Not that Kurumi really needed to think more about the non-magical world - the other classes had seemed to have been covering that enough as it was - Kurumi found herself almost sprinting to the classroom. Professor Zookara was one of her favorite professors and he had been exceptionally kind to her when she had burst into tears in his office. Entering the classroom, she found her seat front and center. "Good day, Professor Zookara," Kurumi smiled setting all her parchment, quills, notes from last term, and textbook on her desk. |
Lexi made her way to the Muggle Studies classroom in a hurry of sorts. She quite enjoyed Professor Zookara's classes |
Oh dear. Muggle Studies. She LOVED the lesson, it was so interesting and so much fun but she wasn't exactly brilliant at it. The Muggle world was very unfamiliar to the Slytherin, she rarely visited it and she was pretty ignorant to what went on there. But that was't her fault entirely and she didn't like it being that way, it was her families fault mainly. She would love to get out there more, if she had the opportunity to. So Trixie wandered into Muggle studies a little warily, not that she had anything to be worried about. It was the class she thought she'd most likely fail in, although she had full trust in Jeremy, that was for certain. She sent a bright smile at Jer, he was brilliant after all. "Hey..." ergh what did she call him? "ProfessorJeremy" she said pretty quickly. "I've missed your lessons" even though she was rubbish. Her eyes wandered the room before they instantly fell upon her... upon... her Freddie. The seventeen year old shuffled over, grinning at her fellow Snake before eying the seat next to him with a smirk. "I told you I would need your help in this lesson" she plopped herself down beside him before turning her attention to the prof. This was perfect! |
Walking a little bit sleepy Georgiana made her way to Muggle Studies classroom, not her favorite subject but who knows someday it could help her. "Good morning, Professor" she smiled and looked around the room for an empty seat, she sat down next to a window and put her bag beside her. |
Jp was excited to finally learn about the muggles. He looked around for a familiar face to sit with |
Rowan entered the room pausing briefly to great the Professor. "Good day Professor." She saw her friend JP and waved to him, then chose a seat. |
Raven hesitate to enter this classroom, he knows everything in muggle, he raised with them, in fact his mother is one of them. and Raven think he is 'normal' people until he became eleven. Raven glad that Wizard world is studying the muggle mankind. after so many minutes of self battle, he decided to enter the room, he saw the professor seating behind his desk. "Good day Professor" he said while approaching a vacant seat in the back portion of the classroom. |

