Dallin had most definitely not been standing alone looking like a lost puppy. He had been standing alone in a dignified way... and he was so glad when he saw Ellie and heard her yell at him. He made his way over to her, and smiled as he joined the group she was with. He waved at the people he didn't know before turning to Ellie.

"Hey! Congrats on getting the Cup!" She was on the team, right? Because if not... that would be embarrassing for him.

Good kid, coming over.

Heh.

BEAM.

"Thank you!" she squealled, squeezing him. Beause Ellie was just in a happy, hugging mood.

"Oh, you're welcome!" Dal said, slightly surprised that Ellie hugged him. He hugged her back, chuckling. "I, uh, actually didn't go to the game, but um... yeah. It was awesome I'm sure." Ahem, anyway.

"So are we all just standing around here?" he asked, smirking a bit. "Is that what you do at Hogwarts parties?"

WHAT?

Ellie released him and...blinked...and stared...and..."Dallin!" Bad, bad, bad, "You have to support your team! The more out there, the better. I expect more of you next term." And he WILL be cheering next term. The only acceptable excuse for not, would be if he joined the team. She wasn't going to mention that, though.

"Noo," she said, laughing. "Okay, well, yes. But there's also dancing," she gestured to the few doing so, which reminded her once again of what she had set out to do, "and even better, there's FOOD." And a cake that Ellie was wondering if a 'cutting' ceremony would be involved, or if it was just..whoever picked first and then help yourself...

Cake...was slowly bringing her appetite back.

Dallin grimaced at Ellie's reaction and looked at the ground, shuffling one foot. "I do support the team! That's... why I'm here! I just lost track of time and missed the game and ... uh, anyway, you still won so that's all that matters." He said the last part quickly, looking back at Ellie with a sheepish smile on his face.

His eyes widened when she pointed out the dancing. "Ooh! I can dance," he said brightly. He looked at her questioningly, wondering if she would dance with him. He didn't know if he wanted to ask her or not. And... "Oh, great, food!" Because food was better than dancing, as she had said.

Kelley followed the steps. They were surprisingly easy. "I think I'm really getting the hang of this," she said, beaming. She looked into Mikey's eyes. Looking into his eyes was like looking into his soul.... Or something deep like that.

"Don't you worry Finlay Charmichael.. I'm about to rock your world", she said jokingly as she placed her arms around his neck, ready to boogey the... evening?... away.

Oooohhhhh! was that a snide bread roll comment?! She knew it was going to happen sooner or later- but she did preffer later. She looked at Finn to see his reaction :-\

Hearing Spikes voice from amongst the crowd, peering over Finlay's shoulder Emily saw a black eyed Spike clutching the trophy to his chest- at least it was in safe hands. "Don't worry Spike, I have an extra special hug for you later", she said winking at him. He really was a wonderful little kid, he had guts.

She turned her head slightly to see how Deus and Vashti were progressing. "Ooohh yes the twist! forgot about that one!" she said excitedly. Uh-oh... it didn't look like Vashti wanted a partner? why ever not? they were so much fun... she flashed a smile at Finlay as they moved to the beat, his hands secured around her waist.

Seeing Jacob sitting over at a table with.......... Vindictus........... she called out to him. Why was he staring at them so intently? He looked as if he was Voldemort and he found a Harry sitting under his tree with a ribbon around his neck for Christmas..........

"Oi Captain! you gonna dance or what?!" she yelled- hoping she hadn't hurt Finn's ears in the process. She rubbed his ears better anyway.

Lexi snorted at Tuney and hooked her arm through hers. "Sort of? Please! I think it was pretty spot on really," she said with a fit of giggles.

Giving Finn and Jimmy a little wave and a smile she escorted Miss Bott away from the little group. "I am not sure where the missing people are, but we can sure look," she said with a knowing glance.

Ellie was doing a fairly good job of keeping a stern look on Dallin... Until he said that.

Hehe. "We did win." BEAM.

"You can dance?" She was surprised. He really didn't strike her as the dancing type. "Yes, food." Lots and lots of scrumptious food. She was staying away from the dinner rolls, though. She'll never think of them the same way again.

Marie sorta laughed at Evelyn. The girl was acting as if she thought Marie was dead. It had only been a slight case of Dragon Pox... no big deal. "Yeah thanks, I'm glad I'm better too." Cuz yeah, she could get out and about now.

Marie wrinkled her nose when Mia mentioned the house cup. The mere thought of losing to Gryffindor made her cringe. "Maybe I should go do some homework or something, you know to try and get my house at least one cup this term." Sure the end of term was near but that didn't mean she couldn't still get her house some points.

Looking back to Treyen she smiled... again. "Well you guys did play a good game today." Although Jake was way off his game. She had never seen a match where the boy didn't get at least one snitch.

When her friends started talking amongst themselves she took the opportunity to look around. Maybe she would find some of her other friends and go chat with them...

Or maybe the first person her eyes would land on would be Jim and Neptune. Only thing, Neptune was hanging on Finn. Well that's not how it's supposed to go. She didn't break up with Jim so Neptune could hang on Finlay. She was tempted to go over there and thump both of them in the head. It was so obvious how they felt about each other, why were they being so damn stubborn about it?

Oh, now Neptune was hanging on... Lexi. Yeah, Marie would just stay where she was... even though she still wanted to congratulate Finn and Jim too on his team winning the cup. Oh well, she would just find him later, or maybe sneak in a hug and congratulations when he wasn't surrounded by all those people.

Lexi gave a giggle and simply nodded her head. It WAS in her nature. Good thing Tuney saw that. Hehehe.

