| | |  Professor Maya Saylen's Cottage
 The white stone hut looks like it belongs on the beach of Acapulco, seeming a tad fragile with plant stalks making up the roof. But fear not, Maya has made sure it won't collapse on you during a heavy rainfall.
When approaching the ornate door, there is a small sign which says 'Take your shoes off'. Also, you will see a sitting area to the left, complete with its own roof for shade against the sun – if the British weather allows for any. Feel free to take a seat here while you wait for the Professor.
When you step inside, the first thing you notice is the colorful decoration. Following the traditions of the Mexican lifestyle, Maya has placed several zarapes around the hut (which are also strewn around the floor to serve as carpets) and any other keepsakes - reminding her of family and home. The white walls are adorned with picture frames and paintings, most of which were done by her mother.
To the right, you see an open fireplace with more pictures on the mantlepiece. There is a single white rocking chair across from it that Maya highly values. Please don't sit on it – instead, you are welcome to rest behind it, on the large comfy sofa. Keep your feet off the coffe table though!
A big window to the left side of the hut lets daylight pour inside, litting the room. This is the place where Maya's desk is situated for her to start working on assignments and the curriculum. There's a tall bookshelf next to it where all her favorite litterature is stored aswell as books on various Creatures, Veterinary Medicin and Magizoology.
Please remember to knock before entering. If any lack of respect is shown, Maya will not hesitate to take points. Now, when you are called inside, please take off your shoes as Maya likes to walk around barefoot and wants to keep her home clean. Thankyou.
The Professor is in.She is so in the door practically isn't even there anymore.

His slight triumph at finding the word he was looking for made the Mexicana straighten up a bit more. Such a special boy he was. 'Perhaps you've noticed?' Pffffffffffffffffffffffffft. "Ofcourse." She nodded once, not saying anything more and let him continue.
He was letting her know. Allright. Mhm.

Hah, there it came! "I understand that Mister Lockhart." Oh, she totally did. "I do agree you not only have the right to, but should stand up for your rights. I would accept nothing else." If they didn't, well Maya thought they were weak. "Apology accepted." She flashed him a quick smile, but turned serious once more. "I hope you won't make it a habit of walking out on things...sometimes life doesn't give you what you want." Meaning there were times you just had to accept things.
And she still had not heard from Miss Stone. 'Well my baby Knarl is very fast' Rex told the professor. " I have named him"Speedy Gonzalez" Rex said to the professor. " I have been feeding him, excercising him and cleaning him" Rex explained to the professor.

And look! She'd noticed. The boy smiled, because it actually meant that Saylen was paying attention to the little fellows in the Nursery, no matter if other people were taking care of them or not. "Then you must know of which Niffler I speak of...," he started to say, with one nod, "Do you know if Aslan is a boy or a girl?" because he simply didn't know, nor he wanted to find out for himself, it was better if Saylen told him. Will save him a lot of trouble for sure.
GRIN. "Thank you, Professor Saylen." He nodded again, and he was still looking slightly ashamed, it had been the first time (hopefully the last one) that he'd ever left a lesson. However, what she said, sort of reminded him of the same thing Professor Hadley said. This people had a knack for telling them (especially him) that sometimes you don't get what you want. Yes, he got that, alright. "I understand," he said, looking once at Conan, "And I hope I won't make it a habit either." He hadn't acted, in all fairness, too kindly to the Crup either, because he'd walked out on it instead of fighting for the poor guy. Treyen wasn't precisely proud of that. "Well, if I deem you an appropriate caretaker, and you are indeed taking care of Aslan in an appropriate manner and you are responsible," Just a short stare at the boy to make her point. She still remembered his first visit to ask about his previous Niffler. "Then there might be a way for you to keep Aslan." Maya gave him a nod. "You are a fourth year, correct?" And not let him answeeeer, "Ask me again in two years and we'll see what we can do." Sound good?

She looked at the boy and decided to just go along with it, even though it was odd. But it was a tad amusing. "Very well. Thankyou for letting me know, Mister Trigwell." And he had done all of that already? "Then you are on the right path." A path that he had very much more left of. "Be sure to let me know if you need help." Because if he didnt... Oh there would be trouble.

Eyebrow being raised ever so slowly as he considered the known-fact that Saylen simply disliked him. And it was a known-fact because she practically threw him out of the last lesson. Practically.

