Caroline's postive mood seem to fade after he said that she would learn a lot from her dad. She had learned a lot about being a healer from her dad before he died. "I've learned from my dad, but unforturnately He died before I started Hogwarts" She told Rex.

Caroline laughed. "But you're a Prefect, so you must have at least some idea." She opened her ruines book. "Well you know what they. Two heads are better than one." Hopefully that was true, with a prefects head and Caroline's head they should be able to figure it out.

Oh, shame. Evan laughed uneasily. See in what situations labels left people. "Right..." he said. He knew somethings, but he wasn't a pro. Anyways... He nodded. Yeah, two heads were better than one. Flipping through the pages of his books, he pursed his lips. "What are your questions?" he asked, as he gave up the effort to find the right page.

Caroline took this piece of parachment that she had written her questions on:

She showed Evan the parachment. "What are your questions?" she asked him. as she flipped around her book.

" Sorty, I did not know that your dad died" Rex told Caroline. "Sorry, did not mean to be so insensitive" Rex said to Caroline."Well, let;s talk about you" Rex smiled. " Why don't you tell me about yourself?" Rex asked Caroline.

He took himself quite seriously didn't he? Melanie had liked the sound of the job better when he was talking about money and traveling and... well, lovely stuff. She frowned slightly, pondering his words. Had Amadeus suddenly changed his tune or had she just not noticed him talking about the more difficult aspects of the occupation before? Melanie couldn't be sure. When he said it this way, it sounded much more plain. Un-enjoyable, even...

Hm. Melanie tucked a loose hair behind her ear, listening attentively as Amadeus answered her question. She wasn't actually searching for a response, but when he answered her anyway she nodded all the right spots, not missing a beat as he continued. Like Amadeus, for some reason Melanie didn't think she could bear a Ministry job and, yes, he was right, that was where most people seemed to go. Melanie sort of groaned at Amadeus' suggestions, not because they weren't possibilities, but because she was tired of thinking about it. Lately her future was constantly on her mind, and it was more than a little stressing, with graduation creeping up on her now, after years of indecision... And her NEWTs on top of that.

Letting out a soft sigh (yes, she was groaning and sighing), Melanie replied with a simple, and completely honest, "I don't know." She averted eye contact as she shut her textbook, stowed it away, and stood to her feet. "Thanks for trying, though. It was nice talking to you." Mhmm. Even if he seemed a little intimidating at first, and maybe a little more serious than most of the people she tended to associate with, Melanie had decided Amadeus was intriguing.

She was tired, though. "I think I'm going to head for my common room. I'll see you around." That said, Melanie wasted no time. She directed a small smile at the Ravenclaw, swung her bag over her shoulder, and waved goodbye, before starting for the door.

Before he knew it, badger girl was already on her feet and heading for the exit. Amadeus, having not much time, if any at all, to say goodbye sat in bemusement, doing a double take between where she had just sat and where she had just vanished from sight. Interesting girl, she was. Seemingly sugar with a pinch of spice, but definitely not as weak or prissy as Amadeus had gather from initially seeing her. There was definitely more to her mind than quidditch and Hufflepuff-like nonsense, that was for sure.

Smiling and silently laughing for a split second, he shook his head to himself and flipped open his immense bore of an encyclopaedia once more. As Deus read, it was the recent encounter and not the failure of a quidditch practice that clouded his mind.

The library. Again. She didn't really know what she was doing here. She didn't have time to read, she needed all her time for her homework! But then again, she really didn't want to do it. She needed a distraction from it all... So that is why Ellie Johanson was at the library on an average March day.

Scanning the endless amount of shelves, she wandered through the library, looking for an interesting pick. Then she spotted a green, beat up, paperback book. Hmm. Ellie read the spine. The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore. Ellie had only heard of this book a couple times, but she'd never actually seen one before.

She reached for the book and just as it left the shelf, a folded peice of paper fluttered down to the ground.

"Um, excuse me?" asked Samira tentatively, not used to talking to people from other Houses. "Have you ever read that book before? I was just wondering if it was a good pleasure book...

Ellie heard a soft voice behind her and turned around to face a young Slytherin. She smiled at her, "Actually no, I've never read it." She said with a shrug, glancing at the battered book again. Though she should have. She'd read like, every book in the whole library, but had somehow never come across this one. "But I think I will now..." Ellie muttered. Then she glanced back at the girl. "Unless you want to read it. I can find something else, if you're interested in this." She said with a smile, lifting the book up a little.

"Oh, no. It's fine," Samira smiled a little. She didn't want to bother this girl who was clearly trying to read her book. "I was just wondering. I can't really find any good reads...I'm Samira by the way. Samira Spinks."

The library wasn't exactly Chandler's favourite place in Hogwarts, it was more of his least favourite place but nevertheless he had to come here to do his homework. He found the common room too distracting and if Kaia was there he was bound to be distracted, he would never get his homework done with distractions. So this was why Chandler was going to find a random place to sit, maybe with random people who he would have never seen before, it didn't matter to him as long as he got his homework done.

Sighing, he threw his bag on an empty seat and sat next to it, placing his homework on the table. Now all he had to do was to start this homework.

......Not that he knew what to do. FAIL.

Smiling at the girl, Ellie retracted the book and smiled. "Alrighty then." She said casually. "Well what kind of books do you like? Maybe I can help." She suggested. And it was true. Ellie was a book junkie and she couldn't deny it. She read books all the time, especially during the summer when she was trying to avoid her mother.

"Hi Samira, I'm Ellie Johanson. Nice to meet you." She said with a smile towards the younger girl.

Picking up the paper that she dropped on the floor, she heard a thump of someone hitting a couch nearby. When Ellie straightened out, she saw a blonde boy looking bored on a couch with his homework on a table. She could tell he wasn't a homework fan.

