said with a giggle "it really is great here so many intresting secrets in the castle and it gorund it really is amazing"
"My black cat Pandora came with me. I had to have a friend keep her for me until we came back. I've missed her terribly," Rowan said, while wondering what exactly Panda would be getting into while they were all eating.
