Brielle couldn't believe she was once again, riding on the Hogwarts Express. Only this time, she could feel sadness instead of Excitement. It wasn;t that she didn't want to be finally home, it was just that Hogwarts was where she grew and learned and it made it difficult to say goodbye, even if it was only for a short while.
She picked the first empty compartment she spotted and dragged all her luggage inside. Time to head home.

Kelley walked onto the train and chose an empty compartment. She sat down and sighed sadly. Only a few more hours and she would be back at the train station and she possibly wouldn't see her friends until next term. A small tear rolled slowly down her cheek as she thought about how much she would miss everyone she had met in the small amount of time she had just spent at Hogwarts.
Kelley took out a notebook and a quill and began writing out her feelings.
He started nodding quickly then slowed as he listened to her line up their itinerary "Ok so uh... cat goes to best friend, puff goes to bro and..... the owl comes with us?" Sounds like he can stop wondering on how to handle the little menagerie during the trip. "Right, see Cam n' Capn Curly.... oh and you know Rae?" he grinned "Well then yeah... you'll get to see her house thats like smack in the middle of nowhere, its just hills all around." he laughed as he gestured his arms about.
"Oh and dont worry about Finchley-- thats my valet-- let me take care of him. Besides he'll see you and hears how we already made reservations in Greece and has a schedule to keep and he'll be too polite to stop us" he chuckled.
He lay his arm across her shoulder and leaned in returning her gentle kiss "It is isnt it?" he crooned as he drew his finger and cleared a wisp of hair from her face "Hey.... do you want to see some of your presents? Its your birthday already somewhere in the world anyway."
Lex nodded as he spoke "Sounds about right. Oh I am supposed to catch up with Reese and Jack at some point, so I can see the baby," she said chewing nervously on the inside of her cheek. She may have made a few too many plans for the summer...
"I... I guess I am just worried that he isn't going to be compliant and take you away, which will cause me to Gryffindor at him and... I just love you," she muttered.
Then he worries melted away. Hehehe. "Babe..." she said as she grinned up at him. "I love you... give me my presents please," she said with a naughty grin. Hehehe. Every princess needed lots of presents and attention on her birthday. MHM.
This was it, then. Ellie's fourth year at Hogwarts, come and gone. And now she was on the train. Back to Ireland. She was nervous to see her mother after all this time; after all the harsh letters that had been sent back and forth. Ellie didn't know what to say to her. But in only two weeks, she would be with Alex and Chandler in New York.
Adjusting her bag farther up her shoulder, Ellie walked down the train to find an empty compartment or a familiar face. Those two weeks, couldn't come quick enough. And she wasn't even home yet.
Harper saw a girl that looked a little bit distraught who was looking for a compartment. Harper had just nabbed one and sat comfortably inside it.
"This one is pretty empty, if you wanna join me," she called to the girl before she could walk past. She wasn't familiar, but Harper figured now was as good a time as any to make another friend.
Jeans were stylishly sagging just a leeeeettle bit.
Jake was already changed. He'd done so as soon as he was on the train. No point in prolonging the amount of time to wear that uniform... only... he wore his tie, along with his belt, around his waist.
Forever a Hufflepuff.
Now no longer a Hogwarts student, not really, Jake went on the lookout for someone he knew the spend the train journey with.

Ellie poked her eyes around for an empty compartment, but found none. She wondered where her friends were. Late, probably. As she walked past an almost empty compartment, she heard a girl's voice call out. Backtracking, she looked inside and saw a girl her age looking at her. That was kind.
"Oh, you sure? You don't mind?" Ellie asked with half smile, standing in the doorway. She didn't know the girl, nor did she look familiar. But Hogwarts was pretty big... right?

It was time to look for a compartment, no? He'd noticed plenty of full ones, especially at the back of the train, so, now he was back to where he started...the middle.
There was one compartment that didn't seem to hold many people, it was rather likely it only had ONE student in it, or so it seemed...door opening..."Hey...," and then his eyes noticed who was there, the human boy, "...Jake." A small smile, very small one, appeared on his face. "Ready to go home, eh?" but the boy stayed by the door, as if pondering whether to enter and stay...or keep moving after wishing the former Seeker good luck.

Katie looked to the seat opposite, there was the sleeping Vixy, her cat that looked like a fox, "Vixy" Katie called to her.
Vixy opened one eye tiredly, she wanted to sleep through the train ride, like she did in all of the other rides, she walked over sleepily and layed down on Katie's lap, closing her eyes to sleep once more.

