Satine walked up the stairs to the Observatory. This was a place she had missed while studying abroad last term. None of the other schools had an Observatory or even taught the importance of Astronomy. She attributed that to the fact that none of the schools had Centaurs in their backyard like Hogwarts did.

She wasn't an expert or even rather very good at Astronomy. It was one of her weakest subjects, but she just loved the stars. She loved coming up here and gazing out into the great unknown and wondering what was out there and what amazing secrets the sky held. Plus there was one cluster of stars that was a blue-ish purple that she just loved to gaze at through the telescope. And not to mention that you could see everything within a fifty mile radius of the castle from up here. It was just peaceful and perfect.

If she ever found a boy that had a real interest in her...you know a real one...she would love to bring him up here and share her first kiss with him...but she knew that was just a dream and would never happen.

She found a spot on the Northern edge of the Observatory and reached in her bag pulling out a purple and pink blanket and laid it on the floor. Then she reached in her bag and pulled out a notebook and her fave rainbow quill. She laid down on the blanket gazing up at the stars with her notebook in hand.

JP had his wand out and was making his navy and yellow blanket float beside hit along with his stuff. "Well i can do magic so why not take advantage" JP said to himself. He saw another ravenclaw sitting by herself. "It would be rude not to say hello. Especially since she is in my house"
JP walked over to introduce himself. "Hello there. I'm JP. Mind if i sit with you?"

Satine glance up as she heard footsteps approaching her and saw a young boy headed her way with a blanket floating behind him....she was impressed because most boys his age couldn't do that type of magic yet. She could tell he was a Ravvie from his robes and she smiled at him.

"Howzit, JP! I'm Satine Farris, Sixth Year, Ravvie...well I guess you can see that." she said glancing down at her robes. "O no I don't mind you sitting down with me." she said scooting the edge of her blanket back trying to make room for his beside hers. "So what brings you to the observatory?" she asked as she sat up and starting gazing out into the openness.

Noticing that she looked at him floating his blanket behind him he smiled at her. "I am sure you could do that before you could walk. After us Ravies are supposed to be bright right?" He hoped that didn't make him sound ignorant. He sat down beside her. " well, i like to come up here and relax after classes. So much studying. Looking up at the sky and the stars makes me forget about everything. It's nice" He was looking up at the stars as he spoke. Poked through his bag and pulled out a couple pumpkin pasties and offered Santine one. "What about you?"

She realized that she must've been giving away her thoughts through her face and smiled her famous sparkling smile...and thought back..."Well, you do have a point, I was pretty good at the basics when I arrived at Hogwarts..."


She listened to him beside him, "Well, yes tons of studying already." she said nodding her head just half way listening almost getting lost in the view..."I have to agree this is one of my fave places...well I have a lot of them, but this one is at the top of the list. " she said pushing a stray purple strand of hair behind her right ear as she turned towards his offer to see what he was offering.

"O, no thank you. I'm allergic to pumpkin pasties" she said as she grabbed her bag and pulled out a licorice wand. "Now these I could eat my weight in...you?" she said as her way of offering one to him.

JP noticed to Purple hair. "That is a pretty awesome choice for hair color!" JP put his pasties away. and a big smile came across his face. He quickly looked up at the stars to try and contain his excitement. Licorice wands were his favorite and he ran out this afternoon. "Those are my favorite! I agree with you. I could eat there for days! So," Being slightly distracted by he amazing smile "you said you were a sixth year right? One more year and you're done. Are you excited??"

She turned and looked at him when she mentioned her hair to make sure he was being serious and not sarcastic, "O thanks, I'm a meta and my hair and eyes change...I can change them to whatever color I want, but sometimes if I get too emotional they change slightly...kind of like a mood ring or something..." she said with a pleasant face and finished with a little nod up and down.

"O yes licorice wands are delish...just amazing...well if you ever run out just hunt me down because I come prepared. Almost a fourth of my trunk is licorice wands and that might get me to our first Hogsmeade visit in a few weeks." she said with a little giggle...and sadly that wasn't an exaggeration...they were more like addiction sometimes.

She glanced back out hoping to find a shooting star, she def needed one lately, "huh...o yah..I'm a sixth year...." she said and then paused at his next question. "Wow, no one's asked me that and I hadn't even thought about it honestly....so I guess I don't really know an answer..." she stopped and thought that through....wow only a year left...she had a lot of goals to get accomplished in only a year and then some...scary thought..."I think its better to say I still have two years left...that way I don't have to think about it and since we still have a the rest of this term to finish out...yes that sounds like a plan..." she said the last more to herself than to him.