What she heard next brought her up short though... WHAAAA? Turning to look at Neptune, Lexi leaned in closer. "No I had not heard that. With the whole Borr thing... and that whole mess... which remind me to tell you about getting Security called on me... I have been out of the loop," she said in a quiet tone. No good, man. No good.

Nudging the other girl slightly she asked, "You okay?" Then her eyes fell on a certain blonde Slytherin and she kind of scowled for a moment before turning her FULL attention back to Neptune.

He grinned when Ellie's expression suddenly changed. Yes they did, and so it didn't really matter that Dallin hadn't been at the game. Right.

"Why the tone of surprise?" he asked defensively. He laughed, though, because it surpised a lot of people when they found out he could dance. "Well, I kinda can. I can Waltz and Swing." And slowly turn in circles, but did that count? "I'm not spectacular at it, but I know how to do it." He shrugged.

"I'm fine. It's probably nothing." Or it was like she had said and he did break up with her. Neptune shrugged her shoulder haughtily. "He's probably just avoiding me." That's why he wasn't at this party, even though she'd totally come to see him, broken up or not.

And Finny. Few other people that were all into this Quidditch nonsense.

"That's all I wanted, really. To know if you had heard things. Suppose we should... party?" Ehh. A celebration of barbarism at its best.

Jacobs head whiped back around towards the team... dancing, what a useless waste of energy. What was the point... What did he gain from it?

Broken toes, thats what he and other people gain from it. "I don't dance." he said just loud enough so they could hear him over the noise. "I Believe, I established that in the Dancing Lessons." Oh yes, Him and Captain Nia. That was a time that he was trying to push out as much as possible. He made a fool of himself, and made it certain that he would never dance again... EVER!

"Because I don't believe you." Obviously. "You're not the most graceful." He had hit his head when they first met. Just sayin.

Mmm. Ellie eyed him.

Nope. Still didn't believe it.

Lexi nodded her head. Jake did avoid things. A lot. As far as she could remember anyway. "Avoiding... that sounds like Jake." Mhm. Girl power and all that. She would hate on any boy that upset her friend... except for Jim. Anymore anyway.

She had heard nothing. She had been avoiding people since she got back herself. "We had to sing to Lord Borr. It was terrible. He was so mean to Headmaster Tate. He was mean to us all, really. I called him an old wind bag, though and he yelled for Security. I was mortified. I tried so hard to NOT be rude and that came out. I spent the rest of the party crying underneath a table," she admitted to her friend. So. Embarrassing.

Emily shrugged, it wasn't her fault he was going to miss out on all the fun!

She continued to dance with Finlay... admiring his curly hair, She ran a couple of fingers through it.... soft and springy. It felt nice. He felt nice... she moved in a little closer, they were almost chest to chest, nose to nose now.

Man, she was honest.

...But, she did have a point. "I said I wasn't the best at it," he said defiantly. He eyed her back, biting his bottom lip. He listened to the song that was playing and nodded to himself, deciding that he could waltz to it.

"Wanna see for yourself?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow at her.

"You did...what?" Neptune covered her mouth and just HAD to giggle a little. "That's horrible, Lexi. What's so bad about singing though...?" Maybe you just had to be there. She pat-patted Lexi on the shoulder.

Neptune was sort of hungry for snitch-shaped cake. Just saying.

Ellie just grinned back at him. "It's the can that I don't believe, Dallin." Hehe. No way could he be good...or best...or whatever.

"Sure," she said crossing her arms, ready to watch. Dance for her, kid.

"No that wasn't the bad part... it was impromptu, I went to the dais by myself at first because everyone else was too afraid, Tate came to rescue me from the gassy greatness that is Lord Borr, and then it just all went downhill from there," she said with a sigh. "I love to sing. I sang to Salander for Valentine's Day," she said with a smile. Speaking OF!

Lexi cast a glance around in search of her boyfriend... it wasn't like him to not show up for something Quidditch related. Sadface. He must be busy.

Lexi then gave a little shrug and ran her free hand through her hair. "What you wanna do? Grab some food or something? Go set fire to something... Okay, I was totally kidding that time." Unless, ya know, you WANT to.

Dallin blinked, staring at Ellie's crossed arms. He rocked forward on his toes, clasping his hands behind his back sort of awkwardly.

"I sorta need a partner." He said blankly. There was probably a better way to ask her to dance with him, but honestly he was a bit intimated and scared nervous that she'd laugh at him.

Which she probably would anyway.

Neptune totally would have sang for this Borr fellow, too. "I bet Mr. Tate has a pretty singing voice. Unexpectedly pretty." Just an observation. "I bet Mr. Vindictus does too...."


Neptune was still giving Lexi.... skeptical looks. She'd REALLY done all that? Gryffindors lead such peculiar lives.

"Well.... " yeah, Neptune could do with food. But Jim was guarding the table like a toll bridge troll. "....maybe I'm not all that hungry. I could just snack off your plate." Leave Neptune where she was, send Lex to pay the toll and bring back the goods.

Could trolls be handsome? Hmmm.

Amadeus moved away from the crowd of dancers that he was acquainted with. It was rather unnerving to have people want to be party poopers and he was done with trying to make people dance. Just as a song came on that the blue-eyed blonde rather dug, he began pulling off dance moves that he had learned over the summer while on vacation in Italy. That had been the last time that he had truly let go of his inhibitions. Pulling a bit of this and a bit of that, he grooved along to the beat without a care in the world. Who cared if he stunk like a wet dog, or was dancing alone, or was in his quidditch robes? Tonight, manners nor pleasantries mattered to the usually-dapper Ravenclaw.