Isobel nodded as she listened to Katie. She didn't know any one who had already graduated from Hogwarts. Well...of course not, she hadn't gone to Hogwarts before. "I'm going to be staying in France with my aunt, and she said I could invite any friends I want. Would you want to come?" Isobel saw someone go by and she waved to her. "Cora," she said. Jake had found himself a compartment and was all settled, having found that there was nobody in this section of the train to talk to, the young man had found a place to sit.
Currently, he was going through the plans in his head. As soon as he reached the station, Jake would apparate to his mother's house by the beach, and he would stay there for a few days... probably the whole week if he could do it.
THEN it would be off to Romania... for a fortnight. Then back to the comfort of his dad's place, where he would stay until the tour... with his dad.
And then... the future.
That big ole scary future.
As he was brooding on this, Jake heard a familiar voice say his name and he glanced around. The door was open and Treyen was there. Wow... Jake HAD been distracted.
"Suppose I've no choice whether I'm ready or not," he smiled at the boy's question. "How about you? Good summer planned?"
Whether it was awkward or not, Jake couldn't tell. Hmm.

Whether it was awkward or not, Jake couldn't tell. Hmm.
THAT made sense. No matter how much Treyen was going to miss a few people who...he was certain he was NOT going to see during the summer...the boy was ready to leave. And Jake...never really answered his question, never mind that the former seventh year was sort of right about it.
Treyen chuckled, "Yeah, I suppose, it's either this or being eaten by a plant." Because that's what Tate said on his speech, right? The soon-to-be fifth year was still standing by the door, only he was casually leaning against it. He...didn't know it he wanted to stay or not, because sharing the train back home with the one person he disliked for most of his life just seemed...odd.
A nod, and then the answer, "I've got nothing planned, really, but it'll be a good summer. I'm supposed to go see Fletcher...," you know, Sir Awesome, "...but I'm sure I'll be seeing more of Rae than him." Work. Grow-up thing. It takes a lot of Fletcher's time.
"So, eh, I hope you have a great life, Jake," yes, Jake, not Morgan, because...what was the point? He was never seeing the boy again, right? RIGHT? "Though, I'm sure I'll be hearing from you somehow," and there was a chuckle after that. Surely Jake could figure out HOW he'll find out about Jake, no?

This was going to be one depressing train ride, Vashti could tell. But she couldn't start crying yet. She really needed to find her seventh year friends so she could say good-bye to them. Then she could cry.
Having no luck finding any of them so far though, she decided to take a brief break in an empty compartment. Maybe they'd find her. That would certainly be easier.

Eaten by a plant? Jake must have missed something. No surprise really... he missed a lot of things with his wandering mind. Hyup.
Fletcher... Rae... both names of people Jake knew but wasn't familiar with soooooooo he didn't have much to say to that.
But what Treyen said NEXT... Jake was slightly surprised by. Have a great life... from Treyen. Wow. AND. And... wait whut? "You will?" ... "How?"
And then, before he forgot or chickened out.
"Wait... there's just one thing. I just... I always wondered... why have you always, like... hated me?" Jake asked, turning properly and leaning closer slightly, eager for an answer.
There. He'd said it. No take-backs.

