"Cool, i hadn’t really thought about taking Divination. Can you go to all the lessons in your first year or do you have to be older for some? “Alice wanted to know exactly what she could take so she could learn as much as possible this year. Plus some lessons sounded really great and she didn’t want to have to wait to take them!

These handshakes were always far too formal for her liking, but the girl didn't want to be seen as rude, so always returned one, holding her hand out delicately and shaking back. "It's a pleasure to meet you Kellen" she smiled. "Oh thats okay, not a lot really happened to be honest" she was far too distracted by it all, and not forgetting how.. emotional she was feeling as well. "I'm sorry, I don't actually know what that is" she stated, slightly embarrassed by that fact, but she was pureblooded, there was a lot she didn't know of.

"Do you mind if I sit? The Slytherin table was getting a little bit too crowded?" she asked eying the empty seat next to him.

Satine glanced over and thought she saw the cookie girl from earlier. She leaned towards her and held out hand, "Howzit, I'm Satine Farris, sixth year..well...Ravvie..." she said with pride, "Are you the girl that brought us cookies earlier? If so, they are scrumdiliuptuos! Thanks for thinking about us Claws."

"Don't worry about it," Ellie smiled at him, "The Sorting Hat knows what it's doing." And anyway, in answer to his next question, "It is nice. The stairs are a bit of a nuisance, but you get used to it." Plus, otherwise they wouldn't have the stellar view of the mountains.

She was glad he relaxed. She wanted to make sure that he was plenty comfortable at school. It was an awfully long time until the holidays.

Play Hide and Seek with him? It had been quite a while since she'd played that game. "Of course I would." And maybe she could get some others to do so as well. But the Room of Requirement would be off limits. Otherwise, it would be totally unfair.

"We could do that, too." Ellie smiled. She was really curious about the Squid. It would be awesome to see it.

Manly like. "Quite fun, ol' bean." Well he was old, him being a seventh year and all. " Eeeh scratch the bean part, odds are you don't like being called a bean." She for one didn't feel too fond of it herself.

Her nervousness dwindling away now that she'd found someone she knew, Ivory burst into the most words she'd said all day. "There was the wedding, Arya's brother you know, and that was loads of fun...Oh and we ended up going on a family vacation. Hit the beach, some amusement parks that were fantastic. One of them even almost put the Gringott's carts to shame. Almost. And then..." She took a quick breath and let it out in more words. "My little brothers and I stayed with our new great aunt while my parents went to research some plant or other in Italy. Which was interesting to say the least. Much cleaning... Tell me do I smell of moth balls and old people? Because I honestly feel like I spent enough time in the attic for the smell to be infused in my skin. " Exhaling a sigh that sent a tendril of hair flying away from eyes, she shook her head ruefully at the tedious memories of her great aunt and her disapproving demeanor on everything that was her. "But anywho, then we all met up here in London for shopping and whatnot and then I got my letter and well you could've knocked me over with a feather with how surprised I was to have a badge. Aaand you wouldn't believe-"

They'd met but it probably wasn't under the best of circumstances and there'd been sooo many epople in that compartment; Maybe she should introduce herself again...

"Aha so that's where you were." There was no doubt in her mind who the culprits were considering she herself loved to partake in the same conversations. Sadly she'd spent most of the train ride just roaming around so she'd probably escape the Ravenclaw table in a bit to go spend some quality time with her best friend. But for now..."For what it's worth I think its a justifiable excuse." Grinning at the head girl, she looked back and forth between the two of them."So guys how does it feel to be head people?"

Emily saw Keeley now, and she was talking to another girl. She slid over and introduced herself to the girl "Hello, my name is Emily!" she said smiling, Her wild long blonde hair once again fell into her face and Emily grabbed a paisly scarf and pulled it back from her face. "What is yours?" she asked extending her right hand in greeting. her wrist had silver bangles that matched the ones around her ankles. Her bare feet felt the chill of the stone floor and she smiled kindly. She really wished Emilya was here, but since it had been two years since her death she decided to drag her mind away from that thought and keep it on the pressent situation.

Emily smelled of fresh air, having spent her entire summer in the Gypsy village, and every summer and vacation since third year, the smell seemed to stay with her.

