As you enter the Hogwarts library, what appears to be a cozy nook in one corner of the main area appears most appealing to the Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. Upon further inspection, you see that this comfy area is larger than it had seemed on first sight. Spread throughout the room are clusters of armchairs, surrounding magical reading lamps giving off different levels of light, all of which are appropriate for reading. These clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects.

Here and there are a few lone armchairs for the student who enjoys quiet solitary reading, and a number of sofas for any that would rather stretch out and put their feet up. Be sure not to muddy them up though!

A soft glow of light is present throughout the room, with more magical lamps in each possible reading space. Be sure not to make much noise and respect some students' wishes to read in quiet.

One last note, no food or drink in the reading lounge.

French. Words. Accent. They all hit her in one blow and she nearly keeled over and died. Something about the French language... Ellie blushed a little for no apparent reason other than he was French and looked away. "Heeey." She said awkwardly when the phrase "private lessons" popped into her head. Guh. Alex...

Chandler looked like he was about to grab his things and sprint out of the library when Ellie took a few steps closer. "Calm down, I'm not gonna pounce on your or anything." She told him with a laugh.

As Cass emitted a yawn, Levi couldn't help but give way to a sudden laugh. It was a good-natured sound, but a little too loud for this sort of quiet atmosphere. He ducked behind the vast book, hoping the librarian hadn't heard him. Leave it to a spaz like him to get kicked out of the library for such a stupid reason. He gave Cass an innocent smile, his expression rather endearing and amusing.

"Boring, right?" he asked quietly. "I probably could learn more from the card itself than this dumb book. God, I could go for some chocolate right now. Why'd you have to bring it up?" He covered his mouth, trying to hide his snickers.

Samira let out a soft gasp. "I am so...so sorry." Of course, sorry didn't really make things better, but Samira couldn't really think of anything to say. She gazed down at the picture Joey pulled out. "She was really pretty." Samira said softly, respectfully. A part of her wished that she never brought this up. She was terrible at comforting people. Cass stiffled a giggle of her own as he suddenly laughed. She was about to remind hush him when he seem to have remembered on his own that they were in the library. Then when she saw the expression on his face she turned a light shade of pink at the expression on his face, she didn't know how to describe it, but it looked wonderful on him.

"Yeah..." she answered idly as her blue eyes moved towards the windows, it was such a nice day outside...one of the rare sunny days they would be having this month...

Then she perked up at the mention of chocolate. She lifted her bag onto her lap and brought out a rectangular bar of chocolate. "I have one right here, if you want to share it's fine with me, but if you want your own bar, then I think we're going to have to go down to the kitchens."

Levi couldn't stop smiling. He knew his face was going to crack sooner or later but he couldn't help it. Whenever he was around Cass, he always had a grin that lit up his dark features. He was certain he must have looked like an overly thrilled moron but he couldn't have cared less. Cass made him happy--happier than he had been in quite a while.

His immense brown eyes when she said that she had chocolate with her. Spending the day with his best friend and chocolate? He must have been dreaming. "Nah, I don't mind sharing." he answered back cheerfully, breaking himself a small piece. He shoved it into his mouth and glanced up again, making sure the librarian wasn't nearby. Who knew what she would have done if she found out they had candy with them?

"You're so awesome, Cass," Levi whispered after he finished his piece, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Thanks!"

Levi wrapped an arm around her, shaking his head. Slytherins always seemed to get a bad rep. Sure, in the past, their students had been deatheaters and dark wizards but in all fairness, that was a long time ago. It was time to move ahead, Levi thought. It didn't matter which house a person belonged in, as long as they were a decent human being and Cass was more than decent. She was the nicest girl he had ever met. He only wished he could have met her a lot sooner.

"You really think so?" he murmured, smiling.

Levi flashed a sweet smile back at Cass. He'd never been this close to a girl before but he liked the excitement he was experiencing. His heart was pounding wildly against his chest as though he had ran a marathon and his stomach felt a bit jittery, like the time he had gotten off a roller coaster at a muggle amusement park. It was a bizarre sensation and also exhilarating but he figured that's what a first crush was supposed to feel like.

Cass froze when Levi pressed his lips against hers. She waited a moment then gently pushed him away. Space, she needed her space. "Hey, we're at the library, I really don't think this is the place for it." She said softly as she looked around for any signs of the librarian. Then she checked her watch and noticed that a few hours had already past since she came in to read her book. She cleared her throat softly then tossed her hair over her shoulder "Uhm, it was nice seeing you Levi, but I have to get back to the Common Room, everyone is probably wondering where I am now.." She could only imagine Alex' face when he finds out what she's been up to. She going to be in so much trouble..

Then she slung her bag on her shoulder, its weight slightly wrinkling her pristine blouse, then she kissed him on the cheek and said with a smile as she drew away "I'll see you around, ok?" Then she walked, her hair trailing behind her, and her heels clicking with each step as she hurried away towards the dungeons

Levi stood there for a moment, watching her leave. He wasn't sure whether he wanted to bang his head against the wall or cry from his own stupidity. He felt like she had just rejected him. He had come on too strong doing that? But hadn't she said before that she liked him that way too? What went wrong? Where had he messed up? He couldn't figure it out but he knew he had screwed up big time. He groaned, covered his face with his hands, and soon he walked out of the library too.

Waasss something wrong? Chandler looked concerned now, his eyes looking more down to actually look at her. "Why...why are you blushing?" He asked completely bewildered. Was Alex behind him or something? The boy turned his neck around to so nothing. No Alex no nothing. Hmm, weird. He turned his head back to see that she looked away, yep. Alex WAS there before and that's why she had blushed and looked away! ...Or maybe it was because she loved French words and anything else what was French related. "'Ello?" He chuckled, smiling at her.

She plumped down and resumed reading Gone With the Wind.

"Only 567 pages to go! You can do it, Elizabeth Woods!" She encourage herself.

She had no idea meeting Chandler Montague would be so awkward.

Ah, phew. He didn't seem like he wanted to run away anymore. Well, that's what Ellie hoped anyway. There, a true Hufflepuff, an invitation to sit down. Lovely. Ellie smiled and took a seat on the overstuffed couch. "Thanks." She sat with her back against the arm rest and pulled her knees up to her chest, making sure she wasn't too close to Chander ~~in case he wanted to run away.~~ "So, what brings you here today?" Ellie asked him.

"Classics, like Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables, this," she held up her book, "Sense and Sensibility, Little Women and so many more, are my favorites. I'm sorry if I bore you with some titles, Rex," she chuckled.

Well she supposed it had to happen sooner or later although it had taken her all term to get here. Mia sat down in the library and pulled out a few books while she waited for Ivan to arrive.

She might as well try and get some study done as well as help Ivan with whatever it was he needed to talk to her about.

Between, him, Finn and Jake, Mia was seriously considering charging these boys for her advice. She only hoped that what she told them was doing them some good.

"I didn't know it was a competition." She said with a laugh. "Actually the last time I was here was the first time I met you. So maybe coming to the library isn't so bad after all." There had been that many of them that it almost could have been a party.

As if Mia couldn't have guessed that it was a girl that had Ivan looking so happy. "Of course. Just a friend." She said giving him a knowing look and then laughed at his relax posture. "Okay Ivan, spill the beans. Something more has happened with this girl then just picking on her."