Sigh. Did he really had to answer that when there were no comments on Sir Awesome?? That was...no, actually, he didn't have any issues with answering that question, especially since Jake seemed rather surprised about something else he said? He only told the boy to have a great life, that's no surprise...or is it?
Everyone deserves a 'have a great life' luck, no? Even Voldemort. Too bad the dude chose differently.
Let's just hope Jake doesn't follow Voldemort's steps.
"My sister, of course." Because Kaika had said that she needed to keep in touch with her friends, those that weren't following Quidditch careers, that is, she still got to see that Rapunzel girl a lot, and Miranda, of course.
And, yes, Jake, let's not get into details.
By now, Treyen decided that it was best if he left, so, he started to turn around...until Jake...man, he was TALL. He'd always wondered...what?
The boy eyed him curiously until his question was out in the open. Eyes widened only a bit after he heard it, and then he looked around, "I've never--," now, that was a lie, but he was pretty uncomfortable with answering that particular question. Not even Arya was aware of it, though, it was rather clear that everyone in Hufflepuff and Bishop knew about his dislike for Jake Upstead-Lawson-Morgan.
Should he? Answer?
Well, if HE was going to do so, then there was something he needed to do first, and no, he wasn't going to punch Jake or anything, but the door needed to be closed.
That's why he took one last look at the aisle and then shut the door behind him. He wasn't closer to Jake, because he'd moved to the opposite side, as he took a seat, "It's not like I hated you," no, really, he DID, but speaking in past tense must be a good thing, no? Either way, he stood up again. "I envied you." There. He'd always envied Jake, and he was very disappointed when he found out the wonder boy he'd always heard about...wasn't exactly 'wonder boy', but less than perfect, like everyone else.
Well, no, not like everyone else, because Fletcher was perfect, right?
"Well at least you got some sleep. I may have to start sleeping in the room of requirement if things don't change when term starts up again." She really hoped things would be different by then though. She didn't want to have to constantly watch her back wondering what was going to happen to her in her own house.
"Of course I'm up for spending time with your family. Especially those cute little cousins of yours." If she was lucky maybe he would take her on another dragon ride too.
"Hey now Room of Requirement is my room." *Matty said giving her a wicked smirk. He wouldn't mind if she was there.*
"I'm sure they would love to see you, Michael most of all. I think that boy has a crush on you."
*Matty had to admit, he was a little jealous of his cousin always getting hugs from Marie.*
Sigh. Did he really had to answer that when there were no comments on Sir Awesome?? His sister... yeah.
Jake... needed to owl her soon. Maybe just go see her and CRY about graduating and leaving everything he knew. But yeah... not right now. He probably wouldn't be able to go and see anyone... as soon as he returned from Romania Jake would return to his father's house. And... like... be sad.
ANYWAY.
He'd never...
Never?
Never gonna give you up?
NO.
Jake frowned when Treyen did speak. "Please... sit down?" he said quietly, and sat back, frowning in thought.
Envied Jake? Envied... Jake... Now that just made no sense!
"Why? What is there about me to be envied?" he asked, clearly confused.

You know what? Treyen wanted out of this compartment. It was perfectly clear, and Jake would be able to see, that he was not in the least comfortable talking about this.
See, he'd made fun of whatever Hadley and the Arithmancy textbook had said, but there was one karmic lesson his person hasn't learned yet. His first test had been Saylen at the feast, and now here he was with Jake. And the summer hasn't even started yet! He...disliked Arithmancy very much.
Then...sit down?
He supposed he ought to listen to Hadley AGAIN, and just have a little more courage to talk about this? The thing is, courage wasn't needed, the boy just didn't want to talk about it. However, he was sure he'll have to face this sooner or later, and...now seemed like the best time he'll ever have.
He sat, okay? Across from Jake.
But the young Lockhart shook his head before looking up at Jake, "You actually have no idea, do you?" because it seemed that the confusion was real. "It all started seven years ago," and YES, Treyen remembers, "When you entered our lives." Clearly, the boy wasn't talking about just himself.
But, Jake had asked 'Why' and 'What'. "It wasn't easy...," he swallowed, and then looked away, "...trying to grow up when you were always there." Jake must be more than confused now, no? "I envied you because I always wished for my sister to speak of me the way she spoke of you." Eyes back on Jake.
"I'm entirely sure she wishes that you were her brother instead of me." And that actually hurt very much.
The truth was, that the Lockhart kids had been different from each other since he could remember, but then listening to the amazing Jake summer after summer, and then not being spoken about the same way...just...annoyed him very much. But now he knew Jake wasn't precisely amazing. And since he was leaving, then he'd think less and less about that.

She wanted to riding Katty, and she missed that horse even if the mean thing knocked her off like all the time. Caroline found an empty compartment and sat by the window. Her cat Salzar come into the compartment behind her and curled up beside her.

Oh boy. Kurumi should have seen this coming. How had she explained airplanes to Eino before? Whatever method she had used, it hadn't been very efficient as he had left the conversation under the impression that Walnut could fly. "Um...airplanes are a form of non-magical transportation," Kurumi said slowly looking around for some sort of inspiration. "Um, imagine that you charmed a bus to fly in the air." With Eino, she had gone into how the engines of the plane produce forward thrust, which in turn makes the aircraft go forward. Also, how the wings are airfoil-shaped, so, when the aircraft moves forward they push air downward, which in turn pushes the aircraft upwards. But, Kurumi saved Hugo the pain of trying to sort through all that.

