Potions Final Hecate sat at her desk writing on parchment. On each of the tables was a bag. On top of the bags was parchment with the following instructions. Quote:

Kurumi entered the classroom not really knowing what to expect, but found herself smiling when she saw that all there was were some bags and instructions for what to do. "A scavenger hunt," she chirped in a low whisper. "This should be interesting." Kurumi picked up her bag and nodded to Professor Lafay before exiting the room. |
Cameron walked inside the Potions Laboratory, saddened he couldn't do any Potions this year, but was still decently educated in the subject. He eyed the professor, never meeting her of course and nodded. Quickly, he went to one seat and then picked up a bag and a parchment. Ooooh. Finding stuff. He was awesome at this. And he walked right out of the class with a thumbs up to the professor. Woot. |
Sierra edged into the Potions classroom, expecting to see quills and parchment lining the desks. Maybe even cauldrons and ingredients, too! Final exams usually made her a little nervous, but she felt pretty good about this one. She hadn't had much trouble in Potions class this term. Actually, she thought she'd done pretty well for a first year. She paused by the professor's desk and gave her Head of House a little smile before moving on. She'd have said hello, but Lafay looked pretty busy. Her eyes followed Kurumi Hollingberry as the Gryffindor girl headed out the room. Suddenly, Sierra's competitive nature took over. She hurried over to a table, picked up a set of instructions, and read the page. She knew what most of the items were, so all that was left now was to actually find them. Making a quick grab for a bag, she headed out the door. Let the games begin! |
Hecate looked up and then back down at her parchment. Good they were going. Maybe she could read her magazine in peace. |
NO! As soon as he read the parchment he was...kind of disappointed. He didn't want a Scavenger Hunt for Potions. This sounded like...Magnus was behind it. Still, the boy shrugged his shoulders at Lafay and then...almost begged her for some more Potions, but...wait...the 'some more Potions' part could be easily arranged with Sierra, no? Maybe. Probably. He sighed and left the place. Bag in hand, parchment safely put away. |
Some time later (she'd lost all count of time), Sierra Greingoth gently pushed open the doors to the classroom and headed back inside. Her eyes scanned the room, searching for a place to put the bag she'd filled with ingredients. It should probably go somewhere specific--after all, there were certain items in there that probably shouldn't stay in there for long. Not really wanting to interrupt the professor, but really seeing no other way around it, she approached Lafay. "Professor Lafay," she said, "where would you like our bags once we're done?" Or better yet, where should she put certain items that were inside that probably shouldn't stay inside a bag for long. |
Emily entered the dungeons, again for perhaps the last time?.... it was sad. But it was time for finals! this was where she could prove her worth. Upon entering she greeted Professor Lafay, though she tried not to disturb her from her magazine too much. "Hi Professor", she said coming in and reading the instructions. She then took one of the assignment bag things... after placing it in her own bag, she left the dungeon. Scavenger hunt aye... this should be fun. |