"Well, so tell me three interesting facts about you?" she asked as she took a bit of an orange licorice wand.

Hmmm, turning another Ellie in to save her but. Brilliant! Wait a minute... "Woah there, Mr. Gryffindor. Aren't you supposed to be the nice guy? The hero and the friend? You've got a few snake traits in you, kind sir." She said with a sarcastically skeptical look on her face. Sarcastically skeptical? Yeah...

Ellie laughed. He was smarter than she thought. Not that she thought he was dumb either... "Well, I appreciate your compliment, book-carrier or not." She said with a smile.

Ellie blinked. And everything suddenly got a little darker. Whaa?! Now was she getting blind?! Oh, wait. She looked at her watch. Time flies, huh?"Oh. I guess... I'd better go. It's getting kinda late." She said, pursing her lips.

"That's amazing! I am jealous. I spoke to my father and told him i wanted to become an Animagus but he said i was too you and to see how i was doing by my fourth year and he would think about it. By that time i'll be able to do it myself. But i guess i will wait." Jp realizing she was looking up looked up too. He thought it was funny to meet someone that was as addicted to Licorice wands as he was. "My mom sends me some everyday with the post but it doesnt really last long. I do love them though and i might take you up on that offer sometime!" JP smiled at her. You're right, i guess if you say it like that it makes it seem like you will have longer here. I don't know if i'd want to leave. But i still have a while to think about that.
Now realizing that the asked him another question he looked at his sheet and began to eat a licorice wand. 3 Interesting facts? He didn't think he could think of anything. He didn't think of himself as interesting at all. but he thought up somethings anyway. uhh, well. My patronus takes on the form of a quetzal. It's basically a little bird with a long tail. Think of it as a smaller sized phoenix thats green. um, Ancient Runes is my favorite subject and i wanna be a curse Breaker somewhere in egypt someday. umm, I studied abroad in cairo last term and cause of that i am still only a second year. I'm supposed to be a third year. And just for fun here's another fact. I was born in the wizarding world and my "muggle" cousin teaches me about the muggle world. But the story of my cousin can be saved for another day. It's rather long. After finishing Jp realized he spoke for a long time. Hopefully she doesn't think i'm a creep now, he thought to himself. How about you? Tell me some interesting things about you."

"O it's nothing to be jealous of....it was kind of embarrassing until I learned how to control it which made it hard for my rents to explain to my muggle teachers for a while why I would have yellow hair one day and white the next or bright pink..." she paused and thought of a funny memory..."but i did make our Christmas cards colorful each year....but now I can control it most times unless I get too nervous or embarrassed and then a little bit of color sneaks it's way in..."...this brought back her the events of last week when her eyes had seeped in pink when she was around Dallin...or even when Jimmy whom flirted with everyone talked to her...she shook her head to get those thoughts out of her mind. "O an animagus...I think that would be cool...but it is a little while until then..I think I've changed my mind on what I wanna be like six million times..."

She smiled at him when he talked about his addiction to licorice..."Well it's nice to meet a partner in crime...now I know where I can come steal some from if I get really desperate as well..." she said with a friendly wink. "Well I am not really ready to leave yet...I love it here...I did a study abroad program last term and it made me really appreciate Hogwarts! We are very lucky!"

Satine listened to each of his interesting facts...did he say a quetsie what?...she had never heard of an animal like that and made a mental note to go check it out in the library when she got a chance...it sounded like an interesting species..she shook her head as he went on to the next fact..

"Wow in Cairo that's exciting. I didn't get to visit that school when I was in the Wizarding World Program. I had to choose six schools and I spent six weeks at each one, but I didn't make it to Cairo. I bet that was beautimous!"...."one of my good friends"....who will remain nameless...."likes Ancient Runes as well...I think ya'll may be the only ones that choose it as your fave subject..." she said with a little giggle. She listened to his last fact and shook her head again letting him know she was following him.

Did he just ask me a question....wow...that didn't happen very often...most of the time she asked someone else about three facts and they would go on and on and on about themselves and never ask her...she had to think for a few seconds for an answer as she chewed on her candy.

