Library Reading Lounge As you enter the Hogwarts library, what appears to be a cozy nook in one corner of the main area appears most appealing to the Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. Upon further inspection, you see that this comfy area is larger than it had seemed on first sight. Spread throughout the room are clusters of armchairs, surrounding magical reading lamps giving off different levels of light, all of which are appropriate for reading. These clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects. |
With an air of confidence, Jake strolled into the room and gazed around. Yes... this would do perfectly. The young man headed straight towards an armchair that was no different from the others and positioned the lamp beside him so that he was lit up, rather than his chest. He was not, after all, Tony Stark. He had already christened this place his unofficial headquarters... and right now he was just waiting. For Salander. |
So if Adam was going to be able to play on the Quidditch team he needed to know some information on the school- he had heard the school was very well informed.Lookng the shelves up and down he found the book Kurumi had always spoken about, Hogwarts A History. Flipping to the first page he opened it and began to read. |
Selina grabbed the two books she had gotten from the shelves and sat down in a comfy chair in the lounge. There were other students among her and she flipped open to the first page of "Which Broomstick" and began to read all about the small finite differences in Quidditch. When they had mentioned an oddity about a Broomstick she pulled her bag out, her mother's expansion charm still on it from Diagon Alley and pulled out her copy of "Quidditch Through the Ages" to double check the fact. When it proved true she contently continued to read. |

He spotted Jake seated at the quiet (cant it get anymore quiet?) corner of the library, his face lit up from below, like one of those campfire storytellers about to tell a spine-tingling horror story. "Sup Jake" he uttered, as he sat himself opposite the Hufflepuff "So whats the lowdown?" |

Jake gave the Slytherin a welcoming smile, shifting in his chair slightly, the better to talk. Sup? "Nothing... you?" That was the appropriate answer, right? Yes, on to business. "I doubt you've noticed, not knowing there is such an issue, but Treyen Lockhart seems to have... an issue with me," Jake explained, not letting the frustration of the matter show. He wrinkled his nose for a second to kind of shift his sunglasses up, even though they were already up enough. "I want to know why. It bothers me, not knowing. So... I had a plan of some sort. Nothing against Hogwarts rules." Merlin, no. It was too early for that. Just yet. "I think, anyway." Jake waited to see any kind of reaction... perhaps he knew Treyen? |

Sitting down she looked aroud for other studends that where reading, the Slytherin noticed her two Gryffie friends Selina and Adam. Adam and Fee had met at the library often, seemed as if the continued that.Hehe. Waving she smiled towards them and opened the book. |

"Hey Panda girl.Look I am reading something historical. Hogwarts, A History. Have you signed up for Quidditch Try Outs yet?"He asked, remembering how they had both teased each other over Quidditch. |

bahahaha literally Jakey :P Quote:
Little Treyen? As in Nargle obsessed Treyen? The same Treyen who is Fletcher's #1 He was waiting for Jake to burst out laughing but he looked pretty darn serious. "Treyen Lockhart?..." he began "Treyen Lockhart from your party at Diagon Alley? I spoke to Treyen there and he said he knew you....." he shrugged "didnt seem that he had a problem with you." Sure the boy would tell Salander everything like a father confessor right? Oh but there is "A plan....to get Treyen to confess?...." he added gingerly. And a mischievous grin formed on his lips "What do you have in mind?" And whadaya know... he didnt even hear that bit about Hogwarts and its rules  |
Raven seated in the chair fronting the table, he flipped the cover of the dust book, "Defensive Magical Theory" he read, so many spell, jinxes, charm, and other practical uses of magic during a duel and before it happen, well --of course Raven didn't understand it all --for him a Muggleborn, what do you expect. He continue reading the book, he didn't care it all but to know something is a likely an achievement. |

"He has a problem alright. Since the first time we spoke. I don't understand and I don't like not understanding. As for confess... it's a bit of a strong word. A... forced heart to heart sounds better." Jake smiled, realising he'd just made a joke. "Nothing too heavy. You talk to Treyen in the Entrance Hall... and kind of edge towards the broom cupboard where I'll be waiting. Just nudge him in and we'll lock the door and I work it out with him. Maybe." Or make things a thousand times worse. "I've seen it done on muggle movies and it always works." |
Jack! Now that Iris had the books that she needed, the prefect decided that she was going to just sit in the library with them for a few hours. Besides everyone in the Slytherin common room caused too much of a noise for her to be able to focus on the reading if she were in there. Finding herself the comfiest unoccupied chair, Iris dropped the heavy books down onto the table next to it, then sat down with her legs crossed. Iris picked up the top book, and opened it on the introduction, then began to read. |
Jess! Quote:
His brow was furrowed in concentration as he looked through one of the potions he had to write an essay about. He hardly noticed if anyone was around him at this point so he let out a grunt of frustration and threw the book down on the table in defeat. |
Quote:
It made a really loud bang, and an even louder echo down all of the rows of books, startling Iris and causing her to drop her book in surprise. She looked at him, with an eyebrow raised. Was the book that bad? "Ehh... You might want to not do that to the books..." She said, thinking about the Librarian. Scary Librarian + abusing books = baaaaaaaaaad scenario. One that Iris didn't want to get into. Iris picked up the book from the table, and looked at the title before passing it to the boy. Potions. Iris smirked slightly. Well, that explained it all. |