Satine turned a little bit startled as a new girl introduced herself...man there were tons of peeps this term. "O Howzit! It's nice to meet you Emily, I'm Satine, sixth year!" she said holding out her right hand for a shake.

"Welcome to Ravvie!" she said with pride as she reached for a pitcher and poured herself some more pumpkin juice. She took a quick sip and then placed it back down.

"So Emily where are you from?" she said with her usual sparkling smile as she pushed a bright purple stray bang behind her left ear with her left hand.

Emily looked around her, she must look a sight! She wore a white peasant blouse, a black scrap-skirt she had made from black fabric scraps she had gathered all summer and her ravenclaw robe. She also wore no shoes and the bottom of her feet looked dark from their toughness.
A year ago Daniel wouldn't have believed that he could miss hogwarts this much. He missed his friends, the great hall, hogsemede even the homework. At first Daniel had thought going home three months before the holidays would be fun and at first it had been. He hadn't known why he'd been pulled out of school. Carolyn picked him up from the station and bought him some ice creem but then she told him dad was ill. That worried Daniel . For the next five months he was alone at home with dad. Carolyn told him that no one else had time to look after him. Barry would visit every few days and Carolyn every two weeks but he was left mostly on his own.

A week ago dad had started getting better so Daniel finally convinced dad to let him go to school after Barry promised to check on him once every day.

So finally Daniel was back after 6 months and he just wanted to put everything behind him so he sat down and tried to see if any of his friends were here

While Daniel was surveying the hall his eyes fell on an older girl who wasn't wearing shoes. Poor her. ”Do you want my shoes?” he asked as kindly as he could manage. Hopefully she wouldn't take offence. This was one of the first times he had ever been this nice to a stranger hopefully it wouldn't be the last

"No way!" He laughed lightly at her enthusiasm. "Well, no, of course not." he shook his head like that was an awful idea, but was having a hard time keeping the smile off of his face. "I'm not that shallow." Aaaand that was a big fat lie.

He laughed at her expression, but looked away incase she thought he was actually laughing at her. (Eh, there is a difference between the two things). He nodded when she said she liked soccer. That sport was pretty popular everywhere, wasn't it? "We should play some time, maybe. I'm not too good either." It sounded like a fun thing to do... until he realized that he didn't have a soccer ball with him, and probably no one else did either. Eh. Oh well.

Starting to feel somewhat bored, Evangeline walked from the Slytherin table, and stopped at the Ravenclaw table. It was somewhere to go, and she was pretty sure that she didn't yet know anyone from Ravenclaw house. It didn't seem so crowded, as well.

Emily smiled, "Hello satine, I'm a fifth year." Emily gave one of her signature mysterious smiles. "I am from Canada... I used to live in my fathers mothers house with my parents in New Brunswick, but now I live in a gypsy village in a small field in the middle of a large forest in NB still." Emily laughed. "How about you darling?" She asked.

Emily laughed, but not in an unkind way. "No I'm fine, but thanks very much though. I don't wear shoes unless I absolutely have to."

Ben was glad that Jessica had opted to lead him to his table even though he had noted that she was actually a Gryffindor. The hall was full of people which made Ben very nervous. Even more than the people, the fact that he had no idea what was going on bothered him.
It occured to him that since Jessica was a sixth year, she could probably help him with that. He turned to her and asked, "So, what exactly happens now?"

Satine glanced up from her conversations and saw a Green rober headed their way sitting down just a few chairs down. She smiled towards the girl, "Howzit, I'm Satine, sixth Year Ravvie." she said with pride as she waved at the newcomer to the table.

She shimmied up closer to Fallon on her right side and said, "Here come sit down here by us so we can talk some more before the food gets here," as she said this her stomach growled loudly and through giggles she said, "which hopefully will be soon."

Lexi was trying to make her way back to the Gryffindor table after her little stop off at the Huffie table... too bad it was all jammed up and she had to pass through the Ravenclaw area to make it. Sighs.

Spotting a Slytherin girl looking rather bored and a bit out of place Lexi smiled brightly. "Hey there!" she said as she bounced up beside her and extended her hand. She may as well make a Slytherin ally if she could.. other than Salander anyway. Hehe. "I'm Lexi Denver," she told the girl.