Sliding into a seat next to Patroclus she put her bag on the ground not bothering to get any materials out just yet. "Hey Patroclus. You aren't expecting |
OOC: I did honestly READ all of your posts, but my brain is just too bleh at the moment to reply to all of them. Sorry. *loves on you all* Jeremy didn't get up from his seat, however, did smile at each of the students who arrived at the classroom. Many familiar faces. Directing his "hellos" at everybody who directed theirs at him, he continued to smile at them all. It made him happy how many students had chosen the subject, again or the first time. Despite Gevrik's assumption that they wouldn't. Trixie's way of addressing him made him grin but he was of course okay with whatever they came up with. As long as it wasn't...offensive or anything, obviously. After the last few students had also finally found their way into his classroom, Jeremy went to close the door before turning back to face the students, a small smile playing around his lips. "I'm really glad to see so many familiar and also new faces in this lesson, meaning all of you are obviously interested in the subject I teach. If not, well, you're probably in the wrong classroom then." He grinned, simply regarding each of them for a moment. After a short pause Jeremy moved around his desk to lean against it while keeping his eyes on the students. "Now, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Jeremy Zookara and I have been teaching Muggle Studies since last term. Also, please say your name first if you're answering a question so I can get to know you." Then letting his eyes flicker towards some of the more familiar faces he added, "Of course, this only counts for those of you who HAVEN'T been in my class last year. I should be able to remember your names...and if I don't, I'll try to pretend I do." Heh. "Now, before I will begin discussing today's topics, I would like to ask you guys something else. I'm sure you have noticed that there is a special...emphasis on Muggles this term, so is there anything you would like to comment on, or ask about?" He was going to be really objective about the whole thing. Or at least he was going to try. "I don't want any heated discussions on this, I'm just offering you a chance to ask any questions you might have on the subject, not on anybody's sides or opinions." OOC: Class has now officially started. No late arrivals. No chatting. Have fun! ^__^ |
Emphasis on muggles this year? So it wasn't always like this? Interesting. Keeping her hand firmly down as she did not have any questions to ask about this subject, Chyler busied herself with preparing her quills, ink and writing the heading for today's Muggle Studies. Ok, done. Looking around, she began to listen to other people's questions. It was kind of interesting, in a way. Plus this class was a complete waste of time for her, so she might as well get as much information as she could out of it. The redhead neatly positioned her quill in the ink well an flicked a loose strand of hair out of her eyes. Muggle Studies, here goes a rather wasted two hours. |
Kurumi put down her quill and sat back in her seat. Did she have any questions? Her head was filled with them at the moment, but she would rather sit and listen to the others discuss things at the moment. The topic of non-magical and wizarding world was a little too sensitive for her at the moment. She had been crying in the Professor's office the other day about her relationship with her mother after all. |
Lexi immediately raised her hand and smiled at the Professor. "Sir, can you tell me if MUGGLE boys have cooties also? I think we KNOW that wizarding boys do... but do muggles have a different kind? Like a NON magical variety of cooties?" she asked with an air of seriousness about her. Zookara KNEW about the magical cooties! HE KNEW!! |
The seventh year raised her hand, taking in knowledge that she had just attended a few lessons years before Professor Jeremy came into Hogwarts to take the Muggle Studies placement. "Hello, I'm Annie, Anna Maria Robles..." She didn't really care how she was called, but it kind of scared her the fact that if called by her last name, she could be in trouble or worse. "And about this emphasis on Muggles this year, I'd just like to say that, it's interesting, that well...without them knowing, we could help them a lot in their everyday lives, despite their many and weird technological advances, as they call them...but what about the Statute of Secrecy, and the long way of history we've known all of our lives to not interfere with the Muggles' lives, even though all this could happen anytime soon?" Yes, she was kind of confused, it was not a mess, but it was interesting to ask how could all that happen. |

She raised her hand. "Professor? Are muggles... in danger? Or something like that. I'm sure everyone noticed that we talk about muggles in every class," even Potions, "and we wouldn't talk about them if everything was okay. Or would we?" Anything else? Oh. "And my name is Helena Hopkins," she added, then let her hand fall back on her knees. |

Ba-ZING. "Pointless statement. But like I say... I hope we do stay away from the statute." Kids in this school had a knack for... heatedness. "I guess I do have a question though. Is the statute going to change? Does it look that way?" Jake hoped NOT. He also wondered if/when Gevrik would show his face today... |
Raven heard the obvious reason of all the matter happening in the Hogwarts in his first term, emphasizing in muggle, well, maybe he is thankful, because either way he is from muggle world. |
Arya turned her smile to Sabel when he slid into the seat next to her, a bit surprised that he was here since he didn't really attend these lessons often, but still glad he did. There wasn't much time to chat though, as the professor began the lesson. Turning her attention to the tall man in front, she eased back in her seat, visibly relaxed, and half-listened to the brief introduction. When he moved on to what had been talked about in the other lessons, a faint frown crossed her face. Faint only because he'd said they would only touch this topic before moving onto the real lesson. She'd already commented more than she wanted to, and didn't care to comment now, so she wouldn't. Or she'd try not to. The young girl simply twirled her quill lazily, hoping this part of the class would fly by. She was curious as to the professor's views of all this though. |
Anything she wanted to ask about? Oh she had TONS she could ask about. Starting with this ONE question. The Head Girl shot a sideways glance at the guy sat next to her, seeing as he wouldn't answer this, she'd ask Jeremy then. Her hand raised into the air before asking the question that had been bothering here for a while. "What is the meaning of this.. Sea World" she pronounced the word incredibly clearly as a a confused expression fell to the blondes face. It sounded like, another planet. Gosh that would be exciting wouldn't it? Her hand lowered as she finished the question, smiling at the Professor first before turning to Freddie with a grin. There. That was all. |

