The white stone hut looks like it belongs on the beach of Acapulco, seeming a tad fragile with plant stalks making up the roof. But fear not, Maya has made sure it won't collapse on you during a heavy rainfall.
When approaching the ornate door, there is a small sign which says 'Take your shoes off'. Also, you will see a sitting area to the left, complete with its own roof for shade against the sun – if the British weather allows for any. Feel free to take a seat here while you wait for the Professor.
When you step inside, the first thing you notice is the colorful decoration. Following the traditions of the Mexican lifestyle, Maya has placed several zarapes around the hut (which are also strewn around the floor to serve as carpets) and any other keepsakes - reminding her of family and home. The white walls are adorned with picture frames and paintings, most of which were done by her mother.
To the right, you see an open fireplace with more pictures on the mantlepiece. There is a single white rocking chair across from it that Maya highly values. Please don't sit on it – instead, you are welcome to rest behind it, on the large comfy sofa. Keep your feet off the coffe table though!
A big window to the left side of the hut lets daylight pour inside, litting the room. This is the place where Maya's desk is situated for her to start working on assignments and the curriculum. There's a tall bookshelf next to it where all her favorite litterature is stored aswell as books on various Creatures, Veterinary Medicin and Magizoology.
Please remember to knock before entering. If any lack of respect is shown, Maya will not hesitate to take points. Now, when you are called inside, please take off your shoes as Maya likes to walk around barefoot and wants to keep her home clean. Thankyou.
The Professor is in.
She is so in the door practically isn't even there anymore.
Wispering "BE careful" To Bubba,He inches the Owl off his lap ,Grabbing a sheet of parchmentand handing it to her " let me hold her while you do your letter" putting his arms out so she could had the injured bird to him." tell them you you are still safe and you will send anouther school Owl in 3 days because you dont want the same owl coming and going "
"Thanks Mikey..." Emmy held Dapple out for him to hold whilst she wrote her letter.
SPOILER!!: Emmy's letter
Dear mum,
I hope this gets to you all right - I only just got your last letter, so I'm dashing off a quick note to say I'm fine, and I'll write back in about two or three days.
I'm having to borrow a friend's owl, because Dapple was injured - next time, it'll be a school owl.
I'm sure you understand why...
Please write back if you can,
Lots of love,
Emmy xxxxxx
She reread the note, then rolled it up, and glanced at Mikey for permission before attaching it to his owl's leg.

taking the injured owl and craddleing it in his arms.he nods to Bubba,Giving 3 small whistles the great barred Owl waddles over to Em and raises his right wing to give her access to his leg so she can attach her letter.
" Em this is Bubba you just tell him where to go,and give him this"Handing her a smal bit of jerkey then giving a small bit to Dapple "... and he will go If you want him to wait for a reply from your parents you have to tell him to wait and come back to you."

Emmy smiled, and murmured, "Hey Bubba! Would you mind taking this to my mother in Manchester please? And would you be kind enough to wait for a reply?"
She gently and deftly attached the letter to his leg, then gave him the jerky Mikey passed her.
"Thanks Bubba!" she said, releasing him.
Turning to Mikey, she asked, "D'you want me to take Dapple back now?"

Seeing the blood still on her and her clothes.
" She seems to be relaxing so I will hold on to her while you get yourself cleaned up"
Holding the owl up so Em could see her so she could see the bird who was giving the jerky bits a good chewing

Cleaned up...? Oh. Yeah.
But how? Surely that would mean walking all the way back to the castle, then all the way back down, with no guarantee that she wouldn't simply get all bloodied up again!
Nope, she'll wait for Saylen - if it takes all year!
"Thanks Mikey - but I might as well stay as I am... I'll have a good proper bath when I get back to the castle..." she smiled.
At least the bird seemed to have more superficial wounds than anything else - mixed with shock would have produced her earlier stupour.
"Thank goodness she's eating!"