"But I actually grew up in Texas!" she said with her thick Texas accent excitedly....this was the best part...she always loved the way peeps looked at her on that one.
Keeley giggled in excitement. She got her own choice of any of the superdeduperawesome quills? Yes! Adjusting her large, nerdy glasses, (they weren't actually for bad vision, she just thought that they were cute.) she rifled through the little box. Ooh, there was a bright pink one, and one with black and white stripes, and a peacock one, and.. this may take a while.

Keeley gave the girl a small smile. Her history was kida weird, and not always as wonderful as she made it sound. But learning Divination at the gypsy caravan certainly was the life for her. Of course, they always ate a lot of traditional gypsy junk, so a good old fashioned Hogwarts feast was definately in order. "Thanks. I have a whole lot of gypsy artifacts in my trunk. I could show you later, if you want." Yep, she had a whole bunch of cool, gypsy-ish junk.

"Wait- you're American? That's so cool!" Keeley had thought her accent was kinda weird, but didn't say anything. "I went to New York back in my second year, but I've never heard much about Texas. Is it cool over there?" But nothing's cooler than the UK. Except for maybe Narnia. Yep, Narnia wins. Nothing's cooler than Narnia.

"Well I live in a Gypsy village, and most of us don't wear shoes... I've gotten used to it."

Keeley gave the girl a small smile. Her history was kida weird, and not always as wonderful as she made it sound. But learning Divination at the gypsy caravan certainly was the life for her. Is it cool over there?" But nothing's cooler than the UK. Except for maybe Narnia. Yep, Narnia wins. Nothing's cooler than Narnia.
"Gypsy artifacts...no way." Satine said and then thought did I just say that...wow...."Yes that would be great. I'll have to come visit the firstie's dorms at some point...I haven't been there in ages." she said excitedly...she'd never seen anything Gypsy past what they had on Muggle movies which probably wasn't accurate anyways.

"Yes American to the bone." she said holding up her right arm and acting like she had muscles which she didn't. "OOOO really the New York school? Last term I studied abroad and got spend six weeks there...it was lots of fun, but I am sooo happy to be back at Hogwarts." she paused for a moment and thought about the Texas question....

"Well if you mean cool as in Awesome well yes it's that...but if you mean cool as in cold...it gets pretty cold up in the Northern tip of Texas, but I'm from San Antonio which is..weelll...kind of in the middle and it stays pretty just moderate I guess...just rains a lot there...but not even really alot compared to here." she paused hoping she wasn't rambling on and on because she could do that about Texas and America.

Em's eyes widened abit upon hearing Dallin was a transfer student. She hadn't met anyone that had transfered into the school. Well, at least no one that had shared this information with her. But then again, nearly of the people had met last year were first years, so there was no room for transferring. "Really?" she asked smiling. "Where did you transfer from?"

Emily laughed when Satine tried to speak in a Canadian accent, the way she said Eh so was not right! "Yes I am 100% Canadian Eh!" She said, laughing. "Oh that's cool! My father runs a large maple syrup manufacturer thing... anyway he makes a lot fo money haha! Mum works for the ministry, but I live with my aunt in the gypsy village, mum visits a lot but you know she can't be there all the time. My aunt is the knowing one in the village, in other words the expert on divination, all forms in fact. I am in training to become the new knowing one."

Fallon nodded. It was really sad that no one understood that. Muggles were always going to be around. She saw nothing wrong with them. Muggle Studies was one of her favorite classes after all.

Fallon grinned. "I had too. I couldn't go away to Italy for a whole year without getting you guys stuff!" Plus it gave her a reason to shop. And shopping was fun. She watched as Satine quickly opened the box, revealing the shiny necklace inside. "I'm glad you like it." She had a feeling Satine would like the purple flowers. When she put it on, Fallon smiled, glad she'd gotten her friend something she liked. "It looks great!"

Fallon looked around and back towards the Slytherin table. Aaron still wasn't there. "I think I'm going to head back to the Slytherin table for now. It was great to see you again." She gave her friend a hug before returning ot her respective table.

A gypsy huh? He'd of a gypsy before but couldn' t remember what it meant so he just pursed the shoe issue ”But what if you go ona walk in the woods don't your feet get hurt?”