Jacob walked into the Classroom, ready for his final. But people were leaving... Was he Late?! Did He miss it?! Jacob walked over to a desk and saw the instructions on the parchment with the bag... Oh. Nevermind. This was gonna be a peice of cake... Wait... No Not Cake! Never Cake! Jacob Grabbed the stuff and walked out of the dungeons to find his first one. Easy. |
Patroclus was still reeling over the fact that this year, the Finals would just be finals. No O.W.L.S.............it was still hard to get over! However the Prefect was going to treat it like they were, he had studied so hard, he wouldn't let himself down now! But what was this, people walking away from the class room? Everything made sense once he looked at the instructions on the board and the bag on his desk; it was a Potions Hunt! If Patroclus and Jacob's Hunt for the Prefect Bathroom was anything to go by, this was going to take a while, "Wish me Luck Professor Lafay!" He smiled as he turned to head out of the classroom! |
To be honest a search for specific potions items, or a scavenger hunt as he heard Kurumi call it, was the last thing he expected when he stepped into the dungeons for the Potions final. This shall be intriguing to say the least if not time consuming, he mused to himself, taking a bag and reading through the instructions. The castle and grounds werent exactly small and not filled with plenty of places to hide stuff once you figured out the clue meanings. Once he was satisfied, he left on fulfill the task the best he could. |
Selina walked into Potions. She was in a panic, Potions was always Selina's most difficult subject. What what their final be? All weekend she had studied in anticipation. Upon walking in the room Selina read the directions. Like the others she picked up her bag and went on the hunt... this she could do. |
Helena walked into the Potions classroom, her feet slightly trembling. She was nervous. Reaaaally nervous. She glanced around the room, then at professor Lafay. "Hello, professor." The girl read the instructions and her eyes went wide. What was this? Definitely not going to be fun. She took a bag and followed the others outside. She'll have a lot to walk. |
Jacob walked back into the classroom after the long, tireing hunt. Jacob needed a nap before his next final... and OWLs were coming up. Oh Joy! Jacob walked right up to the Potions Mistress' desk and handed over his bag. "I'll see you next term, professor" he said with a large accomplished smile... He aced that Final exam... he just kicked it's butt. Oh yes, just cause Jacob chose a diffrent career path doesn't mean he's not going to try in the important studies, he'd just drop the not so important stuff |
He was done! And he was happy about it! Dancing into the room, Patroclus shimmied this way, and swung his hips that way! And jus generally partied on down! With the bag clenched firmly in his hand, he moonwalked his way over to Lafay, "There you are Professor!" he smiled placing it on her desk, "Thanks for another great term!" It was true, he really loved potions! |
Aaaaand she did it! She found everything from the list! Helena walked back to the Potions classroom, almost dragging the bag after her. She handed over the bag and smiled at professor Lafay, not sure if that was the right thing to do. "Have a nice summer," she said. Wow. It was over. For this year, of course. |
Helen walked in and saw the bag - she picked it up and then walked out excitedly Let the games begin! |
Cass entered the classroom and looked around. She had seen on the notice board that it was the Potions final today..but there weren't a lot of people around... Then she saw a bunch of bags on the table with Professor Lafay. She walked over to the table and said "Good day Professor." Then she glanced at the instructions and the list. Oh, a scavenger hunt. Whoopee. The she took one of the bags and sighed. Oh well. Let's get this over with. |
Freya walked into the Potion Classroom and found its almost empty. 'Where were the students?' she thought. She was in the right classroom, right? She saw Professor Lafay was sitting at her desk writing something so she definitely in the right class. "Hello Professor." she greeted her potion Professor. When she was about to ask Lafay about the lack of students in the classroom, she turned her gaze towards the nearest table and saw a bag on top of it there was parchment with the instructions. "Oh Scavenger hunt! This should be fun" she smirked. She grabbed the bag and made her way towards the door. Let's the game begin! |
Oooh....potions final. And it was a scavanger hunt. Now that was pretty cool, and Finn was kind of glad that it wasn't something they had to brew because he would've been pretty bad at doing that seeing as he wasn't the best at brewing potions. But this looked pretty cool, and so Finlay picked up one of the bags, nodded at Professor Lafay, and then left the potions classroom. |
Emily re-entered the Potions classroom... her bag laden with items from the hunt. She was confident she had found all of them. "All done Professor", she said somewhat out of breath, placing the bag gently on her desk. Unsure of what to do next, Emily decided final goodbyes might be appropriate. "I just wanted to say thank you for all your help, guidance and advice this term, you have been inspirational to say the least. I really appreciate all the support you have given me, all the best for next term." It was a sad time for Emily, Hogwarts had become her home... all her friends were here... she loved the classes and the Professors... but now she was about to embark on a new journey... and she was still determined to achieve and succeed. |
Jake was so annoyed about the loss of OWLs and NEWTs... he was all set to go on the hunt for Borr and kick him in the shins. UGH. But before then, he had to do REALLY well on his finals so he could owl his uni and let them know he was capable, yada yada yada. One girl was saying Lafay had been a great support in the school which made Jake raise an eyebrow, other people were walking past him to leave, and some people were entering with bags... was he supposed to bring something? ARGH. But no... Jake caught sight of a bag and parchment and instantly headed to it, picking up the parchment and readying the instructions. Oh joy... that would probably mean going outside... the prospect of which made Jake's lower lip wibble. For a moment. And then he was off looking for ingredients. |
Emily entered the classroom somewhat nervously. If she didn't know what to expect in other lessons, she'd really not expect what Lafey would have in store for them. "Hello Professor" she said and gave her a nervous smile. Reading the instructions her face lit up. A scavenger hunt! Now this sounded good! She took a bag and followed other people out of the room. She was in for a lot of walking! |
That last one still had Jake smiling. He re-entered the dungeon having removed his sunglasses again, and all that. Going to a table, Jake re-checked he had everything and made sure his list was right. The young man was slightly unsure, but there wasn't much else he could do about it. Feh. With a happy smile, Jake went over to Lafay and handed her the bag. Good mood for now. Maybe the sun DID make you happy... |
Trixie was clearly not impressed. Last year. Last opportunity to get the grades she wanted. AND THE RUDDY NEWTS WERE CANCELLED! The Slytherin, with a massive frown on her face walked into the Potions room and read the instructions for the final as quickly as possible, just so she could get this over and done with and not continue thinking about leaving school with no high qualifications and looking like a complete and utter dunce. *POUT* The Head Girl was glad to see that the final involved them getting out of the classroom. Good. She didn't have to speak to anyone. The seventeen Right. Better get something done then hadn't she? |