Alex watched the students all raise their hands and saw Ellie giggle, what was that girl on about? The Head girl's question seemed perfectly fine, he had no idea what that 'Sea World' she was referring to was. Debating on wheather or not he should raise his hand he heard his question already asked by several students. Why were they focusing on muggles in every subject? What in Merlin's stinking socks was going on? "Do-" Alex started before cutting himself off. Manners now, Slytherin boy. He raised his hand and started over. "I'm Alexander Reed, but Alex really." he said, only his father called him Alexander when he was in trouble, and hopefully he wasn't in trouble there... "Just not 'Al'." he shuddered. Wait, what was going on? He should be asking his question right about now. "Do you know what's going on with all the muggle-thingies, Prof? I mean Professor Zookara?" Geez, he sounded so intelligent. Very much so. He just had a lot of thoughts on his mind, it was hard to control them all at the same time he- oh lookit, a pencil! Shiny... |
And there was the Trixie. Freddie smiled a little and watched her sit, pleased that he would have some company during this class. He focused his attention back on the lesson, listening to the chit chat and questions from his peers. He had none himself but this, 'them and us' business when it came to muggles made him feel uncomfortable. There was no unity-- how could there be when muggles were kept in such ignorant bliss about the wizarding world-- and Freddie, quite understandably, felt he belonged among 'them', not 'us'. He felt like an intruder just sitting here taking a class called 'Muggle Studies'. He WAS a muggle.. or at least had been up until under a year ago. Hang on one sec.. Muggles could be in danger? His blue-grey eyes fixed themselves upon the girl who said that. Why? What possible reason was there? Unless--but his attention was drawn away when the hot blonde girl sitting next to him asked a ridiculous question. He half coughed, half laughed. Jeez, he really should have explained to her, shouldn't he? He turned and looked at her to see her smiling brightly at him. “You couldn't just wait and see?” He whispered, his eyes glinting with mirth. |

So they could seriously get up and leave if they felt like this was the wrong class for them? Really?! Sierra thought about leaving for just a split second, but then she wondered if the professor as only joking about that or something. Surely they weren't allowed to just get up and leave class if they simply felt like it? Her attention turned back to the professor when he brought up the emphasis on muggles this school year. Sierra honestly didn't have anything to compare this term to since she was only a first year, but from that comment she gathered that sort of thing wasn't really common. Raising her hand, she said, "Professor, the only issue I'm really having is that I'm a pure-blood witch who was raised strictly in a magical world. I've never really had much experience with muggles, so I feel in a way that I'm falling behind because I don't have much to offer in the classes," she said. It was true. Some Gryffindor girl had even pointed out to her--in front of the whole class--that one of her answers in Transfiguration was wrong and couldn't be used. Blahh. "I'm also wondering if there's a reason muggles are being emphasized?" she added. "Oh, and my name's Sierra Greingoth." She probably should have said that first, right? |

Wait, why is he saying there's a special emphasis on Muggles? I haven't noticed anything different than usual. Keefer could be really thick sometimes. Really thick. Whatever. What do I want to know or comment on...? Oh yeah, of course! Keefer raised both hands, waiting to be called on. When Professor Zookara nodded, he said, "It's Keefer, Sir. And I've always wondered how those airplain and hellakopter things work, you know? Like, how can they stay up there?" |
"My name is Chloe professor and I was wondering your thoughts on if maybe someday maybe wizard cures may be able to be used on muggles. I mean it's kinds sad that we just have to sit back and let human lives suffer because our statute", Chloe said matter of factly raising her hand trying her hardest not to get emotional. |