"Three things...three things..." she took another bite..."Well, I'm was born in Texas near San Antonio and lived there with my mom, who's a witch, and my dad, who's a muggle, until I started here when I was eleven and then we moved to England so they could be closer to me." yes that was a good one..."Ummmm....Im afraid of penguins..." she said making a squished up face...o just don't ask..."And I have the most amazing pet..." she reached towards her bag and unlatched it then she softly tapped the side of the bag and said, "Gemma, I have a friend you need to meet." within in seconds a furry purple chinchilla crawled out of the bag stretching as soon as it was clear of the bag. It looked up at Satine and then over at her new friend and wiggled it's nose smelling the air.

"You're lucky, then." she added smiling. Witsy moved over a little that way he could see everything she was as much as possible. She took a deep breath starring out through the ceiling. "I was here alone one day and just thought to lay in the center and it was really cool. I can't look through the telescoped too long because I get dizzy so this way I don't have to stop looking, you know?" She listened to PJ as he spoke. His voice and tone was very relaxful and comforting, she wanted him to keep talking, but I guess he's allowed to breath every once in a while, she thought jokingly. "Wow, you're right. I was too worried about my cat and getting her to sleep for a while I never thought to try some for myself, I'll definitely try that tonight. I'm pretty sure the library's closed," not even considering the effects of leaving her corridor, but rather more worried about just falling asleep.

"I found O'Rien's belt, right there, you see," she said. She took out her wand and tried highlighting to see if he saw.

"Oh that's brilliant, you're trying out too, what position are looking into?" very curious to what he has to say. "I'm glad that I'm not the only one worried, " she replied, "Not that I'm glad you're worrying, but..." she didn't know the words to say but she was hoping he knew what she meant. "As far as Adam, I think he'll be fine...eventually. It's just really hard until that point, you know. I guess at this point there's no use to worrying, " she came to that conclusion, although wasn't easy as she was clammy and having rushes of nervousness.

"I bet your parent's loved the color though! I have decided that i wanna be a hawk. I think it would be pretty cool." Now amazed at how much she traveled he looked over to her. "That is awesome! i am sure that you probably made a lot of friends and learned stuff that we won't learn here!" JP was slightly jealous. Yeah, cairo was fun but an adventure around the would would be epic. "I LOVE that class. I am not sure why. But i find it amazing. The professor is pretty cool too. He is quite interesting as well if you ever get the chance to speak to him". Now enjoying his wand. "Most certainly. Find me and if i still have some i will share with you. My mom sends me random foreign ones too. My dad mails them from where he works it's nice. I'll save you one next time. " Even more amazed at his new friend JP looked over to her. "You lived in the muggle world?! That is awesome! Do you like it here or there better?!" JP had lived here all his life. He didn't know much of the muggle world. Looking kinda confused about he interesting fear he just shook it off and looked down and the creature that just appeared before him. He smiled. "That is some pet you have there!" JP tried to pet it. "And it's purple too! Must be your favorite color!"




"I have some in my room and i think my mother sent me the ingredients and steps to make it if you'd like it. My mom is pretty good at potions."JP smiled at her as he looked up to the constellation she had just found. "I see it! It's just amazing to think about how big they really are isn't it? The stars are pretty amazing. That's why i think i will stick with Astronomy. But you won't find me in diviniation. No maam, I think that class is quite the waste of time." He looked over now with excitment. "Yes i am trying out! i am excited! hopefully i get the spot! I am going for seeker. How about yourself?" He smiled again to his new friend and patted her shoulder to try and comfort her. He knew she would be fine and that her friend would be too.

Witsy blushed in her slight embarrassment to her problem, but thought it was really incredible that he was wanting to help. "That would be amazing, if you could help me out with the potion." She followed his starring wondrously through the stars. She smiled liking very much that she didn't sound totally geeky when she found the constellation, it's a lost art really no one cares about the stories behind them anymore, she thought. "There's so much history and emotion, romance and anger wrapped in this ginormous cluster of dead stars shining to be remembered." she felt this need that if starts could talk, literally, she would sit there for ever and listen.

She started shaking her head in agreement when she was hearing that divinations was a waste of time. "Hm, I find it to work if you have the but I think there's more important subjects to consider."

She felt a pat on her shoulder and instantly leaned into his. She wasn't expecting to get this close so soon, but she couldn't help herself. She felt as if she known him her entire life. "I'm so happy you're trying out too. I'm going for anything really but if I had to chose I would like to be seeker or chaser. How are you feeling about try-outs?"