Luin walked into the Potions classroom and picked up one of the bags that were sitting there. She then took a sheet that explained what they needed to get for this scavenger hunt. She nodded to herself, and then looked over at Lafay, "Hello, professor." she then headed out to start looking. |
Kita entered the classroom only to find... people were leaving? What? Confused, she walked towards the Professor's desk, looking around as she did so. And then she noticed the bag that had a piece of parchment perched on top it. She frowned and walked towards one of these tables. She picked up the parchment and scanned it. A scavenger hunt? A Potions scavenger hunt? Interesting... A smile spread across the Puff's face as the word 'FINDERS' came into her head. Turning around, she headed towards the door saying, "See you Professor," as she went. |
Hugo skipped in the classroom. A scavenger hunt. Bringeth on! He picked up his bag and left the room. ... And he was done. Now for some food and some relax time in the common room! He proudly turned in his bag. "Here you go, professor." |
Emily re-entered the classroom and presented her bag proudly. "Thanks Professor. Have a good summer." she smiled leaving the classroom again. She'd see it again in a years time though! |
Still a tad upset over not having to take her Potions OWLS. She had studied so hard for that one. She walked into the potions classroom ready to take the final. She was suprised to see a bag and note. She walked to the nearest table that still had a bag. She picked up the paper and read the instructions. The last homework assignment was a wordsearch and now the final exam was a Scavenger hunt! She smiled at Professor Lafay as she left the dungeon to start her potions hunt. |
Kurumi had gotten a bit distracted after completing her scavenger hunt - she had some cookies to check on and a few books to return to the library - so she returned to the potions classroom much later than she had intended. Clutching the bag in her right hand, Kurumi approached Professor Lafay who looked like she did not want to be disturbed. What was it with teachers reading during their final exams? The same had happened in Charms. "Excuse me, Professor Lafay," Kurumi said in a polite whisper. "I've completed my search. Here is my bag." She was rather proud of herself for not stuttering through the entire two sentences. Perhaps, as a third year, she wouldn't stutter at all while in front of the Potions Mistress? She could always hope anyway. |
Marie couldn't believe finals were already here. That meant she was at the end of her 5th year. The year she should be taking her OWLs. The exams she had studied so hard for all term. The very same exams that were now cancelled thanks to some over inflated hot air bag who thinks he's a Lord. Really, what was the ministry thinking putting that man in charge of whatever he's in charge of. Shaking all thoughts of the OWL exams out of her head she walked into the potions classroom ready to brew up something. "Hello Professor." She said as she walked past the woman heading towards her customary table in the back of the room. Plopping onto one of the stools she was ready to get her journal out when she noticed the parchment laying there. Hmm, what was this? A scavenger hunt? Sweet. This final was going to be easier than she ever thought it would be. After reading through the instructions a couple times she grabbed the bag laying there along with her book bag and the parchment. Passing back by Professor Lafay she nodded at her. "Be back in a bit with all this stuff for you." Yeah, she was so gonna blow through this hunt. |
Finals were here, though it wasn't these exams she had been looking forward too. Oh nooo. No, the Owls which she had pretty much died for and became an emotional mess this year...were canceled. Perfect. Just bloody perfect. But, she supposed all that studying would come in handy for THESE finals. Eh. "Good day Professor." she muttered, not really in the mood to do anything but to get this done. What were they doing? And WHERE was everyone? She was pretty sure she wasn't early to the lesson, nor was she late. Spotting Marie, she was juuuust moving over to her friend when she noticed the bag and note nearby. Then again, there was a few on every table soooo...what was up? Hmm, picking up the parchment, her eyes narrowed before raising in surprise. Was Lafay serious? She wanted them to go on a scavenger hunt? Scoffing quietly, she grabbed the bag and adjusted her own school back on her shoulder before turning back towards the door. Well, she supposed this was an easy grade. "Hey, Marie...wait up." And what better way to do a scavenger hunt then with a friend? |
Just as she was about at the door on her way back out Marie seen Evelyn enter the room. Well now, maybe they could go on this hunt thing together. They could get it done even faster with two of them looking for the stuff. And it appeared maybe Ev thought the same thing. Standing in the doorway she waited for Ev to get back over to her. "Where's Destiny? We should have her go with us so we can get this done even faster." How epic it would be to have the She-Snakes hunting around the grounds looking for all this stuff. Even if Destiny didn't find one item on her own she was sure to keep the other two girls entertained along the way. "You think we should wait for her?" |
Vashti walked into the Potions classroom, prepared and ready to take this Potions final. She'd studied and studied and studied... Hang on. Where were all the people taking the final? Surely she wasn't the first one down here, what with the millions of stairs she had to go down from the seventh floor. Hm... Oh! Her questions were immediately answered though when she noticed the parchment and bag on the table in front of her. Picking it up, she quickly skimmed it, a smile spreading across her face. A scanvenger hunt! How fun! Clutching the paper in one hand and grabbing the bag in the other, Vashti grinned and rushed off to start the hunt. |
Quote:
Ohhh where was Destiny? She was pretty sure the girl wasn't sleeping when she left the common room. "I don't know." she shrugged her shoulders, glancing around the room as if she was going to spot the other third of their she-snake group. Huh. "Yea, we should wait. She'll probably be here any minute." It's not like the girl had forgotten about the final and they'll be standing here for a good hour waiting. Hehe. Right? |
Bwaha! Destiny couldn't be any happier that those stupid OWL's were cancelled. Sure, she studied and was quite confident that she would have done fairly well on them, but they were stupid. She didn't know why everyone was upset about them. It made NO sense. But, whatever. They can all be mopey as much as they wanted to be. "Hello, Professor Lafay!" Destiny SMILED at the woman, hoping to rub some of her happiness off onto her. Ehh, probably wouldn't work. Skipping past her, she spotted Marie and Evelyn all the way in the back and..what was THAT!? "What is that!?" THAT! Those bags. Obviously, Destiny was in too good of a mood to read. |
D & e No sooner had Evelyn said Destiny would probably be there any minute and the girl was walking into the room. Perfect! Now the girls could go on this hunt together. They'd have it done so fast Professor Lafay wouldn't ever realize they had left the room. Rolling her eyes at Destiny she could't help but laugh. "What's it look like, it's a piece of parchment." DUH! Maybe it was a good thing OWLs were cancelled. Destiny would never make it through them if she couldn't even identify parchment. It was also a good thing her and Ev were gonna be with her for this scavenger hunt too. The items would probably jump right out in front of the girl and she wouldn't know what they were. |
