Skyler ran her hand through her long brown hair as she walked into the library reading lounge. In her arms were a slew of books, so much so that she couldn't exactly see anything of where she was going or who she would run into.

"Hello?" She squeaked from behind the books, as she placed them on the table and found a seat near both Elyon and Preston. She knew that she probably, most definitely didn't know them yet because this was the first year she had enough confidence to really talk to anyone in the school. "I-I'm Skyler Manning, but please call me Kyle." She smiled, "its my middle name, easier."

Hmm. The boy didn't seem to want to wake up. She didn't want to be rude and disturb him, but then again, she didn't want him to get in trouble for falling asleep. She poked him again, holding back a small giggle. "Erm... excuse me... You might want to wake up, it'd be rather unpleasant if you got a detention or something...." She smiled at him, even though he couldn't see her with his eyes shut.

Nice to meet you guys... Kyle thought as she got up to go and grab something from the other room. She got up ad grabbed a large, and very heavy book, unwittingly tripping as she walked into the room. "Oh no!" She squeaked as she walked into the room grabbing the book before it smacked anyone in the head.

Elyon looked up at the girl, clutching a heavy book. "Hi Kyle! My name is Elyon James! It's nice to meet you! I'm just trying to wake this boy up, I don't want him to get in trouble, but he's being rather reluctant about it." She smiled brightly at the older girl and held out her hand to shake Kyle's- well, once she put the giant book down.

Kyle looked up and smiled, "Elyon, thats a nice name." Kyle smiled, "if you want to drop the book on him go right ahead." Kyle laughed, she was mainly joking because she had always did clumsy things and of course clumsy things could happen easily when she was around. "What is this guys name?" She asked pointing to the sleeping Preston Turner.

"Thank you! I think Skyler and Kyle are both very pretty names. Especially Kyle, I love that name for a girl." She laughed at the girl's joke. "It would be a quick way to wake him up!" She noticed this girl was quite clumsy, which was something they shared. Elyon had her fair share of tripping over things and dropping things as well. She turned back to the sleeping boy. "Actually, I don't know. I've just met him, if that's what you'd call it." She shrugged, wondering who he was, her curiosity growing with each second.

"Ah the old guy-asleep when reading thing?" Kyle asked and chuckled, as she saw how fast asleep he was indeed. "we could just leave him here, he might just need to sleep something off." He spoke, and smiled quietly. "Did he distract you from your reading?" Kyle asked, and raised an eyebrow, she looked over to Preston and then she spoke once again. "We could always do a sound bubble spell so that he doesn't have a well, very annoying snoring sounds anymore."

ooc: I was in the 2.3 million thread and Miss Dee (Preston the sleeping one) had a sore hip...so might not respond b/c of the pain. bic...

Elyon smiled and nodded. "We could, but I'd feel bad if he got in trouble." She looked over at the large stack of books she was intended to read. "He did distract me a little. I could've kept reading, but I guess curiosity over came me!" She giggled looking back at Mr. Sleepyhead. "I think we could do that. It wouldn't be hurting anyone and we would be able to finish reading!" It was a win-win situation!

"Yeah sounds like fun!" She chuckled, running her hand through her hair casting a quick spell that acted as a sound barrier. The snoring sound quieted down until it was more and more like the creaking of the school. The school itself creaked all the time, not as noisily as snoring though. "Now reading can commence" she chuckled, and looked over to Preston quickly as she read. "Now he can't be heard, so he won't be able to be seen."

As the snoring got softer and softer, Elyon gasped. Not only was he silenced, but he was invisible! "Is that supposed to happen? I wouldn't want him to wake up and have no one see him. That'd be dreadful!" She was glad to be able to read, but she had to make sure this boy would be visible once more.

"Oh darn it," Kyle furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at the disappeared boy. "I think the spell backfired, someone could easily sit on it." She sighed, to test the theory that he was still in fact there she pocked the spot that was there and indeed he was there.