JP agree completely and now especially he looked up at the stars and completely admired everything they had to offer. He was happy that she said it cause he was thinking the same and didn't know if it would make his sound weird if he said it."You know, I wish more people thought like that. I know what you mean and the storied behind them are simply incredible. I think it would have been pretty awesome to be around during those times. It was so epic. And don't worry about the potion, it's really fine. Ill meet you somewhere later on if you'd like and ill give you the vial of it i have in my room."
Still looking up at the stars he felt wits lean in. He smiled to himself. He couldn't help but admit that they were growing closer were fast. He didn't mind it at all. It was nice.
"Ah i don't know. I sat in one class and i just felt like everyone that said they saw something or could interpret something was lying just to get a good mark in that class. But who knows i guess maybe they were telling the truth. One class was enough for me though. I was done after that.
JP realized that they had been up there for a while and today was the day of the quidditch trials. He was getting more nervous. "Today is the big day. I am bummed that i can't make it today though. I wish i could make all four days but i am quite busy. The next two days i will be there though. maybe even the third. I will be a little sad if i don't get the spot."

Elle opened the door, which revealed a vast observatory room for Astronomy Class. Speaking of that class, when was it going to begin? She just loved studying the stars, universe, galaxies, supernovas and so much more!

Grabbing a small telescope from the shelf, she went to the most strategic place in the room. Some could only see the moon or the planets due to some circumstances. But Elle was lucky. She looked through it and was amazed at the wonders and discoveries of witch and wizard.

Did he saw a hawk....that was different, "O why a hawk?" she asked quickly.

She shook her head aimlessly up and down, "Well, it was a great experience but different...We are sooooo very lucky to be at Hogwarts...many of the magical schools teach very different and a lot of useless subjects...I know for a fact that I learned more here than I did the whole year everywhere else.." she said staring out into nowhere thinking about the horrid classes she had to go through like Torture 101 and Language Arts, which was not a wizarding class.


Satine smiled, "O yes, I would love to try one. Muggles have things like licorice wands called Twizzelies, or something like that, next time my mom sends me some packages, I'll stockpile one for you. They are really really sweet and extra skinny..." she said grabbing another licorice wand.


She always giggled when peeps got excited about her living in the Muggle world, "Well, it was def different. I like both of them for different reasons. I like the Magical World because eclectic and the peeps are eclectic as well. But sometimes it's nice to be in the Muggle world where you have to do things for yourself and such...plus Muggles are just interesting peeps.." she said not really knowing what kind of answer to give since no one had ever asked her that question before.

She glanced down at Gemma, "O yes she is absolutely amazing and has an amazing talent...watch..." she said as she picked up Gemma....she nuzzled her nose with her own and then Satine said, "Blue Gemma." instantly the Chinchilla turned to a dark shade of blue... "I don't know how she does it, but of course that's why we understand each other...plus she's the perfect accessory to any outfit because she always matches...." she said with a little giggle.

"Well, a hawk just cause when i see them they are so free when you see them you know? and i think it would be fun to fly, don't you? JP started imagining himself doing this now. He started to gaze off.

Now try to imagine all the other classes she could have taken on her trip it started to make his mind race. "Well i am sure you made the most of it. I am sure you learned a little bit. I guess ill be happy that we are actually learning good stuff here at hogwarts. What kinda stuff did you have to take?"

Still talking about his favorite candy JP smiled. This made him happy.
"Alright deal! We can swap. It will be like a licorice party!" JP laughed a little and smiled at the thought of this new thing he could look forward to.

Looking a little confused he didn't know what to say. Ancient Runes hadn't taught him how to decifer the slang from the muggle world. JP just laughed. "Well that's awesome. I am sure you get tempted to used magic over there all the time."

Surprised at the amazing talent her pet could do. "That is soo cool!" JP was simply amazed."I didn't even know animals like that existed. that is quite exciting. I bet you love your pet." Now staring at the pet that will still blue now he wondered how many times it had changed to purple to match her favorite color.

Satine shook her head as he talked...yes he did have a point..."O yes that's true, I love riding a broom so you have a point."

Satine thought for a few seconds and then went on, "Well at Beuxbaton we had to take a lot of manners and finishing classes to prepare you to be young women and men....and they required you to take a class on how to use DADA magic in a nice way...it was a hard class actually." she paused..."At the school in America, we took a lot of muggle based courses as well as our magic courses so that you could blend in more with them when you were out in the Muggle world...so we took Language Arts/English, and Social Studies, and Math, and their science....it was rather interesting to learn exactly why they think the way they do...even my Muggle dad hadn't taught me some of these things...he liked when I was at that school." she paused again..."Then at the African school we mainly learned about how horrible Muggles were and learned a lot of dark magic as well as tribal magic. That six weeks was hard for me...I was an optimistic and spunky girl in a dark school...not a great combination."