Rembering a spell they had used after the paint ball war in DADA class last year he pulls out his wand
" Hold still,,,,, Tergeo " moving his wand over her hands and robes the blood is erased from her " there that at least looks better but I dont know if I got it all"

Emmy glanced down at her now clean robes and skin.
"Now why didn'tI remember that one? Oh honestly, I'm such a twit sometimes! Thanks Mikey!"
She smiled, and reached out to take Dapple from him... Or maybe she'd let him hold the owl for awhile longer - he seemed to be having a calming effect, and it would be a shame to stop her eating.
As these conflicting ideas crossed her mind, her arms made jerky, involuntaryhalf-movements towards her bird.
"Yes Ma'am. Sorry." Rowan looked down at her feet, trying to think how to begin. She didn't know why this was so difficult for her. "I have a bit of a problem that Rex here suggested you might be able to help me with." Oh just say it already, she told herself. "The problem is I am a metamorphmagus, but I can't always control it. I have tried so hard to get a grip on this thing and I just can't seem to." A small tear rolled down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. This whole thing was so frustrating. "I am afraid of what would happen if I were in the muggle world and something happened. Is there anything you know of that can help me?" She really hoped that she hadn't just made a fool of herself. She just hoped that the professor would understand her predicament and not think her to be another over-emotional little girl.
A problem?
Well, wasn't that why these kids came to her cottage? Heh. But...Maya listened and her frown deepened with every sentence. "Oh, I see." Her frown loosened when she sighed, knowing this wasn't actually something the Mexicana could really help with. "I am sorry it's been difficult for you, but every metamorpmagi has surely been in the same position you have at first." Comforting? Errr. "Unfortunately this is beyond my expertise," she didn't really deal with part-time creatures...if that is what the young girl would decide to transform into. "What I would suggest is speaking to the Professor Magnus - the Transfiguration professor." That was a bit more her terretory? "Or... Why not speak to another Metamorpmagus? Perhaps that could be better, to speak to someone who knows what you are going through." Yes, totally better. "Seek out a Miss Satine Farris, she's in Ravenclaw. I suggest you speak to her, she might be able to teach you how to control your newfound abilities." Yes?

Er, was that a good thing? Coming from Saylen, no one could know, right? Still, the boy kept BOTH his eyes on her as she continued to speak. It must be a good thing to be observant, no? Surely, it was. And...
...blink.
Aslan was a girl? Ha, the lion from Narnia must not like that so much. Treyen...smiled. Genuinely smiled! He'd got it right...sort of. And he was about to exclaim 'Awesome! My first female pet!', but decided against it. Saylen may take pretty Aslan away. "That's good." He finally said, with the same smile, and a little nod.
Ah. So she didn't like his comment? Or maybe one part of it?
"Yes, I understand, Professor," he nodded again, "And I completely agree with that, I wouldn't want Aslan to be seen by Muggles, either," that's why no pictures were ever going to be taken to the now-little Niffler. Except, maybe, if Ellie wanted to do so.
He seemed...happy. Very happy.
Why did he look so happy?
Well, sure, happy was good. But Treyen plus happy plus around her was rare and it almost made Maya look at the boy suspiciously. Hehe. "Yes, good." Her almost monotone echo of Treyen's answer did not go noticed by herself.
But...yes. Sigh."It'll be difficult, keeping those two worlds apart, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out somehow." Yes, call it a compliment or... whatevsss. Hehe. OR, if he didn't figure it out Maya would personally come and take back the creature. Hah.

"Well, for a young knarl like the one you take care of, they need..." time to sound contradictory, "They'll actually need their moder's milk, but since you are their mother, we do not have access to any." Hadn't even heard the term Metamorphmagus before coming to Hogwarts. "I do not know Miss Farris but I will try to find a way to speak with her. Thanks again for all of your help," she smiled at the professor and waited to be dismissed.