"Okay, re-cast?" She asked, chuckling as she reversed the spell and the snoring once again sounded it seemed louder than before, but that was only because it had disappeared for quite some time. "Lets cast just the disillusion bubble thing for the sound...or look the spell up and cast it." She looked at her book, and tried to think of something to do.

Preston could hear some talking around him, and could faintly make out a new voice. Or at least a voice he hadn't heard before. "N-n-no R-R-Ring-Ringo!" Preston stuttered softly, still asleep. He was dreaming of his pet raccoon attempting to go after the chickens out on the grounds of the school like a cat would.

Suddenly, Preston sat up straight in his chair, a piece of parchment stuck to the side of his face on his cheek. "H-How l-long w-w-was I-I a-asleep?" He asked the girl closet to him as he carefully peeled the parchment from his face.

"I-I'm s-s-sure n-n-no one h-h-has g-g-gotten a-a d-d-detention f-f-for f-f-falling a-asleep in th-the l-l-library." Preston told the other girl, though he wasn't surprised if the potions teacher would be the one to break that...but he hardly ever saw her up there anyway.

Leaning back in his chair, Preston gave a yawn. His little nap made him want to go to the Hufflepuff common room even more now so he could go to sleep.

Kyle laughed slightly, "Hi, don't know how long you were asleep...but good news is your no longer invisible!" She smiled, her small voice trying to hide the gravity of the previous situation.

"Sorry, I kind of botched a spell, made your snoring disappear and you...you know the idea reading the spell out of the book and well, you say it...and poof something horrible goes wrong." She laughed nervously.

"Better than having a miniature dragon jump out of your glass of water and nearly burn down your entire school...that happened once, and yes that was me."

"I'm Skyler but c-call me Kyle," she smiled..."you've got a bit of ink on your cheek," she gestured with her own cheek to right on the cheek bone something that happens when you fall asleep on somewhat wet parchment.

Emily entered the library and made her way to the reading lounge. She dumped her bag beside a very confortable looking armchair and took her seat. Emily kicked off her shoes and pulled her feet onto the couch beneath her. She had a fair bit of reading to get through, and she had a pile of homework which was growing by the day.
"Better start somewhere..." she whispered to herself as she pulled out her potions text book and some note-taking materials. She rested her parchment on the books face and started brainstorming her first assignment for potions.
Emily loved to brainstorm.

Preston brought his hands up to his face where he rubbed his eyes, hoping that it was rub away all of his sleepiness so he could go back to his herbology assignments that he was supposed to be working on...instead of sleeping. Preston nodded his head once, acknowledging that she had no idea how long he had been asleep. He just hoped it wasn't too terribly late in the evening.

Preston's eyebrows knitted together in confusion, what was this girl going on about? She seemed to be trying random spells on random people, and it made Preston a little nervous, but he was so tired that he wouldn't take any action against it. He just hoped he made it back to his common room all in one piece that night, that's all he wanted.

Nodding his head, Preston only half way listened to what the girl was saying, something about a dragon and burning a school down. It kind of sounded interesting to the twelve year old, but then again, most things interested the kid, except for herbology.

"N-Nice t-t-to m-m-meet y-you K-K-Kyle." Preston said nodding his head a couple of times. "I'm P-P-Preston." He told her with a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. He definitely wanted to go back to sleep, but it would be very rude of him to do such a thing when he was somewhat engaged in a conversation.

Ink? Oh, right, the parchment. Preston rubbed the side of his cheek with his hand, hoping the ink would come off rather easily and not smudge around his face. He didn't want people laughing at him or anything. "D-d-did I-I g-g-get it?" He asked her dropping his hand down to table to let her see.

Fallon headed into the library for some quiet reading. The common room really was too loud. She had ordered this really interesting book on photography and had just got it today. She'd really been think about this since her talk with Descoteaux.

Fallon went and found a table near the back of the room. Once seated, she opened her book and began to read. She really wanted to be able to look through this book in peace. Then again, if someone dared to bug her, she would probably try not to be rude. Probably.