M & d Speaking of the she-snake...there she was! And she was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too happy. Shifting her weight to her other leg, she smiled slightly as her friend came nearer, asking about...what, the bag and parchment? Well, now her smile HAD to turn into a smirk after Marie spoke. "Yea, Destiny." she said, grabbing another bag and parchment off a table nearby and handing it to her. "Do you need your eyes checked?" Now that they were all here, let the hunt...BEGIN! "So, let's go. I don't want to have to be hunting down this stuff all day." She had other things to doooooo. |
Well DUH! Destiny knew it was a parchment. She just wanted to know what was written on the parchment. Since OWL's were cancelled, she didn't feel like reading so she wanted them, her FRIENDS, to read it to her. But it didn't seem they were going to. Picking up the parchment, her smile faded some as she read it. A scavenger hunt!? Meaning they were going to have to walk around the WHOLE castle looking for this stuff? Pffft. Destiny's second most hated thing..walking. "My eyes are perfectly fine." she mumbled, "The Healer said so herself." Tucking the parchment into the bag, she headed towards the door. "We should go..there first." There meaning outside of the classroom..because she had NO idea what the items were she was looking for. |
D & e Bwahahahaha... Did Destiny need her eyes checked. They could probably get Rae to take her again if needed. Only problem, the girl wasn't here. PFFFFFT! So what the healer said her eyes were alright."Well you know, maybe they have changed since you were there last." If Marie didn't hate that place so much now she would take Destiny herself. As it was though she didn't ever plan on going back there if she didn't have to. Oh how lucky you are little D. "We should go there? And where would THERE be?" Knowing Destiny it would be wherever she could find chocolate... which was NOT on this list so they would NOT be looking or any today. "Come on, let's head out to the grounds and see what we can find." Putting her book bag over her shoulder she left the room not bothering to look and see if the other two were following her. |
M & d Giggle. Well thank Merlin Destiny wasn't freaking out or anything. There was no way Evelyn was going to take her back to the hospital wing. Not for eye problems that weren't even real that is. Hmm, yes, where was there? The grounds? "Why the grounds?" she asked, following Marie out to the corridor. Would Lafay hide some of the stuff on the grounds? What was on the list that would be on the grounds? Then again, it did say she HID stuff, so who knows. Stuff could be on the grounds. |
you two! Hmm.. Nope. Destiny did not need to go back to the Healer. After that trip there, she had been taking extra care of her eyes. She even wore her glasses..once in a while. Except today. She had forgotten them. But, she did have a few carrots at dinner the night before and she washed her eyes out with soap, too! Her eyes were as healthy as..something healthy! And to show Marie just how healthy they were, she rolled them in her direction. Unhealthy eyes couldn't do that, could they? "There! You know..not here, but there." It made PERFECT sense. And see? Marie had the same idea. They were going there and now Evelyn was questioning it. GAH! "Because the grounds are there and there is where we're supposed to go." Yup. Making sure she had all her things, Destiny SKIPPED after her friends, making sure to give another SMILE in Lafay's direction. Cheer up, sourpuss. |
After finishing his little scavenging hunt, Cam went back to the Potions classroom, checking back in his bag to see if... yes they were all there. Hopefully, he'd done a good job on it. He better. The castle was a huuuuuuge place, and all that walking killed his feet. After handing everything, he eyed the professor. "See yaaaaa," he sang, and then walked out of the classroom with a sigh of relief. Good thing the Common Room was near the laboratory. He didn't have to do all that walking again. |
Caroline came back to the Potions classroom. Tired? Yes. In need of a nap? Yes. Done with Potions Final? Yes. She walked up to Professor lafay's desk and put her bag on the desk. "Here's you go, Professor Lafay." She smiled at her head of house. "That was actually a very enjoyable final exam. Thanks" she smiled again and nodded. She really like Professor Lafay and hoped that she would be there next year. She walked out of the Potions classroom with a grin. Now nap time, she was tired, and had so much to do. but this final was over. |
walking in to class just as a few student were reading ther instructions then they just took the bag and left. Mikey grabs his and get on with it |
Cherry SKIPPED into the classroom. "Good morning, prettyprofessormadam." Then the tiny redhead looked at the bagsez and the instructions and BEAAAAMED. So fun. SO FUN!! !!! She picked up one of DAAA bagsez and skipped off. |
One thing that definitely caught his eye and full attention was the students coming out of the classroom. ZOMY. The students were on strike with Lafay! Aw. Of course Cedric did not like the professor that much, what with the devastating fire fiasco in her first term in Hogwarts and her creepy attitude, but the professor's attitude had actually remarkably improved through the course of 2 years or so. She was much, much nicer this term, let alone the fact that her lesson were very informative and interesting. Cedric lingered near the entrance of the classroom before he finally composed himself and entered the classroom, finding the professor... and numerous bags. He read the writings, which must be the instructions, inscribed on the board. HUNT? But he was never that good at hunting! Oh, well. Putting his bag down on where it needed to be put, he read the instructions once more and left the classroom. |
K-Lee came to the class, giving a quick greeting to Professor Lafay. Why were people leaving? Were they finally sick of Lafay? She didn't blame them. Lafay was pretty strict and didn't ever seem to smile, but it seemed pretty odd for them all to jsut leave class. Oh. K-Lee read a note that explained what was happening. That was kind of a bummer. She had sort of been hoping everyone was giving up on potions and that she wouldn't need to. Well anyway, she might as well do the task. Picking up a bag, she set off on her task, memorising the instructions. |
Book bag slung precariously on the edge of her shoulder, Ivory pushed open the door to the Potion's classroom eyes blinking in confusion. Why wasn't everyone sitting down, forehead wrinkled in concentration as they tried to mentally remember all of the magical properties of some leaf or other. Her head cocked slightly as she observed some of her classmates, sidestepping easily out of the doorway as a few people walked away from the room a satchel of sorts in hand. Hmm. Curious now, she approached the tables and extended a slim hand to pick up the instructional parchment. Eyes skimming over the reading, her lips quirked up in a grin. A scavenger hunt. Glancing up towards the front desk, she gave the Professor a smile. Oh yes, this was a brilliant, creative and inventive way for students to get involved with potions. Giving the Professor a small wave, she j-scooped the bag with one crooked finger and made her way out of the dungeons. She had some searching to do after all. |
Walking back in to the room his hair still smoking and a bit sooty " I did figuer out that one of the items was not the fire from the heads masters office" Setting the bag down on her desk,Mikey walks toward the door only to stop and return to the desk.Pulling out a polished hand carved teak potions spoon I looked up in one of the potions book in the library that for cretain potions you can only use Teak ,so I followed all the steps on how to prepare it " setting the spoon on the desk " Thanks I learned alot this year" with a slight nod Mikey heads to his desk to pack up the rest of his things, |

