The easiest way to get from one floor to the next is to take the staircase. But, you' better watch out! It moves |

Stopping the Gryffindor prefect turned around on the third floor landing and watched the brown haired snake prefect with his hair in a mess and his cheeks flushing red speeding up the staircase.
Sophie also noticed the tracksuit. Evan had been training on the grounds it seemed the smell off sweat didn’t reach her nose since he didn’t stop directly in front of her. "Hey Evan! What are you doing here?" she said with a cheerier tone that how she felt which was very tired. Luckily she had no patrol duties that night. She was glad to see him really she was just tired since she hadn’t gotten much sleep the previous nights.
Fiddling with her prefect badge she said slowly. "I’m good just extremely tired. I haven’t gotten much sleep lately. How about you? Have you started to train?" The last was a reference to Evan’s current attire. Nodding she said "Yes, I’m going to the lion’s den. I want to leave my backpack in my dorm." Flashing a bright but tired smile at her, Evan said in reply to her question "Just going to Room of Requirement." He didn't tell what he was going to do there though... he didn't like many people to know he was practising football all by himself there, with the hope it'd be adequate to get back into Liverpool Academy next year, once he was 17 and be free to do whatever he wished. No, he had always believed the more people knew of one's dreams, the less chance they would become true. Running another hand through his hair, he decided to change the subject to her, and of course, to the tea party. "Yeah, I do train a bit to keep my stamina," he revealed that much. But no more of saying he was training intensively to at least keep his talent. Frowning slightly, he asked "Why not sleeping enough? Is something bothering you?" He knew it, it was Sebby. That boy had broken her heart, and now she was uncomfortable withh it. He didn't even want to think what the boy had done to her. But he'd get to the dork... oh yes he would.
Biting his lower lip, he looked away for a moment to find the right words before turning back to her. "Before you go up," he started slowly, as he made the eye contact again. "I was wondering if... you know... if you would like to go to the tea party... with me?" He gave a small smile as he shifted his weight to his other leg. Well, at least he could speak properly and not blush this time. A huge progress on asking girls out. |

Well, at least he could speak properly and not blush this time. A huge progress on asking girls out. Room of requirement!
Why did everyone visit the room of requirement? What was so special about it? Okay Sophie had to admit that if you wished you could get a room which held everything you wanted/needed at a given time. What could Evan need a room for though? Intrigued she asked "Are you going to exercise with the proper work out equipment? And that’s why you need the room of requirement?" The brunette had heard that muggles trained on specially created machines to keep fit.
Shrugging Sophie admitted half of the truth "I’m sleeping badly since a girl in my dorm has an extremely chatty owl that get’s over excited when she get’s food and thus chats without stop. Otherwise nothing is really bothering me. I’m in tune with my owl studies."And also I’ve been thinking about Sebby and worrying and playing out different scenarios where you are included. But she wasn’t saying that. No a girl needed her secrets.
When Evan made eye contact with her again she just waited for him to say what was on his chest. He wanted to go to the tea party with her. Oh, no! At that moment she just wanted to shrink through the floor and disappear. Sophie shifted the weight of her backpack before saying slowly with a sad tone. "I can’t go with you to the party. Sebby has already asked me and I accepted. Sorry, But we can still hang out at the party if you want?" Playing with the necklace which Sebby had given her the previous day Sophie hoped that Evan wouldn’t be too sad.

Playing with the necklace which Sebby had given her the previous day Sophie hoped that Evan wouldn’t be too sad. Evan bit his lips. He didn't really want to admit it, but he couldn't lie now, could he? Nodding half-heartedly, he said "Yeah, I'll train there. For the peace of it." He was being silly now, he could tell her. But, he was also quite superstitious about it, and he wasn't going to admit he would be training football. No force could get that out of his mouth.
Listening to her talking, he made a face and the shrugged lightly. "Why is that owl staying in the dorms anyway?" he asked with a small frown. The animal would... die there! It wasn't open air that it needed. No wonder the animal was so crazy... "Ah, OWLs. If you need any help, you know..." he said with a little wink. Not that he was the best of all students or anything... but he knew the classes enough to answer questions, and he knew the format.
Oh. Oh. Her expression had changed into a sad one... This was not good. Had she already found a date? Names flew through his mind in that small instant between her change in expression and talking.
But none of them included that.
Blinking several times and taking a step back as if he was just hit by a strong blow, he took his time to process the latest news. She was indeed taken. By Sebby. When had the boy become only Sebby to her, the prefect had no idea. But he didn't like it. He hated it, just as much as he hated the fact that Sebby had won. And there was hardly anything he could do about it. "I see," he said slowly. Indeed he did. Oh and she actually offered to hang out if he wanted as a consolation?! No, he wasn't going to be that low. Never. Hmpf.
Face betraying nothing though, he said "Yeah right. See you around," in coolness, lingered there for a moment more and then bolted started to run at his previous tempo to go up and bury himself in the room. And yeah, he didn't even notice that the stair had moved, and he didn't know where it lead to now, nor did he care.
He only had to get away. Quickly. |

Charlie quickly made her way up the stairs. Or tried to. Halfway up a shuddering took place as the stairs started to move. "Oh come on! I'm already late." Charlie was irritated. And I mean irritated. She was so going to be late for her class. I'm going to lose so many points. She had been held back because of a portrait one floor down. She couldn't escape till now, the ranting portrait threatening her with going to her head of house with lies. Shudder.
Charlie looked to the top of the stairs as she began to move up. Her foot stalled in the air. "Oh no."
The stair had stopped midway between platforms. Not only that, but the bottom half had begun to move as well. This had never happened that she was aware of.
Charlie was effectively stuck levitating three floors from the ground. "Help," she squeaked.