Dallin really had no idea why he had decided to read Hogwarts, A History cover-to-cover in one term. Seriously, he must be delusional.

He sighed as he plopped down onto the couch in the library reading lounge. He kicked his feet up and stretched out, staring at the book on his lap. He flipped through the pages, frowning. Why was the book so big? He set the book down on the floor and folded his arms across his chest, staring at the ceiling. Maybe he'd just relax for a little. Read later.

"Sorry about the spell-mixup there, I probably shouldn't read and hold a wand at the same time...it'll most likely be my downfall one of these days in classes that is." She laughed, and gave him a quick smile. "Its nice to meet you Preston," she smiled.

"Yeah its gone" she smiled, Kyle chuckled and ran her hand through her hair.

Fallon had been sitting at the table and started to find it rather uncomfortable. She looked around and noticed that all of the more comfortable places seemed to be occupied. There was only one couch that seemed to even have a seat left and it was occupied by a boy that looked a little younger than her.

Fallon let out a sigh and grab her book and went over to the couch. She was going to pick comfort over peace and quiet. "Mind if I sit here?" She said pointing to the seat next to the boy. She hoped he said he didn't mind and let her just sit there and read her book. She had a feeling that wouldn't happen though.

Looking away from the ceiling, Dal saw a girl standing by the couch he was laying on. He'd seen her on his way in, sitting at the table, probably not very comfortable. He sat up, bending his knees in the process to give her room on the couch. He picked up his book before turning on the couch to sit on it right.

"There ya go," he said cheerfully, gesturing to the empty cushion. He caught sight of the book she was reading, and his eyes widened. "Is that photography?" ... Yes, he was going to talk to her. But that was the girl's fault for sitting by him.

Fallon smiled as the boy moved his legs, making room for her on the couch. She took a seat and opened her book to where she'd left off. Almost as soon as she started reading, the boy started to talk to her. I should have just stayed at the uncomfortable table. At least it was quiet.

"Digital Travel Photography to be exact." After she answered him, she turned back to her book. Hopefully, interruption free this time.

Hmph. Friendly, wasn't she?

Dallin frowned, looking at the girl curiously for a second before looking away. He opened his book to Chapter Two and stared at the page for a moment. Maybe he should do what he came here to do, and actually read the book. He was sure it was a good book, interesting and stuff. But... his attention span just wasn't long enough to pay attention to it for very long.

He glanced back up at the photography girl, but looked quickly away. Hmph. Read, McKinley, he told himself sternly.

...He got about one page into the second chapter before he got bored, closed the book, and started running a finger over the cover.

Fallon smiled as she read her book. The boy she'd sat next to hadn't said anything since she told him what she was reading. The book was really cool and she was starting to become more and more interested in it. Being a travel photographer was starting to become more appealing with every page.

She felt eyes on her momentarily and she turned to face the boy. He just seemed to be stroking the cover of the book. "If it's not interesting you could always go and look for something else." They were in the library after all and it was a valid suggestion. Fallon turned back to her book, done with friendliness for now.

Dallin shook his head without looking up. "No, I told myself that I would read this book." Because if he was going to Hogwarts, he should know about it, blahblahblah.

He looked up to find that she wasn't even looking at him. Ugh. Why were girls so weird? "Do you, like, want to be alone or something?" he asked suddenly and without thinking. He figured he should probably be embarrassed, but didn't bother to be. The girl was confusing him, and if she wanted to be alone he would be glad to leave.

Fallon closed her book. She'd decided to give up on sitting here and reading. At least in the common room, people weren't sitting right next to her and talking. She was so not going to admit that it was her fault that he was talking to her. "Really?" She looked at the book he was reading again. "But that book is boring." It wasn't even worth opening.

Fallon looked the boy over. She'd never really seen him before, so she knew that he had no idea that she could be really mean if she wanted to. And the fact that she owned a beater's bat...She wasn't going to answer his question. She didn't mind him sitting with her, after all he was there first. She just wanted to read not talk.