Kita strolled into the classroom, holding her bag as carefully as she could. After all, she couldn't have the items mixing around now could she? She headed over towards the Professor's desk. "Here you go Professor," she said, placing the bag on her desk, "That was fun. Thanks and see you next term!" She flashed a smile at Lafay before turning on her heel and heading out of the door. Maybe a picnic in the grounds was what she needed. The weather was great and the house elves were friendly. Why not? |
Simon reentered the potions classroom some time after he had left, the bag he carried heavier ladden then it had been before in its empty state and he was thankful for the extension charm. "Here you go professor," he replied placing the bag down carefully on the table not wanting to jostle what he had placed inside. The boy having already taken care to place some smaller items in the bigger to make sure nothing was lost. "Thanks for the term," he added before leaving again. |
Spike was grimacing as he entered the potions classroom. Sitting down, answering tedious long winded and generally difficult questions was not his thing. And he had totally assumed that was what he'd be doing. Trying to remember the properties of some ingredient or another and why he should put it in a potion that makes your head hurt just thinking about it. Luckily for the little first year, he'd assumed wrong. Very wrong. His demeanour brightened considerably on reading the parchment. A scavenger hunt? He could certainly do one of those! "Be seeing you in a bit, Professor..." he said, picking up his bag, and heading back towards the door. |
Selina lugged her bag into the room full of all of the items of the list. The task had taken her two hours and a lot of stress, but she was done and glad to be. Potions was not her best class by a long shot. Every time they would brew anything Selina would fail miserably and then her hair would frizz. Red frizzy hair was not the most attractive look in the world. But regardless she had completed the final without a complete mental break down. She put the bag on the desk and went to Lafay. "Here you go, ma'am. Enjoy your summer. And see you next term." Just like that Potions was gone for Selina until next September. The weight had been lifted off her shoulders and she felt great. |
With a relieved sigh, Vashti strolled into the Potions classroom once more, carrying the bag with both hands. She was quite proud of herself for finishing all that and running around the castle without collapsing once. After this, she was definitely taking a well-deserved nap. She set the bag down gently on the desk. "Here you go, Professor," she said with a smile. "Have a great summer and see you next term." With that, she left. One final down and many more to go. |
Re-entering the classroom, Spike rummaged through his bag to check everything was still there and matched up to his list. He'd worked hard on that hunt - who knew the caslte and grounds were quite that big. Satisfied, Spike took the bag and put it up on the Professor's desk. "I think everything's there, Professor Lafay," he said softly, wanting to be polite, but equally not wanting to disturb her reading in case that was rude. "Have a good summer!" |
Rex picked up his bag and left to find all the hidden potion ingredients all around the grounds and castle. |