Satine smiled at him, "Yes, my mom thinks it's rather odd that Gemma can do it, but since we got her and figured that out we've been inseparable. It was nice to have an animal that seemed to understand what I was going through when I was younger. I often think she's a meta that got trapped in this form." she said as she patted her back, "just because she has this talent and has such a personality and she's live extremely long, so I try to spoil her as much as I can.." she said as she pinched a long piece of licorice wand and set it down for the chinchilla whom immediately starting licking and nibbling on it.

Audrey walked into the tower. She loved looking at the stars. She did it every night at home in America in her old school's Astronomy Tower. She had brought a few books with her. Most were on Care of Magical Creatures, but she had a small astronomy chart somewhere in her never ending pile of books

She lifted her wand trying to see if she could move the stars in a way that could make a a note or something. There's probably some way but she didn't know how, but thought to look into it because that would definitely be extraordinary.

"Thank you so much." she said now I can finally sleep, she thought with a smile.

"Just the thought of having to go to another divinations class makes me want to exhale my left lung just so I have an excuse to leave." she said laughing. She loved when people talked about quidditch, it was such a relaxing thing to converse about despite all the action that goes with it, but she was totally in to that type of thing. "I wish I could go to not just all of mine but to the rest of the houses too!" She was slightly bummed that she could only go to two and they were hers. "I like to watch everyone play, unless it's my team playing then it's just mine." she smiled. "What are you going to do with the rest of your night?" She was curious she wished she could just skip the rest of her semester and just hide up here.

JP was contemplating using Accio to get the potion but didn't know if it would work. "Umm lemme try something really quick. Accio Sleeping Draught" He kept his concentration to see if it would come. Next thing to do was wait.
"While we are waiting to see if i failed at summoning this," JP laughed a little. "Yeah, i have not showed up to her class. I don't plan to either. Hopefully i don't get into trouble. And i left the qudditch try out cause i wasn't doing to hot. But it's fine. I dont mind not being on the team."


"I am excited to finally do the Animagus stuff. It will be great."
JP was very interested in all the stuff that she spoke about. It seemed very
interesting to think about all the things she must have experienced.
"Wow, sounds amazing. I am sure the most exciting was Africa. Sounds like you used the most magic there. I think i would be bored at beauxbaton. Not my kinda scene i don't think."
JP tried to imagine himself in that place. Nah, most definitely not his scene.
Her theory about the animal was pretty logical when you think about it. How much would it such though to be stuck as an animal for the rest of your life though. He couldn't even try and grasp it. "Well, your pet is in the right hand then. Isn't it weird though? Like to think that your pet could actually be a meta. A person that got stuck this way. Very interesting although it would slightly bother me to think about that."

Witsy sat and waited starring out the door to see if the charm worked too, "That would be cool if it works", she was thinking how weird people must think if they see a floating draft flying around.

"I don't think I did that great either but I've been enthusiastic and I went to three so that must count for something," She tried rationalizing.

She sat there listening to the silence. She sat up as to not fall asleep. "Have you any family?" Witsy's been the only child so she likes knowing if people have siblings because she always wished she had some.

Now Alex was nervous. Like seriously nervous. He stood just outside the Observatory and then turned to Ellie slowly.

"I don't have anything to blindfold you with so you'll just have to trust me. Close your eyes." he grinned. She needed to have her eyes closed while he guided her inside the observatory and well, set up the date. Heh.

Ooc: (I'm just going to pretend it's night and no other student is there, yes I am)

Suddenly, they stopped walking and Alex told her to close her eyes. She started grinning. "Alright. I won't peek, I promise." She said. She closed her eyes and waited for Alex to guide her to their destination.

Ellie was nervous. Incredibly. This was their first date! Adrenaline pumped through her veins and butterflies flew madly in her stomach. She bit her lip to keep for smiling so much.

OOC: Teehee, okay.

JP began to answer and something hit his head hard. Rubbing the spot he knew instantly that it must have worked. Still rubbing his head, "Well, Here it is. Hope it helps." He shook it off. He didn't want to look bad in front of her. "Yeah, i am sure the professor will take it easy on you guys. It is an interesting class i guess. Nah, just me. No brothers or sisters. It's ok though. It doesn't bother me. How about yourself?"