But now he knew Jake wasn't precisely amazing. And since he was leaving, then he'd think less and less about that.
That's why he didn't hate Jake now.
"I really don't..."
As Treyen SAID it started seven years ago, the ridiculous part of Jake's imagination gave him a vision of the scene fading back to a moment looooong ago, where a little Treyen and 15 year old Kaika sat at... like... a breakfast table for some reason. But he ignored his imagination, because it was weird like that...
And he listened onnnnnn.
And got confused... and everything. Jake ran a hand through his hair in confusion, and gripped, tugging at the blond locks slightly like he always did when he was really like... huh.
"I didn't..." he stalled. Whut? He was never THERE. "She always... saw the absolute best in me even when it was staring her straight in the face that I was so... flawed," Jake said quietly, as though trying to come to terms with this... which he was. "She... she... I envy you."
He was confused, but he was also feeling slightly hurt that Treyen could hate him for something he had no control of... someone else's emotions. Of course, Jake didn't SAY that... he just... looked out of the window and STARED for a while. "It doesn't make sense."
That she spoke highly of him... that Treyen envied him... that Treyen could think Kaika loved him more than her brother.
"I envy... you..." Jake repeated. "And not for having Kaika as a sister..."
For much more.

Kita wandered through the middle cars, looking for an empty compartment. And yet they all seemed to be filled up! Were people this eager to go home? She, for one, would stay at Hogwarts throughout the summer. But that's not allowed, as her mother kindly reminded her in a recent letter.
Huffing and puffing, she dragged her heavy trunk along the cars, wondering when she was going to be able to put this down again. There had to be a spare one right? There usually is. Her owl sleeping in the cage she was holding with her left hand didn't make things any easier.
Just when she ha given up hope, she peeked into a compartment only to notice a familiar blonde haired girl sitting by the window. A smile broke over Kita's face as she pulled the compartment door open. "Why hello Miss Scott. Mind if i join you?" she asked, grinning from ear to ear.

Kelley peered outside her compartment. Mikey was outside talking to some people. She wiped the tears off her cheeks and approached him. "Hey, Mikey," she said softly. The LAST thing she wanted to do was to start crying again. But she could feel more tears so she just stood there, trying to smile it off.

Kurumi collapsed into her seat a bit more feeling relieved that Hugo had caught onto what she was saying. Eino, well, he had an imagination that not even the universe was able to contain, so it really was like teaching a hippogriff how to sing well when she had been explaining airplanes to him. "Does that mean your father is non-magical?" she asked realizing that her and Hugo had never really talked about their families before.
She leaned over Hugo's shoulder a bit when she saw him bring out a check list. "You forgot wandless magic and nonverbal spells," she giggled pointing to the list. Well, the two former second years could dream, right?

Kelley peered outside her compartment. Mikey was outside talking to some people. She wiped the tears off her cheeks and approached him. "Hey, Mikey," she said softly. The LAST thing she wanted to do was to start crying again. But she could feel more tears so she just stood there, trying to smile it off.
"Yo chick how is it going" pulling out his muggle phone out of his back pack and putting it in jean jack then sticking his passport in his back pocket " I am going to have to dash as soon as I get off the train to catch anouther one for Heathrow" looking back to kurumi "Yea he just got back today I was afraid he was goin g to miss our trip "

"I'm doing pretty good I guess," Kelley said. "But I'm going to miss you so much!"
But Hogwarts was pretty big... right?
Harper nodded enthusiastically, then changed it to a shake of the head. "Yes, I mean - no, I don't mind at all." she was sure she wouldn't have offered or said anything if she minded. She gave the girl a smile. "I'm Harper Crickette, by the way." If they were going to be sharing a compartment for how-ever-long, it would be best if they knew each other's names, eh?
"Have you lost a pygmy puff by any chance?" she asked, holding up the little purple thing. "I lost mine about a week ago and a friend found this one, thinking it was mine. But I have no clue who it really belongs to." she put it back down on one of the empty seats. Pretzel, her own pygmpy puff, jumped over to the lost one and began trying to nudge it off the seat. Harper decided to ignore it, as they had been doing this ever since she had found it. "I thought maybe I could find the owner on the train, but no such luck. Unless it's yours, of course," she added hopefully.