Emmy gulped.
"Um, well, it's my owl..." obviously... "I... Have reason to believe she was attacked by Dark wizards..." Rambling again.
"Anyway, she seems to have several superficial wounds, but I think there's something badly wrong with her left wing - it's very limp, and she doesn't seem to have any control over it. And, earlier, I've got a feeling she was in shock, because for quite a long time she just lay there, seemingly unconscious."
Emmy was quite surprised- she'd never been so nervous, and yet so glad that a certain person had arrived before! Nevertheless, she was inordinately grateful that Professor Saylen had appeared.
Well, sure, happy was good. But Treyen plus happy plus around her was rare and it almost made Maya look at the boy suspiciously. Hehe. "Yes, good." Her almost monotone echo of Treyen's answer did not go noticed by herself.

Haha. He knew that look.
Was Saylen expecting a different answer on his behalf? It seemed that she wasn't understanding his reaction. What? He was supposed to be sad to find out that Aslan was a girl? Well, he wasn't, obviously.
GRIN.
"Of course, Professor," HE can figure stuff out. Trust him to do so when something is of his great interest.
And...since everything had been taken care of, then he could leave, right? "Well, I suppose I'll see you around, Professor Saylen, thanks again." Yes, thank you for the most important information ever.

Yes, sometimes you get so involved in your own litte world you can forget what's happening around you. Maya resisted the urge to roll her eyes. But good, she was going to speak to the more experienced Ravenclaw. "Yes, you do that." At her thanks, the Mexicana inclined her head...and wondered if there was something else? "You need assistance with something more?"

Water, that was good. Oh, he believed that, did he? Maya gave him a stretchy smile which dissapeared quickly. "For your knarl's sake, I hope you are." Okay, meanie professor. "You are welcome, Mister Trigwell. Anything else I can help you with?"

Maya's wide eyes narrowed more and more with every word that came out of that little girl. Dark Wizards?"Dark Wizards." Monotone voice again. No, nevermind - she did not want to know. "Allright, left wing. Come inside and place her on the table so I can examine her." the Mexicana opened the door wider, for the girl and the owl to come inside her cottage, while she gathered some ointment jars and clean towels.

Aslan was a girl. Not the lion, but the Niffler.
And so he started to walk away.
HE WAS GRINNING. What is he planning??
She could hear bells, like the ones ringing during a Cinco de Mayo celebration, though this time alarming her, but, she figured her suspicion of this boy was a bit on the exaggeration side. Hmm, yes.
Ofcourse what? Wait, what had he said...what had she said? Dangit! But okay, he was leaving. "Allright then, see you next class, Mister Lockhart." She nodded and offered him a lazy wiggle finger wave.

Once more, Maya watched the student leave her cottage. She was sure Miss Faris could help, afterall, she had alot of experience.
Hm, maybe now she could start hunting figuring out who wrote that strange stuff about her and the guacamole.
Pshh, they just didn't know the power of the avocado, tomato and onion.

Head bowed, carrying her owl carefully, so as not to disturb the wound, Emmy followed Professor Saylen into the cottage, and settled her bird comfortably on the table.
"You will be able to heal her, won't you professor?" she asked nervously, biting her lip.
Pulling off his boots and following Maya and the injured Owl in,Wanting to watch her work so he could learn more on how to treat different wounds, and his fowl mood fadeing " I can wait proffessor"
Seeing something following behind them, Maya turned around a tad confused, and notice it was the young boy. "Mister White, can I help you with something?" Hm?

Having reached into the drawer and gotten the ointment, Maya now proceeded deeper into her cottage to get some towels. Having found her big vial with a cleaning solution, she returned to the young girl and the owl. Placing her things on the table, she then sat down on the sofa and spread the towel on the table, under the owl. "Allright, let's see what the problem is... What is her name?" She never said, right? Or did she forget...
"I'll need you to keep a firm hold on her while I spread out her wing, okay?" She looked at the girl, "First I have to clean the blood and check on her wounds. How many did you say you saw?" With another towel, Maya wet it with the cleaning solution and started to clean the creature.

Allright, he was going to ignore her...well she had important matters to attend to. "It can be used on animals, but that is in extreme cases. I prefer concoting my own remedies for that, specially for creatures." Yes.
"Do you need help with anything, Mister White?" He doesn't seem to have his owl with him.
