A great number of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves fill the library, creating rows and aisles of books available for students to read and check out. When returning books to the higher shelves, just hold up the tome and the shelves will take care of the rest; there's a spell on the shelves which summons the returned book to the correct place. Of course, when retrieving a book, they don't 'know' what you're looking for, so those who aren't yet accomplished in the use of the Summoning Charm may use one of the sliding ladders that move around from bookcase to bookcase.

In front of each set of shelves is a small desk with a jar of billywig stingers on it. Students can sit at these desks to complete homework or copy down notes and book references. Be aware that other students may need to access books above you… so mind your head.

You can find any book here that's appropriate for all school years, so browse to your heart's content.

I came here to find a book on human to animal transfiguration to do some independant study cause I love this sort of transfiguration. I have even been considering an animagus but I don't think I will.", Chloe ended with a grin.

Fee made her way to the library bookshelves.The girl really had missed to just go around and look through all the different kinds of books.Maybe a love novel this time? or some crime fiction?!Mhhhh... hard decision, really.There were so many cool books and reading got her insipration for her own stories. She should really carry on with it, after she had left Hogwarts there had been no time for carrying on.Unfortunately.

Once again the blonde noticed how good it felt to be back at Hogwarts,weird to say that about school but it was more than true.

Ducks can fly, walk on land, and even float on water. What could better? So what animal would you choose if you became an animagus Aimee?".

Taking the book from Chloe, Aimée put it into her satchel with a grateful smile. "Zank you so much, Chloe!" she said, grinning at her. "I shall look for mine and return it to you as soon as possible." she promised. As soon as she got to her dormitory, she'd look deep through her trunk for it, and then owl her dad if she couldn't find it.

Kurumi made her way through the rows and rows of books. She was looking for a copy of the Ministry of Magic's employee lists or archives. She was sure it was somewhere around this area seeing as there were rows and rows of books with the biographies of various Ministers of Magic and a few "Everything you need to know" related titles. "It's got to be around here somewhere..." Aha! Kurumi pulled out a thick leather bound book titled Internal Magic Through the Ages and the Wizards Who Were. Her father had been the head of this department and had help create the alliance between the British and Japanese Ministries. Surely he would be in here.

That name was very familiar, but he couldn't quite recall who it belonged to. He thought it would be rude to ask Kurumi for the book when she was using it, so he would look at it when she was done.

Iris wandered into the library, feeling a bit put out. Term had only just started, and Professor Kingsley had left. So, she had the feeling that the new Transfiguration teacher wouldn't help her with this... Y'know, because the teacher would want to get into some kind of routine and just used to the school before going and getting involved in anything big like that. It was a shame, really... but Iris figured that studying the topic on her own for a year would really help next term.

As she walked down the aisles, Iris looked for the shelves that had the Transfiguration books on them.

Scanning all of the shelves, Iris looked for the titles that had anything to do with the study of Animagus transfiguration... Hopefully there'd be some helpful ones in the regular section of the library. Iris didn't fancy trying to gain permission to go into the restricted section.

Frowning a bit, Kurumi used her finger as a bookmark to flip the book to it's front cover to see if there was a copyright date somewhere. "No...he should be in here...this book says it goes up to 2070. My father was certainly at the British Ministry before that..." Kurumi flipped the page back to where she had been previously and slumped onto the floor with it held open on her lap. "Do you think I should just start from page one?" she asked looking up at Eino from the floor. She should have brought cookies...this was going to take a while.

Eino said, with his voice cracking in fear, as he picked up the book with his trembling hands. He handed it back to Kurumi but it looked like she couldn't see him. He stood awhile waiting for a response but something seemed to have distressed her. "It's okay, the noise wasn't that bad... I suppose." Eino attempted to console her, thinking she had been frightened by the sound, too.

Chris retreated the library, as she always did when something bothered her. Here, buried among the lovely distractions of millions of pages, she could read and forget. She wished desperately that she had time to talk to Derian. She missed him. But he was...busy.

She worked back and forth, trying to keep Finland off Britain's radar because Finnish wizards very much valued purebloods, which Britain didn't seem to do anymore, so she wanted to cut their ties. She also worked with the Muggle Ministry so she was famous in both worlds. The point was, Venäläinen was her married name, and Elo was her maiden name, this proved that the book registered factual data only.

Kurumi was off in her own little confused world and didn't even heard Eino speak to her about her father's looks. Why was her father listed under the name of Gaunt? He was Hollingberry, she had even seen pictures of her grandparents. Sure, she had also seen the same old couple in a few clothing magazines too, but she had always thought that they were models. She had never been told otherwise.

Unless...those weren't her grandparents and that picture on the table at her home was nothing more than a magazine clipping.

"Hey Eino can I see..." but by the time Kurumi had brought herself back to reality, Eino had already flipped to a different page in the thick book. "Who is that?" At least Eino didn't look as in shock as she had.