Ellie tore her gaze away from the boy when she realized... She'd seen that boy before. She moved her eyes back towards him and tried to figure out where she had seen him... Wait for it... Waaait for it...

"Chandler?" She blurted out. Chandler Montague? Chanchan? French boy?! Oh Merlin, she hoped that was him. I mean, he looked French, right? Pff, right. Like people could look French...

Samira grinned. "Pleasure to meet you as well." Samira was very grateful for the older girl's kindness. "Thanks for helping," Samira smiled again. "This is really my first time in the Hogwarts library, so..." she let her voice trail off before saying, "I wouldn't mind finding a book that will help me with my dueling skills. Or Transfiguaration. Or potions...or Charms." She laughed softly. She was doing well in all her classes (well, except for Transfiguration...but that didn't really count). But Samira always wanted to be above and beyond, especially with her parents pressuring her to be at the top of everything. Sighing, she said, "Really anything that can help train me-in anything really." Samira hoped she wasn't pushing it. This girl was being extremely kind enough as it was.

First time in the library?! That was simply not okay. "Really? What year are you in?" Ellie wondered. To Ellie, she would have to really try hard not to end up in the library. Ellie was a nerd. Ellie tapped her finger on her chin and listened to her library buddy. "Oh, Charms." She piped up. "I read a really good book about charms not too long ago." She said with a smile. Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes. In fact... Ellie scanned the shelves again, looking for it. She spotted the battered book on the next shelf over and walked toward it.

Pulling the book off the shelf, she handed it to Samira. "Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes." She said. It's quite an easy read, it's basically just old charms that no one has ever heard of, but it's kinda cool to see what charms we don't use anymore. I've even tried a few myself." She said with a nod. Yeah, because she was that nerdy.

Marie couldn't believe it was already nearing the end of March. That meant OWLs were just a couple of months away and she still didn't feel confident that she would pass them. So here she sat in the library once again studying. This time though she chose one of the comfy sofas to sit on instead of those not so comfy chairs over by the stained glass windows.

Sitting there with her feet pulled up under her and her Ancient Runes book on her lap she just stared at the words on the pages. To someone passing by it would appear that she was really concentrating on what she was reading... or else she looked like she was in a daze. Either way, there was no reading going on. Her brain was once again mush and the words on the pages were just a blur now.

Was it spring break time yet? She so needed to get away from school and studying.

*Walking into the library Matthias looked for a new book to read. All this studying is killing his brain. He needed a fun book to relax with. Seeing a familiar person on a very comfortable looking couch Matty walked up behind Marie and plugged her nose.*

Feeling her eyes starting to close Marie knew it wouldn't be long before she was falling asleep. Before that could happen though someone was grabbing her nose.

WHAT THE!?

Jerking her head back she felt the back of her head hit something... or someone.

OUCH!

*Leaning back Matty tried to get away from another bloody nose. Instead he got a bruised chin and fell on his bum hard.*
"Bloody hell Marie... well at least your not dead."
*Rubbing his chin and bum he stood back up looking down at her.*

Grabbing the back of her head Marie rubbed it. At least she didn't feel a bump ... yet.

What the heck? Turning around seeing Matty on the floor she grinned. "Oops, sorry Matty. Why would you think I was dead?" Did she look that bad sitting there? "You wanna sit with me? I promise not to hurt you anymore." She could use the distraction from studying.

*Walking around the couch he sat next to her. Ahhh the felt better to sit.*
"You looked dead, eyes all glazed over. I wanted to make sure."
*Matty said with a laugh. Seeing the book Marie was studying he smirked.*
"Enjoying runes?"

Marie smiled as Matty sat next to her. "Trust me, I'm very much alive." Even if she was starting to feel like a zombie from all the studying. "I'm really sorry about your chin." Hopefully it wouldn't bruise on him. She didn't miss how red it was right now.

Was she enjoying runes? Did anyone other than Jim ever enjoy that subject? "Oh yeah. It's my favorite subject, can't you tell?"

"I'll take that as a no. I enjoy runes."
*Rubbing his chin he frowned a little as it started to sting a little. Matty really did like runes, he always got good marks in that class. So he knew that he would get full marks in his O.W.L's.*

"I don’t hate the class. I just don’t always understand it. Do you actually understand all… this?” She asked waving her hand over the book that was on her lap. Jimmy did try helping her with the subject, and that study session really did help… but it was still a subject she struggled with.

Watching Matty rub his chin she reached back and rubbed her head. It was still a little sore but at least there was no bump. She did feee bad that she had hurt him… again. Maybe the boy would be better off if he stayed away from her then he wouldn’t always be getting hurt. “You sure you wanna keep coming around me? I mean you seem to always get hurt when you do.” Then again, maybe he liked it since you know, he did keep coming back for more.

"Yep I do, I even helped Mia get top marks one class."
*He laughed a little remembering that day. Matty laughed again when she commented on him always getting hurt when he was around her. With a shrug he smirked over at her.*
"I think it would hurt more if I didn't hang out with you."

"Well maybe I'll just have to have you help me study for my Runes OWL." She didn't seem to be getting much studying done with her current study partner. Not that she was complaining. She rather liked the subject they had been studying. Maybe she would find him later and study some more.

Awww... Matty was gonna make her cry. "Really? Not hanging out with me would hurt more than a broken nose or a bruised chin?" That was like the sweetest thing he ever said to her. Leaning over she gave him a hug. "Thanks Matty. I'd hate it if you stopped hanging out with me." Keeping her arms around him she put her head on his shoulder. If someone would have told her a few months ago that her and Matty were gonna be such great friends she would have laughed in their face. Today though she would totally agree with them.