"Um Professor, I was just thinking.... I'll be applying for jobs at the ministry soon, and I was wondering if perhaps you could write me a reference?" she asked. Mmm yes references would help quite a bit. Especially from a Potions Mistress. ooc: applying my charrie for MoM :D |
Luin came back into the classroom carrying her bag full of the items they needed to get. She handed it off to the professor, proud of her work and glad to finally be done with it as well. She smiled and said, "Here are all of the items, professor lafay. Thank you for class this quarter." she then headed on her way out, with a bit of a spring in her step. She was happy this term had been pretty good. |

"I'm looking at applying for Magical Law Enforcement", she said cheerfully. Yes she was eager to prove her worth as an Auror, even if she would have to climb the ranks to get there. She would do whatever it took. |

...after all, they still had the end-of-term feast to attend, added to the fact that Lafay was Sierra's Head of House. Surely it wouldn't be next school year before she saw her again. |

*sigh* |
Nika ran in and picked up a bag. Hmm a scavenger hunt? Nika ran out as quickly as she could so that she could finish it and bring her stuff back in time. |
Quote:
"Thank you Professor, I really appreciate it", she said taking the envelope. And with that.. she exited the potions classroom.. for the last time. Sadness. |
Nika ran into the room. She almost tripped over her own foot, but it's a good thing she didn't. Who knows what lafay might have done if Nika tripped and broke something. She took out her bag and walked over to her professor. She was out of breath and tired. That scavenger hunt was loooong. "Done." Breathe. "Thank you..." Breathe. "I had..." Breathe. "A great..." Breathe. "Time in potions..." Breathe. "This term..." Breathe. "It was fun." There were other words to describe it, but fun was one of the last words the way Nika saw it. |
After 48 million years, Cedric was finally back! Well, kidding aside, he had finished the finals in approximately two hours or more. Not bad, yes? Wearing his broadest smile and twinkling eyes, Cedric entered. "Excellent class, Professor!" Cedric said, upon placing the bag on the professor's desk. And he retrieved his original bag, all ready to go and leave. "See you--" he was not coming back next term, obviously. "...sooner." Sooner. Hehe. |