He HATED that question the moment she started to ask it! It was a question what had gotten him away from Phineas in the first place. Phineas, who was now gone to...wherever all grown-up Nifflers go.
His face was kept cool, though, or as much as he could muster because he was certain that his eyes gave him away all the time. "I...," hate you, Saylen, "...well, from experience...," because he had soooo much experience with Nifflers, "...may guess that it's a girl, because Phineas had been very active from day one, or from the first day he got me, that is," it wasn't as if Treyen had gotten Phineas, but Phineas had gotten Treyen, see? Phineas got an amazing gift. Ha. "Aslan, however, is not as active as he was, and doesn't seem to mind other people around...actually, well, Aslan reacted pretty well to Ellie," who happened to be a girl, and a very pretty one too. So, to him, it only made sense that girls do get along between their own genre, no? Little does he know.
And he had other thoughts, but perhaps with Saylen it was better to say less.
Whyyy was she squinting!? He'd done nothing wrong. Seriously. Well, except for that one time where one Simon De Simpson was also involved. But, really, Saylen needed a trip to St. Mungo's, perhaps he ought to owl Emalyn.
Yes. Treyen nodded. He was understanding what she was saying. Perfectly fine. "Yes, fourth year," he replied, after she'd said all she needed to say, and he knew his request was way off by a couple years, but still, "If you're still here, no?" this was NOT a question for Saylen to answer, that's why he spoke very soon after that, "I mean, you should leave a note in case you leave before I do," and he wasn't saying he'll be doing something for her to leave soon either, just in case.

But Treyen was quite observant, wasn't he? Well...not in the same high standard as Maya, but for a kid, she figured it was enough. Somewhat. And she had no intention of trying to figure out what 'Ellie' was. "How...observant of you." Heh. "But, yes, Aslan is indeed a female." Would he be sad now? Maya flashed him a stretchy smile that didn't quite show much happyness. If she was still here? Wow, this kid really did not like her. Well ditto, young man, di-tto. Hmpf. "Yes..." The Mexicana pursed her lips, "If I am still here. I'll make sure, incase I am not at this school when you graduate, to let the next Professor know of your request." Like, is the creature in danger of being discovered by Muggles. " Heh, yeah.

Rowan heard the professor call out to her to enter the cottage. She stood up and brushed off her feet in case there was any grass stuck to the bottoms. She smoothed out her robes, took a deep breath, and entered the cottage.

Rowan looked down at her feet, trying to think how to begin. She didn't know why this was so difficult for her. "I have a bit of a problem that Rex here suggested you might be able to help me with." Oh just say it already, she told herself. "The problem is I am a metamorphmagus, but I can't always control it. I have tried so hard to get a grip on this thing and I just can't seem to." A small tear rolled down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. This whole thing was so frustrating. "I am afraid of what would happen if I were in the muggle world and something happened. Is there anything you know of that can help me?" She really hoped that she hadn't just made a fool of herself. She just hoped that the professor would understand her predicament and not think her to be another over-emotional little girl.

Ah. So she didn't like his comment? Or maybe one part of it? "Yes, I understand, Professor," he nodded again, "And I completely agree with that, I wouldn't want Aslan to be seen by Muggles, either," that's why no pictures were ever going to be taken to the now-little Niffler. Except, maybe, if Ellie wanted to do so.

Oh, allright. Maya listened to Rex's queries and began formulating her answer, "Well, you may have noticed how suspicious they are of food..." Which can be rather tricky...if you're trying to feed them. "...but mostly anything that is smaller than them can be included in the Knarl's diet. Insects, slugs, mushrooms, various roots and berries." Mmm, yum. "Do not, however, try to feed a Knarl any milk or they will most likely be in danger." To put it nicely. "They are not so much different than a Hedgehog." She nodded more enthusiastically now. He knew what a Hedgehog was, right? Sometimes the knowledge of what these kids didn't know frightened her.

Emmy rushed down to Professor Saylen's office/cottage carrying her injured owl.
Knocking on the door with bloodstained fingers, she noticed a sign beside the door. She had to wipe away her tears before she could make out 'Take your shoes off'.
Struggling, she kicked her shoes off whilst trying not to disturb Dapple too much.
"Please be in professor please be in please be in!!" She murmured to herself desperately.

"Thank you. I know it sounds rather melodramatic, but she was carrying a letter from my parents, which informed me that they were being attacked by Dark wizards, and were on the run. I think Dapple must have got caught in crossfire, so to speak..."
She gave him a quick one-armed hug, just so's he knew how much his help meant to her, and sat down outside the cottage.
