"Its a cat date then," she declared with a grin. Arya was sure her kneazle would love another friend to run around with, especially since Merlin would be leaving with Sabel. But enough of thinking about that.

"He'll probably show him more than that grounds." The cat seemed to love being scratched behind the ear so she kept her hand there. "It was nice to meet you Mr. Stryker. I should be going now though....got a bit more exploring of my own to do." Had to see what else had changed about the school grounds.

Chad chuckled. "Perhaps you can suggest that to Professor Zookara, the muggle studies professor. He could probably make a class out of it, you know?" That would be cool!

Aaaw, he hadn't even been here for a day and Mico already had a cat date. How cute. Lucky kitten.

"Aaaw," he smiled, taking over the scratching. "It was nice to meet you as well, Mademoiselle," he nodded. "Feel free to come back anytime."

Isobel nodded. "I just might do that," she said. "WEll, I'd better get going now. It was nice meeting you." She smiled at him and sent him a wave before leaving the hut.

Smiling, Arya waved at the new groundskeeper. "I will...we will." We being her and her kneazle. Waving goodbye to Mico as well, she strolled away from the hut towards the willow.

Chad waved Mico's little furry paw before setting the cat down and looking around. No more students? Aaw. Oh well.

With a chuckle, he closed his door and retreated back to his couch.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

So...Maya was curious to see who the new Groundskeeper was, and figured it would be good to go introduce herself and...welcome the person to this seriously odd school.

It was seriously odd.

Having taken a small break from her organizing, the Mexicana decided to leave her 'muddy' boots at her cottage and let her bare feet feel the grass under them, walking towards the hut.
There were a couple of new Professors this year, and she still didn't know who'd she meet. Maybe Jared... she'd have to find out soon because he seemed to know alot about everyone. Snort.

Standing outside, she dusted off her mexican dress before raising her hand and gave the door some gentle knocks. And waited. And wiggled her toes in the soft grass.

momentai 01-10-2011 04:34 AM

Chad opened the door and found himself face to face with another female grown up. My, there sure were a lot of them! They all looked so nice, too. Chad smiled and gave the woman a little wave. "Hello," he greeted. His eyes caught sight of her feet and noticed that they were bare. Brave soul.

Luna Laufghudd 01-10-2011 04:17 PM

Ah, so he was the new Groundskeeper.
Maya nodded to herself, looking at the man before her. And the wave. Heh. "Good day," she had no idea what his name was. "I wanted to come and..." Welcome you? Well... Meh, the Mexicana wasn't one to babble nonsense, "...see who the new Groundskeeper was." because she was curious. And also see if he was any less odd than everybody in this school was. Hehe. "Since we're almost neighbours, it seemed prudent." Yes it did.

Yes...a bit of akwardness went a long way, as she waited for the man to tell her his name. Shees. You first.

momentai 01-11-2011 01:52 AM

Oooh. "Well, that was very nice of you, Mademoiselle.." Err. Had she said a name?

Luna Laufghudd 01-11-2011 06:07 PM

Mademoiselle?

Maya took a moment to stare at the man, turning her head to look at him with better through one eye...like a bird...which basically impaired her vision because she wasn't an animal.

Anywho...
He was french? Or just pretended to be. "Maya Saylen." She reached out a hand to shake his, "I'm the Care of Magical Creatures Professor." And he still hadn't said his name. Was she going to have to ask him? Ay.

momentai 01-11-2011 11:33 PM

Ooh! Chad reached his hand out and shook his, smiling brightly. "Pleased to meet you, Mademoiselle! I am Chad Stryker, former Department Head of Creatures at the Ministry and current groundskeeper." Fellow animals lovers unite!

Zoom 01-12-2011 01:34 AM

Zoey knocked on the groundskeeper's door politely, pulling down on the string on one side of her hat with the other hand. She smiled, looking around. It was a nice little hut, similar to some of their houses back in Alaska. And it was surrounded by the grounds, which were far prettier than she had anticipated seeing. They really were nice. She just hoped the groundskeeper was nice as well.

momentai 01-12-2011 01:49 AM

Chad looked from Maya to the new student that showed up. "Oh, hello there. May I help you with something?" Chad gave the girl a smile.

Zoom 01-12-2011 01:57 AM

Zoey smiled, leaning in the door a bit. Gah, he was talking to somebody *facepalm* "Just getting to know my way around. I figured I'd be around alot and wanted to come say hi." Mhmm, yup. Usually she wasn't quite so awful at her timing. Eh well, he didn't look like he minded much.

momentai 01-12-2011 03:43 AM

"Aaaw, well that was nice of you," he smiled. How cute! "Well, I am Monsieur Stryker. Who might you be?"

Zoom 01-12-2011 12:32 PM

Zoey smiled. Hehehe, french. Woot. "Zoey Ashford. It is a pleasure to meet you Monsieur Stryker." Well he seemed nice at least.

momentai 01-13-2011 12:31 AM

"Aaah, it is good to meet you, too, Mademoiselle Ashford," he responded. "How are you enjoying the term so far?"

Zoom 01-13-2011 12:36 AM

Zoey smiled and thought for a moment, before shrugging. "Okay, I guess. It's much different from where I was at this point last year." Preparing for layers of snow and looking for fire wood, no doubt. It was more relaxing here though. She kind of liked it... and it also made her paranoid.

momentai 01-13-2011 12:45 AM

Chad gave the child a reaally curious look. "Really? Where were you last year, at this point?" He then paused and added, "If you do not mind me asking, of course."

The Mexicana couldn't help but mirror the man's smile for a moment - he did look rather happy. And had lots of titles. "Mucho gusto." Hehe. Former Ministry employee, ey? Ugh, Maya could never work in such closed quarters...not enough space or air. "I figured you were." If he hadn't been the Groundskeeper Maya would've been very confused as to why he was in the Groundskeeper's hut. Snort.

Suddenly, a student appeared and Maya knew it was time to get back to her chores. "It was...nice to meet you, Mister Chad Stryker, former Department Head." Hehehe. It helped her remember if she repeated stuff.

With a nod and a smile towards the man and the student, the Mexicana walked back towards her cottage.

Zoey smiled. "Not at all." Honestly, he was the only person that had asked so far. It was good to know somebody wanted to know. "Alaska actually, I lived there for my entire life before my parents died. I moved here to live with my Aunt." Yes, yes. Such a tragic story. It had taken her a while but she'd learned to accept the fact that both her parents were gone. Now it was just kind of a numb feeling.

Wait...she was leaving already?? "Errr...it was nice to meet you to, Mademoiselle! Do not be a stranger...?" He wondered if she had heard that.

"Oooh, Alaska." Chad scrunched his nose and shivered slightly. "Is it not...cold there and stuff?"

"Oooh, Alaska." Chad scrunched his nose and shivered slightly. "Is it not...cold there and stuff?"

Zoey laughed. "Ah, yeah sometimes. Spring and summer are nice when it gets up to around sixty but usually it's colder." Lots of snow too, but snow was pretty- so that kind of helped. At least when you didn't have to walk through it.

momentai 01-15-2011 04:46 AM

"I do not know how you do it, Mademoiselle," he grinned, shaking his head. "I would be a French Popsicle Man! if I had to live in Alaska. Did you like it there, though?"

Zoom 01-16-2011 08:35 PM

Zoey chuckled. "It's not so bad, once you figure out what you're doing." Making a fire wasn't that hard. "But yeah, I did like it there." Cue sigh. Oh well. Nothing she could do now. "It's nice here though." she added.