Why did that sound like a threat? "Good luck, Prefect Leone. In all your endeavors." She said taking his bag. |
Kyle grabbed the bag, and left to go and find all the items on the list. She hoped she would do well. |
A very grinning Lockhart entered the Dungeons again, and he was still grinning when he got to the room where Lafay was. "Professor!" he exclaimed, bag in hand, there was also a parchment around there somewhere, "That was AMAZING!" and he was being loud, and excitable, totally annoying, that's for sure. "Thank you for a marvelous year! So full of knowledge and incredible stuff!" had the boy eaten one of the things listed in the parchment? Either way, he left his bag on her desk, which was what everyone else was doing, no? "I will see you at the feast, Professor Lafay." And then he started to walk away. Waving at the woman, with a smile on his face. He'll go grab something to eat now. |

He was running late, as usual. Apparently the end of the year was swallowing him whole, and he couldn't really say he liked it. So it was with as much discretion as he could manage that he slipped into the Potions classroom. From the looks and sounds of things, there were many students who were already done the assignment, and here he was, just starting. Not even. A quick read of the board had him groaning internally. He definitely should have brought a bottle of water or something. From the looks of things, he was going to be exhausted by the end of it. Without giving himself a chance to delay he picked up the required bag, scribbled down the instructions and was back out of the room and heading for the front gates. May as well start at the beginning and work his way back down to the dungeons. |
Hannah pick up the bag then left and look around the castle |
Kyle walked into the potions classroom not much later, a heavy ladden bag on her arm. She placed it on the table and smiled. "Thanks for a wonderful year Professor Lafay" She smiled. Waving and walking off. |
It was a few hours later by the time he made it back into the potions room. A few hours later, a lot of breath gone, and a good deal of fatigue and injury that would make some lovely stories if he ever got the breath back to tell them. His head still killed from smacking it off the faucet, and both his hands had a good deal of blood on them; the right from the hitch-hiker leech and the left bearing a gouge from the wonderful run in with the owls. All in all, it had been great, adventurous fun, but he couldn't say he wanted to do it again. Slipping back into the room, Sabel made his way over to Lafay, doing his best to tie up the bag without soiling it before handing it over. "A goodie bag of trouble." He gave the woman a small smile. "Thank you, Professor...for this year." The last thing he wanted to do was start to say his goodbyes, though it was strange how Lafay was suddenly on the list of people he felt the need to say goodbye to. Last year, it would have been a consideration that never would have crossed his mind. Seeing as how he couldn't really shake her hand with the conditions his own were in, he gave her a respectful nod. Hopefully it was enough. Hopefully, he would run across her path again. |
Chloe entered the potions classroom a bit worried for her exam. As soon as she arrived in th# room she saw the board of instructions. Upon reading it her nerves were instantly calmed. In fact she felt rather excited. A scavenger hunt sounded awesome. She wrote down the riddles on a piece of parchment and then grabbed a bag. She was off. |

ooc: As some of you are still searching the grounds and I'm sure you wish to post in this thread returning your items, I'll keep this thread open until 11:59pm EST April 1, 2011. (15 and a half hours from now) |
FINALLY! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! She beat Evelyn and Destiny back. Out of breath and feeling all sweaty from all the running she did Marie returned to the classroom with her bag of items... one extra item included. She had really thought for sure that the She-Snakes would have finished sooner than they did. After all there was three of them looking for the items. That wasn't the case though. Working together only seemed to slow them down. Oh well, at least they got it done and were now back in the classroom... before the deadline. Going over to a table she pulled out her parchment and looked it over one last time. She then looked through her bag making sure she had everything she needed. YES! All ten... well eleven items were still in there. After writing her name on the parchment she put it back in the bag then took it over to the professor. "I must say Professor, this was an interesting final. Thanks for letting us have some fun with it." She then placed her bag of goodies on the professors desk and whispered... "If Destiny asks to keep her bag, please tell her no." Marie so did not want that girl having a bag that never got heavy. A bag that she could fill with endless amounts of cocolate. |
What in the world!? Frowning as she came in just after Marie, Evelyn breathed out a long breath to ease her slow growing irritation before scoffing quietly. Right. She let Marie win. That was going to be her story. Totally. However, the relief that they were finally finished was so much better than to feel irritated. They were done! With it all! For this year that is, but still…they were done! And no emotional or physical scars either. Well no, Destiny might be emotionally scarred for life after seeing the chocolate being burned but…this was a happy moment. Following me, the Slytherin girl glanced behind to see where Destiny was before placing her bag on the table as well, and pulling out her rather wrinkled and…torn at the edge…parchment with the list on it. Eh, well, you could still read the words at least. Yush, everything was there. Including her name, and all that jazz. Interesting final? INTERESTING!? Yea she supposed it was interesting. Right after Marie handed her bag to the Professor, Evelyn handed over hers as well, a nice little smile on her face. "Right. Interesting final." |
finally!! Destiny was WINNING! Of course she heard Evelyn yell about a race and since she had left before her friend, she was in the lead. And that was up until she had run face first into that tree that just popped out of nowhere. She probably should have worn her glasses..she might have seen it before she hit it. But, despite the fact that her face was probably going to bruise, she continued to run through the grounds and castle until she reached the classroom. It was amazing that she was not out of breath, but that could have been from all the chocolate she had consumed. It wasn't bothering her. Sprinting into the classroom, not caring that Marie and Evelyn had beaten her, she placed her bag on Lafay's desk. "PROFESSOR LAFAY! CANIKEEPTHISBAG, PLEASE!?" And she was still yelling.. |

