Strange was the ease that seemed to have wormed its way into the reading lounge and their conversation. Maybe this was what he needed after a long, rough practice: a chat. Even if it wasn't so, it was not an oft occurrence to find someone with such a reputable last name. Everyone at Hogwarts knew the story of how he had once been a professor and had gone loony after some strange episode. The mental wizard had withered away to nothing at St. Mungo's.

Setting the book to the side, he leaned over and cast a derisive glance at the book that the 'puff referred to. "I came here to try to clear my mind. Or, at least, clog it with so much information that I would forget about the stresses of the day." Pushing the book even farther away from him, he began, "Encyclopaedia of Toadstools. One of the most dense works Hogwarts owns, I believe. Reading encyclopedias tends to calm me, usually." He knew that his words might have sounded odd, but it was true. Filling his mind with knowledge normally cast a serene effect on the seventh year; however, since herbology was not to his taste, this book had rather the opposite effect.

She walked over and grabbed Ben's arm. "Excuse us for one second! I need his help getting a book down." She drug Ben down one of the aisles of books. A change for once since she was the one he was always dragging. She turned and faced him with her hair on the verge of turning bright red when she knew that they was out of ear range. "I will always worry about you no matter what. I worry about all my friends, but mostly you. It's to the point where some days I can't even perform the spells correctly if I notice you're not in class." She paused for a momenet. "Do you REALLY want to know what's going on with me and my parents?" She asked. "I'll tell you, but you MUST PROMISE to not harm them or send your father to harm them." She waited for him to respond hoping he wouldn't be too mad for the whole dragging thing.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone reading an encyclopedia by choice.” Leave it to a Ravenclaw. Personally, she was pretty sure that if she tried to read an encyclopedia, a headache would come her way, rather than a cleared mind. Melanie watched as he picked up the dense book, her expression brightening a little as she read the title. “Ohh. I like Herbology... At least, when the plants we're studying are friendly ones.” ...Yes. Of course Melanie preferred the friendly plants. She hadn't been to a Herbology lesson in ages now, though. Hm. Maybe she should make a trip to the student gardens soon.

"I was thinking about the Huntington's disease," she said, turning another page. "It's... terrible." Helena was slightly shivering, just thinking about it. "And even more terrible once it gets in it's last stages."

She took out a few pieces of parchment and a quill from a small bag she was always carrying around with her. A small bag full of... emergency things. Like parchment and quills. She also placed a few on the table, in case Viola needed something. If she was a freak, carrying that stuff around with her, it didn't mean that everyone was.

Now... Title? She scribbled Huntington's disease, then glanced at her piece of parchment. Here comes the hard part. Where should Helena start from? Symptoms, she added, lower on the parchment, then looked again in the book.

She suddenly looked up at Viola, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Do you think there's something bad happening to the muggles?" Uh... why was she talking about this? Again? "I'm sure there's a reason we're doing all this." Like the Potions for muggles club. And every lesson about muggles.

Ok. That's a surprise. "Well, there are many muggles who are suffering from diseases for which there is no cure and we might be doing this mainly because we can help them, in a way. You know? Our magic may help in saving so many lives." Viola said, doubtfully. "It's just a guess, though."

Caroline nodded "I would to the same" she laughed she would do the same if everyone said that about the Slytherin house. A dance studio that's cool she was never balanced enough for dance. That's why she had taken to piano and sports. "That sounds awesome, Well I want to be a Healer when I'm done with school." She told him"So you dance? I don't or can't but I play piano."