Eben looked up to see that there had been a blonde girl sitting in the chair across from him. His ears flushed as he watched her pick it up and look down at the title. "I just got a bit frustrated.." he replied quietly, wondering why she had smirked at the title unless she felt her pain in not enjoying potions as a subject. 'What if you're in the middle of the forest dying and you need to find a plant to help relieve you?' his mother would ask in her uppity voice that made her sound too posh to function. "Are you any good at Potions?" Eben asked, looking at the blonde girl. It was a comfort that she didn't look younger than him, because otherwise that would not have helped in the least bit. Perhaps he could have a study partner or something. |

Yeah that Treyen Lockhart. He's a problem child.... Salander listened at Jake's plan. "Get him into the broom cupboard. No sweat." Yeah there are benefits to being older and taller-- and being Slytherin . "Oh and just in case that heart to heart ever comes down fist to face... just give a holler." he adds cracking his knuckles. Well at least one of them will be hollering by then thats for sure. He leaned back into his seat. No the discussion aint over yet. If anything, it was just beginning.... "Whats in it for me?" |
Quote:
He had been waiting for that last part, and had been considering it since he had his idea. "Whatever you need, or want, as long as I can manage it, of course," he shrugged. Jake really had no idea what would benefit Salander. He had connections with Professors, businesses, the muggle music industry, shops... ... ... girls. "I have no idea what you might want. Name a few things... off the top of your head." Because Salander could already HAVE what Jake could offer. |

The prefect looked back down to her book, and grinned to herself when he asked if she was any good at potions. "Well, I got a D in my Potions OWL. So... it depends on what you consider ''any good'' to be." Iris said, sighing. Honestly, though, no matter WHAT he considers "any good" to be, this prefect still probably wouldn't be any help. As Iris thought this, she wondered what Lafay would do, if she knew that HER prefect wasn't doing NEWT level Potions... Whatever it could be.... It would probably be scary. |

"At the rate that I'm going, I'll probably get a T." he grumbled and sat back in his chair in a huff. But where was his manners, especially since he had frightened her a bit in his tirade. "I'm Eben Wallace by the way." the lanky boy held his hand out to the blonde and gave a small smile. Yeah, smiling was a bit new to him but it was becoming progressively easier with each person he introduced himself to. |

"Of course I did.I was about the fourth fifth person on the list- not many people wanting to be keepers maybe about 3 other people. "He told her. Then he contorted his face , it went all serious, should he tell her what he had been thinking the past day or so. Best to get it out in the open- he hoped not to make her blush. Swallowing quite loud he said in a constrained voice, "Fee...I need to say something." |
Quote:
"Just stop it Adam",Fee laughed,"do you want to see me blush ore what?"The boy seemed in an incredebly good mood today. What was it about?!But Fee liked it."You are pretty awesome yourself by the way.",she winked.Otherwise they wouldnt be friends, right?!Hehe. "Ohh you did?",the blonde smiled widely,"thats awesome.I am sure you'll get int he team."That meant they would play against eachother if she made it too.Oh glitter, woulsnt that be totally exciting and awesome? But then something changed. Why was the Lion so serious now? Did something happen?!Seemed like fee was missing out."What is it?",she asked trying not to let him know she was worried. |
Quote:
"But most of the students wanting to be keeper are older and have been on the team for years- I hope I get subsitute at least- that way I may be able to play every now and then...Adam said with a shrug-better than not being able to play on the team after all that work he had done. "Don't worry it's nothing to worry about."He reassured her before starting up again. "I'm sorry I caused all that drama for you last year. Especially when I liked you while you were with him...I mean- I never wanted to fight with you. I'm just saying that because I think there might be something with you and someone else, and I want you to know I won't get in the way for nothing this time..."He said with a grimace and nod. |
Quote:
"Adam Burn",Fee said shaking your head,"you are sooo obnoxious."The girl did not liek it to blush somehow it was embarrassing."But would you tell my why you are in such a good mood?"It fel realyl good to see him this happy. "You are a lion dont be afraid",he Slytherin told her friend,"just dont.I am sure you're doing good."Maybe some players were older and had been on the team before but that was no reason for him to be afraid. He hadnt been here before so Adam couldnt know if he would be in the team for years then now too."I am sure you get subsitute",she nodded,"why shouldnt you?"Thinking positive was the best. |