"No." she said taking the bag from the girl, and with a whisper she added, "take one of the empty ones instead." ... She had still told her No... |

She had found all the items. She wuz GUNNA RUUULE!!!! "Here you goooo professormadam." She BEAMED at dragonprofessorprettymadamperson and pointed at her BIG BAG. |

Destiny felt like she was waiting for an answer for hours. The suspense of knowing if she could have that bag or not was practically KILLING her and she felt like she was going to drop DEAD at any moment. And that feeling had nothing to do with the fact that she had, not even five minutes ago, run right into a tree. Really, she should wear her glasses more often. And if she had that bag, she'd be able to put them inside. Yes, she would never forget them again! She could put hundreds of pairs inside! She could.. Train of thought lost when the Professor DID finally answer, a frown crossed her face and she was just about to shoot Marie with a VERY evil glare when she heard those whispered words. The BEST whispered words Destiny Shepard has ever heard. SHE COULD HAVE A BAG! BEAMING, Destiny thought about hugging the woman, but decided against it. There would be time for that later. "THANKYOUPROFESSORLAFAY!" she yelled, skipping her way over to a desk that still had a bag on it. Picking it up, she didn't even bother to say goodbye to anyone and waving it wildly over her head, she RAN out of the classroom. She was going to put her cat in it. |

Professor Lafay told Destiny she couldn't have a bag. Now the girl wouldn't be able... WHAT?! WHY was Destiny taking a bag off that desk? She had just been told NO, that she couldn't have a bag. But... but Lafay seemed to be letting her out of the class with it. Turning back to Lafay she just stared at the woman for a minute before opening her mouth and letting the words fly out. " Professor, do you KNOW what you've done by letting her have one of those bags?" Like really know. "She plans on filling it with ENDLESS supplies of chocolate. And do you KNOW what chocolate does to her? HMMM?" Oh their lives were going to be a living hell if Destiny succeeded in filling that bag with chocolate. There was only one thing to do now. Steal the bag from her and get rid of it. Grabbing Ev by the arm she started to pull her towards the door. "Come on Ev, we gotta stop her before she does something stupid. We gotta get that bag from her." And she thought she was done hunting for today. Now they had to hunt a chocolate crazed Destiny down. Just Great. |
Great. Now that the bag was off her hands, all she had to do was go back to the kitchens to get her actual school bag, and then she could do whatever! Like trying to find a way to keep Destiny quiet. Good Merlin, what was she doing anyway? Raising a brow, Evelyn watched her skip her way to a desk and...O_O! No. Oh no. Oh no no no. This was bad. This was very bad. This was really really bad! Give Destiny a bag charmed with an undetectable extension charm and who knows WHAT she'll do! She'll probably fill it ALL with chocolate, or...try to stuff herself in it... What if she got stuck? What if she couldn't BREATHE!? OMG... she herself needed to breathe. Nodding frantically at what Marie was saying so Lafay would KNOW how SERIOUS this situation was...she didn't need to be told twice that they had to stop Destiny. She was already bolting out the door after the girl. And...she may or may not have said something about a goodbye to Professor Lafay. It could have been her slipping and tripping trying to turn the corner down the corridor... |

Well the Final was over, and Hecate took all the bags with her to grade. She exited the classroom and locked the door. |