Was there someone screaming about dying up on the staircase? The Head Girl made her way over at the shout, only two see two girls freaking out about the staircase. The movement could certainly be scary but it was just a staircase. Though they looked like they needed a little help and that was what the Slytherin could provide them with. "You two alright?" she called over raising a brow at them. Yeah, just what she wanted to see on her usual rounds around the castle. Hogwarts was so full of drama wasn't it?

The stair had stopped midway between platforms. Not only that, but the bottom half had begun to move as well. This had never happened that she was aware of.
Charlie was effectively stuck levitating three floors from the ground. "Help," she squeaked. Braeden was quite used to the way the stairs worked by now. It'd be an embarrassment if he wasn't, after having attended Hogwarts for five years now. Ever the energetic little goofball, he skipped some of the steps as he climbed up the stairs, just to jump onto the next as he made his way up the third floor, his goal set on the seventh floor and the Gryffindor tower. He'd just left a wonderful Muggle Studies lesson and wanted nothing more than to be rid of his books so he could head out to the grounds and play football for a bit, maybe find some inspiration for his next movie script.
And then he saw her.
Charlie...? Charlie! She wasn't looking too good... Well, no, that's a lie. She was looking great; she always looked great. But she didn't look like she was in a great situation with the stairs at that moment, the expression on her pretty face looking rather worried and helpless. Braeden to the rescue!
This was the goofy boy's chance to finally be a real Gryffindor - a hero! The one to save the da-- GAH!
He tripped on one of the steps on his way up but managed to hold on to the rail before falling flat on his face. Yeah, that would've been a painful fall... Whew. Anyway, back to saving Charlie. Moving a little more gracefully and less clumsily this time, the tall and lanky boy made his way up the stairs quickly until he reached Charlie's, then slowing his pace slightly as he walked up to the girl and pulled her back from the edge of the moving stairs, his lanky arm around her waist as he pulled her a couple steps back toward himself. Oh, he was such a hero; if he could, he would've patted himself on the back.
Smiling like the big lovestruck doof he was, Braeden just stared at the girl for a moment before realizing he was being a total creep and releasing her while taking a step back on the stairs that continued moving. He cleared his throat softly. "You alright there, Char?" he asked, true concern lying beneath the sheepishness of his expression.

He cleared his throat softly. "You alright there, Char?" he asked, true concern lying beneath the sheepishness of his expression. Amadeus had been making his way down the magical staircase, his hand gliding along the stone railing as he guided himself down the steps. It was no use to hop along and pull silly tricks, as some students did. One never knew if Peeves was around the corner, having just planted a trick. For once, the stairs weren't rather crowded. Most younger students were in classes and the smaller population of older students were here and there amongst the campus, many taking advantage of the beginning days of spring by being out on the grounds.
Thus, it was a rather unusual sight to see a sprite-like blonde standing next to what looked to be an underfed lion as he continued to descend the stairs. Stepping off of the moving stair and halting on solid ground next to the nearest floor of classrooms, the blonde smirked as he recognized the duo. Of course; he had almost forgotten that Braeden had a girlfriend. The Gryffindor's absence in the Ravenclaw's life definitely had not gone unnoticed but because the end of the year neared and the pressure to score well on NEWTs was in high gear, Amadeus had been slightly fuzzy-headed about a few things. First, he had deigned to speak, in a friendly manner, to the Hufflepuff captain, then he had helped his team achieve failure during the last quidditch match. Now he had forgotten about his best mate's puppy love? Amadeus needed a full night's sleep, and soon.
As he descended the stairs once more, he stopped a fair ten feet away and waved, the stair gliding to join theirs. "Long time, no see?" He grinned ever so slightly, adjusting the strap of his book bag.

I didn't think you were strong enough to levitate thirty feet?" She looked down to the bottom of the stairs, Yep. Not connected. Char looked to the top, "Deus?!" What was this? A see Char stuck on a platform with no connections party?
Charlie kept hold of Brae's, cue sigh in his direction, that she had grabbed when she turned around as she looked over the edge. Her eyes widen comically. They had to be at least 300 feet up. Oh Merlin, Charlie was afraid of heights, ever since a bad airplane ride with her parents. Eep! Char turned and buried her head in her boyfriend's chest. Her breaths got increasingly shallow. Oh no. Oh no no no. Charlie was hyperventilating.
Then, Charlie did one of the few things she had never done. Fainted.
